God plainly says to us all, "Come to Me and learn from Me." As full-time followers of God we endeavour to meet with Him each day - simply to be with Him. Through the years we have all created routines for our Quiet Times with God that seem to work for us. In February 2025 many people in NCF's congregation filled in questionnaires as to what they actually do with their daily private time with God.This Talk contains several references to the results of this research, as well as encouragement and ideas to tweak what you might be doing already. What an honour to be invited by God to spend time with Him! Let Him engage your mind, your imagination and your heart as you intentionally devote time to being with Him. May others be changed as you further abandon your life to God, just as God used the fives loaves and two fish in a supernatural way.You can read the script for the whole Service here.

Professor Alexander Meyer visits Google to share the ways ancient Greeks and Romans kept time and their reasons for doing so. He discusses various time-keeping artifacts and works of literature to show that the manner in which time was kept and tracked reflected and continues to reflect much broader cultural issues, including imperialism, commercialism, religion, and law. This Talk analyzes ancient Greek and Roman calendrical systems, highlighting their diverse cultural expression and the challenges they faced in reconciling different calendars, with a focus on the calendar reforms made by Julius Caesar and Emperor Augustus. For example, in 46 BCE Julius Caesar implemented calendar reforms to correct the discrepancies caused by the lunar calendar's inaccuracy, and Augustus further refined the calendar system to ensure that leap years occurred every four years, as intended. We first hear a short statement about our good friend Margaret who had died on the Wednesday before this Service. This Talk is based on John 10:1-18. Jesus talked in ways that made people sit up and listen. He had authority, but His delivery was also different from the other teachers around Him.Sheep are clever and recognise many voices. A sheepfold is good for protection at night, but they need to go out during the day to get fed. Let us too, follow the voice of our Shepherd - Jesus. We will find pasture through Him. Be aware of the thief too.You can read the script for the whole Service here.
This Talk centers around a beautiful miracle, the third in this series. It's set at the "Pool of Mercy," a misleading name because, the truth is, it was a mess. It's where the sick and outcast of society were left, hoping for healing. In just such dark and impossible spaces, Jesus invades with strength, power, and hope. (Talk by Joshua Ott)

The criminal cabal is domestic, and their crimes against WE THE PEOPLE of These United States A Constitutional Republic For The People By The People have to be punished!!! This Talk is an in depth look into what happened leading up to Nov 3 2020, Jan 6 2021, and Nov 8 2022. The criminals are pointed out, and how they conducted their coup d'etat is known. Now, WE have to bring all of them to justice for their crimes against US and crimes against humanity they have conducted for decades. Three trends to watch out for in your local community/state. All these are being/have been tried in Portland Oregon, we call "psychological central" as they test psychological operations there before putting them in other areas.1) Ranked Choice Voting - this eliminates the Primary Election process and makes it easier for the criminals to "select" who they want to put in office2) City Councils expanding to more members that represent "geographic districts" in the city as this is classic "divide and conquer" as it literally divides the city into areas the criminals control without much WE THE PEOPLE can do3) Mayor is trying to create a "cover rep" or "scapegoat" position that is to be a "City Administrator" to "manage" daily operations of the City w/ Mayor having supervision. This is just adding another layer to the corruption so WE THE PEOPLE will be lied to while the criminals continue their crimes w/o accountability4) Attempts to make it legal for "noncitizens" to vote. This is criminal and against the US Constitution. The criminals are trying to pass this so your vote does not "count" as it can be offset by a noncitizen they control. The noncitizens are actually illegal immigrants that need to be deported from our country and jobs offered to Americans!!!________________________NEO420 = Real News + Real Information for WE THE PEOPLEWE THE PEOPLE are at war with the deepstate criminal cabal!!!Turn off your tv, radio, and stop listening to paid professional liars spreading propaganda.