On Friday's Mark Levin Show, communists like Zohran Mamdani are very charismatic and slick, as they lack anything else given their ideology's complete failure and genocidal nature. We must cut through superficialities when dealing with such figures. We will not embrace or help Mamdani – he's the enemy. Also, no, President Trump didn't call for the death of these six Democrat miscreants. These Senators and Congressman called for the military to undermine the Commander in Chief through an insurrection. They know Trump hasn't put out any illegal or unconstitutional orders. Later, Qatar is pumping tens of billions of dollars into American universities to help the Muslim Brotherhood weaken America and destroy democracy. It's stunning to the extent we are blind to what Qatar is doing. We ignore this at our own peril. Afterward, Israel, Netanyahu, and America haven't changed, but Steve Bannon has transformed into a bigoted figure, alongside Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, who criticize Israel, Jews, and evangelical Christians while attempting to undermine MAGA through isolationist ideologies. Megyn Kelly needs to distance herself from the poisonous influence of these people. Finally, CAIR is suing Texas over Gov Greg Abbott's ‘terrorist' designation. Abbott should use this lawsuit to get to the bottom of CAIR's funding. He should counter claim or conduct discovery on all their contacts, emails, texts, etc. Learn more about your ad choices. The Washington Roundtable reflects on the first year since Donald Trump's second win before a live audience at Harvard University's Institute of Politics, on November 20th. The panel considers how cracks in the MAGA firmament may shape what's next for the President and the Republican party. “American politics the last ten years have been dominated by this very singular disruptive figure of Donald Trump,” the staff writer Susan B. Glasser. “So what we define as the new abnormal, for a whole generation of Americans is, in fact, the new normal.” This week's reading: “Dick Cheney's Long, Strange Goodbye,” by Susan B. Glasser “The Darkest Thread in the Epstein E-mails,” by Jessica Winter “The Meaning of Trump's Presidential Pardons,” by Benjamin Wallace-Wells “Kash Patel's Acts of Service,” by Marc Fisher “How M.B.S. There's a lot of tired discourse about whether or not a Democratic Socialist like Zohran Mamdani could win in places that aren't as blue as New York City. But what's not getting enough attention is that Mamdani and his campaign somehow cracked the code for producing online content with offline results: getting people off the couch to connect with strangers face to face over a shared political goal. How'd they do it? Maya Handa, Zohran's campaign manager, and Andrew Epstein, his communications director, sit down with Jon to talk about the decisions and content that built Mamdani's campaign from scratch, what they learned along the way, and the lessons other candidates and campaigns can take from what they achieved. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here. Progressive and centrist Democratic candidates had big wins in the 2025 elections. On this week's On the Media, a data scientist fact-checks the claim that Democrats need moderate voters to win. Plus, an Arizona state senator shares how she's reaching her constituents on TikTok and on the ground.[01:00] Host Brooke Gladstone sits down with G. Elliot Morris, a journalist, statistician, and author of the data-driven news website Strength in Numbers, to hash out what the data says about whether becoming more moderate is really the key to Democratic candidates winning more elections.[20:09] Brooke chats with Matt Bennett, co-founder of Third Way, a center-left think tank, about his view that Zohran Mamdani's win in New York City poses a “serious political problem” for the Democrats.[36:06] Finally, Brooke calls up Analise Ortiz, state senator for Arizona's 24th district, to discuss how TikTok, old-fashioned door-knocking, and making tangible differences in peoples' lives is the way for the Democrats to start winning again. Both major parties are experiencing a crisis of leadership in Washington. President Trump's flip-flopping on the Epstein files acknowledges that, on this issue, at least, he has lost control of MAGA. For the Democrats, the collapse of their consensus on the government shutdown deepens a sense that the current leadership is ineffective. For all the talk of unity, the Party is profoundly divided on what message to convey to voters. “Some people argue that we should just—no matter what Donald Trump does or says—just always come back to the economy and prices,” Senator Chris Van Hollen, of Maryland, tells David Remnick. “And, of course, we should be very focussed on the economy and prices and rising health-care costs, as we have been. But to suggest that we should look the other way in the face of all these other outrages is, I think, a mistake, because I think the American people are tiring of Donald Trump. I think the polls indicate that.” Van Hollen is trying to pave a path between his party's left and the establishment. He's used the word “spineless” to describe colleagues in Congress who refused to endorse Zohran Mamdani in his mayoral campaign, but he has not called for Chuck Schumer to step down from leadership, as others have. Van Hollen wants “to be very much part of the debate as to where the Democratic Party goes.” Would that extend, Remnick wonders, to running for President? “My goal at this moment really is to stiffen the spine of the Democratic Party. But that means not just resistance to Trump. It also means taking on very powerful special interests that I think have had too much sway in both the Republican Party for sure, but also in the Democratic Party.” Remnick replies, “I've heard firmer nos in my time.” New episodes of The New Yorker Radio Hour drop every Tuesday and Friday. Join host David Remnick as he discusses the latest in politics, news, and current events in conversation with political leaders, newsmakers, innovators, New Yorker staff writers, authors, actors, and musicians.

