The online retail giant Amazon is known for its resistance to unions. And John Logan, a professor of labor and employment Studies at San Francisco State University in the US, explains why some companies, many of them American, are so doggedly anti-union. We are firmly in Chris territory today, as it's a video game adaptation. Although we do learn Steve has played a Fallout game before, he's not sure which one, but he has! How does Fallout on Amazon Prime fare for a longtime (since 97) fan and for someone pretty much brand new to the franchise? Find out all this, some Phantom Menace talk and a whole lot more on a new Episode One Pod.
Gen V, Frasier, how could you imagine a better 188th spectacular? We spend about the first 45 minute son Gen V, how it relates to Pretty Little Liars, and whether it succeeds enough to get Steve to pay for Prime. Then we do a quick check-in on Frasier, where in we discuss Kelsey Grammar's career more than the show. Then we spend the last half talking about shows from the podcast's past and set ourselves up for the road to 199!!!

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) speaks with Janey Lee Grace about The Sober Club, sobriety coaching, NLP, EFT For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/janey-lee-grace Highlights from today's episode include: Janey Lee Grace So, I'd wake up at 3am, and, a voice would be saying to me, what are you doing? Stop it, this has to stop. This is not who you are, this is not authentic with anything you're meant to do. It's not okay. And it would be so clear and so strong that voice. Janey Lee Grace I used to justify myself well yeah, but the wine I have its good quality wine. It's organic wine. I mean I'm sorry but it's actually BS it really is. It's all just toxic liquid is what it is. That's that that's the reality of it. Janey Lee Grace Well, number one, I'd always say do a minimum 30 days of not drinking at all first, then you can just reset everything. But number two, the top tips would be set your own parameters around when you are going to drink then so is it, I don't know, Wednesdays and Saturdays or whatever it is for you. Set your own parameters, but then add in another rule. And that rule is that you commit to never drinking, if you are upset, or fearful or angry or stressed. Live from the no panic zone—I'm Steve Gruber—I am America's Voice— I am a man on a mission to make this nation better—and yes, I am proud to say I believe in America First— Here are three big things you need to know know right now-- ONE— Amazon is killing 18,000 jobs and Alan Greenspan the former Fed Chair says recession is coming—BUT don't worry Joe Biden is doing great! Just ask him—he'll tell ya! TWO— Ex Capital Police Chief says he was kept in the dark over threats leading up to January 6th—and blames Nancy Pelosi and politics for what happened— not Donald Trump, WOW! THREE— The fight for the gavel continues— Kevin McCarthy has thus far refused to give up—even after losing 10 roll call votes to secure 218 votes to be the next Speaker of the House— McCarthy is despised by members of the Freedom Caucus who have had 20 members reject McCarthy over and over again—and right now—there doesn't appear to be a Plan B— not from McCarthy or his opponents— So, the question now—is where we go from here—and can the GOP find a candidate—if it's not going to be McCarthy that can unify the party—and secure 218 votes for Speaker— IF SO—Who is it? And look it really doesn't matter what the Democrats are blathering on about—there is not any pressing business that isn't getting done in Washington—the whole refrain of ‘we have to get to work for the American people' is truly non-sense— Committee assignments would not even come until 3 weeks from now—and even then—it's just not that big of a deal— whatever is not getting done—will never affect you or me— And honestly—when gas is back above $4 in the spring— and energy prices soar during the coldest part of the winter—which is still to come—Americans are not going to remember the political theater that played out in the first part of January— Trust me—soaring inflation, eggs at $5 a dozen and unemployment numbers that are rising because the Fed is fighting to get Joe Bidens economy back under control will be back front and center for people in this country— The wide open border and crime that continues to spiral out of control will be the things moms and dads will be thinking about—and those in traditional Democrat voting blocks will continue to leave the ever more socialist blue team in search of a new political home—that's why Republicans for the first time in several elections secured not just the House of Representatives but also the popular vote by several million votes—that is an indication of good things to come— Pair that with very unfavorable math both for Joe Biden and his low approval numbers—and the number of Senate seats the Democrats have to defend next year—and you really start to understand—the arguments among Republicans about who can really lead this country out of the economic wilderness we have been abandoned in by reckless policies and feckless politicians will be long forgotten— Can Kevin McCarthy still salvage the gavel? I don't know—and if he can, will he be able to govern at