Todd McMurtry was a lawyer, but he had never practiced defamation law before legacy media outlets demonized 16-year-old Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann for the crime of "smirking" while wearing a Make America Great Again hat. Now, McMurtry has published a book about defamation law—a book he recommends as a kind of "car insurance" for cancel culture. "I think that you should treat it like buying car insurance," McMurtry tells "The Daily Signal Podcast" of his new book, "Dismissed: How Media Agendas and Judicial Bias Conspire to Undermine Justice." He warns that most Americans with a traditional values approach to life should expect to face attempts to "cancel" them. He notes that smear campaigns happen to "everybody," from high school students to college athletes to professionals to housewives. "I've dealt with dozens and dozens of these people, and it happens all the time." McMurtry warns that Christians and others who support traditional values face an increasingly hostile culture, from the LGBTQ movement to the movement for "diversity, equity, and inclusion" or DEI. Leftists used their favorite tactics for silencing those who won't kowtow to their perverse, deceitful, and destructive sexuality ideology. When conservatives warned that allowing males in female private spaces puts girls and women at risk, leftists called them ugly names and mocked them. And now it's been revealed that on May 28, 2021, a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a skirt-wearing boy who was allowed to use girls' restrooms at Stone Bridge High School in Loudon County, Virginia. The administration then transferred the boy to another district school where he sexually assaulted another girl. He has now been charged with “two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of anal sodomy, and one count of forcible fellatio.” The first victim's father, Scott Smith, attended his first school board meeting ever on June 22, 2021, just 3.5 weeks after his daughter's sexual assault. Many community members attended the meeting to discuss the board's proposed policy of sexually integrating the private spaces of minor students and of compelling teachers to lie by using incorrect pronouns when referring to cross-sex impersonators. A woman who through her rainbow t-shirt identified herself as an “LGBTQ+” activist, quarreled with Smith including telling him she did not believe his daughter was raped by a skirt-wearing boy in the girls' restroom. The police-intervened and Smith—like the Covington Catholic High School boys—was turned into a national villain by leftist activists who identify as “journalists” and no longer have the patience or integrity to investigate stories before mischaracterizing people. I wonder how leftist fathers would react if their 15-year-old daughters had been sodomized in a girls' bathroom at their “safe” schools and then had an activist tell them she doesn't believe it happened. Jason Wilson’s life might best be paralleled with the Disney movie Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. A military brat, his father took tours of duty that took the family from Ohio to the East Coast, the Gulf shores of Texas, Cincinnati and two stints in Alaska. Professionally, he began his career in Architecture and "felt the call" to go into Construction. In 2009, he founded Marathon Construction Consultants, initially operating as a general contractor and finally morphing into offering Owner’s Representative services to numerous national and international clients primarily in the aviation industry. Outside of work, Jason lives in Fort Thomas, Kentucky with Sarah, his wife of 21 years, and their 3 children, Katie, Jack and Nick. From early childhood, sports have been an integral and formative part of his life. He has coached track at Covington Catholic High School, select baseball for the Cincinnati Titans and is currently in his 7th season as a head coach for the Kentucky Warriors AAU basketball program. He has run 14 marathons - 15 if you count the one he ran on his 31st birthday on his father’s cattle ranch in Montana. My guest on this episode of Nobody’s Safe w/Brady Laber is Rich Hoyt, a college basketball analyst for both Xavier University and Northern Kentucky University women’s teams and a freshman basketball coach at Covington Catholic High School. Rich grew up in Indianapolis and attended Cardinal Ritter High School. Like most Indiana natives he grew up a huge basketball fan and followed the Indiana Hoosiers led by the legendary Bobby Knight. Rich also followed the Butler Bulldogs and attended many games at the historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. This brings up a discussion about some of the great basketball venues in the state of Indiana that include Hinkle, IU’s Assembly Hall, Newcastle High School and Ben Davis High School. When Rich was a young lad he was a ballboy at the Midwestern City Conference Tournament (precursor to the Horizon League) played at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. Rich later found a photo of himself in the background as Xavier University great Byron Larkin is hitting the shot that made him the Musketeer’s all-time leading scorer. Rich graduated from Indiana University and actually took a class that was taught by Coach Knight. Rich talks about how much fun that class was and how much he learned from “The General.” He moves on to Xavier