Rhode Island's multi-platinum John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band, will be celebrating 50+ years in the business with the release of "Sound of Waves," a new 13 song album, their first in 37 years. In 1982, John Cafferty was commissioned to write and perform the soundtrack for a film that turned out to be "Eddie and the Cruisers,' a rock cult classic with a triple platinum soundtrack. Cafferty's soulful, raspy voice propelled the movie's theme "On the Dark Side" to # 1 on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts, while the movie's second hit "Tender Years" rose into the Top 10 of the Billboard AC charts. Today John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band continue to tour around the world. That tour will bring them to NYC for an album release concert at the Cutting Room on Thursday, April 10th, the same date as the album release, from Moonstone Music. According to Cafferty, the new album almost didn't happen. After almost four decades of not writing and recording new music, he was encouraged by Bruce Springsteen to do it again. Over the years, Cafferty and company have jammed on stage with many of the greats of rock and roll, including Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Dion, and opened on tour with the Beach Boys, Foreigner, and Bryan Adams. Starting May 28th, Cafferty joins Rick Springfield on his "I Want My 80s Tour" for selected dates, along with John Waite and Wang Chung."The 'Sound of Waves' album is a celebration of a lifetime legacy as musicians and 50+ years as a band. The songs are newly written with a respectful reflection of colors from an era of music's diverse history and the precious life moments and loving relationships that have served as our hearts' inspiration," said Cafferty. The title track from the group's 1985 album, "Tough All Over" became their second # 1 on the Billboard Rock Charts and the song "C-I-T-Y" reached the Billboard Top 20. Over the years, John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures. They included Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky "IV," and "Cobra." The Farrelly Brothers hit films "There's Something About Mary" and "Dumb and Dumber Too," & Eddie and the Cruisers I and II. The lead single from the group's upcoming album is "Day In the Sun," which was spotlighted in Peter Farrelly's film "Rick Stanicky." Here's a video link of a live performance: Https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1xHCR8BDus All songs on the new release were written by Cafferty. The Rhode Island rockers put out their first "Greatest Hits" album in 2022 on Iconoclassic Records. In addition to band founder Cafferty, two original members remain in the group. They are guitarist Gary Gramolini and saxophonist Michael "Tunes" Antunes. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

Iconoclassic Records is headed to the "Dark Side" with the first-ever anthology from the real-life band behind Hollywood's Eddie and The Cruisers: John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band. On September 30, the label released Greatest Hits, a freshly remastered 16-track collection from the rock-and-roll revivalists whose "On the Dark Side" reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984 and spent five weeks atop the Mainstream Rock chart and the MTV video charts. Singer-guitarist Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band (including Gary Gramolini on lead guitar, Pat Lupo on bass, Kenny Jo Silva on drums, Bobby Cotoia on keyboards, and Michael Antunes on saxophone) had been playing up a storm in their native Rhode Island as well as up and down the Northeast Corridor - Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey - throughout the 1970s and early 1980s when producer Kenny Vance offered them an enticing proposition. Music biz veteran Vance was a founding member of Jay and the Americans and an instrumental figure in the discovery of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, a.k.a. Steely Dan. He was looking for a band to craft the music for the eponymous fictional band in the movie Eddie and The Cruisers, and Cafferty's high-energy bar band fit the bill perfectly.

Just a few months ago, master of comedy James S. Murray-known to fans as "Murr"-starred in IMPRACTICAL JOKERS: THE MOVIE, which ended its second weekend in wide release with a total of over $11 million, and celebrated the highest per-screen average among major releases. Murr is also known for his hysterical comedy work in truTV's immensely popular Impractical Jokers program, holding strong as the #1 unscripted comedy on television; the first 4 seasons of Impractical Jokers will also be released on HBO Max, launching May 27th. Murr is also proud to be starring in TBS's hilarious show The Misery Index, which recently kicked off its second season, and "Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party," a brand new show on truTV where the Tenderloins bring their signature quirky humor to quarantine, which premiered May 21st. In addition to his film and TV work, Murr is back with OBLITERATION (Harper Voyager; June 23, 2020), the third chilling installment in the international bestselling Awakened series he has written with celebrated science fiction author Darren Wearmouth. Asked how he got into writing this exciting series of novels, Murr says it was the culmination of a lifelong passion. "I've been a huge fan of science fiction and horror my entire life, and AWAKENED draws inspiration from movies that scared the hell out of me like Alien, The Thing, Event Horizon, and The Descent. When I wrote the thriller, I wanted it to feel like an edge of your seat TV show or movie. It took over a year to finish and thirteen years to get published, and I've never been more passionate about a project in my life!" The resulting novel, Awakened, exploded onto the scene. The terrifying premise: a new subway line, desperately needed in New York City was finally unveiled.but the excavation unleashed a scourge of murderous beasts. Last year, the duo followed up with the blockbuster The Brink, which followed former NYC Mayor Tom Cafferty as he fought the demons of that fateful day when the Z-train subway unveiling became a massacre-as well as the subterranean creatures that were spreading across the globe. Cafferty took on Albert Van Ness, mastermind behind an insidious corporation that controlled the world from the shadows by harnessing the bloodthirsty monsters. The end of The Brink sees Van Ness imprisoned for his crimes, thanks to Cafferty, ex-NYPD officer Sarah Bowcut, and tech-expert Diego Munoz. This summer Murr and Wearmouth return with OBLITERATION, a crescendo of creature horror and fast-paced thrills that ramps up the tension and terror higher than ever before!

Tim Cafferty of Outer Banks Blue Realty in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina is one of the most admired and respected professional managers in the world. He is a paragon of professionalism and hospitality as a whole. Tim’s region is something of a mecca for short term rentals in the USA, but when Tim started the business, he wasn’t expecting his business to take off the way it did. Many years ago, I had only heard rumblings this guy Tim Cafferty who was conducting the equivalent of a vacation rental orchestra of the Fortune 5000 caliber. Then I began to listen to his podcast Sarah and T, and you start to get an idea. But when I finally met him in person, it suddenly all made sense. Tim’s stand-up personality and emphasis on relationships are quintessentially “all of us” -- Tim is the hospitality professional we all aspire to be. I had the chance to nab Tim for an interview during the VRMA International conference and his personal story is one that will motivate you to plan for your challenges, channel your inner entrepreneur, and soar. Reader's Entertainment Radio welcomes NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Heather Graham to the show on Thursday, March 26th at 6pm EST! With over one hundred and fifty books and novellas to her credit, her latest novel, The Dead Play On, continues the tradition of excellence for which Heather Graham is well known! Book Blurb: Play a song for me… Musicians are being murdered in New Orleans. But Arnie Watson apparently died by his own hand. When Tyler Anderson plays the saxophone he inherited from Arnie, a soldier and musician who died soon after his return, he believes he sees visions of his friend's life—and death. He becomes convinced Arnie was murdered and that the instrument had something to do with whatever happened, and with whatever's happening all over the city… Tyler knows his theory sounds crazy to the police, so he approaches Danni Cafferty, hoping she and Michael Quinn will find out what the cops couldn't. Or wouldn't. After all, Cafferty and Quinn have become famous for solving unusual crimes. They're partners in their personal lives, too. Quinn's a private investigator and Danni works with him. When they look into the case, they discover a secret lover of Arnie's and a history of jealousies and old hatreds that leads them back to the band Arnie once played with—and Tyler plays with now. They discover that sometimes, for some people, the line between passion and obsession is hard to draw. Only in uncovering the truth can they hope to save others—and themselves—from the deadly hands of a killer.
