Ecclesiastes 1, 12 // Jonathan NeefThis sermon explores the cyclical nature of life and the search for meaning as described in the book of Ecclesiastes. We look at the stark observations of the teacher in chapter 1 regarding the vanity of human toil and the pursuit of things "under the sun." By contrasting the weariness of endless cycles with the concluding wisdom in chapter 12, this study helps us find a grounded purpose that remains steady even when life feels fleeting.SERMON NOTES (YouVersion): https://bible.com/events/49623973 PRAYER REQUESTS: https://ccefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/2542/responses/new26.06.21

This talk is the fifth installment in a wellness series that takes a distinctly yogic approach to understanding life's challenges and spiritual development.Acharya das discusses the concept of "false shelter" (durashraya in Sanskrit) - the tendency to place unlimited trust in things that cannot provide genuine protection or happiness. He uses examples ranging from relationships and material possessions to modern technology and social media to illustrate how people become victims of their own poor choices rather than external circumstances. He stresses the importance of taking personal responsibility for life decisions and developing consequential thinking.Acharya das concludes with an emphasis on the importance of cultivating atma-tattva (knowledge of the soul/self) and the necessity of reconnecting with the Supreme Soul as the only genuine source of shelter and protection. He advocates for regular chanting meditation as a transformative practice that can lead to self-realization and God-realization, describing it as an immersive experience rather than a mental activity. Quotes used in the talk:For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his very mind will be the greatest enemy. Bhagavad-gītā 6.6For one whose mind is unbridled, self-realization is difficult work. But he whose mind is controlled and who strives by right means is assured of success. That is My opinion. Bhagavad-gītā 6.36When a man in the material world takes more interest in the materialistic way of life than in spiritual/God consciousness, he is considered to be in a diseased condition. The normal condition is to remain an eternal servant of the Lord. This healthy condition is lost when the living entity forgets God due to being attracted by the external features of Krsna's maya energy. This world of maya is called durasraya, which means “false or bad shelter.” One who puts his faith in durasraya becomes a candidate for hoping against hope. In the material world everyone is trying to become happy, and although their material attempts are baffled in every way, due to their nescience [ignorance] they cannot understand their mistakes. People try to rectify one mistake by making another mistake. This is the way of the struggle for existence in the material world. If one in this condition is advised to take to [cultivating] God consciousness and be happy, he does not accept such instructions. – Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami PrabhupadaPersons devoid of ātma-tattva do not inquire into the problems of life, being too attached to the fallible soldiers like the body, children and wife. Although sufficiently experienced, they still do not see their inevitable destruction. Bhāgavata Purāṇa 2.1.4“One who is not connected with the Supreme Soul can have neither transcendental intelligence nor a steady mind, without which there is no possibility of peace. And how can there be any happiness without peace?” – Bhagavad-gītā 2.66Chapters 00:00:00 Introduction to Yogic Wellness Philosophy 00:02:14 The Threefold Miseries and Realistic Expectations 00:04:35 Historical Foundation: Sanatana Goswami's Questions 00:13:32 Personal Responsibility in Relationships and Life Choices 00:19:24 The Search for Shelter and Modern Emptiness 00:26:07 Consequential Thinking and Rat Trap Happiness 00:29:17 Mind Control and Spiritual Practice 00:32:51 Modern Manipulation and Technology Addiction 00:37:34 False Shelter and Spiritual Guidance 00:42:00 Durashraya: The Nature of False Shelter 00:47:38 Fallible Soldiers and Spiritual Truth 00:50:00 True Shelter and Spiritual Connection 00:54:08 Chanting Meditation as Transformative Practice

