Dr. English spearheaded a perinatal behavioral health integration project at Willow Birth Center from 2016 to 2020 that received international acclaim through the publication of outcomes in the International Journal of Integrated Care. Dr. English served as Vice-President of the Postpartum Support International – Arizona Chapter Founding Board of Directors and co-chaired the Education and Legislative Advocacy Committees. She currently serves on the Maternal Mortality Review Program and the Maternal Health Taskforce for the State of Arizona. She served as one of three Arizonan 2020 Mom Nonprofit Policy Fellows in 2021. For her work to establish Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies, Cara was awarded the Psyche Award from the Nicholas & Dorothy Cummings Foundation in 2018 and is more recently the recipient of the 2022 Sierra Tucson Compassion Recognition for her work to improve perinatal mental health integration in Arizona.Dr. Jackson Williams, DBH, LPCC is an independently licensed mental health clinician (LPCC) in the state of New Mexico and holds a Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) degree from the Cummings Graduate Institute of Behavioral Health Studies. Dr. Williams served in the United States Air Force as a Firefighter/EMT and as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. He began his counseling career in private practice in an Albuquerque inner-city community clinic, then for several years was a Behavioral Health Therapist with the NM Children Youth and Families Department in the Juvenile Justice Services secure facilities. Dr. Williams spent two years as an Opioid Syndromic Surveillance Epidemiologist with the NM Department of Health coordinating New Mexico opioid overdose data reporting and analysis with the CDC. He currently co-teaches a Suicide Prevention course for rural New Mexico fire departments as part of grant provided by a major healthcare provider.  He has specialized training in trauma-informed care and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as being a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional.

After 10 years, he was recruited into the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, where he worked in criminal investigations, counterintelligence, protective services, and economic crimes. My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Pamela Kyel, author of the book On a Break in Charm City. Award-winning author Pamela Kyel was born and raised in Edgewood, Maryland—north of Charm City. It's kind of a running joke that when you live near a large, well-known city, you tell people that's where you're from. So, unofficially, she's from Baltimore!   She followed the drum of the Air Force for 25 years. She joined her husband on six assignments—OCONUS (Outside Continental United States), aka overseas, and CONUS (Continental United States). Along the way, they added two children and numerous pets, not counting the half-a-dozen cats that came with their house in Italy. She has traveled extensively across the states and Europe, with her favorite overseas locations being Paris and Slovenia, among stateside favorites such as Rocky Mountain National Park and Door County, Wisconsin.   Family is important to her, and nowhere is that more evident than in her Charm City Mystery Series. When you've lived across the world from mothers and brothers, you adapt and overcome. You create family—and they stay with you long after the career ends. Her military family resides in Virginia, Texas, and North and South Carolina—with many still on active duty worldwide.   Writing came out of their duty station in Illinois. She picked up her computer while sitting with her elementary-age child through covid classes and thought, I can write a book. And the rest is history. While her original novel will never see the light of day, she grew and expanded her confidence in what she was doing. She was good at this, and she would have something to show for it one day. In a little over three years, she'd trod the agent querying circuit and amended her goal. Now, she just needed to hold her book in her hand. It was necessary. With that in mind, she sent out three queries to small publishers, and for her, the third time was the charm. The Wild Rose Press picked up her book and offered a contract. Less than a year later, she now held all those years of hard work in her hand.    In my book review, I stated On a Break in Charm City is a cozy mystery by ​Pamela Kyel.​ This is the third in her Charm City Mystery series, and once again, Pamela does not disappoint! I love this cast of characters including Laci Duval, an investigator with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. However, she is forced to take a vacation. But if you know Laci, you know she doesn't do relaxation. Instead, she finds looking for a missing person who just happens to be NSA.   Laci is funny, clutzy, a bit socially awkward, and thinks of everyone as a type of iced tea. When Alberto escalated Nicole's case to Meta's Legal and Special Investigations teams, a core part of his strategy was bypassing Meta's AI algorithms that treat all external reporters as unauthorized third parties.Alberto claimed to be Nicole's "Trusted Agent", explicitly telling Meta: "Meta's internal 'Social Graph' algorithms will verify a 7-year history of direct interaction (DMs, comments, mutual follows) between the victim (Nicole Eggert) and the reporter (Alberto Daniel Hill)".This 2019 screenshot acts as forensic backing for that exact claim. It proves that Alberto and Nicole had been interacting publicly online for years well before the 2026 hack. By demonstrating this long-term digital footprint, Alberto successfully established the "Chain of Custody" and legitimacy he needed to force Meta to listen to him.

Ken is one of the pioneers as it relates to working k9's in the state of North Carolina. It is likely that he introduced the Malinois to police work in NC. The description below does not come close to describing his accomplishments or contributions to the police K9 community. If you don't know his name there's a good reason. From my perspective Ken doesn't have a huge social media footprint. The reason is that he is still very actively working procuring and training dogs and not focused on self promotion. It was an honor to pick his brain and stroll down memory lane. Orchard Knoll K9 was started in 1983 by Ken Mathias. Ken was with the Raleigh Police Department and started Raleigh's Police K-9 Program. Ken's original donated dog failed on the street prompting Ken to sell his truck and purchase Juno a Belgian Malinois imported by Gerry Lapham from Germany. Juno became the first Malinois in the United States to achieve the United States Police Canine Associations PD1, PD2 and Detector Dog certification. Ken continued to import dogs from Europe for Police Departments across the United States providing over 5000 top quality dogs for police service. Ken continued with the Raleigh Police Department rising through the ranks across multiple divisions until retirement at the rank of Division Commander (Major). State Department law enforcement officer Mark Pemberton joins The Feds this week, detailing the retaliation he has experienced over the past five years. In 2020, Mark refused to sign a statement agreeing to follow CDC guidance outside of work hours. In addition, citing the information given in the package insert, Mark also refused to take the provided COVID-19 tests. For that, in conjunction with the accusation that Mark was a white extremist due to his statement that he wanted to get married and have a family, Mark was labeled an “insider threat.” Five years later, his superiors are currently considering a 6-day suspension for Mark due to his declination of the COVID-19 testing. The government-wide weaponization of disciplinary and administrative processes must be addressed in this current Trump administration. Specifically in Mark's case, the State Department's Office of Special Investigations has a terrible reputation for using abusive administrative and disciplinary techniques for issues that should have resulted in an investigation, not in disciplinary action. In December of 1979, Paul Bennewitz, a man who wrote he had been studying the UFO phenomenon since 1948, was told by his wife that she heard a high-pitched buzzing sound right over their house after being woken up by their small dog who was barking before dawn one morning. Bennewitz had been recently seeing strange lights over Archuleta Mesa in Dulce, New Mexico, and thought to himself (not wanting to alarm his wife) that maybe what he had been observing was now observing him. His house, in the Four Hills neighborhood east of Albuquerque, had a second-floor observation deck with a view of the Manzano Weapons Storage Area at Kirtland AFB to the south. He began watching the skies nightly and managed to capture images over the MWSA of what he was convinced were brightly lit objects with unusual characteristics. This set off a train of events that involved the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, a self-proclaimed CIA-trained disinformation agent, and a well-known author and UFO researcher.
