Annonce d'un cross-over Petit Ours Brun vs. Winnie l'ourson ? Ce serait pourtant plus simple. Ce brave Winnie est devenue, depuis quelques mois, la figure de Xi Jinping alors que l'ours noir a quant à lui toujours représenté l'île taïwanaise. EPISODE 34 - External Version - UZEB - Canadian Jazz 3 Piece - Riff 55 and Don't Be Bop The Add To My Playlist Podcast Features UZEB - Canadian Jazz 3 Piece UZEB is a Canadian jazz fusion band from Montreal, Quebec who were active from 1976 to 1992, and reunited in November 2016. The members are Alain Caron (bass guitar), Michel Cusson (guitar), and Paul Brochu (drums). The band won a number of Canadian awards during the 1980s. By 1989, international sales of UZEB's first eight recordings had exceeded 200,000 units, which the Encyclopedia of Music in Canada calls "an unprecedented figure for a Canadian jazz group" UZEB was formed in 1976 in Drummondville, Quebec, when guitarist Michel Cusson and bassist Alain Caron started a jazz duo. The band originally named itself Eusèbe Jazz, their first concert (in Acton Vale, QC) being on the name day of St Eusèbe. This name was later shortened to UZEB. The band soon moved to Montreal. Drummer Paul Brochu joined Cusson and Caron in 1978. Until 1987, the band included a keyboardist: first Jean St-Jacques, followed by Stephan Montanaro (featured on the album Live in Bracknell), Sylvain Coutu, and then Michel Cyr. In the 1980s, UZEB had what was then a very technologically advanced MIDI system for its synthesizers. After 1987, UZEB became a trio consisting of Cusson, Caron, and Brochu. UZEB won Quebec Félix awards as group of the year in 1984 and 1989 (in competition with Quebec pop and rock bands). As well, the band won awards for jazz album of the year in 1983, 1984, 1986, and 1987. UZEB did Quebec-wide and several Canadian tours. In 1991 UZEB received the Oscar Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented at the 1991 Montreal International Jazz Festival. UZEB played its first European concert in 1981 at the Bracknell (England) Jazz Festival. In 1983, UZEB appeared at the Festival de Jazz de Paris and recorded at the Olympia in Paris. UZEB also played in other European countries and in Southeast Asia (in 1990). However, UZEB rarely played concerts in the US. UZEB's most popular songs include "Junk Funk", "Smiles and Chuckles", "Mile 'O'", "60 rue des Lombards", "Spider", and "Uzeb Club". In 2017, the band reformed for a series of five concerts in Europe and fourteen in Quebec. Riff 55 and Don't Be Bop ___ The Add To My Playlist Website Have a podcast and need a great website? Canadian-Metis composer Ian Cusson speaks about the barriers that keep diversity out of new work creation and how his own culture fostered an undeniable passion to tell stories that compel him and his sense of responsibility to open the door for the next generation of IBPoC composers.
We're proud to honour National Indigenous Peoples Day with an in-depth conversation with Métis composer Ian Cusson and Vancouver Opera's Ashley Daniel Foot. In a wide ranging conversation, Ian talks about the ways his Metis and French Canadian descent intersect with his music, the meanings of story, and the power of music to bring about societal change. We also play an excerpt from his opera, Fantasma (more details here) and a selection from his Where there's a Wall song cycle. Ian Cusson is a composer of art song, opera and orchestral work. Of Métis (Georgian Bay Métis Community) and French Canadian descent, his work explores Canadian Indigenous experience including the history of the Métis people, the hybridity of mixed-racial identity, and the intersection of Western and Indigenous cultures. You can find out more about Ian here. podcast produced, hosted, and edited by Ashley Daniel Foot MUSIC CREDITS Music from Fantasma courtesy of the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity "Where there's a wall" Song-cycle for voice and piano Text by Joy Kogawa Krisztina Szabó, voice Rachael Kerr, piano Recorded at the Canadian Music Centre, Toronto on November 14, 2019 by John Gray.