***SUPPORT Independent Free Speech Reporting***Thank you for the SUPPORT & SHARING the TRUTH!!!Go to GOD for discernment and wisdom.Know the Truth as the Truth will make you free! Here's an interview with a #Michigan doctor on the topic of stem cell harvesting and banking. Watch the video version on Michael's YouTube channel at xxxxx. This "Talk to Me" #podcast with Michael Angelo Caruso features Dr. Tom Nabity, who runs the Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine. He is a non-surgical, orthopedic physician who specializes in pain management, including stem cell therapy. One of its services is harvesting stem cells from patients so that those patients can heal more quickly from future age-related maladies such as: - Bone fractures (broken hips, compression fractures) - Heart attack recovery - Stroke recovery - Alzheimer's and dementia - Slowing of the aging process Important: This podcast does not offer official #health or medical advice. Consult your doctor before undertaking any medical procedure. There are four types of stem cells: 1) Embryonic 2) Umbilical cord from a donor 3) Autologous from fat 4) Autologous from bone marrow* *Michael had stem cells pulled from his bone marrow (upper pelvis). The procedure: The doc uses ultrasound to identify a good, safe entry place, then sterilizes the location. A numbing agent is introduced. A diamond tip needle is inserted (about a half-inch in Michael's case). The doctor can use a hand drill or a power drill for the insertion of the needle. He uses a syringe to harvest the bone marrow, which is actually 60 ccs of blood. The large vials are then sent to the stem cell bank to be cryogenically stored at super cold temperatures stored. Dr. Nabity uses Forever Labs in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The going rate on stem cell banking costs about $250 per year. Michael thinks of it as an investment in his health. There are still lots of unanswered questions, regarding this process, such as: - What happens when lots of people start living longer? - What about people who can't afford to bank their own stem cells? - Will reintroducing stem cells work the way we want it to? For more info, reach Dr. Nabity at https://regenerativemedicinemichigan.... If you like to stay motivated, subscribe to Michael's fun “Friday5” newsletter at https://www.michaelangelocaruso.com/f... Good things such as a great job, ideal partners and prime opportunities, come to those who believe in themselves. Self-esteem and a good strong self-concept are central to being highly motivated. It's hard for others to believe in you if you don't believe in yourself. This is true in leadership, sales and even when raising a family. Tony Robbins' mentor, Jim Rohn, famously said you are the sum of the five people you hang around with most. If your five best friends are destitute, you are more likely to become poor. If your favorite five people are upwardly mobile, you are likely to do well financially. If your FFF (Five Friends Forever) are overweight and unhealthy, you're likely to take on some of their bad habits. When your best buddies are fit and exercise prone, you are probably like them. Highly motivated people: - Are in a good mood every day - See the glass as half-full - Are optimistic even in the face of adversity - Are resourceful when meeting challenges - Exercise, eat right, take care of themselves - Banish negative thinking - Systemize productive thoughts, emotions, behavior - Consume “how-to” books, videos and podcasts - Avoid angry people and negative emotions - Have “leftover” energy to help others and give back More in the Motivation Playlist on the Michael Angelo Caruso YT channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQGlG... This Talk takes place as we will have just entered the 30th Week in Ordinary Time. Another way of perceiving what these “time” markers are is to recognize what the Catholic Liturgical Calendar describes a “journey” that we all take each year, along which journey we meet holy people (on the feast days of Saints), we meet Jesus, and those around Him in His public life, in the midst of the most profound moments that are the divine and human foundation of our beautiful Faith. Yet, the Liturgical Year is not really for travelers on a “journey” as it is for pilgrims who set out in faith towards a holy destination, not really knowing what will become of them each year when meeting again the Saints and our Lord Jesus in the midst of His own pilgrimage, which we call His public life. Just as the thousands of years-old pilgrimage routes in Europe always pass through the same landscape and towns (the unchanging route is an essential point), so the Liturgical Year always follows the same “route.” What is not the same each year is us! Because last year changed us, and some of us profoundly (some of us entering into eternal life!), so we should experience this year's pilgrimage differently, with deeper insight.

Have you ever found yourself confused by music rights, or grappling with decisions about soundtrack or score for your film, TV or online project? Wondering what the difference is between publishing rights and master rights? Music can enhance visual expression when used well, setting a mood or atmosphere. But licensing agreements need to be negotiated and it can become complicated and expensive if you don't plan well. This TALK will help you get your dream soundtrack by demystifying the jargon and giving some helpful tips to guide you about music choices, music rights, and how to effectively communicate with your composer. Music supervisor Karyn Rachtman (Pulp Fiction, Boogie Nights, Moulin Rogue) and screen composer and music editor Samuel Flynn Scott (Phoenix Foundation, Boy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, The Gulf) will chat to our Executive Director, Jackie Dennis about what they think filmmakers should consider when thinking about soundtrack and score.
