Jesus Gave His Followers the Earth's Most Intimate Relationship – a Personal Relationship with God, the Universe's Creator MESSAGE SUMMARY: The idea of an intimate relationship is to truly know someone; and you are given the privilege of knowing God, the Creator of the Universe. You are given the privilege of being close to Him and to have a personal and dynamic relationship with the God of the universe. Your relationship with God is made possible through Jesus the Christ and God's gracious gift of the Holy Spirit. Paul, in Romans 8:37-39, succinctly defines God's uncompromising love for you through His personal relationship with you: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.". Jesus puts the Holy Spirit in your life so that you can commune and have personal fellowship with God -- the most intimate relationship on earth. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, help me to be still and to wait patiently for you in silence. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 125). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). In this message, Pastor Marco talks about how we are becoming a church who is living counter culture. Taking from Paul's words in Romans 12, living counter culture begins with surrender, is maintained by resisting conformity and is carried out by renewing the mind. Followers of Jesus are called to resist the pressure of the world and live distinctly transformed lives for the glory of God — no matter the cost.
Every villain thinks they're the hero of their own story. This episode proves that sometimes they're right, and that's what makes them dangerous. Joined by James D'Amato and Dillin Apelyan, we set out to discuss villain backstories and somehow end up creating a supernatural cat-themed criminal mastermind based on Tyler's cat Cora. The result is equal parts masterclass, therapy session, and cautionary tale about what happens when a cat gains both motivation and opposable thumbs. Show Notes This week we welcome James D'Amato and Dillin Apelyan from the One Shot Podcast Network to discuss the art of creating memorable tabletop RPG villains. Drawing from their new book, The Ultimate RPG Villain Backstory Guide, we explore how Game Masters can move beyond simple evil-for-the-sake-of-evil antagonists and build villains with goals, beliefs, flaws, and histories that make them feel alive. The conversation examines why great villains are often reflections of the heroes themselves. We discuss how similar experiences can lead one character toward heroism and another toward villainy, and why understanding a villain's motivations often makes them more frightening rather than more sympathetic. A villain does not need redemption to be compelling. Sometimes knowing exactly why they became terrible only makes their choices more horrifying. To demonstrate the process, the group builds a villain from scratch using exercises from the book. Starting with the simple premise of Tyler's attention-seeking cat, we gradually construct a complex antagonist with needs, ideology, grudges, and a worldview that justifies increasingly terrible behavior. The exercise highlights how quickly a few well-designed prompts can transform a joke character into someone players would genuinely remember. We also discuss villain archetypes, the value of supporting indie RPG creators, experiences within the broader tabletop community, and how character motivations can create richer stories at the table. By the end of the episode, listeners will have practical tools for creating antagonists who challenge players emotionally as well as mechanically. Key Takeaways Great villains are people first and villains second. The most memorable antagonists have understandable desires, fears, and motivations. Even when their actions are unforgivable, players should be able to understand how they arrived at those decisions. A villain does not need to be sympathetic to be interesting. Learning a villain's history is not about excusing their actions. In many cases, understanding their choices makes them even more terrifying because they knowingly embraced a destructive path. Villains become stronger when they reflect the heroes. Some of the best antagonists share experiences, values, or struggles with the protagonists. The difference is often how they responded to those challenges, creating powerful thematic contrasts. Motivation matters more than evil. Players engage more deeply with villains who are pursuing something meaningful to them rather than simply causing destruction. Goals, needs, and personal stakes create stronger stories than random cruelty. Villain archetypes are tools, not restrictions. The book's archetypes can be combined to create unique antagonists. Mixing traits from multiple archetypes allows Game Masters to build villains that feel distinct and unpredictable. Corruption is often more interesting than conquest. Some villains do not just want to win. They want to prove they are right by pulling others into their worldview, tempting heroes and bystanders to compromise their values along the way. The people around a villain matter. Followers, allies, rivals, and victims help define who a villain is. These relationships create story hooks, reveal personality traits, and show the broader impact of the villain's actions. Small details create memorable antagonists. A villain's habits, grudges, insecurities, and personal beliefs often leave a stronger impression than their grand plans. Players remember personalities more than stat blocks. Building villains can be surprisingly collaborative. The episode's running joke about Cora evolves into a fully realized antagonist because everyone contributes ideas and follows the logical consequences of those choices. Villain creation often works best as an iterative process. Every campaign can benefit from a villain who feels alive. Whether your antagonist is a dark lord, corrupt noble, cult leader, or attention-starved cat, giving them a believable history and motivation will make every encounter more meaningful. My Need for Control | Let It Go Two | Rick Atchley by The Hills Church
When was the last time you sat in complete silence—no phone, no music, no running to-do list? In the loudest moment in human history, we've engineered our lives around never being quiet. And it's costing us.In the busiest season of his ministry, Jesus kept slipping away to be alone with the Father. If solitude was essential for the Son of God, what does that mean for us?In this message, we explore the discipline of solitude—what Scripture says about it, why it's so uncomfortable at first, and five practical steps to start practicing it this week. You weren't built to run at this pace. The peace and depth you're hungry for isn't found by doing more—it's found by learning to be still. Jesus is still saying, "Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while" (Mark 6:31).This week's challenge: Find ten minutes. Find a quiet place. Put your phone away. And say, "God, I'm here. I'm listening."

