U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin on Friday toured Milwaukee's elections operations center in an effort to promote voter confidence.
What does it take to lead one of the most iconic airports on earth while rebuilding it from the ground up with the Olympics two years away? In this episode of The Leadership Enigma, Adam Pacifico sits down with John Ackerman, CEO of Los Angeles World Airports, the organisation behind LAX a gateway that welcomes 75 million passengers a year and employs 50,000 people every single day. John shares his remarkable non-linear journey from Marine Corps Harrier jet pilot, to airline captain, to his first ever CEO role leading a $30 billion transformation of one of the most recognised airports in the world. He opens up about the reality he walked into crumbling infrastructure, a negative employee NPS score, and a workforce that had been let down and why his very first decision was to put people above everything else, including customers and airlines. This is a conversation about servant leadership, legacy, and what it really means to lead under pressure and public scrutiny. In this episode you will hear about: - The Marine Corps "leader eats last" lesson that shaped John's entire leadership philosophy - Why LAX had a negative employee Net Promoter Score and how they climbed out of it - The decision to prioritise employees over airlines and customers and the gasps it caused - The $30 billion transformation programme and how John leads it under full public and political scrutiny - Putting the soul of Los Angeles back into LAX ahead of the 2028 Olympics - The secret plans for the world's most famous airport building the iconic Theme Building - Why John went from dismissing HR to believing it is absolutely everything If you lead a team, a business, or an organisation going through change, this episode will challenge and inspire how you think about people-first leadership.
Shane's new memoir, Mountain Warrior, is an honest reflection on the triumphs and setbacks that have shaped him.
Welcome to Ranger levels 1 through 4, where you can become a deadly shadow archer, command your own miniature dragon, or sacrifice your entire action so that a flying snake with the structural integrity of wet parchment can participate in combat. In this episode, we explore Favored Enemies nobody tracks, terrain nobody visits, spells competing for the same concentration slot, and the revolutionary discovery that the Ranger becomes significantly better when you replace most of the Ranger. Grab your longbow, release your drake, and prepare to whisper, "Go get 'em, little buddy," moments before your animal companion is killed by incidental damage. Show Notes The Ranger has spent years carrying a terrible reputation, but is the entire class actually bad, or did everyone read the original Beast Master, experience psychic damage, and refuse to look at the class again? In this episode, we begin our journey through the 2014 Ranger from levels 1 through 4. We break down the class's ability scores, armor, weapons, skills, Fighting Styles, spellcasting, and its awkward position somewhere between Fighter, Rogue, and person who remembers to bring enough trail rations. We examine the original Favored Enemy and Natural Explorer features, which are extremely useful when the campaign takes place in one specific biome against one specific enemy and the DM insists that every mile of travel be handled in real time. Then we look at Tasha's optional features, including Favored Foe and Deft Explorer, which give Rangers abilities they might actually use during an adventure. At level 3, the builds split dramatically. Randall embraces the darkness with a Gloom Stalker built around stealth, hand crossbows, and making an alarming number of attacks before the enemy understands that combat has started. Ash chooses the Drakewarden, gaining a durable dragon companion that can attack, support allies, and generally behave like a functional subclass feature. Tyler, meanwhile, voluntarily builds the original Player's Handbook Beast Master. Armed with determination, optimism, and a flying snake that can be eliminated by an aggressively closed door, he attempts to prove that the subclass can work. It technically can, provided your definition of working includes surrendering your action, protecting your pet at all costs, and carrying its body around until the DM allows you to find another one. By level 4, the difference is impossible to ignore. The Gloom Stalker is attacking repeatedly from the shadows, the Drakewarden is firing arrows while a dragon controls the front line, and the Beast Master is pointing toward the enemy and asking his snake to please do something useful. Two Rangers are ready for the next tier of play. One Ranger needs to lie down. Key Takeaways Dexterity is usually the Ranger's best primary ability. It supports ranged and finesse weapons, Armor Class, initiative, Stealth, and several important saving throws without demanding the impossible ability spread required by most Strength builds. The original level-one features are painfully campaign-dependent. Favored Enemy mostly helps with tracking and recalling information, while Natural Explorer becomes relevant only when the party is traveling through the terrain you selected. Tasha's optional features are major improvements. Favored Foe provides extra damage without consuming a bonus action, while Deft Explorer gives the Ranger expertise in a chosen skill and helps it better occupy the party's scout role. Bonus-action management matters. Hunter's Mark, two-weapon fighting, Crossbow Expert, and companion commands can all compete for the same bonus action, so your build needs a clear plan for how its turns will work. Archery remains an excellent Fighting Style. The attack bonus is reliable, useful at every level, and especially valuable for