In this episode, Hackaday editors Elliot Williams and Tom Nardi start off by taking a trip down the Raspberry Pi memory lane and then tackle a fresh pile of listener mail. The discussion moves on to hacking bike counter, homebrew upgrades to the Nintendo Entertainment System, and building RAM from whats in the parts bin. You'll hear about the latest drop-in upgrade for a classic Casio watch, hosting light bulbs that host subversive literature, and loading Wii U games from a weird disk drive from the 1980s. They'll wrap things up with a dive into the evolving portrayals of brilliant rebels in media, and all the things you can do with a cheap router. Check out the links over on Hackaday if you want to follow along, and as always, tell us what you think about this episode in the comments!
Courtney returns to the Kongversation to discuss Donkey Kong 64's arrival on Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Classics! How does it play on the Switch and Switch 2, especially compared with how it performed on the Wii U? And how are we now feeling about the original 3D DK platformer in light of Donkey Kong Bananza?
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Ren Nintendo-magi?

Send us Fan MailIntro; Top 10 Zelda games.
In today's Daily Fix:A Bank of America analyst thinkgs Grand Theft Auto 6 should retail for $80, if only to help justify the high pricepoint for other games. Bank of America's Omar Dessouky thinks other game companies would have a difficult time justifying $80 for games, at a time in the industry where games are struggling to make their development budgets back and a higher pricepoint would help alleviate some of the struggle. In related GTA 6 news, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick commented on why there's no PC port of the game at launch, and it's because their core audience is on console. Like previous GTAs, GTA 6 is expected to come to PC eventually. And finally, former Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime explained what happened with the Wii U, blaming the failure on a slow release schedule of first-party exclusives.

Back on Episode 105 we had a look at party games, and during that episode it was some people's opinion that online games don't count as party games. For a party, you have to all be together and in the same room - so that's just what we did! All 8 founding members of the Beat of the Month crew got together for a full day of gaming, which just so happened to have 8 games. So surely everyone picked a game to play, right? Wrong! Instead this was combined with Brian's deep dive and he chose 8 party games for everyone to play.So what are the games? It's quite the assortment - We've got some Dreamcast games with Power Stone 2 and Chu Chu Rocket. We've got some Switch games with Everybody 1-2 Switch, Nintendo World Championship, and indie gem Hidden In Plain Sight. We've also got an obscure PS1 game called Poy Poy, one of the few Wii U games doomed to never leave the system - Nintendo Land, and then DVD board game turned video game for Xbox 360, Scene It. It was a packed day filled with gaming (and also some wings and donuts to keep our energy levels topped off)! Don't have a group of friends to play party games with? Well come join us for the next 90 minutes and have some fun regardless!
FEATURING: Syrenne joins the two greatest sages in business, the enlighted duo and J and J DreamFactory, to talk about the state of the industry, the attention economy, and just how much of a mess everything is. Special thanks to St. Jodee, St. August, and St. Wyatt for joining me in the outro. Intro was recorded on Shure SM7B dynamic microphone running through a Cloudlifter Preamp for superior sound quality. Outro was recorded on AudioTechnica AT2020 condenser microphone for better ability to pick up sounds further away from the mic (important when capturing four different people standing or sitting varying distances away from it). All were recorded using the Focusrite 4i4 XLR-to-USB audio interface into a mix of Audacity and Ardour in Fedora Linux Pt 2 releases simultaneously to Pt 1.
