Here's what got us asking “what's the plan, Alderaan”. Maybe you've heard it before : “I regret that I am unable to present my father's request to you in person, but my ship has fallen under attack and I'm afraid my mission to bring you to Alderaan has failed. I have placed information vital to the survival of the Rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit. My father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this droid safely delivered to him on Alderaan. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.” Okay but what was the plan here? And then what was the original plan before that plan? Join us as we ask the serious questions about just what was supposed to happen and what if 3PO didn't get in the escape pod AND what if Galen Erso lived? Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHTHE DEAD SPEAK! The opening crawl reveals that a mysterious broadcast has been heard across the galaxy in the voice of the late Emperor Palpatine. BUT HOW?! Leia dispatches agents across the galaxy to gather information on this, while Kylo Ren, now Supreme Leader of the First Order, searches for Palpatine in an effort to eliminate all potential threats to his power.Kylo Ren finds this triangle thing which leads him to a hidden planet where he finds Palpatine, still kicken.  Palpatine unveils a fleet of Star Destroyers and offers it to Kylo if he finds and kills Rey, who is continuing her Jedi training under Leia. During Rey's training, She has a chat with Kylo Ren through their Force bond—brief flashes of the past—and accidentally crushes BB-8 during training. I was so mad at her for hurting sweet BB-8.Poe announces to the Resistance that Palpatine is alive and plans to unleash his fleet. To stop him, they need the Sith Finder which Rey believes to be on a planet called Pasanna.The. crew lands during a sick dance party. Rey meets a local who gives her a necklace—through their Force bond, Kylo take it from her and determines her location. Rey is soon approached by Leia's contact—Lando Calrissian. He explains that he and Luke once searched for a Sith hunter named Ochi, who may have held the key to finding the Wayfinder. They found his ship, but no trace of him.Stormtroopers arrive, and the heroes flee into the desert, falling into quicksand that leads to an underground cave. There, they find a Sith dagger inscribed with a clue. Unfortunately, C-3PO's programming prevents him from translating Sith text.Rey senses Kylo approaching and confronts him while the others prepare for takeoff. She brings down Kylo's ship but is shocked to see Chewie captured. As she and Kylo both use the Force to stop a transport from leaving, Rey loses control and unleashes Force lightning—destroying the ship and, seemingly, killing Chewie.Don't worry - Chewie is fine. He was on a different ship and they're going to hold him captive.Poe takes the gang to see an old friend, Zorii Bliss. She takes them to a tiny little fella who can bypass 3PO's programming so that 3P0 will finally translate the Sith text, but will also erase his memory. Suddenly, the First Order arrives, having tracked the group. Rey senses that Chewie is alive on their Star Destroyer—they realize he must have been on a different transport. The crew sneaks onto the ship. While Finn and Poe are captured, Rey goes to  retrieves the dagger, has a force battle with Kylo, and has a vision of the emporer killing her parents, who were hiding her to protect her. Kylo tells her it's because she's a Palpatine. The captives are about to be executed—but General Hux intervenes, revealing himself as the spy. He helps them escape, explaining he doesn't care who wins, as long as Kylo loses. Rey refuses to join Kylo Ren in destroying Palpatine and the crew escapes with Chewie and the Falcon. Hux is immediately killed for being a spy. The team heads to where the Death Star wreckage lies. They meet Jannah, a former stormtrooper who, like Finn, escaped the First Order. Rey finds the Wayfinder—but experiences a dark vision of herself as a Sith Vampire combo package. Kylo shows up and they begin to fight. Suddenly, Kylo gets a vision of his mom, Leia, taking her last breath. He drops his lightsaber which Rey catches and uses to stab him. But then when she feels like Leia is dead, she heals Kylo so he can mourn without pain:? idk man. Kylo has a vision of his father who encourages him to return to the light. Kylo throws his lightsaber into the