Aliy Potts and I recently connected over Instagram and she invited me to a Digital Storm to protest against The Adani group's greedy mission to open up more coal mines in Australia which would obviously have detrimental consequences. In this Zoom Session I learned so much from the fantastic Laura Sterling who moderated most of that session. I also got to hear a lot of thoughts and powerful words from Ella Noah Bancroft who is a Bundjalung Activist, Therapist, Mentor, Writer and overall an inspiring, caring and loving woman. I have learned a lot from her in the past years and used a lot from what she said during that presentation in this episode to elaborate on the faults of our current systems and society and how we must look to nature and country to reconnect to and heal this world in order to survive and live a loving, connected and healthy life on this beautiful planet. I thank everyone who made this Digital Storm possible and all of the frontline activists who are currently protecting land and people. This Talk was an emotional one for me and I hope that you can take away a new viewpoint and some inspiration from what I have learned from people that I consider mentors and teachers

A Democrat and Republican Talk #2: The Polarization Industry and Our Lens to the World Produced by KSQD 90.7FM Tune in to “Be Bold America!” Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 5:00pm “You can observe a lot by watching” – Yogi Berra What you believe becomes reality. But, is that reality, real? Our minds pick up what's familiar and comfortable but maybe not what's true. In fact, we observe the world by not “watching,” but through filters. These filters are what make sense to us, but the filter from which we “observe” might have been created with polarization strategies. Strategies developed by those who want you to see the world their way, not as it might actually be. The polarization industry is a money-making enterprise and doesn't care if the message received is real or not. This Talk #2 between a Democrat and a Republican will be moderated by Andrew Hanauer, President and CEO of the One America Movement. Andrew will relate how we observe the world through our own lens and the strategies used to polarize America. In addition, Republican Kristen Collishaw and Democrat Jill Cody will discuss issues such as their conventions, mail-in ballots, and why they each chose to join their political party. Interview Guests: Kristen Collishaw is the Chair of the Santa Cruz County Republican Party and has lived in Santa Cruz County for 18 years where she and her husband raised three children. She was brought up in a household where politics and local issues were often discussed, and differing opinions encouraged and respected. Knowing that understanding both sides of an issue were important for a successful country, kept the conversations lively and interesting. A strong belief in America and all the opportunities that are part of this country have led her to be a lifelong conservative. Andrew Hanauer is the President and CEO of the One America Movement, an organization founded by faith and community leaders to address divisiveness in American society. Under Andrew's leadership, One America has launched projects that bring Americans together across religious, racial, and political divides to address race relations, opioids, poverty and homelessness and many other issues through One America chapters across the country.

This is the first talk in the Milestones series. In this episode Fr Laurence Freeman speaks about the spiritual and psychological aspects of our life journey and how the practice of meditation leads to the recovery of the essential childlike state. John Main saw meditation as the recovery of our innocence. We recover the essential qualities we had as children, our innocence, through our mature relationship to our Source, our ontological parenthood in God as the ultimate ground of our being. Wisdom shows the stages of life we all pass through in uniquely personal ways. Meditation as a way of wisdom illuminates these stages of the journey of life and has its own milestones. In this series of talks Fr Laurence will show how the journey of meditation deepens the journey of life and gives us the courage and vision to live life as fully conscious travellers. Laurence Freeman is a Benedictine monk and the spiritual successor to John Main. He is the Director of The World Community for Christian Meditation. Author, retreat leader and international speaker, Fr Laurence sees the contemplative as the essential dimension of all spirituality. This Talk was recorded at the Meditatio Centre, in London. Episode 68! - Nostalgia - Just Remember The Good Nostalgia Stephanie Here...Talk, Tales and Trivia! Well it seems like an episode on nostalgia was in order as I think of my two favorite seasons that are right upon us... Fall and Winter. Ahhh... the nostalgia of walking in the leaves, playing in the snow or, my favorite, hunkering down with an excellent book-book (the kind with pages). There's a lot of history, and advice, regarding this nostalgia topic. My advice, if anyone's asking, is to take it easy on yourself and only have what I consider "good nostalgia" memories. The kind of nostalgia you are going to have fond memories of... like the trip you took when you were twenty-five, or an activity you loved doing with high school friends, and even getting cozy with a blanket on a snowy day. Yes! Just like ME! You know what I would do now if I were you? Get that favorite beverage and snack... go now and get in that recliner with said beverage and snack and... Sit. Relax. Listen. Enjoy. Thank you for making this the best two years in a row that I have ever had! Yes. This Talk, Tales and Trivia podcast is all for you! And I love you. Thank you. This Talk is based on Philippians 1:3-14.