University starting as a marketing intern and than later took a graduate assistant position. He makes some great contacts while working for the basketball program including but not exclusive to David West, Romain Soto and Alan Majors. While at Xavier, Rich becomes a coach and begins working on the girls basketball team at Roger Bacon High School. He eventually moves to the boys team at Roger Bacon working under the head coach Bill Brewer and later Brian Neal. Rich becomes the head coach of his own program when he takes over at Summit Country Day. The Silver Knights win the district title for the first time in over 20 years and he earns Coach of the Year honors. He steps down as the head coach at Summit for family reasons but still needs a basketball fix so he turns to broadcasting. He helps lead a student broadcast production for Summit games as they win a state championship in 2012 led by his successor Michael Bradley. Rich continued his broadcasting career as he catches on over at Xavier to team up with Mike Schmaltz as the broadcast team for the women’s basketball program. In 2017, Rich adds the Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball team to his broadcast schedule. He and his partner Matt Sexton were on the call as the Norse accomplish its first 20-win season as a Division-I program in 2020. Rich officially got back into high school coaching after a 10-year hiatus when he was hired as the freshman basketball coach at Covington Catholic High School. He also brings up that his wife, the former Kim Powers, who is a Northern Kentucky athletics legend. The Dixie Heights High School graduate went on to become a six-time All-American as a diver at Stanford University. Rick went to school at St. Thomas High School in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. There was a teacher and coach there that gave Rick his first break and turned out to be a life long mentor. That man was future NKU men’s basketball coach Kenney Shields. Rick also attended high school with another future NKU coach Nancy Winstel. Nancy was a standout volleyball player and went on to be a three-sports athlete at NKU as well as a Hall of Fame coach. Rick began as a student at Northern Kentucky State College in 1972 which was the second year of the athletic department’s existence. Thanks to Kenney Shields, Rick became at stats person for head coach Mote Hils whom Kenney played for at Covington Catholic High School. While in college Rick is hired as writer and reporter for the Cincinnati Enquirer and covers a number a great sporting events during his time with the paper. When Rick graduates in 1977 he is hired to be the first full-time Sports Information Director at NKU. Over the course of his career Rick eyewitnesses so much history at NKU and he shares some of those stories. He talks about when Regents Hall opens it was not only the home of the basketball and volleyball programs but they also held concerts performed by national acts including Sly and The Family Stone. Rick was there to watch Bill Aker build the baseball doing everything from building the field to recruiting players out of the student lounge. NKU was one of the first state colleges to offer full scholarships for women athletes. This lead to early and long standing success including being the first women’s basketball team to win a game at Rupp Arena against the University of Kentucky. In 1978, the men’s basketball team coached by Mote Hils defeated Xavier for the first of two consecutive wins against the Musketeers and it puts NKU athletes on the map. Thanks in part to the win against Xavier, NKU was its first trip to the NCAA Division-II tournament. Unfortunately, the athletic director at the time Lonnie Davis turns down the opportunity for NKU to host the Great Lakes Regional. Head Coach Mote Hils was less than happy and he has a legendary interaction with his boss that Rick was in person to witness. In 1981 a major budget cut forces NKU to leave the NCAA and go NAIA. In fact, there was discussions to actual shut down the athletic department entirely. Rick was there and describes how that all happened as well as NKU returning to the NCAA as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Jane Meier is hired as the athletic director at NKU after at one time or another coaching women’s basketball, volleyball and softball. By the 1990’s, Rick becomes the SID for the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the league becomes a dominant force in men’s basketball including NKU making back-to-back appearances in the Divsion-II national championship game. Rick was also working at NKU during the failed attempt to start a football program which was a very polarizing subject on campus. The conversation goes back to men’s basketball and Rick explains the transition in the late 1980s from head coach Mike Beitzel to Kenney Shields. Coach Shields led the Norse on an amazing run where the Norse are national runners-up in back-to-back seasons. Nancy Winstel follows that win a national championship victory for the women’s program in 2000. After he retires as a sports information director Rick takes a job as the Director of Media Relations for NKU and that turns into the Vice President of Marketing and Communications position. In 2015, Rick is inducted into the David Lee Holt NKU Hall of Fame and follows that in 2016 with his induction into the Great Lakes Valley Conference Hall