Will God answer your prayer if you don't end with, "In Jesus' name, Amen?" Learn what praying in the name of Jesus really means. I taught this week on the call of Abraham and the development of God's missionary call through the nation of Israel as they were responsible to communicate the truth of God to the cultures around them. They were given that great commission. The great commission didn't start in Matthew 28. It started with Abraham in Genesis 12 —the first three verses there —Abraham, chosen by God to raise up a nation who would then be God's priests to the world so that they would be a blessing to all of the nations. They had a unique role in the great monotheistic religion. The Jews were supposed to reflect morality to the world. Israel was to witness to the name of God. When they talked about the name of God and witnessing to God's name, that does not mean that they were to let everybody know what they called God, "Yahweh." Their goal wasn't to cover the countryside with evangelists who just let everybody know what the right word for God was. It meant something different. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆https://linktr.ee/jacksonlibon-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #realtalk #face #instagram #amour #take #couple #dance #dancers #vogue #voguedqnce #garden #tiktok #psychology #beyou #near #love #foryou #money #ForYouPizza #fyp #irobot #theend #pups #TikToker #couplegoals #famille #relation #doudou #youtube #twitter #tiktokers #love #reeĺs #shorts #instagood #follow #like #ouy #oyu #babyshark #lilnasx #girl #happybirthday #movie #nbayoungboy #deviance #autotrader #trading #khan #academy #carter #carguru #ancestry #accords #abc #news #bts #cbs #huru #bluebook #socialmedia #whatsapp #music #google #photography #memes #marketing #india #followforfollowback #likeforlikes #a #insta #fashion #k #trending #digitalmarketing #covid #o #snapchat #socialmediamarketingH

[include file=get-in-itunes.html]If you have health ailments like arthritis, heart disease, cancer, glaucoma, cheloid scars, inflammation, joint pain and more they are all closely correlated to having TOO MUCH inabsorbable calcium in your body. It's called over calcification. Being over calcified leads to internal fibrosis (organ shrinkage) and ultimately death. Professor Ron Cusson Phd talks about how magnesium bicarbonite helps to push bad calcium out of the tissues, joints, ligaments, blood stream and ultimately organs. Removing bad calcium and introducing magnesium from the ocean and sea is where we can help heal the human organism. This is truly a fascinating interview with a fascinating man. He's a theoretical physicist by trade and gives us a great interview. After you listen, comment below and tell us what you think! We discuss the following and so much more: The one food that calcifies us faster than any other How to protect yourself from bad calcium in our tap water Foods that are high in magnesium Why magnesium is the most important mineral of all How to convert your ordinary blender caraffe into a high energy super vortexer for creating structured water How to dissolve soft tissue calcification And so much more! In his previous career, he primarily focused on advanced physics fields such as nuclear physics and theoretical physics. Few skiers have had such a lasting impact on their sport like Mike Douglas. From Olympic-caliber bumper to freeskiing pioneer to ski design innovator to influential filmmaker, Whistler’s. Douglas has been at the forefront of skiing for more than 25 years. There’s a good reason everyone calls him “the Godfather of Freeskiing.” He pushed his young moguls skiers — like Vincent Dorian, J.P. Auclair, J.F. Cusson and Shane Szocs — into “snowboard parks” in the mid 1990s, where the crew became known as the New Canadian Air Force. Their FIS-dissing trickery chafed against international rules that forbid mogul skiers from getting inverted. Douglas and his crew designed their perfect ski, which became the Salomon 1080 and changed skiing. Douglas has spent his life exploring skiing from the perspective of athlete, coach, ski designer, instructor and filmmaker. Tune in as the Godfather holds court. 3:57: Moving to Whistler for a quick year before university, Douglas signs up for moguls contests and ends the season ranked third in British Columbia. 5:00: Making a run for the Lillehammer Games in 1994, Douglas works with the Canadian Freestyle Team. 5:25: Bad habits plagued his early skiing. The worst? The heavy head. “The world slows down the farther you look.” 8:00: Started coaching in Whistler Blackcomb, teaching the next generation of mogul skiers. 9:15: Top athletes were grating under the strictures of FIS mogul skiing. Snowboarding was blowing up. Skiers wondered why they couldn’t do that same tricks as snowboarders. 10:30: Back then, if you wanted to change a trick, it took two years to win FIS approval. “Meanwhile we were watching snowboarders innovating every week.” 11:10: Douglas and top bumpers started poaching the snowboard-only terrain parks after moguls practice. 12:04: The skills from mogul skiing transferred to the park. Balanced at speed. 13:20: Trial-and-error skill development in the park predated trampolines and airbags. 14:32:: The creation of the Salomon 1080. “We knew we needed a ski that was different.” 19:45: Absorbing the fire he sparked in freeskiing. “Every day I see something ridiculous that melts my brain.” 22:18: Longevity on skis comes from a drive to keep moving and keep improving. 27:10: Almost every day on the same skis and boots. 29:44: The technology that enabled the one-ski quiver. 31:35: Lessons from 18 years teaching at Chile’s Superstars Camp. 33:35: Three most basic principles of skiing. Simple is better. “If you can do those three things you can ski well anywhere." 36:16: Seeking the secret to longevity and “The Fountain of Youth” in Japan with Everest skier Yuichiro Miura and his son Gota. 39:50: Step by step. “You got to have a goal.” 42:28: Notching wins for the climate as a driving force behind Protect Our Winters Canada. Motivating skiers to write 23,000 letters to the government, forcing a coal mine expansion to undergo intensive environmental review. “We may have saved 15 million tons of carbon dioxide from going into the air every year.”