Ever feel like no matter what you achieve, it's never quite enough? You hit the goal, get the thing, close the deal, and then almost immediately your brain moves the target again. You're not lazy. You're not ungrateful. You're just infected. And in this episode, we talk about exactly that. In this solo episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I break down what I call the More Disease, the hedonic treadmill that keeps high achievers stuck in a cycle of wanting more money, more followers, more stuff, more achievements, without ever actually feeling fulfilled. This episode isn't about toxic positivity or telling you to want less. It's about getting honest with yourself, backed by real science and real data, so you can finally understand why chasing more keeps leaving you empty, and what to focus on instead. Here's the big shift: the villain isn't ambition. It's misdirected ambition. Most of us are running harder and staying in the same spot emotionally, because we're chasing things that science already proves won't bring lasting happiness. The cure isn't deprivation. It's redirection toward the things that actually move the needle on fulfillment. A few key takeaways from this episode: Money is a tool, not a cure. Research from Princeton, Penn, and a joint 2023 study all point to the same truth. If you're unhappy, more income won't fix it. Past a certain threshold, you'd have to double your earnings just for a tiny bump in satisfaction. Money buys you options, and options are beautiful. But it won't buy you peace. Social media is engineered to keep you wanting more. The 2026 World Happiness Report found that more than five hours a day on social media links directly to lower well-being, more stress, and more depression. It was built like a slot machine, wired to trigger the same novelty craving. The wildest stat? Most US college students wish it didn't exist, but keep using it because everyone else does. Your stuff owns you more than you own it. Study after study shows high materialism links to lower life satisfaction. Buying things to fill a void doesn't fill it, it just makes the void louder. Past a point, your possessions cost you your time, your attention, and your peace. Presence is the actual cure. A Harvard study tracking over 2,000 people found that our minds wander 47% of the time, and that wandering is what makes us unhappy. How present you are predicts your happiness better than what you're actually doing. The things that bring the most genuine joy, real connection, movement, nature, being fully in the moment, none of them are for sale. Define your true freedom number. Enough isn't a feeling that shows up on its own. You have to define it. Get crystal clear on what financial and creative freedom actually look like for you. When you hit it, celebrate it. Stop moving the goalpost. Measure yourself against where you've been, not some ever-shifting version of where you think you should be. At the end of the day, this episode is a reminder that Happy Hustlin' isn't about doing more. It's about being more present with what you already have, while you build toward what you actually want. The cure to the More Disease lives inside you, not in the next purchase, the next milestone, or the next follower count. If you're a high achiever who's tired of the treadmill and ready to feel genuinely fulfilled while still going after your goals, this episode is for you. Art Marketing Podcast: How to Sell Art Online and Generate Consistent Monthly Sales
You don't own your followers. You own your list. Every platform you're on is rented — the landlord can change the rules or close the door anytime. Your email list is the one audience nobody can take from you. The good news: it doesn't have to be huge. Three hundred of the right people is enough to run a real art business — which is exactly why you want three thousand, then thirty thousand, then three hundred thousand. This is the foundational one: why email matters, the creative ways to capture it, and the latest tradecraft. Almost no artists do this well. (We covered why the basics outlast everything in The Long Game — this is the basics, weaponized.) The unlock isn't new places. It's the places you're already standing — the booth, the bio link, the