of Fame. As we start to wrap up we talk about NKU’s transition into Division-I and it’s success in men’s basketball and the building of the arena. Since his retirement from NKU, Rick continues to continue his streak of 49 seasons working during game day for the basketball programs. In recent years he has added Thomas More, Xavier and the Cincinnati Bengals to his list teams that he works for in a support staff role. Rick says his greatest moment associated with NKU is being with Kenney Shields the night NKU wins the Horizon League tournament in 2017 earning its first ever trip to the NCAA tournament. While the social media mob and mainstream media are blaming climate change and Scott Morrison for the extent of Australia's bushfire season, arson, recklessly lit fires and lack of hazard reduction burns continue to be downplayed as the main contributing causes of the bushfires. On today's podcast we cover the latest news on the Iranian missile strike in Iraq and the liberal response to it. Also, CNN settled with Nick Sandman, and the Senate is ready to move on impeachment without caving to the demands of Democrats. Iran launched 15 missiles at Iraqi air bases where US soldiers are also housed, and either missed everyone or deliberately landed where no one would be killed. It was great news for the free world and was followed by a statement that hints that Iran might be content with that, for now, if the US does not retaliate. The President is set to address the nation this morning on the topic. The hardest hit in the bombardment were the Democrats in and out of the media who were set to blame President Donald Trump for the loss of life, before we learned there wasn't any, and who were gleefully spreading Iranian propaganda before the facts were known. There were also many media flubs, naturally, because they're on the Democrats' team. We get into all of it. Speaking of bad days for journalism, CNN settled their lawsuit with Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandman after the network smeared the teenager when he was confronted by a Native American with a history of stolen valor. The amount of the settlement is being withheld by the network demanding transparency from others, but we hope it's substantial. Mitch McConnell has the votes to proceed to an impeachment trial without the need for input from Democrats in the Senate, just like Democrats did to pass the articles of impeachment in the House. The only question that remains is will Nancy Pelosi ever send them over knowing the treatment Democrats gave Republicans will be waiting for them in the Senate? We get into it.

In January of 2018, a seemingly racist incident occurred on the National Mall. Photos and videos were posted to social media showing a group of MAGA hat-wearing high school students from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky. One of them, Nick Sandmann, seemed to be mocking and blocking the path of Native American activist, Nathan Phillips. People either jeered or cheered on social media, depending on how it was perceived, long before most of us had any idea of the context of the situation. An investigation cleared the students of wrongdoing. What happened is less important than understanding how that incident triggered strong convictions that varied by political affiliation and remained resistant to changing after the investigation. Today, we talk about how this cultural moment is making all of us arrogant intellectual know-it-alls. Also this hour: One man's quest to be the smartest man in the world. On today's show we get into how the left is exploiting children to advance their big government agenda disguised as environmentalism. We also ask how much an employee who can be replaced with a touch screen and a credit card reader is really worth. "Teen media sensation" Greta Thunberg gave world leaders a good talking to at the United Nations yesterday about how they're ruining the planet and killing all life on Earth. If that sounds a little dramatic, it's nothing compared to her speech, which comes off as the result of being terrorized and exploited by adults to advance the liberal agenda. It also sounded like a cry for help, and not how whoever wrote it intended it to be. Plus, journalists are outraged over criticism of Greta, demanding she be treated with respect and reverence because she's only 16. This is the exact opposite of how they treated the 15-year-old students from Covington Catholic High School, who they labels and rowdy, privileged racists for standing still while their personal space was invaded by liberal activists after the March for Life. Why do you suspect that is? We have some ideas as to why, and have all the audio to make the case. Bernie Sanders sat down with fast food workers on strike in Iowa to hear their case for why they deserve to be making $15 per hour. One woman has worked for McDonalds for 11 years and is only making $9.50 per hour. The federal minimum wage has been $7.25 per hour since 2009, which means she's only managed to raise her pay $2 per hour in the last 10 years. Whose fault is that? Add to her story the claims of disabled children and an elderly mother she's caring for and it raises some questions about whether or not she's availing herself of already existing social safety nets. Also, why has she stayed in the job so long? We have the audio and bring some much needed reality to the discussion.