all? That is also a question for which there is no answer today— The Freedom Caucus has shown it has political muscle and is more than willing to flex that to get what the more conservative members want— And what they want is an end to the insane spending—an end to the insane green new deal garbage that is hurting millions of Americans— An end to the endless flood of illegal aliens that want to turn this country into just another third world mess—an end to sending billions of dollars to shady leaders like Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ukraine— An end to weakness dealing with the Chinese Communist Party—an end to meddling with Iran—an end to promoting the sexualization of kids at ever younger ages—an end to teaching those same kids that America is a rotten place—an end the gravy train running 24 hours a day for those in Washington—while America's train is getting run over a cliff— They also want an end to the intelligence agencies imposing the political will of the socialist Democrats on all of us by hijacking social media companies along with nearly every major so-called news outlets in this country—to censor and silence anyone who dares to question left wing ideology— So, if this is what the left calls radical—then please count me in—and if this is what they are trying to prevent from continuing by blocking Kevin McCarthy and other bought and paid for insider politicians no matter what political party they claim to represent—then count me in— And if it means finally digging into the scam run on Donald Trump and the American people by Hillary Clinton and the dishonest media outlets—and the likes of George Soros—then yes—count me in— And finally—if it means holding Hunter Biden and the entire content of his drug fueled empire that is detailed in the laptop his crack addled brain forgot about—then yes by all means count me in— America is supposed to be a nation of laws—we don't need immigration reform, we need to enforce our immigration laws at the border starting yesterday— We don't need justice reform, we need to enforce the laws we have on the books already— We don't need gun control; we need to hold those using guns illegally accountable and prosecute them to the furthest extent allowed by law— Again, if this is radical, then by God count me in— Oh and one more thing—if it means standing up for the National Anthem and having school kids recite the Pledge of Allegiance every morning—to the greatest nation ever established then by God YES—count me in— If this is the measure—then I am a radical! And damn proud of it too!

I am running into more people who say things like, "I'll start my podcast as soon as (event)," or "As soon as I get (piece of gear)." In some cases, they have been waiting for YEARS. So today I'm going to pull back the curtain a bit and show you how a podcast doesn't have to be perfect (as I leave in things I normally might remove) Ready To Start Your Podcast You may think nobody would listen to you, but I'm here to tell you they will. I have proven strategies to help you identify exactly what your audience wants. You will sound professional, and won't have to spend a million dollars to sound great. Learn through our online tutorials, live group coaching and a private Facebook Group filled with brilliant podcasters. Join worry-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee. See schoolofpodcasting.com/listener Because of my Podcast: I Won An Award Craig from te Live Well and Flourish started a personal show called, "Live well and Flourish" which lead to other podcasts that Craig created for Louisiana Tech University (where Craig is a Professor) and he won an innovation award for making podcasts to go along with a textbook he c-authored. Learn From Other's Mistakes I Had the Wrong Country in An Episode I had typos in a blog post (due to multiple tabs) Leave some "Margin" in your life so you can pivot. Have at least one episode recorded and ready to go. Replace your file with a new repaired file. with the exact file name. If you're using Dynamic content, make sure your volume levels are consistent. Spotify only uses mp3 files (so don't upload an m4a file). I recommend 128 kbps stereo mp3. RX10 Is Released This software has tools to clean up audio. We play "bad" audio and their "enhanced version" and again I say, sure this audio was somewhat shrill. I'm not sure spending $800 is worth the results. If you listen, there isn't a TON of difference. Check it out at https://supportthisshow.com/rx10 You don't need this software to create a podcast. If you record things with a decent microphone, in a quiet area, you are probably "good enough." I'm not saying that you can do "whatever you want." Again, you are aiming at perfection but you land on "Very good." Post Purchase PRO - Profitable Email Marketing For Amazon Sellers