DM, the box you're shipping, the car in your driveway. Every one is a capture opportunity you're wasting. In this episode: The trifecta — phone, email, snail mail — and why email is the cheapest and easiest one to own Hobbyist or business? The honest cut, and why every opportunity is an email-capture opportunity The four online venues: your website (footer to popup to content upgrades), bio links, DMs, and comments The 11–15 second popup rule — the delay that converts at 6.45%, and why a zero-second popup kills it The Birthday Club, the new favorite opt-in: some people are birthday people, and if they are, they love it (3–4x) Just ask, then shut up — the DM play most artists never run The three offline venues: in-person events, the QR-code layer, and direct mail The clipboard and the fishbowl — $0 plays that are 150 years old and still work QR car magnets — the hero play nobody in art is running yet (about $35 a pair) Direct mail at $0.40 a piece — your art in 1,000 mailboxes around your gallery for less than a Meta ad The compounding math — how the basics become $800K–$1M over ten years Wyland and Gray Malin run this at the highest level — get on their lists and watch (see POD and Samples) This week's homework: pick three tactics. One online, one offline, and one you'd never have considered. Set them up by Friday. Then reply or DM me your three — I read every single one. Resources mentioned: Art Storefronts — the storefront engine for working artists Linktree — a bio-link service that turns your one link into a mini-website Sticker Mule car magnets — for the QR car-magnet play GotPrint — EDDM direct-mail postcards, ~$0.40 a piece Wyland and Gray Malin — get on their lists for the master class Related episodes: The Long Game — Why Your Website Will Still Be Working in 2055 POD and Samples — What Wyland and Gray Malin Actually Do The Gallery Test — Should Artists List Prices on Their Website? On this episode of The Verdict, Pastor John Munro focuses on a brilliant and profound truth of the Gospel that will encourage and inspire you. Followers of Christ are more than just servants or friends of Jesus, the Bible says we are “united” with Him. Join us to explore the implications of this mind-blowing truth.
There's a quiet ache most of us carry. Not loud. Not dramatic. But persistent. It shows up in small moments…When someone doesn't text back. When a conversation feels slightly off. When you walk away wondering, “Are we good?” It's subtle—but it's powerful. It's the ache of wanting to be lovedand the fear that the love we have could disappear. The reason is—most of the love we experience in this world feels… conditional.A parent only shows pride when a child achieves (grades, sports, behavior) Friends who are present when life is fun, but disappear when things get hard. Feeling valued only when you're productive or successful. A spouse or partner withholding emotional closeness after conflict, instead of working through it. “I affirm you… as long as we agree.” “I celebrate you… as long as you don't disrupt things.”No one has to say it out loud. You just feel it. You feel it in your job. You feel it in friendships. You feel it on social media.Unfortunately… sometimes even in church. And slowly, something begins to form in us. A low-grade anxiety. A subtle striving. A quiet voice that says: “If I'm not enough… I might be left.”So we adjust. We perform. We manage perception. We shape-shift depending on the room. Not because we're fake…but because we're trying to be loved. We live in a culture built on performance and perception and we are formed by this. Likes. Followers. Reviews. Metrics. Yu are constantly being evaluated. And here's what that does to the soul: It teaches you that your worth is earned… and fragile. The sociologist Charles Taylor talks about the “buffered self”—Taylor's point isn't just philosophical—it's deeply human. A person who looks secure on the outside, but underneath is deeply anxious about identity. Because if your identity is built on approval…then your life will be controlled by the fear of losing it. You start reading into everything. “Did they mean that?” “Why did they say it like that?” “Are they pulling away?”And you become emotionally exhausted—because your soul has no anchor.