BONUS MONDAYS: In the vast tapestry of human existence, we sometimes encounter moments that expand our consciousness and challenge our perceptions. Today's episode is one such journey, where we welcome back the enlightened and insightful Shehnaz Soni. Her profound understanding of both the scientific and the metaphysical realms offers us a unique perspective on the mysteries that lie beyond our everyday experience.Shehnaz Soni, a NASA rocket scientist working on the Artemis mission, brings a wealth of knowledge to our discussion about UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) and the implications of these phenomena for our understanding of the universe. Her background is not only rooted in rigorous scientific inquiry but also in a deep appreciation for the spiritual dimensions of existence. This combination allows her to navigate complex topics with an ease that makes the extraordinary feel accessible. In our conversation, Shehnaz discusses how the rapid advancements in technology, particularly in the field of virtual reality, are making it increasingly difficult to control the dissemination of information. “Now we're living in a world where VR, everybody's a newsman or newswoman. To me, it has opened the door for the truth to come out faster,” she explains. This democratization of information is contributing to our collective awakening, making it harder to suppress knowledge about intelligent, sentient beings.Shehnaz's insights into the realm of UAPs and their connection to our consciousness are particularly fascinating. She notes that our awareness and readiness to embrace these phenomena are growing as we evolve spiritually. According to Shehnaz, many of her colleagues at NASA, despite their scientific rigor, harbor a deep-seated belief in the existence of extraterrestrial life, largely influenced by their love for science fiction. This cultural context within NASA fosters an environment where the possibility of UAPs is not just accepted but eagerly explored.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/next-level-soul-podcast-with-alex-ferrari--4858435/support.Take your spiritual journey to the next level with Next Level Soul TV — our dedicated streaming home for conscious storytelling and soulful transformation.Experience exclusive programs, original series, movies, tv shows, workshops, audiobooks, meditations, and a growing library of inspiring content created to elevate, heal, and awaken. Ready to go inside the Manethosphere? Ancient Egypt. The Promise of Brilliance, Spiritual Truths, the birthplace of Hermetic Magic, Mythology, and Cat Allergies. One of the themes this show never ceases to deconstruct, reconstruct, and loop about on and on again, is our human capacity to great grand illusions for ourselves. The ability to witness a full-length feature film slice by slice—with real people performing scripted actions, speaking pre-written words, and imitating genuine emotions, all in two dimensions—yet still construct a visual narrative that absorbs you completely... that's uniquely human. That's uniquely Hollywood. And that might be the exact same illusory BS way of thinking that Egyptologists have used to delude themselves for decades... Steven Myers is a documentarian, researcher, founder, nonprofit director, author, antiquities scholar, Great Pyramid technologist, water‑pump theorist, lecturer, media guest, humanitarian advocate, and perhaps most importantly for this conversation...a critic of mainstream Egyptology. You'll learn TRUTHS about: • How the Great Pyramid of Giza may have actually been built! • Why "Royal Tomb" theories of pyramids royally suck... • A sharp teardown of the Orion Correlation Theory (and the thousands of original memes that support it) • Where thinkers like Graham Hancock and other alternative historians may still be missing the engineering reality hiding in plain sight. • Sacred geometry, star alignments, and pyramid mysticism and other things you wished Gwyneth Paltrow didn't speak about at parties The conversation with Steven takes you to an incredible place in his assessment of the Great Pyramid as an open-source industrial prosperity machine, a place where pipe dreams meet pump realities. And the occasional hairball. Your understanding of Ancient Egypt will never be the same again.... This week, we'll be studying Mark 9:35-50 under the theme “The Spiritual Truths We Learn From Little Ones.” We find that Kingdom greatness doesn't look like climbing over others—it looks like kneeling to serve them. In this passage, Jesus shows that true greatness is found in welcoming the “little ones,” embracing believers who aren't just like us, and taking sin seriously.Series Summary: Fast-paced, urgent, and relentlessly focused on Jesus, the Gospel of Mark shows us not just what Jesus said, but what he did. Written for a Roman world hungry for power, Mark introduces a surprising King - one who comes to serve, to suffer, and to give his life for many. Over the coming weeks, we'll walk this road with Jesus, from the wilderness to the cross, discovering how the Servant-King's actions reveal the true good news - and what it means to follow him as disciples who take up our own cross and trust him with our lives.Add St. Marcus as your church on the Church Center App!Fill out our online connection cardHow can we pray for you? In this episode, Lucas Mack sits down with returning guest Brenden Whitney for a deep conversation about faith, truth, and the nature of reality. Brenden shares his