Welcome Emma Schermer Tamir. Emma transforms are insatiable curiosity into conversion spiking copy as Co-founder of Marketing by Emma. She's helped over 650 businesses around the world, boost their sales, building their brands through authentic, compelling cup, excite your dream clients, and turn your websites, your Amazon listings or more, into effective sales machines with the Amazon team. Welcome, Emma, we're so excited to have you here today on the Post Purchase podcast. Thank you both, for having me. I'm really excited to be here with you today. Yeah, great. So before we get started, Seth, why don't you introduce or bring the first question for Emma, and then I will follow up. So, welcome again, So take it away. Yeah, well, before we get too far into this, Sean, I just wanted to kind of, re live some moments from a couple of months ago, Emma. We were able to all come together in this amazing beach house. We call it the retreat, right? And Emma was the life of the party, brought in so much energy, and as soon as, you know, as we're wrapping up the event, we knew that Emma was definitely someone, we wanted to get her message out, and bring her on the podcast to share, Because what she shared with us over that weekend was amazing, where her and her team are able to dramatically help Amazon sellers make a lot more sales. And some of the things that she shared with me, we want to kind of extract it from her today. So, Emma, let's take it all the way back, and kind of, you know, tell us a story about how you discovered marketing, how you kind of got into this world, and what kind of set you on this path. First of all, I think this is the first time in my life that I've ever been called the life of an apartment. Wallflower. So, I kind of fell into marketing. I was always a strong writer when I was younger, and I was just taking jobs, even during college. And whenever a boss discovered that I could write an e-mail. Well, they're like, well, do this newsletter, or we have this blog, or, you know, and so I just kind of fell into it that way before I even had an official marketing title. And so as I started to have some of those opportunities, I began to just grow more interested in, in that space. And I think what really grabbed me about marketing is that it allows you to explore so many different facets of things, so it's not just about how to put words on a page. It's understanding human psychology and the impact that choosing one word over another word can have on whatever behavior it is that you're trying to get from somebody. And so that's what really sucked me in and sort of took me on this journey to where I am today, where I own my own copywriting firm. That's, that's beautiful. So, as I said, we gotta change to hang out and get to know you. And your wonderful, bouley energetic has been a really good time. He makes me feel lazy, because he's just so full of energy. Me, too. I started to put in college, and in my coffee, after you talked about it. And now, you can see my cruise speed are kind of going away, dissipating a little bit. So you like you like the collagen. Yeah, it doesn't just adds to my coffee, adds a little bit, a couple of calories and makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my body. So yay for me. Well now I have an alien like LED mask that I've been trying out that's supposed to stimulate collagen production and minimize fine lines. So if you're in the mood, spend a few hundred joking about that

A while back I received an email from a listener asking about the meaning of life according to nonduality. He reasoned that if we are not individual selves – if personal existence is an illusion and not real – then what is the meaning and purpose of our human lives. It all seems rather pointless, he reasoned. Those are not his exact words. In fact I cannot find the email, so I am not sure he asked the question in those exact words but that is the gist of it.I want to address the sense of meaningless of human existence if we are in fact not really individual persons and have no future existence as persons. Some teachers embrace this meaninglessness openly. Tony Parsons for example calls human life “wondrously, gloriously meaningless.” If you have heard Tony on video you can just picture him saying that and laughing. Here is another quote by him. “All that is happening is meaningless, but it is so beguiling and fascinating that the mind is absolutely sure it has meaning.”That is how Tony approaches this question. He celebrate meaninglessness. Others are not so happy about it. One Amazon reviewer of his book “The Open Secret” call his approach “meaningless nihilism.” I like Tony Parsons. He has a radical and simple approach that appeals to me, without all the religious and spiritual trappings. I like that. The strength of his message is that it is blunt and uncompromising, which is exactly what many people need to hear! But I would use different words. Nonduality is expressed in and through everyone differently. People express it differently. I would not use the word meaningless. I do not think that human life is meaningless. In fact it is very meaningful. But it not meaningful because we are persons. It is meaningful because we are not persons. And we sense that meaningfulness not as persons but as nonpersons. Yet this meaning is expressed through persons … like Jesus and like us.As a Christian I look to the teachings of Jesus. Nothing against Tony Parsons. I think he is great and I recommend his videos and books. But Tony Parsons is no Jesus Christ. I want to look at what Jesus says is the meaning of life. But first I explore where most people seek meaning in life and then compare it to what Jesus says.

