    Season 4 Episode 23 is out with “Stretch Talk'. What exactly is “Stretch Talk”? If you have played high school or college sports you know that every day you stretch. Stretching can be one of the most routine things you will do on an everyday basis. After a couple weeks, you become familiar on what you need to accomplish stretching wise and can do it in your sleep. During this time, you start to strike up conversations with your teammates.     Landon Steiner - Assistant Coach at Transylvania

    Episode 21 season 4 is out with Landon Steiner. Landon is currently an assistant coach at Transylvania University located in Lexington, Ky. Landon has had success right away at Transylvania University winning the HCAC Championship his second year of coaching. Landon finished his college career at Winston-Salem State University. Landon goes in-depth talking about the development at a D3 and how to overcome the restrictions that comes with that. Landon talks about how in order to become a successful organization you have to trust people outside of the school to train your players at a high level. 2022 has been a crazy year for recruiting. Currently for D1 there are 3,600 athletes in the transfer portal. The portal has changed everything about recruiting and it will only get crazier.     Andrew Bradley - Earlham College (0 career HR to breaking the single season record)

    Season 4 Episode 20 is out with Andrew Bradley. Andrew recently graduated from Earlham college located in Richmond, IN. During the 2022 season, Andrew broke the Earlham College single season Homerun record after having zero career Homeruns and having nothing to show his first 3 seasons at Earlham College. Andrew also hit 5 Homeruns, 12 RBI'S, and 2 Doubles. At one point, Andrew was trending on Twitter for his amazing performance. During this episode, Andrew and I talk about his previous college offseasons compared to his senior season. Andrew had a crazy body transformation from his freshman year to his senior season. He gained 30 pounds his junior year and explained how it helped him to progress into his senior season. Andrew graduated Earlham College with a psychology degree and is huge on mental side of baseball. Andrew explains what it takes to truly have a positive mentality outlook and have a progression towards on the field performance.     Season 4 Episode 18 is out with Dan Sarmiento or DSARM. Dan is a social media influencer athlete who will be attending Azusa Pacific University to play college baseball. Dan is known for vlogging in the baseball realm but has recently started a podcast called “The Show” with his friend Joe Norris. They were recently sponsored by @thebsblr Dan talks about his start in social media and his love for videography. He talks about how he has been filming since he was a kid and is fascinated by how video can truly show a story about one's life through a lens. Dan explains what is takes to become an athlete vlogger and now podcaster with consistently producing content regularly while keeping viewer retention high. Becoming a vlogger can happen overnight but it is a true process and a storytelling skill to keep content consistently flowing. Dan goes onto talk about his current podcast style on social media. He explains why he cuts down his podcasts to a shorter time and how this is becoming a style of podcasting through social media. Dan explains how each platform really works form YouTube to TikTok and how different their roles really are towards viewership & retention rate.     Season 4 Episode 16 is out with Garrison Roy. Garrison has a very extensive background working for the Florida baseball ranch, Cressy Sports Performance, and Tread Athletics. Garrison graduated and played baseball at Winston-Salem State University while studying Kinesiology and Exercise Science. During this episode, Garrison goes in-depth explaining what exactly is a performance coach. There has been a lot of confusion about what exactly is a performance coach. Garrison talks about the four main areas involved in a performance coach (Strength and Conditioning, PT, Nutrition, Sport specific knowledge). I personally have been interested in how coaches eval their athletes. Garrison and I go in-depth towards his over process evaluating an athlete and how it incorporates to their specific sport.     Season 4 Episode 14 is out with Josh Elleman. Josh is the owner of Elite/Elleman Strength & Conditioning based out of Cincinnati, OH. Josh specializes in overall baseball development in the Athletic Training and Strength & Conditioning. Before starting Elite/Elleman Strength & Conditioning, Josh worked in the Boston Red Sox minor system (Pawtucket Red Sox) as an assistant athletic trainer. After working in professional baseball, Josh went onto working with Beacon Orthopedics as an athletic trainer and also working with the prestigious Midland summer baseball program. Josh also spent time at Miami Ohio University working with Men's baseball and Women's tennis teams. Josh and I go into detail about his overall process of taking an 8th grader into an elite athlete by their senior year of high school. This process is ultimately custom built but the overall progressions and adaptations are similar for most athletes. This week's stretch talk is about “what if Im a second string and I'm not playing. I have been in this situation before and I know it can be hard. This is a time in someone's career where they can use it to their advantage or bitch/complain about why you aren't playing. In order to get out of this situation you need to evaluate yourself and your surroundings. Topics include: -          Be honest with yourself -          Gather all of the information from your coach face to face -          Get your own development program -          Practice isn't practice -          Pre-Game as a second string -          What you should be doing during games I wanted to share this information to everyone because I know how hard it can be to work all offseason and then sit the bench. It can be a hard time and there is no guidance on how to be successful in this situation. These overall topics will put you in the best situation possible to be able to play baseball as a starter.     Cristian Perez - Cincinnati Reds Major League Advanced Scouting Coach