water. Poe is named General and doubts his ability to lead. Lando comes outta nowhere to give him a pep talk. Intending to exile herself like Luke, Rey tries to destroy her lightsaber, but Luke's Force ghost appears. He tells her that Leia knew all along who she was and still believed in her. He gives her Leia's saber and helps her retrieve the Wayfinder from Kylo's ship. Rey pilots Luke's old ship. With a signal from Luke's ship coming through, the Resistance prepares for battle. Poe and Finn lead the attack, on horse back cuz duh. Rey shows up to confronts Palpatine. Dude is pumped to see his granddaughter. He says he doesn't want to kill her, rather he wants her to kill him so his spirit will enter her and they can lead together. Kylo shows up and they fight together, sharing Leia's saber through the Force. Papetine enjoys the show and then uses his lightning fingers on both of them which is like draining their power. The Resistance attacks Palpatine's fleet, but they're outmatched. Just as hope fades, Lando arrives with a massive fleet from across the galaxy. As Rey lies on the ground, she hears the voices of past Jedi who encourage her to get up! She confronts Palpatine again, deflecting his lightning with both Luke and Leia's sabers. As he declares “I am all the Sith,” Rey responds, “And I... am all the Jedi,” and destroys him. She's on the verge of death from the blast, but Kylo climbs out of the pit he was throw in and revives her with his own life force. They kiss BIG ONESSSS! But then he dies. Womp Womp. The Resistance destroys the Sith fleet. And the heroes reunite and celebrate the win. The movie ends with Rey and BB8 take the Falcon to Tatooine. She buries the Skywalker lightsabers there and shows that i guess she has her own yellow one now. When a local asks who she is, she says Rey. Follow up Q for you - Rey who? She ponders the answer until she sees the ghost of Luke and Leia smiling at her and she says Rey Skywalker as she and BB9 watch the twin suns.

The Mandalorian Season 2, Chapter 9, the Marshall, has tons of Easter eggs and things missed in this one that I can't wait to explain to the best of my abilities. We start with Mando on Nevarro 7, I think, as he walks through a grungy spray painted place, now on the walls there's tons of cool stuff. We see a BX-Battle Droid, what looks like Vader, we see Grievous, We se snow troopers, what looks like c-3PO but what could be a CZ3 droid, but even that I don't think it is. Right here we see Chewie and the giant worm thing, there we see Vader, honestly I could keep going on these spray painted walls which I might in another video, but for now, let's move on. Wampa, Watto, maybe. Mando has a run in with Gor Koresh at this gladiator style event where Gamorreans fight each other, they're actually slaves with owners. Got Karesh plays it like he'll tell Mando where to find more Mandos so that Baby Yoda can be reunited with its kind, until he turns on him and a brawl breaks out. Some Zabraks fight Mando, who were the species Maul was, until Mando pulls out his vibro blade which I've done a full video on by itself. Mando takes em down and leaves Gor Karesh to be eaten by some Hounds, Flying to Tatooine, he meets up with Cobb Vanth, who is wearing Boba Fett's armor. How could this be? Boba Fett died to the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi, right? Could he be alive, still? Mando and Cobb team up with Tusken Raiders to take down the Krayt Dragon and in doing so, Cobb vows to give Mando the Boba armor. The Dragon is defeated, and the Tuskens find a pearl within the Dragon. This was directly taken out of KOTOR. As The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda speed into the twin suns of Tatooine, a mysterious man is looming from afar, watching their every move... BOBA FETT! HE LIVES! Learn more about your ad choices. Chapter 14 of Star Wars: Heir to the Empire (1991) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarGrand Admiral Thrawn is leading the Imperial remnants from the shadows in a grand plan to destroy the New Republic and re-establish the Galactic Empire. He commands a raid on the Athega System just as Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa-Solo, Han Solo, and Chewbacca arrive looking to garner help from Lando Calrissian. During the skirmish, the imperials make away with mining equipment and the Dark Jedi clone commanding Thrawn's fleet, Jaruus C'baoth, takes the