Most Christians know they are called to love the people around them. Fewer think about what that means for the person who frustrates them in a meeting on Tuesday. Jason Davis stormed out of one of those meetings years ago, and what happened next reshaped how he shows up at work. This episode is for you if you want to bring your faith into daily workplace situations without preaching, burning out, or compartmentalizing it to Sunday mornings. What you will hear in this episode: Why prayer is not just a morning and evening habit. Jason walks through what it looks like to pray on demand throughout the workday, before a hard conversation, after a difficult meeting, and for the people around you. The real story behind his shift from complaining about a coworker to becoming an encourager. Including what happened years later when that same coworker asked about him. Why your coworkers qualify as neighbors in the biblical sense, and what that means for how you show up Monday through Friday. How to tell the difference between being led by God toward a decision and chasing the allure of entrepreneurship or a new opportunity on your own timeline. Why mentorship matters more than motivation if you are serious about growing in business or in your faith walk at work. Jason Davis(AKA Mr. Fortify) is a husband, author, speaker, teacher, encourager, and coach. Jason helps mission-driven people prioritize their faith in the marketplace by uniquely blending faith, business, and finance. Sarah, Social Media Manager at ManyChat, has grown the brand's Instagram to over 600K followers as a B2B company — and she did it by leading with value instead of product pitches. In this episode of Beyond Social, Sarah joins hosts Chris Cunningham and Reggie Azevedo to break down the content strategy behind ManyChat's social growth and what it really takes to build an engaged audience in the creator economy. Sarah covers why an 80/20 split between educational content and product promotion is the formula that actually converts, how ManyChat uses comment automations to drive massive engagement (and why their followers trigger keywords even when they're not asked to), and how she manages YouTube and Instagram with a lean but structured team workflow built inside Asana. The conversation also gets into AI and where it actually fits in a social media workflow — as a brainstorming partner and efficiency tool, not a replacement for the creativity that makes content stand out. Sarah also shares her framework for evaluating what's working, from watch time and engagement rate to iterating on hooks that consistently outperform. 100,000 Followers or 1,000 Emails? The Truth About What Actually Grows Your Business
I'm joined by my good friend Menno van Dyke, artistic director of Circusstad Festival in Rotterdam, for a conversation that starts with a recent circus trip to Stockholm and quickly turns into a masterclass on how audiences decide what to believe. We unpack a museum-style juggling show that uses archives, artifacts, and history to pull kids deeper into the craft and to give adults a new way to watch. From there we get honest about the downside of that same technique: skepticism. When the stakes look too high, some viewers assume it's all a story, which leads to a bigger question about showmanship, credibility, and why “real” physical skills sometimes need more proof than you'd expect. Then Menno takes us behind the scenes of contemporary circus festival programming and how Circusstad Festival Rotterdam helped build a stronger Dutch circus field by creating opportunities for graduates, inviting international companies, and producing new work like a gala night and a family freak show. We finish with the topic we can't stop nerding out about: the seven minute act. We talk structure, dramaturgy, and why short acts can be harder than full shows, plus how a personal circus video archive becomes a living library for anyone who wants to see what makes great acts endure.Subscribe, share this with a fellow circus lover, and leave a review so more listeners can find the show.LINKS:You can find information about the Juggling Tango act here. You can see a filmed version of it here. And this is a link to the Circusstad festival where Menno is the artistic director. If you think you need 100,000 followers before you can make real money as a creator, this episode will change your perspective. In this conversation with Chelsea Clark, we break down how creators actually operate — the strengths that set them apart, the blind spots that hold them back, and why a massive audience isn't the golden ticket everyone thinks it is. We're talking about how to identify what you're naturally good at, how to lean into it strategically, and how to monetize effectively without chasing vanity metrics.Because the creators who build sustainable income aren't always the biggest — they're the ones who know how to use what they already have.If you're ready to stop obsessing over follower count and start building real leverage, this one's for you.********************************DISCLAIMER: This audio and description may contain affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of our recommended products, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. In this week's message, Dave Bruskas, Executive Director of Discipleship, walks through Acts 11:19-30 and the growth of the church in Antioch, where the disciples were first called Christians. Through the faithfulness of ordinary believers, the encouragement of Barnabas, and the unity of the early church, we see what happens when people are deeply formed by Jesus. The passage challenges us to consider whether our lives are so shaped by Jesus that people naturally see him in us.