    Season 4 Episode 12 is out with Cristian Perez. Cristian is currently working for the Cincinnati Reds as a Major League Advance Scouting Coach. Cristian works as being a hybrid between the front office and on-field player development.  Before working with the Cincinnati Reds, Cristian attended and played college baseball at Duke University and the University of Southern California. After college, Cristian worked for the Arizona Diamondbacks as a Baseball Ops Intern. He goes into detail about his experience working with an organization and how he was able to work with many different departments to learn the overall process. After working the Diamondbacks, Cristian got a job with the Commissioner's office as a Fellow working with International Baseball Operations.  Cristian talks about the overall interview process and how in-depth it really can be. He explains the Commissioner's office isn't exactly about how much you know but how well you can fit in the overall organization. Cristian has one of the most interesting jobs in baseball working with on-field development and the baseball ops department. On field development he worked with catcher development. He also caught bullpens, helped with pitchers pre game, and through BP. On the baseball ops side, he worked with analytics writing reports on the pitchers and catchers side for upcoming series. Cristian has a wide arrange of skills from his background at Duke and USC, to Baseball Ops, and the Commissioner's office. Its no luck that Cristian has one of the most interesting jobs in baseball. Andrew started his company in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic while baseball seasons were getting cancelled, and players were looking for coaching. Andrew decided in order to get his name out he started reaching out to players on Instagram offer free remote training to get his name out. Month by month, Andrew started adding new clients and now he currently has over 150 clients that he is training remotely. Andrew has found a market for athletes that do not have to break the bank for remote training but get an overall progressive training program.     Season 4 Episode 8 is out with Caleb Longley. Caleb is the CEO of Marv Training and currently the coordinator of hitting and pitching development at the University of Texas. Before Texas, Caleb was the director of hitting analytics at Arizona State University. Caleb worked closely with all technologies such as Trackman, Yakkertech, Rapsodo, Synergy, and Baseball Cloud. All of these technologies would help to replicate opponents for practice plans and development strategies for individual players. Caleb started MARV Training while training Quarterbacks for QB Takeover. Quarterback Takeover is one of the most elite quarterback training programs in the country. QB Takeover is “designed to give young athletes the mental toughness needed to lead a team, the skills necessary to execute and the mindset to make the right calls when the game is on the line” – QB Takeover. During this time Caleb worked with Power 5 QB's to get ready for the upcoming draft. Caleb started his career by founding and owning “High Intent Training” located in Nashville, TN. At High Intent, Caleb leaned to make custom programs and progress athletes at a high level. Caleb also learned how to run a business and progress his business his business as a whole. Caleb has a very interesting background working with many different athletes at a high level, while owning business along the way. Caleb has progressed at a crazy rate through the college rankings.     802 Baseball lab - Zac Morain & Seth Douglas

    Season 4 Episode 2 is out with 802 baseball lab Founders Zac Morain and Seth Douglas. 802 Baseball lab is located in Georgia, VT and has been open for only a couple months. At 802 Baseball lab every athlete is properly assessed through their own screening process and a written custom development plan. Zac Morain started his coaching career at Montana state being a volunteer pitching coach. After Montana state, Zac took a job at Drvieline baseball which is a data driven baseball training facility located in Kent, WA. Zac spent a year working at Driveline learning and developing baseball players using a data driven approach to improve player performance Seth Douglas had a different route compared to Zac. Seth played college baseball at Bemidji state university and SUNY Canton. Seth's accolades in college included ECAC Player of the week, USCAA All American, and ABCA New York All-Region Second Team. After his playing career at SUNY Canton, Seth joined the Alpine Cowboys playing in the Pecos League.     Season 4 Episode 1 is out with Max Ramsey. Max is currently a catching instructor at P413 located in Dayton, OH. P413 is becoming a very household name in Dayton, OH. P413 provides elite level baseball instruction for athletes of all age. P413 is known for having one of the only Top Velocity in-house pitching programs in the Midwest. Before working at P413, Max played college baseball at Wilmington college located in Wilmington, OH. Max is also apart of the coaching staff for Canes Ohio organization. Max is a player who was grown through the organization. Max talks about what the canes organization means to him. He explains that its not just about developing players but its teaching players about life and how to continue the growth mind set. Max and I go in-depth talking about catching philosophy and how to implement a good system into an organization. Max talks about how with younger ages today, coaches can be so concerned about results rather than a steady progression of learning the position and their body. We also talked about the overall state of catching in 2022. Receiving is becoming so important in todays game more than it ever has been. Analytics are taking over and truly analyzing who is being the most efficient behind that plate.     Lennon Richards- Director of Pitching (Baseball Development Group)