Are you struggling? Parenting can be so hard, right? Our lives are so stressful and chaotic. There's so much to juggle. Maybe the only “fun” that you seem to get is the chilled glass of sauvignon at the end of the day? Or are you a gin aficionado? The thing is booze is not the “answer to all your problems”. That in itself is an oxymoron. In this episode, Janey and I discuss the joys (and yes, I do mean JOYS) of ditching the booze. This is not a preachy episode by any stretch of the imagination - but it shines a light on the life that you could enjoy without focusing on the next drink. Janey discusses how you can successfully pave the way to upscale your sober life. ~~~~~ More about Janey Lee Grace : Janey Lee Grace is an Amazon No 1 Best-selling author, speaker, and co-presenter on the UK's biggest radio show, BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright in the Afternoon. Jeff Bezos made Amazon into one of the world’s biggest retailers, but critics argue he did it at the expense of his workers. Now, one Alabama warehouse is voting on whether to unionize, a move that could spark major change, even here in Canada. Recode’s Jason Del Rey on how Amazon got here.
In this episode of The Opportunity Podcast, we will be speaking with Henry Marcacci the owner of two successful businesses on Amazon in the KDP and FBA spaces. In his story, he shares how he leveraged his expertise in supply chain management and his passion for writing indie novels on KDP to break into Amazon FBA ownership. Henry used his FBA acquisition as a learning tool for online businesses and managed to 5-6x his business in the process. He advocates for finding businesses that are “blessings in disguise”, the kind you can fix up and make it stand out in the crowd. Henry highlights how anyone can turn their passion and skills into a successful venture with the right strategy and work ethic in place.

She hosts the annual Janey Loves Platinum Awards to recognise the best in natural and organic products and services. After ditching the booze in January 2018 Janey has launched a podcast ‘Alcohol Free Life’ and runs The Sober Club focusing on sober self-care. In todays episode: “Alcohol is the only drug we have to normalise not taking” Alcohol is ingrained in our culture for all manner of social occasions ‘Grey area drinkers’ - there’s a broad scale of people’s relationship with alcohol Rather than asking “am I drinking too much”, ask “would my life be physically and mentally better without alcohol” The link with anxiety It might be difficult in the initial phase of ditching alcohol Benefits are so widespread including weight regulation, or less concern about weight, and improvements to sleep, skin and joints Mental benefits included a renewed sense of hope and clarity, and feeling brave enough to do something they’ve always wanted to do such as starting a business or travelling or doing something creative “Alcohol steals your joy and being sober can make you brave” Janey started The Sober Club as she realised there were lots of resources to help people stop drinking alcohol, but she wanted to align with her experience of holistic living (e.g mindset, meditation, self-love) Stopping the term ‘giving up drinking’ as you’re never giving up anything. Janey uses the term “ditch the booze” instead Janey had tried to ditch the booze for many years. She interviewed many Hay House authors and the conversation was often about self-love, but she wasn’t practicing it herself. She describes it as inauthentic as she was controlled by alcohol and didn’t know how to stop Clare Pooley’s book : The Sober Diaries helped Janey to stop drinking alcohol on New Year’s Eve Deprivation isn’t a good tactic psychologically. The new approach to sobriety spins this on its head for a more positive approach The fear of being ‘sober shamed’ for not drinking alcohol Prepping in advance by telling people that you’re not drinking (for whatever reason you choose) and calling the venue ahead and seeing if there are some alcohol-free options The rise in alcohol-free drinks for grown-ups Your good friends will support you in not drinking alcohol, and if they don’t, it’s time to cut them loose 0% alcohol is the biggest area of growth for some drinks brands Some people replace alcohol with sugar. The craving for sugar can be a chemical imbalance that requires support Turning to exercise can be a good replacement for dopamine as well as other aspects of self-care such as yoga, walking in nature, meditation, hypnotherapy Sitting in stillness even for 5 minutes is helpful and can then be increased over time It can be confronting to engage with feelings instead of numbing out with alcohol The brain isn’t fully developed until 21, so drinking before that age is damaging Alcohol is linked with over 200 illnesses, including 7 types of cancer, not including mental health issues The impact on others Alcohol is the number 1 most harmful drug David Nutt’s book ‘Drink? : The New Science of Alcohol and Your Health’ Lifesearch did a survey where they found that 24 million people self-medicate with drink and drugs Seek professional help if you are clinically dependent on alcohol Mindful drinking A period of total abstinence (at least 30-90 days) rather than just reducing intake The Sober Club Janey Lee Grace Imperfectly Natural TED Talk: ‘Sobriety Rocks - Who Knew’ Janey’s Podcast - Alcohol Free Life