If you think your faith belongs at church and your work belongs at the office, you are already dividing something God never intended to split. The tension between belief and daily work is real, but it is not unsolvable. This episode gives you a practical framework for living your faith from Monday to Friday, beyond Sunday morning alone. Key Discussion Points The ART framework (Awareness, Responsibility, Tenacity): transformation requires action, not belief alone, because as Scripture says, faith without works is dead. Identity before purpose: God calls you to be someone before He calls you to do something, and getting that order wrong leads to drift. The 60-to-1 rule from aviation: one degree of course deviation compounds into a major miss over distance. Dan applies this to daily rhythms of faith, prayer, and strategic thinking at work. How to share your faith at work without being a theologian. Dan's simple framework: before Jesus, when Jesus happened, and after Jesus. Servant leadership in practice: what the Chick-fil-A inverted pyramid teaches about leading through serving, regardless of your title. Dan Pogue is an executive coach and leadership development expert who specializes in inspiring transformation in leaders and organizations. Drawing on over two decades of experience in the United States Air Force, corporate leadership, and roles as an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Master Certified Financial Coach, and founder of Thriving Leaders Group, he equips clients with the emotional intelligence, strategic clarity, and business acumen needed for lasting change. You don't need followers or an ad budget to make money on TikTok Shop. Neil Twa dives into the creator-to-commission model that lets you generate revenue without a following. Two sellers, different scales, same model. One is a husband-and-wife team running a home organization brand on Amazon, pulling in $10K/month. The other, a seven-figure operator, both leveraging TikTok's affiliate marketplace. List your product, set your commission, and let creators do the rest. These three moves work whether you're just starting or scaling your business. The High Voltage Business Builders Podcast breaks it all down.

Whether we realize it or not, every life points to something. Our priorities, passions, decisions, and responses all communicate what we believe is most important. In this final message of the Why Church series, we explore 1 Peter 2:9–10 and discover one of God's greatest purposes for His church. We are called to proclaim the excellencies of Jesus Christ, the One who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. This powerful sermon walks through the identity of God's people and reminds believers who they truly are in Christ. Peter writes to Christians facing suffering, persecution, uncertainty, and displacement. Many had lost homes, relationships, careers, and security because of their faith in Jesus. Into that pain and instability, Peter speaks truth about their identity. They are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people belonging to God. This message reminds us that our identity is not rooted in our performance, success, background, or achievements. Followers of Jesus are chosen because of God's faithfulness and grace, not because they earned His love. In a world where identity constantly shifts and people search for belonging, this sermon points us back to the unchanging truth of who we are in Christ. Throughout this teaching, we see that the church is not a building or an event. The church is a people united by Jesus. No matter our background, nationality, culture, or story, believers share a new heritage and citizenship through Christ. This sermon beautifully highlights the reality that followers of Jesus belong to a greater kingdom and a greater family than anything the world can offer. One of the central themes of this sermon is understanding what it means to proclaim the excellencies of God. Proclaiming the gospel is more than simply talking about Jesus occasionally. It is living a life transformed by Him. A life radically changed by Jesus naturally points back to the One who changed it. Through our words, our actions, our relationships, our worship, and our perseverance in suffering, we testify to the goodness and grace of God. This message also provides a vivid picture of salvation through the gospel. Just as trapped people in darkness cannot rescue themselves, humanity cannot save itself from sin. Jesus came to rescue us completely. He carried us out of darkness and brought us into His marvelous light through His death and resurrection. Salvation is not something we achieve on our own. It is entirely the work of God's grace. As this sermon unfolds, we are challenged to examine our own lives. What are we proclaiming through the way we live? Are our lives pointing to comfort, success, politics, approval, or ourselves? Or are they pointing to Jesus and the transforming power of the gospel? You will also hear a compelling encouragement to remain faithful in suffering. Peter's audience faced hostility for following Jesus, yet they continued proclaiming Him with hope and joy. This message reminds believers that even in hardship, disappointment, grief, or uncertainty, God still has purpose for His people. The church exists to proclaim who Jesus is and what He has done. This sermon also celebrates the beauty of worship and community. God's people gather together not out of obligation or performance, but because praise overflows from hearts changed by grace. As we remember the darkness Jesus rescued us from, worship becomes a joyful response to His mercy and love. If you are struggling with identity, carrying suffering, wrestling with sin, or searching for purpose, this message will encourage you to look to Jesus. He is faithful. He rescues. He restores. And He calls His people to proclaim His goodness to the world.

