This replay series are the top 4 most listener to episodes and although we can't have favourite - they are very loved by me too!*In this episode, I'm speaking to Minna Dubin, the Author of ‘Mom Rage: The Everyday Crisis of Modern Motherhood.' I absolutely loved this book and was so excited to invite Minna to speak with me for this episode. Minna's writing has been featured in The New York Times, The Times, Salon, and many other publications. As a leading feminist voice on mom rage, Minna has also appeared on MSNBC, Good Morning America, The Tamron Hall Show, NBC10 Boston and NPR. Minna is from California and lives with her husband and two children. In this conversation, we talked about Minna's experience of becoming a mother and what her difficulties were during this time. We talk about rage in motherhood, exploring the social elements that play a role in this and the power of treating your anger with compassion. We also discussed: · The intensity that can come with difficult seasons of motherhood and the importance in having faith and self-belief that you can and will make it through these challenging times. We also discuss the power of drawing on previous experiences of when you have overcome challenging times to help foster this belief. · The need for time, space and separateness in mothering and how this is often perceived negatively in our society due to patriarchal internalised modelling that has led to the belief that a ‘good' mother wants to be around her children and husband all the time and who doesn't have needs of her own.· Minna's identity as being a bisexual Queer woman married to a cis-man, how becoming a mother intensified this experience and how she used writing to help process her second ‘coming out' experience once she was a mother, and the part this played in her returning to herself. - The internalised belief of the “good mother - good child” association that is held in many facets of our society, and how this can manifest in relation to neurodiversity and behavioural differences in children. And much more. Over 20 million copies of one of the most famous memoirs of all-time, “Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson” written by Mitch Albom, have been sold since its 1997 publication, and to this day it remains on many a college's required reading list. Twenty-eight years after Morrie Schwartz passed away, his son Rob Schwartz, has edited his father's last work, and posthumously published what has become a bestselling new book, “The Wisdom of Morrie: Living and Aging Creatively and Joyfully.” Rob is a journalist and entrepreneur, having founded a number of companies, both in Japan and the US, and held executive positions in others. He's produced numerous film and music projects with international teams. His areas of expertise include the entertainment industries in Asia, the US, and Europe. His projects often have a special emphasis on music, film, online business development, and developing musical artists' careers, as well as working for Billboard in Asia. He has appeared on Good Morning America, Nightline, PBS NewsHour, NBC10 Boston, and in WebMD, Psychology Today, Reader's Digest, and People magazine. Rob is currently one of the producers of Onetopia, a benefit music festival. I asked Rob what it was like growing-up in the in the Schwartz household along with his work and background, and what took him to Asia and his work there as a founder, journalist, and in production. The book's been described as a profound, poetic, and poignant masterpiece of living and aging joyfully and creatively, but he first starts off examining ageism and explaining how poisonous it is and how wrong it is. In his reflections he confronts the false notion that people are somehow made less by the aging process, and his coining the term “age casting,” as an aspect of ageism and diminishing a person's value solely based on their age. We wrapped-up our conversation with him sharing a bit about his efforts in producing a global benefit festival dedicated to mental health and has a playlist on Spotify. He's also working on the development of Holocaust survivors' story as a documentary as well. Rob's perspectives, work and life serve as an inspiration to us all to live our lives in full.

"I think about rage as containing information. I talk about anger as a weathervane pointing you towards the places that need attention and healing. So I think rage can be useful in that way of teaching you what needs to change in your life. And it might be that you need more support or you need to not be in charge of bedtime every night or whatever.Rage is also useful in giving you the energy to create change larger than just your little home." ~ Minna DubinWe are really excited to share with you this illuminating and enlightening conversation with Minna Dubin. On this episode of Headliners, Greg sits down with SINGLE BY SUNDAY to talk about their new single SEVERED TIES (Out 17 February).‘Single By Sunday' are a Pop Rock band from Glasgow. Core band members, Josh Ladds (lead vocals) and Jonny Eakins (lead guitar, backing vocals) are great believers in not being genre specific. "What's the point in having different musical influences and not experimenting with them. We prefer to be genre fluid, so you can hear different influences" - Jonny Eakins. Formed in 2015, they cite early Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, 5 Seconds of Summer and The 1975 as some of their influences.Raucous guitars, vocal melodies, fun and tons of energy are all prerequisite at ‘Single By Sunday' live shows. With a millennial brashness and a swagger all of their own, they pay homage to some of the mid-eighties Pop Punk bands.Having opened the prestigious Scottish Music Awards, they have also headlined the Boston MA ‘First Night' celebrations (at the request of NBC10 Boston) to a staggering 50k+ people. They also played Vans Warp tour in Buffalo NY alongside 3OH!3, Asking Alexandria, Waterparks, Palaye Royale etc.CONNECT WITH SINGLE BY SUNDAYWebsite - Instagram - TikTok - TwitterSUPPORT THIS SHOW

A big focus of the new year for the unit should be to build relationships."" In contrast: Plaintiff's 2017 and 2018 performance evaluations were both overwhelmingly positive. In her 2017 employee evaluation, plaintiff's manager wrote: ""Karen has been a driving force in getting the Investigators' unit off the ground. Her story-telling technique has really set a nice tone for the unit."" Hensel, who now works at WSVN in Miami - WHDH's sister station - says she complained repeatedly, but managers did nothing. Hensel alleges the other woman eventually told one of the investigative unit's producers that Hensel was dating the police chief in Auburn - and that he in turn alerted their supervisor, even though he didn't know why Doe was telling him that and that he knew she hated Hensel. In any case, by February 2019, ""at least three members of NBC10-Boston station management were aware of plaintiff's relationship with a local Police Chief,"" the complaint alleges. From February 2019 through defendants' offer of a second three-year employment agreement to plaintiff in July 2019, defendants and NBC10-Boston station management raised no issues or concerns whatsoever regarding plaintiff's personal relationship with a local Police Chief. But then, Hensel continues, her rival's hatred grew even deeper when the station moved to a new building and management put their desks too close together. So, Hensel alleges, the woman filed an anonymous complaint with NBC corporate about Hensel dating the chief. Management told Hensel she'd have

A Massachusetts law school says it's guilty of accidentally sending acceptance emails to thousands of former and current applicants. The Northeastern University School of Law in a statement blamed a “technical error” for the glitch, saying the erroneous emails went to more than 200 people who applied for admission starting next fall, as well as to nearly 4,000 former applicants, some of whom are already enrolled. “The School of Law quickly sent a clarifying email explaining the error. Individual outreach is also taking place to applicants with concerns,” the Boston school said. Final admissions decisions will not be made until later in the academic year. “The School of Law deeply regrets this unintended mistake and is taking steps to ensure that it will not happen in the future,” the school said. Lakisha Papoutsakis, a single mother from Northborough, Massachusetts, who received the acceptance email, told NBC10 Boston that she has dreamed of going to law school since she was a child. She shared the good news with her loved ones before noticing the follow-up email. “I was like, ‘Oh my God this is so amazing,' and then it was like, ‘Oh no, sorry, April Fool's Day,'” she said. This fall's law school class has 234 members out of 3,877 applicants, according to Northeastern's website. This article was provided by The Associated Press.
