The Impersonal Laws of Light, Love, and LifeAs a student of the metaphysical and spiritual realms, I've come to deeply appreciate the profound insights offered by the universal laws that govern our existence. Wisdom From The Sea Oracle Deck. Anne: I have a brand new Oracle Card Deck called Wisdom From The Sea. I have been trained as a certified Dolphin Energy Healer. It's like any other kind of energetic healing like Reiki. I consciously ask the dolphins and the whales to send their powerful healing energy through me. I'm somebody who is not sensitive to energy. I can't see it or feel it. Some people can see auras, but not me. What I do get is, in my mind, it's like watching a mind movie that the dolphins and whales send me, a series of images and messages for my client. Oracle card decks are great if you have a challenge, a question, or if you just want some guidance. Swimming With Whales When we swim with whales, we're not swimming, we're floating, and they're swimming around us. There's nothing we can do to keep up with a whale when it wants to swim. Usually we'll find a mom and a calf and Mom will go down and just rest. But baby has to come up more often for air than mom does. So when baby comes up for air, sometimes it'll come take a look at us and they'll wonder, ‘what are you guys doing here?' We met a baby and that was amazing. Now we're not allowed to touch the wild whales, right? Well, this little baby did not read that memo and it literally came to every single one of us and touched us and reached out. He literally reached out his pectoral fin to me and it was inches from my face. And I just gently laid my hand on its pectoral fin. And she went inches from a number of my group. Everybody in my group touched this baby whale or the baby whale touch them. It was the most amazing experience. Words of Wisdom “I'm seeing in my mind's eye, this beautiful eye of a whale that's looking directly at you and just beaming you so much love and to let you know that you are loved, you are not alone, and the whales and dolphins are here to support you and guide you. All you have to do is ask”. Have you ever thought about creating your own oracle card deck? I did. I had the idea for years and wanted to create an intuitive tool for my clients. But not knowing about design & publishing prevented me from making them a reality…. Until now! In this episode we talk with Anna Frolick who helped me make my deck a reality. Anna is an author and founder of Wonderland Publishing. After merging her creative and intuitive gifts she designed her own oracle deck and now helps other aspiring creators do the same.  Important Considerations When Creating an Oracle Deck  Firstly, it's important to find a printer early in the process to ensure you have someone that can execute your vision. Having the correct templates to begin the creative process will make for a much smoother production. Also consider your strengths and what you feel comfortable doing on your own versus where you need help and support. If you don't have any experience in distribution (for instance), then make sure you work with someone well versed in that area.  The Process of Creating a Deck  According to Anna, a clear vision is the most important aspect of beginning to create a deck and as she said, identifying the printer who can execute it to its fullest potential. Next is finding someone aligned with your vision to work on the creative (if that is not something you intend to handle). Having artists who understand your aesthetic and writers who are knowledgeable about your content are critical to imbuing your message into your cards. Then after proof-reading and print production, you are ready to make decisions about distribution. There are many distribution options from doing your own storing & shipping, to using a fulfillment center to handle all those logistics for you.   The Best Way to Get Your Deck Printed  The two most common ways to get your deck printed are print-on-demand and print-in-bulk. Printing on demand means the decks will get printed as orders are received. According to Anna, this is a good option for prototyping or if you are just getting started and don't have a big following yet. She feels bulk printing as the best option. There is a 500 deck minimum print order but it usually incurs better pricing per deck and more consistent quality.   The Spiritual & Intuitive Benefits of Publishing an Oracle Deck for Entrepreneurs  Oracle decks are a beautiful way to share your work with the world and create an introduction to your business. Combining them with other offers can also support your business. For instance, using them in free online readings can bring in more clients for paid readings as well sales of the deck itself. Sometimes physical products are easier to sell. the customer can see, touch, experience that product to make the decision to purchase. Being Spiritual & Ambitious, I bet you've found yourself before caught up in the constant wheel of doing, doing, doing. Sometimes we forget how to get back to that place of being able to receive and find our way back to alignment. When someone gives us help, a gift, or a compliment, receive it gratefully. As well as when our feelings get hurt or something isn't going the way we intended we need to let that in the same way. When we force ourselves to suppress the more “negative” aspects we end up holding onto that energy. Which then turns into the very thing that can block our manifesting of the “big” things in our lives.   Accept Yourself  There are days where you are not going to be that perfect version of yourself. It is in those times that we need to accept ourselves anyway. Perfection is the version you claim you need to be to attract what you most desire, when it is in fact the opposite. Patty explains how it is letting in all aspects of yourself that gets you to your highest and best life the quickest.  Clear Space To Make Space  When we usually talk about manifesting and receiving we are talking about the more esoteric concepts. But it still remains important to keep our physical spaces clear of the items that spark guilt or make you feel “less than”. Patty shares a recent real world example that seems so simple yet had such a huge impact for her.  