Jesus Explained that His Followers Would Both Pray and Fast, and Prayer and Fasting Are Matters of Heart Between His Followers and God MESSAGE SUMMARY: There are times when you need clarity, understanding, knowledge and insights from God about the specific issues that you are facing. In your personal relationship with God, the Lord will speak to you; but sometimes it takes both your listening and fasting to hear Him. Jesus, in Matthew 6:18, was speaking to the Apostles as well as those gathered for His “Sermon on the Mount” where he explained that praying and fasting are matters of the heart between Jesus Followers and God. Jesus assumes that his followers will fast: "that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Lay Up Treasures in Heaven.”. Also, when Joel received a Word when the land was to be destroyed, he called a fast (i.e. Joel 1:14): “Consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.”. Some things you are facing in your life must be dealt with by both prayer and fasting. Fasting releases a spiritual power – in your weakness, God is made strong in your life. Daniel's prayer, from Daniel 9:3-5, provides a context for asking direction from God: “Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. I prayed to the LORD my God and made confession, saying, ‘O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules.'". TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, you know how difficult it is for me to be in silence before you. At times it feels almost impossible, given the demands, distractions, and noise all around me. I invite you to lead me to a quiet, silent place before you — to a place where I can hear you as Elijah did. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 123). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). This week, Jason is joined by designer, entrepreneur, former Goldman Sachs executive, and social media powerhouse, Galey Alix, for a conversation about reinvention, resilience, and what happens when you bet on yourself before anyone else does. Before becoming one of the most recognizable names in home design, Galey spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs, where she rose from a $27,000-a-year call center role to becoming one of the firm's top-performing sales executives — eventually generating billions for the company and earning seven figures along the way. She opens up about the mindset, competitiveness, and “story selling” techniques that helped her succeed in one of the most intense corporate environments in the world. But behind the career success, Galey was privately struggling. She shares the deeply personal story of losing her fiancé just weeks before their wedding after opening up about her battle with an eating disorder — a moment that sent her into one of the darkest periods of her life. What followed unexpectedly changed everything. While stepping away from social media to focus on healing, Galey's home renovation videos quietly began going viral online. What started as decorating projects for fun soon exploded into a completely new career path — eventually leading to millions of followers, major brand partnerships, product lines carried nationwide, and her own television show, Home in a Heartbeat.Galey breaks down the business behind her success — from how she built a massive social media platform through “story selling” and emotional content, to why she believes creators today should focus more on digital platforms than traditional television. She also explains the financial realities of entrepreneurship, including the “Double Tarzan” strategy she used to transition out of corporate America while minimizing risk.Jason and Galey also dive into the economics of the design industry, how she approaches ROI in home renovations, why most designers structure their businesses incorrectly, and the surprising financial systems she uses to protect both herself and her clients.Beyond business, Galey opens up about perfectionism, burnout, anxiety, relationships, identity, and the pressure of constantly needing to achieve at the highest level. She shares why vulnerability ultimately became her greatest strength — both personally and professionally. From Wall Street to home design, and from heartbreak to building a multi-platform empire, Galey reveals what it really takes to reinvent yourself while staying relentlessly authentic along the way.Galey reveals all this and so much more in another episode you can't afford to miss!Subscribe to the Trading Secrets podcast!Host: Jason Tartick Co-Host: David Arduin Audio: John Gurney Video: Marc Colcer Guest: Galey AlixWealthfrontWealthfront's high-yield cash account: https://www.wealthfront.com/tradingsecrets.This experience may not be representative of other Wealthfront clients, and there is no guarantee of future performance or success. Chalene + her son Brock on the AI avatar takeover, why midlife creators are most at risk, and the one thing AI can never copy. This week's episode is a little different because Chalene is actually the guest. Brock Johnson invited his mom back onto Build Your Tribe for a conversation that honestly feels very relevant right now. Everyone is rushing to use AI for content, branding, writing, thumbnails, videos, and automation… but what if it's actually making creators more forgettable? Chalene and Brock break down the growing "trust recession" happening online, why audiences are becoming more skeptical of polished content, and how AI may already be hurting authenticity more than creators realize. They also talk about why younger generations instantly recognize AI generated content, how fake influencers are already getting brand deals, and the surprising reason imperfect content is starting to outperform polished content on YouTube and Instagram. This conversation gets into the future of personal branding, content creation, and what creators over 40 need to understand before AI completely changes the online landscape. If you've been wondering how to use AI without losing trust, connection, or credibility, this episode is a must listen. Every single time."Welcome back to The Speaker Lab Podcast! In this solo episode, host Dan Irvin calls out one of the most common — and costly — mistakes he sees on speaker calls every week: mistaking a content habit for a speaking business.Dan gets on the phone with speakers who have thousands of followers and zero paid gigs. He also gets on calls with speakers who have 200 followers and a packed calendar. The difference isn't the algorithm. It isn't the brand colors, the bio, or the reel that almost went viral. It's one thing: conversations.