    Episode 15 season 3 is out with Lennon Richards. Lennon is currently the Director of pitching at Baseball located in Toronto, Canada. Lennon is a well-known name in the pitching community due to his high knowledge in ProPlayAI which is a marker less biomechanical technology. Lennon growing up was originally a primary catcher, who decided to change to a pitcher. Lennon decided to sit out the spring semester of his freshman year at college. This six-month stretch would lead to Lennon's interest in player development. Lennon then decided he would drop out of college and start his career as a coach. Lennon currently has a blog that called richardbaseball.com, he shares his coaching journey and research he has done during his time a BDG. Lennon talks about how BDG has become a very successful facility for training pitchers and athletes to become the best version of themselves. BDG has become a huge advocate of ProPlayAI from the beginning of its launch in 2020. This has allowed coaches to learn more of how the body works in motion during a pitching delivery. Lennon talks about how each player is not specific to each statistic show in ProPlayAI but explains how to go through an evaluation process of each athlete. Lennon is one of the best analytic minds in pitching development currently and he has shown it through his blog. Incorporating technology, FRC, and S/C into pitching development to get the most out of his pitchers.

    Collin Murray- Baltimore Orioles Development Coach

    Episode 14 season 3 is out with Collin Murray. Collin is currently a development coach in the Baltimore Orioles Organization. Before working with the Baltimore Orioles, Collin was a graduate assistant at Georgia Southern University studying to get his master's in communication and leadership. Collin has a concentration using R. His strengths include data visualization and R shinny app.   Before working with the Baltimore Orioles, Collin talks about how he got into baseball. His first job wasn't in player development, but it was a sales job with the Miami Marlins. He realized through that job he wanted to work directly with the players. Collin went to the winter meetings in 2019 and ended up getting a job with the Los Angeles Angels organization as a minor league video intern. After his job with the Angels, Collin decided he wanted to get more into player development and coding so he reached out to a bunch of schools asking about graduate assistant jobs. He was offered a graduate assistant job with Georgia Southern and went from there. During his time at Georgia Southern, Collin produced a player development tracker through an R shiny app that could evaluate each individual player based on their metrics. Collin talks about his story making this app and how he told his players he was going to come back from winter break throwing 90 mph but quickly realized that wasn't going to happen and instead created this app. After his season with Georgia Southern, Collin worked with the Detroit Tigers as a baseball information assistant. Collin talks about his experience working with coaches and players at a professional level each day and how much he learned over the summer. Collin truly shows that with hard work, dedication, and determination you can learn how to code on your own. Collin talks highly about finding a mentor within the coding industry to really help you progress along the way. Collin learned how to code in about two years and is progressing each day. I am excited to see Collin's 2022 season and wish him nothing but the best of luck!

    Kyle Brennan - Houston Astros Performance Coach

    Episode 13 season 3 is out with Kyle Brennan. Kyle is a performance coach with the Houston Astros that has a concentration with strength/conditioning and catching. For the 2022 season, Kyle will be working the Houston Astros Double – A affiliate Corpus Christi Hooks. Before working for the Houston Astros, Kyle played baseball at the University of Buffalo and started for 3 ½ years. In 2017 Kyle, was named to the Johnny Bench Award Watchlist. After college, Kyle didn't go directly into baseball but decided to work as an EMT. During, this time Kyle started up his catching machine performance page. He decided to post to this page when he had off time during his job in the truck during the EMT. Kyle decided to go full time working in baseball and S/C. He coached two seasons with CatcherMTRX, the Long Island Titans and Ward Melville High School. Kyle went on to pass his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Program) and obtained Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms). Kyle talks about what its like to work in professional baseball and it is changing every year. Being a professional coach, you need a wide arrange of skills to become successful. Kyle talks about what he is currently working to learn and what makes him standout from other coaches. Kyle mentions technology and data about how important it towards player development during 2021. Kyle has a bright future in professional baseball and shows that he is constantly learning to become a better coach. Kyle is a big advocate of not letting social media affecting his mentality towards his personal life or his coaching style. I am really looking forward to see how 2022 goes for Kyle and how many players he will reach this season.