opportunity to make contact with Luke. Thrawn is none too pleased to learn of this contact and plots with Captain Pallaeon to disillusion C'baoth of his self-importance and impetuousness. Chapter 14Lando is distraught at the loss of half his workforce — 51 mole miners stolen — in the raid! Han and Leia ask for help, and a plan is devised to send Leia to Kashyyyk with Chewbacca while Han and Lando broadcast decoy signals giving the illusion that Leia is still on the run. In order to achieve this, in a violation of his programming, C-3PO has his voice altered to perfectly imitate Leia's. Luke shares his findings from Dagobah; what Lando identifies as a Beckon Call — a device that summons a slave-ciruit-rigged ship at a moment's notice. He later confides in Leia his true reason for searching that specific location and tells her about the contact he had during the space battle earlier. She divulges the rumour of a Master C'baoth on Jormark, and while they suspect a trap, Luke is eager at what the opportunity could mean. LinksRatatouille (2007) - IMDbKirby Series Explained (in 6 minutes)Pokémon: The First Movie - Mewtwo Strikes Back (1998) - IMDbGeorge Lucas' Theory About the Narrator (Gizmodo)Tricking HK-50 to violate his supposed ethics programming in KOTOR 2 Let's PlaySith (Etymology) - Wikipedia Share and SupportShare this episode (cross platform link)Discuss this chapter on Discord, YouTube, or RedditSupport us on PatreonOur WebsiteRelease DocumentTranscriptHosts' ThoughtsLando: "respectable"Lando has experience using the calling beacon to fight though hostilesAlternate history of the Clone Wars: Dark Jedi clones?Vader being called a Dark JediStuart's speculation in chapter 9 confirmedFINALLY LANDO IN THE FLESHHan doesn't seem to mind Lando's behavior towards LeiaMr. Why-Is-He-In-This-StoryOH MY GOD CHEWIE ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTED SOMETHINGWaiting to leave gives Thrawn time to drop probesNobody ever respects 3PO's boundariesA2 has PTSDA jedi being wrong? Mercy Mission Synopsis:Radio Announcer: Tragedy has struck Aleen. On the way down to the planet the clones see an Aleena riding a giant insect thing and says ‘Great, it's going to be another one of those planets' in case you'd forgotten that teenage boys are the absolute worst.  The design of the Aleena suggests that Brian Froud has snuck into Lucasfilm; let's see if we get a darkly whimsical fairytale allegory that will give kids nightmares.  Or even David Bowie's crotch (fingers crossed!).  3PO promptly falls down the hole and R2, who is always down for a weird LSD trip, is right behind him.  They start walking and are immediately swarmed by faeries.  They enter a subterranean world that immediately references Dagobah.  Revelation here we come.  3PO and R2 meet the Kindaloo, who look like an Ent and a Landstrider got lost in a Piers Anthony novel.   The Kindaloo see a potential solution in 3PO and send him to see Orphne.  The faeries coalesce into Orphne who promptly tastes 3PO in case you didn't know which kind of faerie queen we were dealing with.  Orphne says that 3PO will do what he is meant to do and gives a riddle.  Fortunately 3PO's speciality is riddles and Never Ending Story references, so he gets to work.  R2, who is basically Puck, gets there first and pees on the right floor symbol and unlocks a water elevator into a flower and 3PO and R2 are spit back onto the surface.  Underground vapors remember that they exist and commence to poison the Aleena.  R2 and 3PO, because they don't breathe, are able to seal the breach and bring peace back to Aleen.  A small Aleena does what we all wanted to do as kids and hugs R2 in thanks.  The clones are still being giant wangs.  The end.Nomad Droids Synopsis:We open on 3PO Spacetiming (™) with Padme to tell her of their adventures.  The cruiser gets attacked by Grievous.  R2 and 3PO “commandeer” a Y-wing and the two end up crashing on a nearby planet.  The locals attack, but they're only about 6” tall.  The Lilliputians proceed to pull a Gulliver's Travels on the two droids.  While bumping proverbial chests with the king, R2 is knocked over by 3PO and crushes him to death…   3PO decides to instill democracy upon them, but that quickly descends into voter fraud (no joke). The droids leave the planet on their newly repaired Y-wing, but don't have enough power, so they land on another nearby planet.  They're brought to this planet's leader, some repair droids doing a great and powerful OZ impression.  