personal journey from Mormonism to Christianity and how that transition reshaped his understanding of Jesus, scripture, and spiritual authority. Together, Lucas and Brenden explore why Jesus remains the most influential figure in human history and why that matters in a world filled with competing belief systems. The conversation moves into deeper territory as they discuss sovereignty, free will, and the mystery of whether even darkness and evil ultimately serve a greater divine purpose. Along the way they examine ideas surrounding biblical numerology, the human genetic code, hidden historical narratives, and the possibility that the modern world may function more like a deceptive “matrix” than we realize. Rather than promoting fear, Lucas and Brenden challenge listeners to reject manipulation and rediscover personal freedom through truth, faith, and spiritual hope. This episode invites you to question what you've been told about reality—and to consider the possibility that true liberation begins with seeing clearly. https://www.instagram.com/brenden.whitney/ Thank you for listening – if you're struggling to break free and need support – go to my website and www.lucasmack.com. Are you feeling like the world doesn't feel real right now, like you're looking through "soapy glass"? And the headlines feel impossible to process… yet your heart knows there's a higher way? Michael dives into the spiritual significance of world chaos and shares a simple, repeatable peace attunement + guided peace meditation to help you shift your state (and ripple that peace outward). Michael explains why this moment can feel disconnected, how "old guard vs. old guard" dynamics amplify fear, and, most importantly, how to choose a brighter timeline through your heart, your intention, and what you broadcast into the collective. This isn't about taking sides. This is about ending the cycle and becoming a living transmitter of peace. Key Topics Why the world can feel "foggy" and unreal, and what that may signal energetically. The higher-level lens: how to meet fear without letting it hijack your heart. "Old guard vs. old guard": what's really fighting for control right now. The core practice: "We think war, we send peace" (and why it works). The I AM PEACE attunement you can use anytime anxiety spikes. "You are the creator": the inner realization Michael says ends war consciousness at the root. Turning collective energy into a positive shift, without spiritual bypassing. The "Power of Eight" peace circle approach (inspired by Lynne McTaggart's research). This is a heart-anchoring reset for anyone feeling overwhelmed by the news, conflict, or collective intensity. If you've been searching for a peace meditation, spiritual tools for anxiety relief, or a way to help the world without getting swallowed by fear, Michael gives you a grounded practice you can return to in minutes, again and again. Segment 1 • The Bible is sufficient to build a “theology of eating” even without modern labels like anorexia. • Eating disorders are less “body problems” and more heart + identity problems. • A young woman's, Katie's, diary is introduced to expose what's really driving the struggle. Segment 2 • She admits she “hated God” because she believed a false version of Him. • Todd spotlights how biblical counseling targets wrong theology before behavior change can last. • “Radical amputation” shows up as practical wisdom: removing triggers, not worshiping mirrors. Segment 3 • A “sanctification plan” includes a failure plan so setbacks don't become spiritual collapse. • Katie's progress includes accountability, routines, and letting others into what used to be secret. • The danger of denial: “I don't have a problem” → no safeguards → isolation → despair. Segment 4 • A tiny booklet on “the quest for thinness” reframes eating disorders as God-excluding self-rule. • Todd challenges the secret-keeping and “control language” behind starving, binging, or purging • Practical next steps: confess honestly, learn who God is, ask for help, speak truth, prepare for failure—because you have an Advocate. ___ Thanks for listening! In this episode, Lucas Mack sits down with Robert Toombs, founder of Mountain Readiness and a leading voice in self-reliance and practical preparedness, to explore what it truly means to reclaim sovereignty in an increasingly artificial world.Robert shares his remarkable upbringing — spending his first twenty years living off-grid in the wilderness without modern utilities, where foraging, manual labor, and deep connection with the land formed the foundation of his worldview. Those formative experiences now fuel his mission through Mountain Readiness, where he teaches hands-on skills that help individuals, families, and communities build resilience and real-world capability.Together, Lucas and Robert discuss the relationship between land, body, spirit, and truth — emphasizing