Judge Me Not For What I Do Not Understand #IYP That is correct, the judgement in all of us, towards ourselves, towards others, towards events, towards everything basically. We run all the information that we get from our 5 senses "sight, sounds, taste, smell, touch" and then take that info a run it through our own filters, programming, mind,  and by that I mean how each one of us individually was brought up in the first 7 years of our lives.  On top of that we are all victims and fall prey to mis information or lack of information or being sold or told a narrative that is either false or not complete. For an example I will use this, in school we are taught all the facts of the oceans that we know as humans. Fair enough correct, but what we are not told even to this day is that we have explored less than 5% of the ocean,(around there) so that means we no zero about 95% of it, yet as humans we think we know all there is to know about the ocean. So how can we (any of us) truly claim that we really know what is going on down there? Mathematically not possible when you only have 5% of a puzzle, there is no way you can guess or assume the other 95%.  Well, at least that is the way I see it at this point.  Even for myself if I take the events that happened at Covington Catholic High School where as we all know an event took place.  So I am not here to talk about the event or what happened, but what I am talking about today is how I reacted (even after 10 plus years of mind training in soto zen) to a sound bit and 30 second clip. Mixed with all the information being pushed out about the event itself. I can remember saying their must be more to this, but at the same time the way the video and sound bits were edited I took that information into my system and filter's and programming and with the information provided even though I knew there had to be more to the story.... took it as somewhat fact.  That just tells me how strong our programming run's. Even though I had questions, massive doubt's - at that moment with the only information provided to me my mind took that info and can up with an outcome.  No different then still believing we know all there is to know about the ocean, untrue, yet we still teach and tell each other it is true.  We always hear the saying "Question Everything" I agree with that, but I wonder with all this information hitting us 24/7 in these current times have we become to lazy to do so?  Even though that statement rings true now more than ever!!   We talk Longevity through a Healthy lifestyle, a mix of Mental, Physical and Spiritual knowledge, the Mind, Body Soul trifecta - Negative 2 Positive Everyday  www.mossamo.com Youtube- ... http://bit.ly/ignite-your-purpose Facebook- ... https://www.facebook.com/IYPurpose/ Instagram- ... https://www.instagram.com/IYPurpose/ Twitter- ... https://twitter.com/purposeignite Podbean - https://igniteyourpurpose.podbean.com Apparel- ... http://bit.ly/igniteapparel

Covington Catholic High School student sues NBC for $275 million - Should He Get It? #MAGAFirstNews with @PeterBoykin Attorney General Barr to be a no-show at House hearing, could face contempt charge, subpoena Barr to skip House hearing, could face subpoena, contempt charge After Wednesday's contentious day of testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the Mueller report, Attorney General William Barr informed the House Judiciary Committee that he would not testify Thursday as scheduled, prompting threats of subpoenas from Democrats and a possible contempt citation. Democrats have vowed to hold the hearing anyway, leaving open the possibility of the spectacle of House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., gaveling a hearing with an empty chair reserved for Barr. A key sticking point was that Nadler wanted to have House Judiciary Committee staff -- rather than members of Congress -- question him on his handling of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on the Russia investigation. But DOJ officials said members should conduct the inquiry, and it was unclear why Democrats did not propose having staffers provide questions to members during the hearing. The rift between Barr and Congressional Democrats was the backdrop for a tense day of testimony Wednesday where the attorney general accused the lawmakers of using criminal justice process as "political weapon" ahead of the 2020 presidential election and declared the Justice Department's role in the Russia probe controversy "over." President Trump, in an interview on Fox Business’ “Trish Regan Primetime,” praised Barr's testimony but said lawmakers treated him "differently" than anyone else. Rep. Omar believes US 'bullying' has contributed to Venezuela chaos Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, suggested Wednesday that the United States could be partly to blame for the ongoing turmoil in Venezuela, saying the policies of the Trump administration had "kind of helped lead the devastation." Appearing on "Democracy Now," a news program broadcast on PBS, Omar was asked to weigh in on what the host described as a "U.S.