The locals revolt and destroy the hologram and lightning producing machine, causing R2 and 3PO to wander away as their power reserves fall to zero.   The clones and Jedi run across the pair.  We end the episode with 3PO telling their story to a captive and unwilling audience in Commander Wolffe. The Clone Wars: Season 4 Episodes 5 and 6: https://www.disneyplus.com/video/1d717a67-fdce-4404-aed6-3cca361e0946https://twitter.com/ClosingCrawlhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/closing-crawl/id1530133296https://www.closingcrawl.com/On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz9X-57K6-VV_GkUBaqvyeAMerch: https://bit.ly/spacetimetm

You may say it's crazy, you many say that it's silly to take a Disney kids show about the Star Wars universe seriously, but Brennan has been preaching the gospel of Star Wars Rebels for years, and for his birthday podcast, by the Force, he's going to make Erin and Matt watch it too. And quelle surpise, HE WAS RIGHT!!! Erin and Matt, lowly padawans, turn to Brennan, a Jedi Freakin' Master (JFM for short), to instruct them in the ways of Star Wars multimedia. We talk about Ahsoka, Darth Vader, 3PO terribly misreading situations, and LANDO "Smooth Criminal" CALRISSIAN. Erin and Matt put Brennan on trial for not seeing "She's All That," but have no fear dear Void, Brennan has aces up his sleeve! Erin has some Buffy stuff to say, Matt shares some Clone Wars know-how, and together they form the two pieces of Darth Maul, but who pray tell are the robo-legs? In the end, Brennan was right and we agree on three key points: props to casting for getting so many original cast members to join in cameo roles, props for getting the best actors around for key characters, and props for telling a story off of the main saga for fans to explore new corners of the galaxy. Do I feel cold? No, I have a blanket.May the Force be with you.Happy Birthday Brennan

We start out the conversation by talking about the surprise trailer for Top Gun: Maverick that Tom Cruise dropped at an appearance at San Diego Comic Con a few weeks ago. This leads into a great discussion about how our movies are being affected by co-funding from China. Top Gun: Maverick (Official Trailer)0:08:56The Cantina (Star Wars News/General Discussion): Jon Favreau has confirmed that he has begun writing Season 2 of the as-yet-to-be-released The Mandalorian. We discuss what this means in regard to his attitude, as well as the confidence and excitement that Disney, Lucasfilm, and Jon have toward this exciting new show.Next we talk about a new comic series that is going to be released in December before The Rise of Skywalker. It will be titled, The Rise of Kylo Ren. The question is at what point in Kylo's life does it take place? Some theorize that The Rise of Skywalker is....Anakin! We talk at great length about this and other theories that have come up recently.0:24:42Duel of the Fates (Face Off Questions):Obi-Wan/Anakin vs. Yoda/Palpatine-----which was the most anticipated lightsaber duel, and which duel was better? This is a difficult one to answer, but we dive deep into these two epic lightsaber duels, and answer which was the most anticipated------which is easy, because it's objective, and then we go into which was actually better. 0:35:55From a Certain Point of View (Featured Topic):Is R2-D2 going to make a return in The Rise of Skywalker, or are he and C3PO done? This is difficult, because while the sequel trilogy has featured both droids in various capacities, they have not enjoyed the front-and-center role they had in both the prequels, and original trilogy. Is it time to pass the torch to the new droids, or because the saga is ending will we see more prominent roles for not only Artoo, but 3PO as well.0:44:32Clear Your Mind of Questions (Q and A): I’m fairly new to Star Wars so I hope this isn’t a dumb question but what is the purpose between a Saga and a SW Story?--- Submitted by Rachel Madee What makes a person as powerful as Kylo and Vader not be able to fully go over to the dark side like Palpatine, everybody is trying to save those two but why not try to bring Palpatine to the Light? --- Submitted by Bennet Freeman NOTE: Next week we will be reviewing the book, Master and Apprentice (Claudia Gray). There's still time to read the book, and join in on the discussion. You can purchase the book from our Amazon Affiliate link HERE.