We walk through her response, the contradictions, and what she now expects her audience to believe. From there, we dive into the Megyn Kelly vs. Dave Rubin fight, who was at Dick Cheney's funeral, Trump's Oval Office meeting with Zohran, and Democrats playing dumb after openly telling the military to disobey Trump's orders. This is a fully remastered episode, which originally came out in April 2022 In this episode of Guerrilla History, we bring on the fantastic Africana studies scholar, Professor Takiyah Harper-Shipman, to talk about West African women's development, Sankara, AFRICOM, and more! Due to time constraints, this episode will act as an introduction to these topics for our next conversation with Professor Harper-Shipman, which will take place soon and will be a longer, more in-depth discussion. We really enjoyed the conversation, and are already looking forward to diving into the minutiae with the Professor very soon! Takiyah Harper-Shipman is an Assistant Professor in the Africana Studies Department at Davidson College. Her courses include Africana political economy, gender and development in sub-Saharan Africa, African feminisms, international development: theory and praxis, and research methods in Africana Studies. Her book Rethinking Ownership of Development in Africa is available from Routledge: https://www.routledge.com/Rethinking-Ownership-of-Development-in-Africa/Harper-Shipman/p/book/9780367787813. The fascinating intersections of circadian biology, quantum health, and women's wellness really come alive as I sit down with Neurosurgeon-turned-Quantum-Biologist Dr. Jack Kruse. You'll hear how simple things, like the light you see first thing in the morning, quietly shape your hormones, energy, and even how you age. Dr. Jack's decades of surgical and biophysical knowledge make these concepts surprisingly practical for everyday health. By the end, you may find yourself rethinking your daily routines in the best way. Together, we get into why AM sunlight can make such a big difference for women going through hormonal changes, especially around menopause. Dr. Jack breaks down big ideas like heteroplasmy in simple, eye-opening terms and shows how it plays into skin health, longevity, and mitochondrial function. You'll also hear why red light deserves a place in your wellness routine, and how blue light and non-native EMFs might be draining more than just your battery. If you've ever struggled with weight changes, low energy, or hormonal shifts, you'll appreciate Dr. Jack's explanation of the leptin-melanocortin pathway and what it means for women at every age. His own 150-pound weight-loss story adds real heart to the science and shows how much can change when your environment starts working for you instead of against you. This episode delivers a mix of empowering insights and simple shifts you can start today for better vitality. And before you go, make sure to download my Free Holiday Recipe Guide, a delicious, hormone-friendly way to enjoy festive, Keto-Green dishes all season long at dranna.com. Tisch, the department's 48th commissioner, has led the NYPD with what Mamdani's team calls a renewed focus on accountability and transparency, overseeing a historic drop in violent crime. The decision signals Mamdani's willingness to make top appointments based on experience rather than ideology. NY1 investigative reporter Courtney Gross and political reporters Bobby Cuza and Ayana Harry break down Mamdani's biggest decision so far. After that, the midterms are already taking shape in our own backyard. This week, Chi Ossé, a progressive councilman, filed paperwork to challenge House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Mamdani has come out against the move, saying it's "not the time" for that kind of primary. The "Off Topic" team takes an early look at next year's races.

Repairing the damage—in our democracy, in our relationships, and in ourselves. ✨ Episode Summary Let's talk about redemption—what it really means to repair what's been broken, whether in our democracy or in our personal lives, and how we can tell the difference between a true apology and just going through the motions. Inspired by a powerful Substack piece by Mike Madrid, we'll reflect on the nuances between performative apologies and genuine repentance, weaving in theological insights, literary references like East of Eden, and real-life examples. We'll consider how we engage with those who have caused harm—and what it means to truly repair what's broken, especially as Thanksgiving and moments of family reconnection approach.