Learn Your Intuition  This tenet is where Patty and I overlap in our teaching. Her method identifies the importance of discovering how your intuitive language is unique to you. We have to let go of old beliefs and expectations of how we think our intuitive messages should come in and learn to accept them the way we are designed to receive them; whether we see, hear, feel or know what Spirit needs to communicate.  Do your 100%  This step is about how to surrender. Your 100% is a very physical experience. You will absolutely feel this in your body. Do the steps that you know to do until you are met with too much resistance to proceed. That is your 100% and it gives you permission to stop, hand it over to Spirit, and re-energize. There are a lot of myths about intuition and messages from Spirit. One is that you only receive Spirit messages in one certain, specific way. Another is that intuition only happens when it happens. I'm here to challenge those myths. I believe that you receive messages through your unique Intuitive Language® and you and develop that language to communicate with Spirit at any time. This led me to develop a step-by-step process to do just that. Let's dive in. You may be surprised at what your Intuitive Language® actually is.  Developing Your Intuition  What does developing your intuition look like? Many times when we start we'll seek out readily available information like books, free meditations, articles, free webinars, etc. Oftentimes, as we get more serious about it, we find that we need help along the way and a commitment within ourselves. Intuition is definitely a topic that is difficult to discern one piece at a time. Finding a mentor and a community of like-minded people will absolutely help your development move along more smoothly and quickly.  Language of Clairvoyance  This is the language most widely regarded as intuition itself. It's the one you find in most media. It's the language of seeing Spirit or the Seer Language. Typically seeing Spirit is much different than what we expect. Usually it's not a clear apparition type of visual (although it can be). Most often when clairvoyance is opening, it's the quick flash of light out of the corner of your eye in a dim room, or a quick flash of an image in your mind. It can come in very quick and very subtle which is why it is important to develop your sensitivity to help you discern what's a message. Although everyone may not start out clairvoyant, it can always be developed with consistent practice.  Language of Clairaudience  This is the language of hearing messages with the ears. It's the language of the Owl. Clairaudience may be sounds heard physically or it may come in as your inner reading voice. When the message comes in it's very easy to wonder if that was really a message or if your imagination made it up. Usually a message will come in so quickly and subtly that you didn't have time to process it as a thought. That is one way to verify it was, in fact, a message.  Language of Clairsentience  This is the language of feelings & emotions. It's the language of the Empath. Many times they're labeled as highly or overly sensitive, but clairsentience can be your superpower. Periodically clairsentient messages can also be felt physically. This can manifest as a tingling on the body, a gust of wind in your hair, or a wave of heat or cold that dissipates quickly. It becomes important that empaths learn how their messages come in so that they can more easily discern when energy is meant for them versus if they are picking up on someone else's energy or emotions in the environment.  Language of Claircognizance  This is the language of clear knowing. It's one of those cases where you don't know how you know, you just know. It's the language of the Channeler. Channelers receive their messages directly in their bodies and just react. They are very connected to Spirit but it can be really challenging to determine what they are getting is intuition. So oftentimes channelers will assume they are not intuitive at all. Listen as I give real life examples of what channeled messages can look and feel like.  Bottom line is you can have any one of these languages or a combination. Maybe you have a little of all of them. But if you don't you can always lean into the language you DO have and then work with your Spirit Guide team to help develop the others. Have you ever wondered how to actually talk to your Spirit Guides? We tend to primarily focus on listening and receiving their messages, but rarely do we consider the how of that communication from our end. Just as in every other relationship you have in your life, open two-way communication is key to a healthy and prosperous relationship with your Guides. Although there are numerous ways, here are my top 5 ways to talk to your Spirit Guides.  By Using Spiritual Tools  Pendulums, oracle cards, tarot, rune stones, etc are examples of tools you can use to talk to your Spirit Guides. A;though we can communicate directly with our Guides through our intuition, tools can be a great starting point. They can also be useful for validating messages. Sometimes as human beings we may not be at a point vibrationally where we feel absolutely sure of the messages we receive and any of these tools can give us one more layer of validation that what we sense is actually from Spirit.  Literally Speak Out Loud  Communication is a two way street. There is the sharing of information as well as the receiving of information. When we communicate with family and friends, we typically share our information with them through spoken word and we can work with our Guides the exact same way. By speaking out loud you are actually manifesting your thoughts into existence. Also, this is a great way to organize your own thoughts. We've all had the experience of gaining clarity on something just by vocalizing it to someone else who is willing to listen.  