We stopped by the Star Wars Show stage and Cameron took our picture, as you can see here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BwNZbZqAnv1/Then we witnessed The Running of the Hoods, which is delightfully bizarre. Check out the videos on our Twitter feed here: https://twitter.com/ForceChildren/status/1117291095543701505Then we went to the Sisters of the Force panel on the Celebration stage, which was a great conversation full of appreciation and tears. The energy in that stadium was so amazing. And we ended the day with A Star Wars Let’s Play, the video game panel. Which was so funny my face was sore at the end of it. I wish I would have taken video of this panel. Alas...But actually, we ended the day with the Podcast Meetup at the hotel bar. It was a blast. So fun to meet some of our fellow podcasters. SUNDAY [34:50]We went to the Mandalorian panel on the Celebration stage. It was awesome and we’ll talk more about it on an upcoming show! (It's hard to see, but there are ton of Mandalorian Mercs right in the middle of that photo holding up their helmets.)EK Johnston signed a couple books and we had a great conversation with her about Crokinole. Then we met Andi Gutierrez and Anthony Carboni and Scott Bromley!   I got Anthony Daniels autograph on my 1977 trading card of 3PO! And he held the action figure I’ve owned nearly my entire life! Then we went to the Clone Wars panel, which was awesome! You can watch it here (including the clips from upcoming episodes and the trailer for the new season!):https://youtu.be/I0XlB2EJZuA?t=10We ended the day with laughter again at the Anthony Daniels one-man show. Which included us all singing along to this video of 3PO on Sesame Street: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDRlZHn_oPEMONDAY [54:00]We went to the Celebration Store, which was pretty cool. The kids got this photo with a Loth Wolf: We saw the awe-inspiring completed diorama. Met Ryan and Dillon from the Me and My Padawan podcast. We ran into the Geeky Bubble crew! And we got Peter Mayhew’s autograph on my 1977 trading card of Chewbacca!FINAL THOUGHTS ABOUT CELEBRATION [1:16:35]OUTRO [1:20:10]Thanks for listening! This week, Brian and Kirstie are breaking it down for you with Star Wars news, new canon, and we're answering YOUR mailbag questions. News -The death of Gary Kurtz -New "Resistance" trailer -"Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series" Episode I trailer Upcoming Canon This Week: -Marvel's "Star Wars" #55 -IDW's "Star Wars Adventures: Tales From Vader's Castle" #1 Mailbag Questions 1.) Joey Metzner - Why do you think Obi-Wan'w lightsaber didn't change at all between episodes 1 and 2, even though he lost it in TPM? Is there a canon explanation to this? Also, I know they were trying to make Anakin's lightsaber in episode 3 match the one from ANH, but several of the details were different. Why do you think that is? 2.) Sara McCoy - First I love you guys and your podcast. You're the only ones doing anything like this about canon and it's great! Keep it up. I know you guys said before TLJ might have worked better as a novel after reading the expanded edition. Do you feel the same about Solo? 3.) Craig Winsarr - When do you think we'll get the title for episode 9 and the first trailer? Which will come first in your opinion? 4.) Jenny Matthews - I just listened to this week's episode of your podcast and it was the first I've heard of it. i love you guys. It's always neat when a couple (you are a couple, right?) finds something cool like this to do together. I laughed so hard at your story about the c-3PO action figure. My boyfriend and I are the same way. My question is, did you both love Star Wars when you met, or was it something that was introduced to one of you afterwards by the other? 