Retail shopping -- every November and December we hear that it's fading away with the rise of online sales, but not everyone is ready to throw in the towel. Instead, brick and mortar stores are learning to "up their game" by looking at new ways to attract people off the street AND on their phones, by tying the two worlds together in creative ways. Our next guest on the BrandBuilders podcast does exactly that to balance the online and storefront worlds. Jim Cusson *builds brands* as president of Theory House, a Charlotte retail marketing agency. And we mean big names... including Pepsi, Lowe's, and Starbucks to name a few. Welcome from one BrandBuilder to another, Jim!

Matt Cusson, an award-winning singer/songwriter and pianist, continues to wow audiences and prove that he is the real deal. He is a gifted self-taught musician who excels in jazz, pop, singer/songwriter and soul, as demonstrated by his expert writing and arranging skills on his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album of 2009. That same year, Matt won (by unanimous vote) the John Lennon Songwriting Contest's top annual prize - the Maxell Song of the Year - for his jazz ballad "One of Those Nights". That song also won the Billboard Songwriting Award in the Best Jazz Song category, and came in second in the International Songwriting Competition, as well as being nominated for a 2011 Los Angeles Music Award for “Best Male Vocalist” and “Best Jazz Song”. In 2013 Matt was also a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition with his lullaby, “Once Upon A Time”. Matt attended Berklee College of Music, where he performed in the exclusive "Singer Showcase", which highlights the school's top eight singers. He cites many musical influences, such as James Taylor, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Rufus Wainwright, Djavan, Miles Davis, and John Mayer, just to name a few. Even more impressive is the list of artists he has performed with, including Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, the Roots, Babyface, Christina Aguilera, India Arie, Boyz II Men, Paulina Rubio, BeBe Winans, Joe, Jon B, Livingston Taylor, and many others. More recently, Matt has been working and touring with his mentor and friend, Brian McKnight, star of Broadway and TV, Megan Hilty, 5 time Grammy award winner, Cee Lo Green, and Javier Colon, winner of the first season of “The Voice”. Matt has also played, sung, written, produced and arranged for countless artists and continues to find a large portion of his work in the recording studio. Matt is a three-time "Amateur Night at The Apollo" winner, and has a long list of television shows that he has made appearances on, including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, "The View", “Rachael Ray Show, “Live with Kelly and Michael”, “Live with Regis and Kelly”, “The Brian McKnight Show”, “Christmas in Rockefeller Center”, and "Millionaire Matchmaker”. He was also a regular as the “one man band” and also a musical guest on VH1’s, “Big Morning Buzz Live” with Nick Lachey, where he co-wrote and arranged several bumps and songs for the show. He was a featured performer on the international "Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror" tour in 2010. Matt's current single, "Leaving L.A." is receiving rave reviews and being played all over the world. His 2012 Christmas EP, “It’s Christmas Time”, is a regular play on Sirius XM Radio and numerous radio stations during the holiday season. His sophomore album, “Only Human”, will be released in the Spring of 2016. “You can tell right away when Matt starts playing that he is the real thing.”– James Taylor “Matt has an incredible gift.” – Brian McKnight "Matt Cusson is honestly one of the most talented musicians I've ever met. When I heard him live for the first time, I was blown away not only by how well he sang and played, but how easy he makes it seem. I became an instant fan. There are a lot of artists out there, but few even come close to the amount of talent he has. He combines Jazz, R&B, Pop like nobody I know. He's so good he makes you want to go home and practice your scales. If you haven't had a chance to hear Matt, you're missing out on a world class artist." - Javier Colon, Universal Records and winner of NBC’s “The Voice”