Stop Package Theft From Your Doorstep! - Don’t be a Victim of the Porch Pirate GrinchDon't Let the Porch Pirate Grinch Ruin Your ChristmasIf you buy gifts online and have them shipped to you, you run the risk of having those gifts stolen right off of your front porch by criminals known as porch pirates. Estimates are 23 million people have been victims. I want to ensure you are not one of the many people who will have packages stolen this holiday season. Here are 6 ways to protect against this common crime.First, the new Amazon Key service. This is a recently announced delivery option by Amazon. Amazon customers buy a lock and video camera system at a cost starting about $250. Once installed and activated, Amazon delivery representatives can unlock your door and leave packages inside your home. The door re-locks after the delivery rep leaves. There is one small problem: this brand new system was hacked several days after it was launched. Amazon sent a patch, but according to reports not all home systems were properly updated. My advice: run away from this service and run very, very fast and far. Due to the multiple risks inherent is this type of system, I cannot recommend the Amazon Key service.Option 2, Amazon’s Locker Service. One Amazon service I whole heartedly recommend is their Locker Service. Amazon has installed secured lockers in more than 2,000 locations such as 7-11’s, Whole Foods, Safeways, and other retailers. When you make a purchase from Amazon, you can designate one of the locker locations as your “ship to” address. You’ll receive a notification from Amazon letting you know the package has arrived at the locker. You simply go to the locker location and enter the access code you’ll be given by Amazon to retrieve your package. You have 3-days to pick up your package. You can also initiate returns at the same location if that turns out to be necessary. You’ll see a photo of the Amazon Locker kiosk at my local Safeway store in the show notes, available at www.SafeLivingToday.com. A third option is a system called Package Guard. This device is about the size of a Frisbee. Delivery personnel place packages on the Package Guard and you’re instantly notified that the package is waiting. If anyone takes the package before you disarm the Package Guard, an alarm is activated. The Package Guard costs about $90. You’ll find details at the company’s website located at www.thepackageguard.com.A fourth option is to have packages delivered to your workplace. Check with your company to ensure they allow personal package deliveries. If they do, this is a great option.Option five is to require signature verifications for all packages, or for packages that contain expensive items. This can be inconvenient, specially if you’re typically not at home. It does, however, provide an added layer of package protection.Option six is to rent a P.O. box for a few months at the Post Office, a UPS store, or other mail handling service and have packages shipped to the P.O. Box address. Prices will vary, but typically a 3-month rental at a UPS store will cost about $75. Renting a P.O. Box from late November through February can provide a secure delivery location for your holiday packages.Video Cameras:A word about outside video cameras. You’ve probably seen videos of people walking onto someone’s porch, taking a package, and running to a waiting vehicle. Sometimes the image quality of the porch pirate is excellent, sometimes not. While I do recommend video camera installations to capture activity in your yard and at your door, cameras won’t stop a determined criminal from stealing your packages. Video cameras may help identify the criminal, but if a thief’s face is covered the video images could prove useless. The best way to protect your packages is to not have them available on your doorstep. How to Handle Missing Packages:What do you do if you are expecting a package, but when checking the normal home delivery location it doesn’t show up?First, check all doors and the area around your garage to ensure the delivery rep didn’t place the package in an unusual location. UPS and FedEX hire temporary workers during the holiday season and your usual delivery person may not be the one delivering a package.Check with neighbors to ensure the package wasn’t left at the wrong address. If after checking around your home and talking with neighbors, it’s obvious the package is missing, notify the company who shipped the package and confirm their records show the package was delivered. Let the seller know the package is missing and report the theft to your local police. If the package was shipped via the United States Postal Service, notify the postal inspector’s office as well. How about insurance reimbursement for packages stolen from your porch? Depending on your policy, you may be able to file a claim for insurance reimbursement. However, your deductible will probably apply. Check your homeowners policy and call your insurance company if you are thinking of filing an insurance claim for stolen items. But if you choose to employ one of the six methods to keep your delivered packages safe, you won’t need to worry about a Grinch porch pirate stealing your holiday gifts. To summarize those six methods, they are:- Sign up for and use the new Amazon Key Service. I do not recommend this new service, but it is an option.- Use an Amazon Locker near your home as the “ship to” address. I do strongly recommend this service.- Purchase and use the Package Guard product. You’ll find details about this product at www.ThePackageGuard.com.- Have packages delivered to your workplace.- Require signature verification for all packages or packages containing expensive items.- Rent a P.O.Box at the Post Office, UPS Store, or other mail handling service and have packages shipped to the P.O Box address.Choose to employ one of these safe package delivery options, and the Porch Pirate Grinch will not ruin your holidays.Thank you for joining me for this episode. I like my Echo. In my house, we use it to play radio stations, to get the weather, and to answer questions like "When was the Edo period?" One thing I don't often use the Echo for is music. That's because it sounds terrible. As good as Amazon's Alexa voice service is, the Echo's black tin can croaks out audio just a notch better than the 20-year-old Coby FM radio I keep in the garage.