physical health, grounded living, and the recovery of ancestral wisdom as pathways back to freedom. This conversation calls us to step out of dependency, reconnect with what is real, and cultivate a life rooted in courage, stewardship, and inner alignment.https://www.mountainreadiness.com/ Thank you for listening – if you're struggling to break free and need support – go to my website and www.lucasmack.com. Why is the Epstein client list still hidden? Why has there been no real justice for Charlie Kirk? And why is America expected to stay tied at the hip with Israel, no matter the cost to our own citizens? And are all of these things somehow connected?Let's break down the layers of corruption, the political cowardice protecting the powerful, and the urgent need for transparency, accountability, and national independence.--https://www.bible.com/

Today we're trashing feminism some more, because it obviously deserves it. Feminism is not only unbiblical, it's extremely destructive for all of society. We'll talk about why Christian podcasters like Allie Beth Stuckey shouldn't defend their feminism while claiming to follow Christ, and why Christianity itself is a patriarchy, by God's design. It's time for biblical men to stop waiting for permission from feminists and take back the authority God gave them. We'll also discuss more of the Trump administration's mistakes, including this ridiculous new 50-year mortgage idea that proves how far from wisdom our leaders have fallen.
A recent caller asked about the allure of the Orthodox Church, with its ancient ceremonies and traditions. Sure, it sounds appealing – who wouldn't want something that feels deeper than the usual Sunday service? But just because something's been around for ages doesn't make it right.Remember the Galatians? They got duped by mixing law and grace, and we wouldn't follow their lead just because they're ancient. The real question is, what have you done with Jesus?Tradition can be seductive, but when it veers from the Gospel taught by the apostles, it's time to run for the hills. Click to watch and explore why the truth of the Gospel is what truly matters – not the age of a movement! We hope you enjoyed this episode. Have you ever felt confused about the Law of Attraction versus the Law of Assumption? Is one better than the other, and which one actually works? In this episode, Gabby demystifies these two powerful spiritual principles. She breaks down how the Law of Attraction, famously taught by Abraham Hicks, is about your energy—your daily vibration and commitment to feeling good. But the Law of Assumption, taught by Neville Goddard, is about your identity—embodying the specific feeling of your wish already fulfilled.Gabby reveals how to use these principles as a perfect spiritual partnership to accelerate your manifesting. Learn how to use one to tend your energetic "soil" and the other to plant the "seed" of your desire. Today we're discussing the debate between feminists and non-feminists, and why I side with the non-feminists for biblical reasons. Just because women can do some of what men do doesn't mean we should. We'll also continue discussing the Charlie Kirk case, Erika Kirk's strange behavior, why being a widow doesn't automatically make you innocent, and why it's deeply concerning that TPUSA refuses to distance itself from Israel, even as Charlie's final words publicly challenged Israel, Judaism, and the control of figures like Ben Shapiro over the conservative movement.

We hear the word “surrender” all the time in spirituality, but what does it actually mean? For most of my life, surrender didn't make sense. My mom fled war in Iran, my dad too, and everything I learned growing up was about fighting for freedom, not giving in. So when people said “just surrender,” I thought it meant giving up. It wasn't until my marriage ended that I learned what real surrender was. I didn't have a choice anymore. I had to trust that Spirit was guiding me somewhere greater, even if I couldn't see where. That moment opened the door to a year of complete flow. I left everything behind, traveled the world with one suitcase, and discovered new archetypes within myself that I never knew existed. But eventually, I realized there's a paradox in all of this. If we only surrender, we can lose direction. If we only control, we block the magic. The truth is, we need both. ✨ In this episode, I explore: What surrender really means and how it shows up in our lives The balance between trusting the universe and taking aligned action The archetypes of “Surrender Sarita” and “Control Candace” How to know when life is asking you to release versus when it's time to focus Why both structure and flow are needed to create your dharma This conversation is a reminder that surrender isn't about giving up. It's about trusting that Spirit may have a bigger plan than the one you made for yourself.