This Talk begins with a video by Frank HW Miller (www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1KQ9zrhXtI). The background wind sound soon dies down. We then consider seven attributes of Jesus' hands. At the end we are reminded to shake off our complacency. The numerous PowerPoint slides and typed Outline are available on our website - you may wish to look at them as you listen to this Talk.
This Talk occurred in London on Saturday 22nd October 2011 at the Al Buruj Press Conference titled MAN’S GREATEST ENEMY: A DISEASED HEART with other Guest Speakers including Shaykh Suliman Ghani, Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad and the 85 Year Old Senior Scholar Shaykh Ya’qub al-Kaawi al-Qasmi.
This Talk began with a YouTube video which featured Colonel HW Miller talking about what Christmas isn’t about. It can be viewed here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP37kQg0w_4 Not everybody enjoys Christmas. Perhaps those who are ill, have experienced death in the family recently, those in debt and those in wars. Three well-known Kings from the Christmas story are briefly discussed, as well as one who is much less known. King Herod (Alex), Caesar Augustus (Keith) and King Jesus (Andy) are described with regard to what they were like and what they did. “King Me” takes the crown off Jesus. “King Me” isn’t interested in others. We are encouraged to give the crown we wear to Jesus. Our primary response to Jesus at Christmas isn’t to send cards, eat a lot or give to charity. Christmas is really recognising who Jesus is and then giving Him our own crown in order to follow Him wholeheartedly. Let Him increase in our lives and ourselves decrease. Celebrating Christmas is about allowing Jesus to wear our crown.
It's brilliant that we have freedom in Christ. This is not a freedom where we can do anything we want though. It's the freedom to lay aside our freedoms. It's the right to lay aside our rights. This Talk also gives us some background to Paul and his relationship with the church he planted in Corinth.
On this Prayer Sunday we are encouraged to be generous as we pray. This Talk starts off with the stories of the Prodigal Son and Good Samaritan being told. Was it the same person in Jesus’ mind? As our heavenly Father forgives us for what we have done, so we can go out with His power to bless and encourage others. Just as God loves a cheerful and non-reluctant giver (2 Corinthians 9:7), so surely He must love a cheerful and non-reluctant pray-er? We are reminded to be inspired by reading the many prayers that are in the Bible, as well as those that have been written down in recent decades and centuries. Listening to others pray is often helpful as well as using objects to spark our activity. God is “..able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine…” (Ephesians 3:20). You might find it useful to look on our website to look at the PowerPoint slides as you listen to this audio.
This Talk introduces a new Series: Revival. We are reminded that whilst Revival is always God's initiative we all have a part to play - to listen, pray and turn from our sinful ways. Some Old Testament stories show us that God is at work. We are encouraged to follow Him with passion, persistence and patience.
Can something negative be positive? And what exactly does it mean to be blessed? This Talk explores this and more. How do we meditate and what do we meditate on? There are lots of practical pointers to try out in our daily walk.
This Talk begins with a general introduction to our latest Series: Psalms 1-41. Psalm 23 is then discussed, especially thinking about God's Providence, Protection and Provision. The LORD is our shepherd, but we need to let Him be close to us in order for us to know it in reality.
Easter leads to Transformation. Listen to some of the surprises of the first Easter. This Talk is based on John 20:19-29 and helps us to consider Inquistive Thomas, as well as the cost of sin. (The volume suddenly gets louder after 30 seconds.)