The Future of Amazon 2017 The future of Amazon is going to be challenging for Amazon sellers. Products are becoming more competitive and this making the Amazon space more congested than before. Therefore, people need to find a way that they can assert creativity in their sales by creating something original or by adding something original to the already existing products. One Amazon seller found a way to improve a product that already existed. By adding a feature she was able to become the only seller in that space with that kind of product. Now she’s taking home over $100,000 in the last 6 months. There are numerous ways that one can do this. The most basic form of creativity originates from understanding what feature of a product attracts the consumers. Then come up with a way that you can alter the originality of the product to make it unique from the original. It is important to understand that just because you have created a unique product that is one of a kind, does not mean that getting sales is going to be easy. It is best to learn ways to convince people that what you product is what they should be spending money on. This can be done through pay-per-click campaigns to gain attention. This is one of the ways to enhance private label space in the competitive market. Diversification of Marketplaces Diversification is the key to success in making sales right now. Just because a specific product is selling, does not mean that it will still be in demand in the future. Diversity also applies in terms of market as it is important to not only focus on one location but rather try and access other countries in order to widen your perspective. The future of Amazon is going to be having a presence in many different marketplaces. We’ve seen how politics can affect your business in the Brexit vote and the election of Trump. The GBP lost value and now you won’t make as much money by selling to the US. For US seller, the new president’s stance on imports might make it more expensive to buy from China. Also, if you plan on selling in the European markets, you have VAT to deal with. Having clarity in your numbers is very important in improving your sells. This does not only mean having knowledge of how many products you are selling but rather understanding how to set your targets using your expenses. This entails having viable knowledge on how to minimize refunds and take advantage of reimbursements. These are just some issues that a seller needs to be aware of. Be sure to head over to amazingfba.com/shane for all the interviews and a list of resources available. If you need help with your numbers, please head over to Fetcher and give it a shot. It’s time for you to get your Amazon private label questions answered from Scott Voelker, an experienced private label sales professional who is actively building his business both on and off Amazon every single day. You can submit your questions and hear others ask their real life PL questions and Scott will give his best suggestions, answers, and tips for how to resolve the problems that are presented. If you want to ask your own private label questions, listen to this episode to find out how you can! Is it “legal” with Amazon to put my website URL on my product packaging? One of the main ways you can build your Amazon private label business is to capture the email addresses of the people who purchase your products so that you can then remarket to them with discount offers, other product possibilities, and more. But how do you get the email addresses of your customers? One Amazon seller has the idea to put his website URL on his actual product packaging. But is that legal according to Amazon’s terms of service? On this episode Scott is going to answer the question from his own perspective. His take is interesting because the answer is not very clear in the Amazon terms of service. I’ve ordered my first private label product but am starting to feel like the market is too crowded. Help! If you’ve already got your products or they are on the way to you, that’s great. Way to take action! But sometimes you might start to second guess yourself while you’re waiting to receive your products. It’s not unusual for people in that situation to continue to check their niche and begin to feel that they chose the wrong product because the market is too crowded. If that’s you, what should you do? On this episode Scott fields that question and gives some hopeful answers to make the most of the products you already have. You won’t want to miss this one. I’m considering the purchase of Jungle Scout Pro… can you help me understand the options? Two of the best tools out there to help Amazon private label sellers make the most of their product research and listings is Jungle Scout - but it comes in two versions - the basic and PRO. What is the difference and how