5.) Sean Winnings - Loving the podcast, Brian. Keep it up. I have a question about your collecting habits. I've heard you say that you're a Black Series collector, but is that all? I've been collecting Star Wars toys my whole life and have a huge collection. I was wondering if you did too. Also, I was hoping you could give some advice to an up and coming podcaster. How did you start and what all is involved in getting your show out there to everyone? What kind of equipment do you use? Thank you in advance for taking my question! We may not have an R2 and 3PO, but we do have hosts Mendte, Features, and Baby Huey. That should be enough... fingers crossed. We've had him running into the premiere almost every year, we didn't have him running in this year, but we have him running in the hundredth episode." Dinah Laurel Lance - Full-naming your fiancee while doing cutesy talk isn't entirely unheard-of, but here it's a nice little reminder that, yes, Laurel is actually Dinah Lance from the comics, the longtime Justice League and Birds of Prey member known as the Black Canary. Laurel's necklace is the Black Canary logo from the comics Oliver and Company - The reference, in case you missed it the first hundred times we used it or when Cisco explained it this week, is to a Disney animated film from the '80s. It was a musical comedy about a group of streetwise dogs who take in a small, orange cat, in which the soundtrack was primarily driven by Billy Joel, whose biggest fan is probably Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim. Per Guggenheim, he made the Oliver and Company joke in the script, but it was actor Carlos Valdes who added the Billy Joel nod. The Hozen - In the pilot, Oliver gave Thea a Hōzen (宝箭) -- an arrowhead-shaped stone he found around the neck of a dead Japanese soldier on Lian Yu. In the pilot, he told her -- as she tells him this week -- that in Japanese Buddhism, the hōzen symbolizes reconnecting. Palmer's Buyout Offer - The Palmer Technologies buyout of Queen Consolidated came in season 3 of the TV show, but apparently here, Palmer was hovering around Queen as soon as he heard Robert Queen was thinking of stepping down. Van Horn Industries - Van Horn Industries is the name of a company owned by the family of Andrew Van Horn, a superhero known as Gunfire. Gunfire was created during the Bloodlines attack, a '90s attempt to create a bunch of new superheroes by giving them a common starting point: an alien invasion where some of the victims of parasitic, cannibalistic aliens survived and gained powers. Hood Sketch - Along with Diggle under the hood, we get a look at the original Hood sketch and newspaper clippings that made up part of the Starling City Police Department's Rip Hunter-style chalkboard looking for the Arrow in season 1. MY NAME IS OLIVER QUEEN - When Oliver starts to introduce himself, he goes with "My name is Oliver Queen," just like he does in the voice over at the start of nearly every episode. Felicity hilariously cuts him off with "everyone knows who you are." Which serves the story -- he's a famous, wealthy socialite -- and the meta-text of the episode. CHICAGO MED - That roundabout thing about how Tommy is a doctor in Chicago now, and he just couldn't break away from his long shifts to come visit for the wedding? That's a whole lot of meta, talking about actor Colin Donnell, who played Tommy in season 1 and has periodically come back in flashbacks and other such stories. Donnell couldn't come for the hundredth episode because he's now a regular on Chicago Med, which is in production and couldn't spare him. THE PATH NOT TAKEN - This story seem familiar? Like last year's Supergirl episode "For the Girl Who Has Everything," or the "Flashpoint" episode of The Flash? What about "Perchance to Dream" from Batman: The Animated Series? THE FERN - It came back! Was seen when Ollie enters Diggle's Arrowcave ARROW NEWS: Heroes & Villains Fan Fest: Arrow Cast Panel Recap (Date: 19 Nov 2016) Highlights from the Arrow panel include: David Ramsey thankful he has a new helmet, Willa Holland misses wearing the Speedy outfit, and John Jr. is suppose to tie into the Conner Hawke storyline. One of the things that I'm learning now as someone that has a big responsibility at the head of a television show and has some business interests and is a husband and a father– priorities not being in that order — I don't want to stretch myself too thin, and I wouldn't want to do something if I couldn't put my heart and soul into it.