Well, we're here finally reviewing Showgirls. Some would say it's one of the worst films of the 90s. Up until now I had only seen bits and pieces. I'm here to report that almost 30 years later I can say that I've seen Showgirls. Here we go...Me and Mikey break down the many reasons why this swept the Razzies that year and ponder what this film could have been with different casting. Throughout the episode we talk the many plot holes, the FASHION, and get into the long list of actresses who auditioned for the role of Nomi Malone.Off-topic rants include: Leonardo DiCaprio, stripper soundtracks, and Mikey's own experience at an amateur night--- Get BONUS episodes on 90s TV (Freaks & Geeks, My So Called Life, Felicity, Dawson's Creek, and more...) and to support the show, join the PATREON! www.patreon.com/fashiongrungeGIVE US A 5 STAR RATING & SUBSCRIBE!Hosts: Lauren @lauren_melanie & Mikey @agentmikey007 Music by Den-Mate @imdenmateFollow Fashion Grunge Podcast on Instagram @fashiongrungepod and fashiongrunge.com
Self confessed pop culture expert Charlie Sayce, creator of RuPaul's Drag Race UK Fans, and host of God Save the Queens, a drag race review show on Glitterbeam Radio, is this week's guest. And he's taking us on a trip back in time to his uni days in Worthing, a small seaside town in the south of England. It was here that he found the only gay bar in town, the Jack Horner. Despite it looking like a generic old man pub they played Britney Spears, had dodgy karaoke nights, and gave him an opportunity to explore his identity. Staffy educates himself on the sport of spearfishing, how to get into it, what the biggest fish she's caught and how to spearfish at night.
It's time that we support our community. Sayce Holmes-Lewis of Mentivity is doing his part by helping kids in his community find their way in the world through sport. Listen as we chat about kicking our community into action and why it's so important. Sayce only ever saw himself in sport. He wanted to make a career in football (soccer) and managed for many years to do just that. He began coaching kids and it was then that he realized he was put on this Earth to help kids find themselves. We found him through a Tik Tok video where he was being harassed by the police but instead of becoming defensive, he used the moment to teach. The time that he took to create a teaching moment rather than leaning into hate is what we need in this world. We are in a time where more eyes than ever are focused on creating a world of change. Now is the time to change the viewpoint and Sayce is doing an amazing job. His story is fantastic. Listen in as he shares his full background and why he's passionate about changing the trajectory of the kids in his community. Find ways to inspire the youth in your community and change will happen. In this episode:[00:45] Sayce introduces himself and shares what he is doing in the world.[02:50] He shares his passion to start his own business and work with young people.[06:04] Listen as he discusses what he saw that made him want to get involved.[08:06] We talk about a TikTok video Sayce posted.[10:05] “We have to take the approach that everyone has to contribute to the community.”[11:18] Sayce shares the reaction he gets when he suggests and educates people around oppression.[14:46] He speaks about George Floyd and how people were forced to address the issue because we were on lockdown.[17:59] He believes it's more about oppression than racism.[19:06] He shares how he finds ways to inspire the youth and others he talks to.[21:32] Sayce discusses looking at where he is in his life and his wow moments.[23:03] He talks about where the name Mentivity came from.[24:45] He shares about the programs Mentivity offers for the youth.[29:01] Having his son changed him and the need for him to not go through what he has.[31:37] If you don't share your experiences, you are doing your children a disservice.[34:30] Sayce shares some advice for young people.[37:36] “The best process in the world is watching a young person go from dependent to independent.”[38:53] He shares a story about a legacy of change with one of the kids he mentored.[42:36] “Time is love for young people.”[43:03] Thank you for being on the show!Links and Resources:Connect with Sayce:MentivitySayce Holmes-LewisEmailSayce on InstagramSayce on Twitter Stay connected with the PGD FamKeep in touch with us by Subscribing and Following us on our socials ...Website PGD InnovationsBuy our book OUT NOW PGD BooksPGD on Facebook (We go live every Friday at 6pm for Fruit Punch Fridays)PGD on InstagramPGD on Support the show (https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=K8JFC4ZXAZU98)
What are the challenges and opportunities facing educational leaders in 2021?