do they work together? Scott is personal friends with the creator of Jungle Scout and he has used both versions of the product. That means he’s got a very solid experience and opinion about the software and on this episode he shares the differences, similarities, and which you should get if you’re looking to get into Amazon sales. Should I include multiple words in my search field to get exact match keywords set up? There’s been mixed advice over the years about how to use the “search terms” field in the backend of your Amazon product listing. Some people have said that you should not repeat words in those fields while others say that it’s OK to repeat words to maximize the possibility of being found for long tail keywords. Which is right? On this episode Scott outlines what he’s heard on both sides of the argument and invites listeners to submit their split-test data regarding keywords so he can report on it to the rest of the TAS community. If you want to be part of this experiment, go to the contact page on the website and let Scott know! OUTLINE OF THIS EPISODE OF THE AMAZING SELLER [0:04] Scott’s introduction to the podcast! Cass and Bob interview John Draper, author of “A Danger to God Himself.” John is a former evangelical who decided to write a novel from the perspective of two Mormon missionaries. One Amazon reviewer wrote, “This book is a mild reminder that questioning things is natural for people whose mind is not totally blinded by the dogmas they’re living within.” And another wrote,” John Draper has constructed a cast of fascinating characters who each have interesting story-arcs in their own right…A Danger to God Himself is funny and tragic in turns, and is an unusual twist on the Mormon missionary narrative.” We taped this talk on January 16th, 2016. Scott recently attended Podcast Movement, an incredible event for podcasters that powerfully equipped many people to take their podcast to the next level. But the highlight of Scott’s time at PM was not the main sessions or the inspiring talks… it was the time he was able to spend informally with people from The Amazing Seller community. This episode is a one-of-a-kind conversation with a handful of TASers who were at the Podcast Movement TAS meetup. They discuss getting started, overcoming fear, busting through roadblocks, and a whole lot more. Roadblocks come to every business. It may be when you discover that the product you planned to sell on Amazon isn’t going to be as profitable as you thought. It could be when you come to the place of ordering your product and fear of writing that big check comes to the surface. It could be when you need to start a PPC campaign and realize you know nothing about how to get started. No matter what the roadblock is, you’ve got to learn how to overcome it. In this episode of The Amazing Seller, Scott leads a discussion between Amazon Sellers who have faced every one of those roadblocks. You’ll hear how real sellers got past the things that often stop business owners in their tracks. It’s an inspiring conversation to encourage you to keep taking action. Fear is a sign that you’re making progress. Think about it… you don’t feel fear when you’re sitting on the couch watching TV. Why? Because you’re comfortable. You’re within your comfort zone. There’s nothing to fear. So when you feel fear as you take the next step in your Amazon business, it’s a good sign… it means you’re moving. It means you’re growing. It means you’re doing the things needed to make your business grow. Listen in as Scott and some of the TAS community discuss their individual fears and roadblocks and how they overcome them. Answering the “what ifs” in your own head. Fear often takes the form of “what if” statements that surface in your own thinking. “What if I make a mistake on my product research and start with a bad product?” “What if nobody gives me product reviews?” “What if it’s a bust and I make no money?” Those what if questions are a sign that you’re coming up against a roadblock and that it’s time to grit your teeth and push through it. In this episode you’ll hear how real people have pushed through their own “what if” questions to create an Amazon business that is successfully providing the lifestyle they imagined. You can’t make it alone. You need a community behind you. The discussion you’ll hear on today’s show is proof of that fact. It was recorded at a recent meetup of TAS community members and almost to a person they attest to the power of having the TAS Facebook community as a support and resource. They needed the encouragement and support of others in the same business, and you will too. Listen to this episode to hear how you can connect with others who are doing an Amazon business like yours, and how you can contribute and learn as you build a business to support your family and lifestyle.