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/stephen-amell-has-been-in-contact-with-american-ninja-warrior/?utm_source=CBR-TW&utm_medium=Social-Distribution&utm_campaign=CBR-TW&view=list   ARROW & PROMETHEUS HAVE AN EXPLOSIVE CONFRONTATION IN NEW PHOTOS (Date: 23 Nov 2016) Team “Arrow” is in deep trouble. In “What We Leave Behind,” the episode following the “Invasion!” crossover, Oliver discovers that Prometheus knows his and his fellow vigilantes' secret identities. What follows is an explosive confrontation between Green Arrow and his mysterious foe. The photos below show Green Arrow and Prometheus coming to blows, but Oliver is not alone. He has a little help from Spartan and Wild Dog, and it looks like they're going to fight fire with fire. (Date: 29 Nov 2016) In the photo gallery above right, Marc Guggenheim shares favorite memories and musings from the past 100 episodes — Which casting was a “happy accident”? Guggenheim admits to having some regrets: “The truth is, I don't think I've ever been involved with an hour of television on any show where there hasn't been something I wanted to take back,” he says. “Doing 23 episodes a year, you're just constantly running, so nothing ever turns out exactly the way you want it to. In other words, my list of regrets is actually incredibly long; it's 100 episodes long. I'd say probably my biggest regret is I wish we had allowed the Oliver-Felicity storyline in season 4 to unfold at a more natural pace. We had set these tentpoles at the beginning of the season, and we were a bit too rigorous on how we hit them. That was a case where the planning overtook the storytelling. We didn't do things as naturally and as elegantly as we should have.” Link:http://www.ew.com/article/2016/11/29/arrow-100-episode-spoilers   ‘Arrow' EP Marc Guggenheim On Tonight's 100th Episode, CW's Mega-Crossover & What's Next (Date: 30 Nov 2016) Reflecting on Arrow's future and past, as well as the labyrinth and rewards of the multi-show saga, Guggenheim spoke with Deadline about how “Invasion” came together as a crossover and a stand-alone episode of the Vancouver-filmed show. The EP, who developed the show with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, also hinted at where things could go next for the archer and his team as Arrow heads towards next week's Season 5 winter finale, who we may see more of from the show's past, and what the next crossover could be like. The episode drew in 86% more viewers ages 18-49 than it did on November 16. The episode was a tenth down from last year's superhero crossover special, but its viewership was still impressive. More than 3.52 million people watched the episode. In the interview, when asked about Lillian's means justifying the end, she said, “That is such a great moral question. Everybody could ask themselves that and come up with a whole slew of different answers. It just goes back to the question of, when is it right to do the wrong thing? That opens up a whole can of worms about good and evil, black and white. Where's the gray? Ultimately, she isn't crazy, but she's definitely committed to the end. It does justify the means for her. Obviously, she's been willing to sacrifice any kind of personal relationships with this single-minded focus. There are costs for this character to achieve her commitment.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/brenda-strong-talks-supergirl/   SUPERGIRL: MEHCAD BROOKS COMPARES JAMES OLSEN'S GUARDIAN TO BATMAN (Date: 28 Nov 2016) During a recent set visit, Brooks told CBR and other reporters that James' CatCo position has made him more like the Dark Knight. “I kind of liken it to Bruce Wayne, running an enterprise during the day and then at night putting on the sleek black suit and your costume,” he explained. “James in the DC Universe has seen examples of it before, right? He's never had to do it himself. Yeah, I think he was ready for both of those responsibilities anyway, so now he's handling it well, but at first not so much.” He also discusses the suit, why James is reluctant to tell Kara, and why he thinks Superman would approve. The episode, titled “Medusa,” scored a solid 1.1 rating in the core 18-49 demographic, and was watched by 3.51 million viewers in total. That an uptick from last week's episode of Supergirl that puts the ratings for “Medusa” on par with the second season premiere of Supergirl. The phase-shifting Kitty Pryde at long-last will become an X-Men team leader, whose squad includes Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Old