Abstract: Decreasing the cost of high-throughput DNA sequencing technologies, provides a huge amount of data that enables researchers to determine haplotypes for diploid and polyploid organisms. Although various methods have been developed to reconstruct haplotypes in diploid form, their accuracy is still a challenging task. Also, most of the current methods cannot be applied to polyploid form. In this paper, an iterative method is proposed, which employs hypergraph to reconstruct haplotype. The proposed method by utilizing chaotic viewpoint can enhance the obtained haplotypes. For this purpose, a haplotype set was randomly generated as an initial estimate, and its consistency with the input fragments was described by constructing a weighted hypergraph. Partitioning the hypergraph specifies those positions in the haplotype set that need to be corrected. This procedure is repeated until no further improvement could be achieved. Each element of the finalized haplotype set is mapped to a line by chaos game representation, and a coordinate series is defined based on the position of mapped points. Then, some positions with low qualities can be assessed by applying a local projection. Experimental results on both simulated and real datasets demonstrate that this method outperforms most other approaches, and is promising to perform the haplotype assembly. We have Khalifeh Al Jadda, Director of Data Science at Home Depot. Khalifeh has solid knowledge in large scale machine learning and data mining techniques. He tells us how in retail some businesses are still running manually, without the use of automation tools, so the job of data science leaders is to educate business partners and show them by example and with data the value that data science and artificial intelligence can deliver to their organizations. Later on, he explains their workflow is managed by product managers and starts with the data scientist taking the responsibility of building the machine learning model, training the model, validating it and even going all the way towards testing it. Then, machine learning engineers take over and scale up the code, they clean it, perform unit testing and do everything needed for it to be ready for production. Lina Khalifeh has more than 17 years experience practicing martial arts like Taekwondo, Kick-boxing, Kung Fu & Boxing. She is a 3Dan black belt in Taekwondo and has represented Jordan in many international tournaments. Appalled by violence against women, especially domestic violence, Lina decided to train women in self-defense. She started in her parents' basement, and in 2012 set up her first SheFighter training studio, the Middle East's first self-defense studio to empower women both mentally and physically. Lina is also an international businesswoman and is growing the SheFighter brand globally. In this episode we discussed how training can make women more confident and better able to defend themselves against violence. Reaction time is critical! Lina also mentioned a couple of specific things to do when faced with an attacker: target the throat or groin. If you want people to help you catch a fleeing culprit, shout "He's a thief!” It was interesting but not surprising to learn that gender discrimination and sexual harassment exist in the word of martial arts - we talked about speaking up "even if your voice is shaking". We covered the online abuse that Lina and SheFighter are receiving from the patriarchy due to the powerful social impact of her work, and how to react to that bullying. We also talked about her personal ability to switch off from the daily intensity - as an introvert, she prefers to recharge alone through individual sports like swimming or running.