-supported coup attempt" against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. "A lot of the policies that we have put in place [have] kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela and we have sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today," she said. "This particular bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela and it certainly does not help and is not in the interest of the United States." Biden and Romney give opposite views of China's threat to the US Former Vice President Joe Biden expressed his lack of concern over China as a global competitor to the U.S. at a rally on Wednesday, prompting a grim response from Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, on Twitter. Biden, the 2020 Democratic frontrunner, mocked those who have taken China seriously. "China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man!" Biden exclaimed. "They're not competition for us." That sparked a reaction from Romney, who ran against Biden's running mate, former President Barack Obama, in 2012. "This will not age well," Romney predicted in a tweet. CLICK HERE for an in-depth look at Biden's questionable international deals and why “The Next Revolution” host Steve Hilton refers to the former vice president as "Joe China." Covington Catholic High School student sues NBC for $275 million Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann is suing NBCUniversal for a whopping $275 million for defamation over the media coverage he received earlier this year, his lawyer said Wednesday. Sandmann was at the center of a viral controversy back in January, alongside reports suggesting that he and his classmates had initiated a confrontation with Native American elder Nathan Phillips outside the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Subsequent reporting and video evidence contradicted that version of events. This marks the third major lawsuit Sandmann's legal team has launched. The team is also suing the Washington Post for $250 million as well as CNN for $275 million. Sandmann's lawyer previously suggested that the Associated Press and HBO could face similar lawsuits. Brandon and Jerry discuss the impact that our unchecked emotional triggers in the world, in our relationships and in the workplace. Emotional Triggers Can Ignite a Furious Mob MentalityJerry’s heart sank on January 19 when his wife shared with him a news story about a group of high school students who taunted a Native American at the Lincoln Memorial. The students were reported wearing that famous red “Make America Great Again” hat.The short clip showed white teens surrounding a smaller group of Native Americans, and everything about that clip was infuriating. An image circulated across social media like wildfire showing a MAGA-hat-wearing young man smirking in the face of chanting and drumming Nathan Phillips. It didn’t take long for the Twitter-verse to become angry, speak its mind, and call for the worst to happen to these students and their families. Outrage became calls to put pressure on the diocese in Kentucky and the superintendent of the school. People were calling for immediate action, and we mean at that moment, no due process. Celebrities like Kathy Griffin and GQ writer Nathaniel Friedman called for doxing of all the students involved. One of many people who called for the identities to be made public (doxing) of Covington Catholic High School students in the viral video. Those who were outraged demanded the jobs of the superintendent, the parents of the students and others began to cross the line. A store owner called for fans of his store to “fire on” any of these students if they were true fans. He even called for the school to be burned down. Former CNN host even commented how Nick Sandmann had a “punchable face.”Former CNN host, Reza Aslan, described how a teenager had a "punchable face."Grown adults calling for harm to come to teenagers?! Where have we come as a society? What were all the emotional triggers examples here? What were they all triggered by? Some say it was the red “MAGA” hat. It’s like the new white hood to many. Others saw it as a racial issue with racial lenses on. Others saw it as liberals versus conservatives.Whatever the triggers were one thing was certain. Things certainly escalated quickly, and we remain in a rut of staying in our own echo chambers.Be Quick to Listen, Slow to Speak, Slow to AngerAs the Twitter-frenzy continued, more video clips, longer video clips began to surface. The original reports turned out to be false. People still looked for reasons to be angry at the teenagers and attacked the fact they were in Washington, D.C. for the March for Life event. The conversation was all about making these students look like obnoxious racists. Then, a video surfaced that was almost two hours in length posted by the Black Hebrew Israelites. That is when it became abundantly clear that the best approach was to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. (See USA Today story and full video here. Warning: this video is graphic for strong language.)Great reminder regarding how to handle emotional triggers.Impact of Your Emotional Triggers in the WorkplaceWe all have our pet peeves. We definitely have issues where we have deeply rooted passions for or against. Emotional triggers in the workplace for us can come from a phrase, a person, or an entire department.Imagine hearing about a viable solution to a problem that stumped your team. You find out that the idea came from Sue, and instantly it’s a bad idea in your mind. Why? You can’t stand Sue. Everything about her views flies in the face of what you believe. There’s no way she could have a good idea. Even if she did, you would never support it.This is how you know if you are following your emotions rather than logic and fact. Would you accept that same exact solution if it came from someone else, someone you liked? Would you even add to that solution to make it even better?Lacking self-awareness is a great way to isolate yourself from others at w...