Through Your Inner Reading Voice  Sometimes it is just not feasible to be able to speak out loud to people who, to the rest of human existence, appear to not be there. Maybe you live with other people and don't have privacy. Maybe those around you don't know about the spiritual, intuitive side of you yet. Regardless of the reason it may just be necessary to communicate with your Guides in a silent way. Your Guides are ethical and don't “eavesdrop” on your thoughts and feelings. You have to give them permission and set the intention that what you are thinking is for communication with your Guides. You need to tell them what you want them to know.  Intuitive & Automatic Writing  This is another amazing way to manifest your thoughts into physical reality, by putting pen to paper (so to speak). Listen as I share how I used writing to get the help I wanted to advance my mediumship abilities. Whatever you are writing down, invite your Guides to read it as well as provide access to your thoughts (inner reading voice). It can also be helpful to write down any messages you receive back from them. Even if you don't understand it in the moment, it may turn out to be great validation when you go back to read it later. In the full episode I also give you a high level look at automatic writing; what it is and how it can be used.  Through Dreams  You can also use your dreams as a way to communicate. Before you go to sleep, set the intention and ask your Guides to come to you in your dreams or take you on an astral visit to help you get answers or guidance on a certain topic. This can be any situation in which you feel you need extra guidance. You don't have to remember the dream or astral visit for it to be beneficial. I'd say about 88% of the time we don't remember. Regardless, we still retain the information or guidance we may have received.  No matter the method you use to communicate with your Guides, I hope you continue with the highest intention and consistency. If you do, your Guides will hear and provide you the messages you need. Intuition is more than just an open Third Eye Chakra. In this episode I'll address the most neglected Chakra in intuition and mediumship, the Root Chakra. Grounding is such a critical piece to connecting to your intuition in a balanced way and the key to any effective grounding technique is an open and healthy Root Chakra.   Importance of the Root Chakra to Intuition  Spirit is able to communicate to us in human form since everyone and everything is made from the same “stuff”. Energy. If we think of intuition in terms of energy, we know when electricity flows through a circuit that is ungrounded, not-good things can happen. The wires have to be grounded for the flow of electricity to be safe and useful. Essentially, our Root Chakra is our grounding wire so the flow of information and messages from our Guides can also be safe and useful.    Importance of the Root Chakra to Mediumship  As a medium, once you've delivered the messages you receive from Spirit, you have to come back down and function as a human on the earth plane. You need to drive, cook, and various other tasks that can cause harm if we aren't present and focused when doing them. Grounding helps you stay connected to this existence so you are able to more quickly resume normal physical activity without feeling all spacey or forgetful. Staying grounded during a mediumship reading also helps with the way Spirit is able to deliver the messages to you.   Tips on How to Ground  No spoiler alert here…but one of the most crucial ways to ground is by working on your Root Chakra. Energy healing, reiki, sound therapy, aromatherapy, and crystals can all be extremely helpful in keeping your Root Chakra healthy. But remember, this is only one part. We should treat all 7 primary Chakras as a system. Only focusing on one or two and neglecting the others defeats the purpose.  The Root Chakra identifies with the earth element, so being outside in nature can be a grounding experience. If weather or climate is not conducive to being out of doors, going barefoot in your home can also aid grounding. Connection with animals and connection to your body (like massage, acupuncture, etc) are grounding. Each of the Chakras correlate with a scent, so diffusing essential oils can be supportive for Chakra heath. Listen as I give you some additional techniques and visualizations to use to supercharge your grounding practice.  Circumstances that can Affect Grounding  If you happen to travel a lot for business or end up having to be away from home for reasons not of your own choosing, it can create an environment where you don't “feel at home”. Feelings of having a solid foundation and safety are highly integral to being grounded. If you are unhappy or unfulfilled in your job; if you are in an unhealthy or unsatisfying relationship (whether that be with a family member, with yourself, or with a partner), any of those can obviously leave you feeling as if your life is not in a solid place. If you are like me and don't enjoy exercise, that can leave you disconnected from your body and make grounding difficult. Any situation that is not supportive of our energy will not be nurturing to our Root Chakra.  A Final Thought  If your Root Chakra is still unbalanced I would challenge you to reflect on if there is something that you are not releasing. The Root Chakra is where we physically release waste from our bodies and is important in energy release as well. If you are holding on to old grudges or past patterns it may be difficult to ground. This last week was school vacation week for lots of us in the US. Many of us moms had kids with us full time at home, vacationing, or maybe you got lucky, and they were at a fun day camp. Whatever the case, everyone's schedule is different, and things shift around. Even the best-laid plans can result in challenges and disappointments. Sometimes, I have these crazy days and weeks where nothing is working, and my mind feels like it's spinning. One of my favorite ways to help myself calm down and relax when this happens, which you might not know about. I'll whip out an Oracle card deck because those always seem to give me the guidance and specific message I need at the moment. Cool! If you haven't used them or heard of them, Oracle cards are a free-form way to get spiritual guidance or your daily message. I love working with an Oracle Card Deck by Alana Fairchild called Sacred Rebels.
