Affordability, Energy Prices, and the Short-Term Gains of Midterm Politics. Guest: Thaddeus McCotter. McCotter observes that all foreign policy eventually becomes domestic, especially through the lens of energy costs. He warns that the administration might prioritize short-term gas price relief over long-term strategic interests in the Middle East. Consequently, providing sanctions relief to Iran could allow the regime to continue funding global terrorism and its nuclear program. 16

Americans are grappling with a rising cost in healthcare. For the first time in five years, fewer than half of Americans can consistently afford healthcare. That's according to the latest data from Gallup. The cost of healthcare in the US remains higher than any other large, wealthy country. According to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services, five million fewer people are enrolled in marketplace plans for 2026, compared to last year. That's as average premium costs rose about 58%.With health care costs increasingly becoming a stress for Americans, voters are now making the issue a top priority at the ballot box. And it's an issue that crosses party and geographic lines. According to new polling from The Century Foundation, 71% of Democrats, 66% of Republicans and 75% of rural voters agree that reigning in hospital costs should be a top priority for lawmakers. While new polling from Ipsos and Axios suggests that a majority of Americans say they're more likely to vote for candidates in November who will lower their health costs. How will the issue of healthcare shape the midterms? Wildfires are spreading faster than anyone predicted. Politics is burning hotter than ever. The world feels like it's coming undone in every direction at once. What if all of this isn't chaos you're meant to survive, but fuel for the single most powerful thing you'll do all year: deciding, deliberately, what you project into the world? Michael channels Archangel Michael's message for July, and the theme is alchemy: turning the very fires racing across the headlines into rocket fuel for the reality you actually want. From the show's own recent algorithm setbacks to the wildfires that once chased his family from their Colorado home, Michael walks through real, lived examples of how "or something even better" keeps showing up disguised as loss, and why this month, more than any other, your inner world matters more than the outer one. This isn't about bracing for disaster. This is about discovering that you are the greatest projector on Earth, and it's time to start acting like it. Key Topics: Why July is the month of fires, not just literal wildfires, but fires of politics, passion, hostility, and explosive change, and why this isn't a season for incremental steps but sweeping, bounding transformation. The brain's past bias explained: why the mind clings so desperately to "the way things were," even when something far better is trying to arrive, and why nostalgia is, in Archangel Michael's words, "your brain on crack." Why losing something you wanted, a show format, a job, a plan, isn't punishment, it's redirection, and the "or something even better" prayer that reframes every closed door. The phoenix principle: Michael's own story of being chased from his Colorado home by wildfire, and why that very disruption helped bring his daughter into being. Projection as protection: why building a protective bubble to keep the world out is only half the work, the real power move is building a projective bubble that puts a new reality out into the world. Why "what you project with your mind" and "what you ingest with your heart" matter more right now than at almost any other point in human history. The new generation's built-in BS meter: why younger people are seeing through empty promises faster than ever, and why Archangel Michael says to get out of their way and watch them lead. The biggest fire isn't the one on the news. It's the one you choose to burn in your own heart. You don't need to wait for the world to calm down before you decide what you want. Burn it in now. See it, feel it, know it, and project it with everything you've got, because right now, more than ever before, your energy is the one thing nothing and no one can take from you. Join the Inspire Nation Soul Family!

Anarchism is not what they made you believe.Catherine Bleish Bonandin spent two decades in the freedom movement, got arrested twice, was profiled by the Southern Poverty Law Center, and eventually walked away from frontline activism after a police officer added her name to a monitoring list while she was raising an infant. She now produces Anarchapulco in Mexico and Liberpulco in Serbia, and partners with Liberland. Are socialists taking over the Democratic Party? New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a proud Democratic Socialist, won some stunning victories in Congressional primaries. His chosen candidates beat out more mainstream Democrats. Republicans have their own issues. President Trump met with several GOP senators and things got testy. His decision to target sitting Republicans in recent primaries may be backfiring because, well, those incumbents are still in office for now and have nothing to lose. Both parties face infighting and an identity crisis. What does this say about our politics?Producer: Leo DuranHost: David Greene Guests: Mo Elleithee, executive director at Georgetown University's Institute of Politics and Public Service - @MoElleithee Sarah Isgur, senior editor at The Dispatch - @whignewtons

Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Buck Sexton focuses heavily on Supreme Court decisions, especially a key case involving immigration and executive authority. Buck highlights a 6–3 ruling in Mullen v. Doe, emphasizing that the Court sided with the executive branch and reinforced presidential authority over immigration programs such as Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The discussion frames TPS as a humanitarian policy originally intended for individuals fleeing war or natural disasters, but now often extended far beyond its “temporary” purpose, sometimes lasting decades. Buck examines the aftermath of the New York City primary, questioning whether the relatively small turnout contests still signal a growing trend of far-left political momentum in urban Democratic districts. He frames the election results as part of a larger ideological shift within the Democratic Party, suggesting that even smaller races may offer insight into future national elections and Republican strategy heading into the midterms. A central theme throughout the hour is Buck’s contrast between conservative political philosophy—rooted in constitutionalism, optimism, and Trump-era governance—and progressive ideology, which he characterizes as driven by resentment, grievance, and opposition to success. He argues that conservative politics aim to improve America through stability, growth, and public safety, while criticizing progressive policies as being more focused on punishing perceived inequality than delivering effective outcomes. guest Ryan Girdusky, focusing on the rise of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), New York City politics, voter turnout trends, and the broader ideological direction of the Democratic Party under President Donald Trump’s current administration. The hour centers on the aftermath of recent New York primary elections, spotlighting controversial progressive candidates such as Zohran Mamdani and Darializa Chevalier, while examining how socialist-aligned movements are reshaping Democratic coalitions at the local and national levels. A major theme of Hour 3 is the growing influence of the DSA in New York City politics, described as the “crown jewel” of the organization’s national network. Buck and Girdusky analyze how DSA candidates and aligned figures are leveraging the Democratic Party as a “ballot access vehicle,” pushing a more openly socialist agenda from within while viewing the traditional Democratic establishment as an obstacle. This strategy is portrayed as increasingly effective, particularly in affluent, college-educated, and heavily progressive neighborhoods referred to as the “comedy corridor”—a stretch of waterfront districts from Astoria in Queens down through Brooklyn, which has become a hub of far-left political activism and extremely high voter turnout. Buck speaks with guest Dan Mason, former CBS Radio CEO, who reflects on the evolution of radio, the enduring power of one-to-one audience connection, and the changing media landscape in the digital age. Mason emphasizes radio’s unique ability to build personal relationships with listeners, contrasting it with less intimate platforms like television, and highlights ongoing debates over public broadcasting, including NPR funding and perceived political bias. The hour concludes with a broader optimistic outlook on America under President Donald Trump, with Buck pushing back against pessimism from a caller and encouraging listeners to embrace patriotism, stability, and historical perspective heading into major national celebrations like Independence Day. He underscores that, despite political tensions and global concerns, the United States is not facing crises on the scale of war, economic collapse, or pandemic lockdowns, and remains in a strong position.