WWE look out! While the Podcast was attending the Cenobite Panel at Texas Frightmare Weekend 2018, actor Doug Bradley let the crowd know that he would be joining a wrestling promotion sometime in the near future. He didn't elaborate on it any further at the time, but we were all very curious to know where this was going. The wait is over as horror website Bloody Disgusting recently let it out of the bag that the Hellraiserstar has joined the wrestling promotion known as Blackcraft Wrestling. He's playing a role known as “The Preacher” who is the general manager of the promotion. According to a fan who attended the show Burning Bridges, Bradley was quoted as saying a familiar Hellraiser-esque line, but with a twist that only Doug could come up with: “We have such fights to show you!” I love it! I've attached some pictures that were taken at the event showing Bradley cutting promos in the ring: Also, don't forget to visit Blackcraft Wrestling's official site where you can watch a promo video they've made for the character. https://blackcraftwrestling.com/ Thanks to Bloody Disgusting and Blackcraft Wrestling Blog Post at: http://www.clivebarkercast.com/2018/08/29/doug-bradley-joins-wrestling-promotion/ Over the summer it was reported that a Nightbreed TV series would be coming to the small screen via the SyFy channel, but nothing else has been said on the subject since. Yesterday, Bloody Disgustingreported a tweet from the writer of the series Josh Stolberg that confirms the return of Decker. "Good Ol' Buttonface. I'll be playing with him this Fall." I'm not all that surprised that Decker is returning considering how the movie ended. I'd love to see director David Cronenberg return to play the character with Ashberry as his devoted disciple. We'll keep you posted as more news is made available. Thanks to Josh Stolberg and Bloody Disgusting. Original Blog Post: http://www.clivebarkercast.com/2018/08/30/dr-decker-will-return-for-nightbreed-tv-series-according-to-writer/ It's always a treat to see Doug Bradley in anything he does, from his Spinechillers, to the Wrong Turnmovies, the Book of Blood, short films, Star Wars games (Shadow of Revan) and now LORE. Earlier today he posted this on his official Facebook page: "I recently got to spend some time in Prague, filming an episode about Burke and Hare for the new season of Lore, coming October 19th." You can see Doug in the second season trailer in a scene from the Burke and Hare episode— where it looks to me by his appearance that he'll be playing Dr. Robert Knox— once again playing a wise and aged surgeon, a dignified profession shared with another character he played in a famous Horror franchise before, if I'm not mistaken. Lore started out as a podcast developed by Aaron Mahnke and now it's a show on Amazon Video. The second season will premiere on October 19, 2018 Original Blog Post http://www.clivebarkercast.com/2018/08/30/doug-bradley-will-star-in-episode-of-lore/ It's been over a year since Hellraiser box creator Simon Sayce's passing, but we've learned today that his work continues to live on in a new movie called Extremity. Sayce's contributions to the film are the masks that are worn by the film's villains. The film is also directed by Anthony Diblasi who adapted Clive Barker's Dread for the big screen. He had these positive words to say about Simon's work,“There are several ‘hero' masks in the film, which the villains wear,” says DiBlasi. “These things look amazing on camera.” Check this one out from the trailer: From the EW report: Extremity stars Dana Christina (Wynonna Earp) as a young woman named Allison who signs up for a trip to an extreme haunt called Perdition in the hope of exorcising her demons. Checkout the trailer below: https://ew.com/movies/2018/08/31/extremity-trailer/ Thanks to Ben Warren and EW. Original Blog Post http://www.clivebarkercast.com/2018/08/31/simon-sayce-news-2/

Chris is an equities trader from Southampton, UK. His journey to becoming a trader kicked off roughly 7 years ago, after his interest in markets was peaked from reading through a book about stocks. While these days Chris has found his edge, he did spin his wheels for several years to begin with, and also managed to run several accounts into the ground. During this time, one of the greater turning points came when Chris found another trader who was willing to pass down his experience, and offer him some much needed guidance. And as we all understand, to have a mentor on your side is extremely valuable, so I asked Chris a number of questions around this subject which you may find helpful. We also discuss the importance of repetition in your learning, how to build discipline and also touch on some mindset challenges that can be early roadblocks for developing traders. I feel like many of you listening will find Chris’s story to be relatable, and hopefully you’ll takeaway a few important lessons from this interview.