builds planning to use powerful ranged feats later. Ranger spells should provide more than damage. Healing, control, mobility, and utility can offer better value than repeatedly concentrating on Hunter's Mark, especially when Favored Foe can handle shorter fights. Most Ranger subclasses are functional or strong. Gloom Stalker offers excellent opening-round offense, Drakewarden delivers an effective companion, and even Hunter remains playable. The original Beast Master is the feature responsible for much of the class's terrible reputation. The original Beast Master has a brutal action economy. Commanding the companion to attack consumes the Ranger's action, leaving the character watching their pet play D&D on their behalf. Modern companion subclasses demonstrate what Beast Master should have been. The Drake can act through a bonus action, contribute extra damage with its reaction, support the front line, and survive encounters without requiring constant emotional and medical supervision. Your build should have a recognizable combat loop by level 4. Randall attacks rapidly from hiding, Ash fires from range while the Drake fights up front, and Tyler commands a snake while quietly reconsidering every decision that brought him here. A large grass and brush fire at 5900 NE 6th Ave. in Vancouver ignited three simultaneous fire areas covering roughly 600 by 400 feet, spread over a concrete wall toward Interstate 5, and required 14 apparatus and 42 firefighters to bring under control in 15 minutes. The Clark County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause. https://www.clarkcountytoday.com/news/vfd-extinguishes-brush-fire/ #VancouverFire #BrushFire #ClarkCounty #PublicSafety #WashingtonState

In the sixty-seventh episode of Making Mt. Rushmore, host/moderator Steve Riddle welcomes Jeremy Nichols and Roger Morrissette to discuss which Boxing Films deserve a place on their respective lists. Is Rocky III a no-brainer? What about the Fighter? Does Raging Bull grab a spot? Does Rocky IV and Creed deserve a place? After that, they discuss which Wrestling/MMA Films will be part of that grouping. Can you argue that the Wrestler shouldn't get a spot? Will Warrior be included? Is No Holds Barred in the conversation? What about Queen of the Ring or Body Slam?

A pilot survives a military jet crash in California. AP correspondent Jennifer King reports.
STREET FIGHTER & RAMAYANA TRAILER REACTIONS!! Jason Momoa's Blanka brings electric chaos before Ranbir Kapoor and Yash face off in an epic IMAX take on the Ramayana! Aaron Alexander & Andrew Gordon react to new footage from Street Fighter and the official Ramayana: Part 1 trailer. Street Fighter, directed by Kitao Sakurai, stars Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Jason Momoa as Blanka, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, and Roman Reigns as Akuma. The footage highlights Blanka's electric powers, claws, and a brutal arena fight with Ryu. Ramayana: Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. With music by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman and VFX by DNEG, the trailer showcases massive battles, mythic creatures, emotional stakes, and stunning IMAX visuals. After Street Fighter, Aaron and Andrew break down the creative direction of Blanka's design and how the film balances darker, more intense elements with a lighter, more playful tone. They discuss Momoa's portrayal, the energy of the action, the visual effects, and how characters like M. Bison and Ryu are being adapted for the big screen, along with speculation about iconic moves and overall tone. Ramayana, on the other hand, stands out for its scale and cinematic ambition. Both highlight its emotional storytelling, sweeping visuals, and mythic scope, with comparisons to other large-scale fantasy epics and interest in the central conflict between Rama and Ravana. The trailer's music, action, and IMAX presentation are also key talking points, along with how effectively it introduces the story to a wider audience. We start with Gio refusing to let the Mets blame injuries for their horrific season, Emma Stone opting for Juan Soto over Francisco Lindor for a movie cameo, and a caller wondering if Carlos Beltran will be the next Mets manager. Jerry's update delivers sound from the Yankees losing to the Phillies, Beltran's Hall of Fame speech, Daniel Jones feeling good heading into camp, and Mike Vrabel bringing a puppy to his press conference. Finally, Stephen A. Smith gets Charles Barkley's reaction to LeBron going to Philly, before caller Dan in Carteret recounts a murderer trying to get a ride in his car.
In fighter jet aviation, errors can be fatal -- so the systems built around learning from them have to actually work. My guest is Christian "Boo" Boucousis, a former Royal Australian Air Force fighter pilot and CEO of Afterburner, a leadership firm that has spent three decades translating combat aviation discipline into frameworks for business leaders. Episode page with links and more Boo's favorite mistake is really a reframe of the whole concept: in fighter pilot culture, there's no word for "mistake," only outcomes to debrief. He tells the story of his first mission as a commander, which ended in a visible, ten-second failure in front of three of the most senior leaders in the Air Force -- and how every one of them owned their own error first in the debrief that followed. That moment became the foundation for ORCA (Objective, Result, Cause, Action), the method he now teaches business leaders to replace blame with structured learning. We also get into the difference between "perfect" and "flawless," why an estimated 86 percent of leaders may carry undiagnosed perfectionism, and how that shows up as a need for control at work. If you lead a team and want a more honest way to talk about what went wrong, this conversation is for you.