Phil Kerpen (http://twitter.com/kerpen) of American Commitment joins Tony to discuss the real story of Phillips: he lied about serving in Vietnam. He also has a history of aggressive behavior, and inserting himself into bad situations. So why did media continue to push the lie that Phillips himself was attacked/accosted/insulted? In Episode 76 of Hidden Forces, Demetri Kofinas speaks with Robby Soave, the journalist at the center of what has become the biggest national news story in America, eclipsing the thirty-five-day-long government shutdown that ended today. This conversation centers on a drama that began unfolding over the previous weekend and which has continued into this week. It concerns a group of Catholic school students from Kentucky’s Covington Catholic High School, who were thrust into the national spotlight for seeming to have denigrated and mocked the dignity of a native American man who was solemnly beating his drum at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during MLK weekend and on the day of an Indigenous Peoples March in the nation’s capital. This story hit all the trigger buttons. The protagonists were a group of adolescent, white, privileged, Catholic schoolboys from Kentucky wearing MAGA hats who were smirking at and mocking an individual from what is perhaps the most marginalized group in American society. The oppressors were taunting the oppressed. Here it was in all its despicable glory, and the media and millions of people across social media ate it up. They swallowed it hook, line, and sinker and these students were all but crucified by both sides of the political spectrum before all the facts had been collected and laid bare. Were it not for our guest, Robby Soave, and his timely reporting about what actually transpired at the Lincoln Memorial this past Friday, the 18th of January, this news cycle may have ended and these Covington Catholic High School kids could very well have been expelled, their applications to colleges denied, and their families attacked before anyone would learn the truth of what really happened. Even were they to agree to hear the case then, it would not be argued until after the next term starts in October. What does this mean for DACA going forward? So, with the court's inaction today, are people celebrating, or is this just a positive step in a very long journey?Jailed Press TV anchor Marzieh Hashemi appeared in court in Washington, DC, last week before a grand jury. Her children were also called in to testify and were not allowed to speak with her. No charges have been filed. Her son Hossein Hashemi told the Associated Press that his mother would have been willing to cooperate with the FBI and did not need to be jailed as a material witness. He says no one in his family can fathom why she would be considered a material witness for federal investigators. What going on here? The Supreme Court on Tuesday revived the Trump administration's policy of barring most transgender people from serving in the military. In a brief, unsigned order, the justices temporarily allowed the ban to go into effect while cases challenging it move forward. The vote was 5 to 4, with the court's five conservative members in the majority and its four liberal members in dissent. What dose this mean for transgender Americans who want to serve in the military, and will there be a ripple effect into other sectors of American society?According to the New York Times, "When the Trump administration announced last month that it was lifting sanctions against a trio of companies controlled by an influential Russian oligarch, it cast the move as tough on Russia and on the oligarch, arguing that he had to make painful concessions to get the sanctions lifted. But a binding confidential document signed by both sides suggests that the agreement the administration negotiated with the companies controlled by the oligarch, Oleg V. Deripaska, may have been less punitive than advertised." What's going on here? What were the implications on aluminum prices as Trump's sanctions took effect?A crowd of teenagers surrounded a Native American elder and other activists and appeared to mock them after Friday's Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial. Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky is closing today over security concerns. Protests were originally planned for today outside of the school but were held outside the Diocese of Covington instead. Students from Covington were thrown into the national spotlight over the weekend when a video emerged of one student wearing a Make America Great Again hat facing off with Native American activist Nathan Phillips. Nick Sandmann, a junior at Covington Catholic High School, who said he is the student in the video, said he was trying to defuse a tense situation and denied insinuations that anyone in the crowd was acting out of racism or hatred. How did this story really unfold, and did the media stir up a provocative and sensational visual for a situation that proved to be more complex than originally described? Students from Covington Catholic High School, who were on a field trip to D.C. wearing MAGA hats, were wrongly accused of being a bunch of 'white-privileged racists' towards an elder Native American activist during an Indigenous Peoples March. Soave explains how that couldn't be further from the truth; and finally, Mary Rice Hasson (author of the book, "Get Out Now") discusses her book and the dangerous precedent California is setting for public schools across the nation, due to left-leaning transgender and progressive agendas.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