Man Logan, and Rachel Grey. “Kitty is the right person to bring the X-Men into the future, to herald in the next era of the X-Men,” Guggenheim told us in a phone interview. “We are post the war with the Inhumans. The X-Men are sort of at a crossroads. They're at a point where they are trying to decide, is there a future for the X-Men? It's episode #37 of Children of the Force! Join us, and together we will rule the galaxy as father and son and daughter and listener.... As always, check out the show guide on our website where we have photos and links to go along with this episode: https://childrenoftheforce.com/2016/05/22/episode-37-to-infinity-and/. Get over there! STAR WARSY STUFF [2:05] We’ve been listening to Jabba Flow quite a bit. I’ve even inserted it into my TFA soundtrack right between “The Rathtars” and “Finn’s Confession.” Not Star Warsy, but we’ve been slowly watching the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. The kids dig it. NEWS [7:10] Alden Ehrenreich is reported to be the next Han Solo! The kids are a little worried, and really, who isn’t?  The Darth Vader comic is ending with issue #25 in August. I give that a big shoulder shrug and hope it means another comic will be cancelled soon, horrible as that sounds.  Disney infinity is also ending. Again, not a big deal to us, even though we have Infinity. One word reason for that: Battlefront. And rest assured, we'll talk about the news that Battlefront is getting a sequel in the next episode. There was just too much stuff to talk about this time around.  The kids have no idea what Freemakers means. I rectify that. CANON NEWS [26:40]   The canon news comes from the book Bloodline and contains minor spoilers for the book. So I’m not going to write about it here. JOKE(s) [35:05]   Jokes this week are from twoof Liam’s classmates and, you guess it, Chris from Star Wars Kidscast! -What did BB-8 say to R2-D2 on Valentine’s Day? -Which Star Wars character loves to shop? -Where to Kanjiklub like to surf and swim? -What is Kanjiklub’s favorite fruit flavor?   REVIEW [38:20]   This week we review theC-3PO comic … finally. We also discuss that fact that this Lego short picks up where the 3PO comic leaves off. Which is sort of weird and makes me think there’s some … canonosity? …to the Lego stuff.   Q&A COUNCIL [47:55]   The kids’ classmates knock the Q&ACouncil out of the park this week!   -What, in your opinion, is the mostdevastating moment in all seven Star Wars movies? -What do you think Episode VIII and Episode IX will be named? -If you could make any Star Wars movie, what would the name be and what would it be about? Also, Chris from Star Wars Kidscast answers our question from a couple episodes ago about what weird thing we want to see in Episode VIII! SHOUTOUTS [1:05:35] Shout-out to 501stCentral Garrison member TK-11468, Mr. Jesse Edberg. Shout-out to comic artist Michael Walsh, who I also ran into at my brother’swedding.  Shout-out to The Younglings Podcast, which is back for its second season! Check them out over at www.theyounglingspodcast.com  OUTRO [1:10:00] Thanksfor listening! During this holiday season we spend time with our friends and family, celebrate religious events, and or look forward to a certain jolly elf to bring us gifts (no, not Brenlo :p). There's one other thing needed to really put you in the holiday spirit... The "Yivvits & MrBubble Holiday Extravaganza 2006" podcast! This year we revisit our favorite (and only) Star Wars Christmas album. Listen along as 3PO teaches R2 how to sing, the workshop droids finally figure out what to get a Wookiee for Christmas, and 3PO performs a thoughtful reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Most large companies have some sort of holiday gathering and we assumed SOE is no different. Our assumptions were confirmed when we obtained a super top-secret recording from the event. Smed and Helios exchanged "Secret Santa" gifts; need we say more? We sum up our personal feelings about SWG for 2006 and discuss what we'd like to see happen with the game in the coming year. Finally, we exchange gifts and are humored (or possibly horrified) that we both got each other... Nah, you'll just have to listen to find out! Happy Holidays,Yivvits & MrBubble