1994's Street Fighter is a perfect example of the lawless ass 90s. Like other video game movies of the era, it ignores all the things that made its inspiration great. Unlike many of its contemporaries, though, Street Fighter overcomes its terrible script, weak acting, poor casting, and ludicrous plot. That is thanks in large part to the late and certainly great Raul Julia as villainous M. Bison. In his final film role, it's safe to say he understood the assignment. Now, sit back, harness your psycho power with a Dual Torpedo DIPA from Sierra Nevada, and blow up that invisible boat! The Thunderous Wizard, Chumpzilla, and Bling Blake are going to kick Bison's ass so hard that the next Bison wannabe is going to feel it! This Week's Segments: Introduction/Plot Breakdown – The ultimate battle! Lingering Questions – There's no denying this movie is bad, but is it so bad that it's actually good? In Dumb Ass News, a whole street fight between two strangers turned out to be a big mistake. Chaz and AJ had hilarious audio of the argument, the punch and the apology. (0:00) Clearly, there needs to be an establishment of basic concert ettiquette. Chaz and AJ asked the Tribe to call in their suggestions, after Noah Kahan fans have repeatedly seen people urinating (or worse) in their seats instead of going to the bathroom. (4:27) Joe Soper from Mohegan Sun was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the lineup for their 30th anniversary, from Foo Fighters and Alanis Morrissette, to Metallica and Rush. Plus, Kevin Gagliard was in studio from Pepe's Pizzeria to talk about next weekend's CT Pizza and Brewfest. (22:31)Anyone else miss water beds? Chaz and AJ welcomed Commander Keith in studio for his list of the Top 5 things he's hoping make a comeback. (31:04)
Dr. Phil continues his coverage of the government's UAP disclosures by speaking with former U.S Navy Lieutenant and F-18 pilot, Ryan Graves, who has over a decade of service, including two deployments in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. While flying with the NAVY, Ryan witnessed firsthand advanced UAPs and is considered the first active-duty pilot to come forward publicly about regular UAP sightings. Dr. Phil will speak with Ryan about the UAPs he's seen as a pilot, the flight maneuvers they are performing that are not of this world, and the fear that is keeping many military and commercial pilots from reporting what they are witnessing in our skies. Welcome to the very first episode of The Punch Perfect Podcast, your new favourite boxing show!Join hosts Emily Eubank, Ade Oladipo, and Liam Gough as they kick off their ultimate mission: attempting to engineer the ultimate fighter. A "Frankenstein GOAT" of boxing. But before serious punches are thrown, we step right into 'The Clinch' for a no-punches-pulled look at the sport. The producers have handed them an envelope containing a massive debate topic: "Fighters would rather retire a millionaire than be a Zuffa belt holder." With the clock ticking down a single three-minute round, the three tackle the dilution of championship belts, whether fighters are chasing clout over legacy, and if the entry of organisations like Zuffa will bring clarity or total chaos. They then get down to business in 'The Blueprint'; the heart of the show where they must collectively build their Frankenstein fighter. The attribute on the operating table is pure, unadulterated power. Each host champions up to three heavy-hitting fighters from history; who holds the absolute gold standard for the most devastating power? Can they reach a unanimous decision, or will it end in a split decision? Then for the final round, Em, Ade and Liam tackle the wild world of crossover boxing: how long will it be before we see a woman take on a man in a fight?

We want the goodness, and with that comes suffering." "The reality is we live in a broken world. We live in a dark world, but the great news is God has given us authority, and he's given us power to bring light to this world." "We're not guaranteed tomorrow. We're guaranteed today, the present moment." "You could weep and cry about the past, or be concerned and worried about the future, or you can live today." "If you're not mentally and spiritually sound, the physical is very challenging." "Your gifts and talents are to be used in some sort of capacity. Don't get lethargic. Don't become a wanderer. Don't go drifting." "If you can't find the joy in what you're doing, you shouldn't be doing it. You should be able to find the joy in everything you're doing." "Your health is your wealth. If you have your health, you have a million wishes. If you don't have your health, you have one wish, and generally that's for your health." "If you're still here on earth, there's still a purpose in your life." "Those who grow need to be low. Stay humble. Understand that there's always room for more." "We're so connected to computers and devices and social media. That's not really social. Social is people coming together in person and creating experiences in life together, not just sharing portions of their life online."
