What practical techniques make the difference between visitors following along and truly engaging? In this episode, Claire explores:Why traditional approaches often lead to disengagement (despite focusing on collection highlights)The spectrum from passive to active The fundamental mindset change required to create active experiencesHow to make your introductions more activeHow to transform questioning from testing knowledge to sparking genuine connection, and meaning-makingWays to use movement and positioning as powerful tools for engagement rather than defaulting to "follow the leader"Simple strategies to move beyond the 'hub and spoke' model and foster direct participant-to-participant interactionHow to share information in a responsive and adaptable way that offers multiple pathways into the core ideas. How to create active closings to help visitors reflect, connect, and carry something forward. The Art Engager is written and presented by Claire Bown. The restaurant owners I work with every week are looking for transformation. They might be tired of working so many hours in the restaurant or frustrated by not being able to move the needle on things. Or they are missing out on life and want a better balance. Whatever their reason, the best part of my job is when a restaurant owner does the work and transforms their restaurant and life using the systems I teach. In this episode of “The Restaurant Prosperity Formula” podcast, I want to introduce you to a restaurant owner who has done the work and transformed his restaurant, the lives of his employees and the lives of his family in his family business. I'm talking to Matt Jacobs, owner of Ben Franklin's Taproom and Grille in Newcastle, Penn. Matt, his dad and brothers opened a convenience store about six years ago with a small amount of food, but because of some changes to laws in their state, it resulted in a lot of competition that was created almost overnight. They decided to transition to a full-service. Neither Matt or his dad and brothers had restaurant experience, so after muddling through for a few years, Matt started on a path to make real change in his business, to take control. During our discussion he shares the incredible changes he made, how he got his life back and how every restaurant owner looking for this kind of transformation can do the same things. Hello and welcome Folks to the Looniest Podcast on the interwebs! In this week's episode, Matt Jacobs joins to discuss some classic cartoon shorts and provide insight into the inspiration behind one of Bug's most famous impressions, Captain Bligh in Buccaneer Bunny (1948)! We continue the discussion with Friz Freleng's second Sea going adventure with Mutiny on the Bunny (1950)! Come along with us and set sail as we embark on uncharted waters! Looney Tunes Cartoons march is now available at Box Lunch and Hot Topic! These stores are now carrying new and exciting T-shirt designs previously unreleased.https://www.boxlunch.com/pop-culture/shop-by-license/looney-tunes/ Animators from all over the world are collaborating on a 2 year project called: What’s Opera Doc Reanimated.  They are currently calling for all animators to join in and if you’re interested go to the twitter account @WODReanimate for more information! Jeans for Genes: A Uk fundraising organization for children born with genetic disorders. This year they are taking part in Bugs’ 80th celebration with a commemorative shirt design specifically for those who get involved in the charity foundation. For more information and to get involved check out their website at https://www.jeansforgenesday.org/ Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) OSCAR WINNER: Best Picture - Synopsis: The Bounty is on a mission in the South Seas. The brutal and arrogant Captain Bligh (Charles Laughton in an Oscar-nominated performance) becomes antagonized by the genteel manner of the First Officer Christian Fletcher (Clark Gable, who was also nominated for the "Best Actor" Oscar). While in Tahiti, the men of The Bounty are seduced by the gentle beauty of the island and its women. Nominated for 8 Academy Awards and winning for "Best Picture," this 1935 vigorous retelling of a true historic incident about a British ship commandeered from its brutal master, remains a cinematic classic.  Cartoon Shorts Discussed:Buccaneer Bunny (1948)Mutiny on the Bunny (1950) Buccaneer Bunny (1948)Directed byI. In this week's episode, Matt Jacobs joins to review the first publically released episode of The Looney Tunes Cartoons! (Boo! Appetweet, Plunger, Bubble Dum) We also discuss the importance of having a storyboard driven room for the shorts in the reboot and then we play a game to see if we can identify defining traits of some of the iconic characters within the series! The creativity shown in this series so far is so promising and respectful to the source material that it's hard not to love what these individual teams are doing with these cherished characters. Boo! Appetweet - A short starring Tweety (Eric Bauza), Sylvester the Cat (Jeff Bergman) and Granny (Candi Milo). This short has references to Ghostbusters and A Christmas Carol, which makes this an instant classic! 3.5/5 Carrots!  Plunger - A musically driven short featuring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd where Elmer tries to suck Bugs out of his hole via usage of a plunger. The water color backgrounds and amazing animation of its central characters make this a work of art that can be enjoyed by all ages. I wish it was a bit longer because the premise is so strong, but that's a minor gripe. 2.5/5 Carrots!  Bubble Dum - When Daffy Duck (Eric Bauza) accidentally steps on a piece of street bubblegum that he previously chewed, he pulls out all the stops to get it off. Did you play the description game along with us? How did you do? Were there any descriptors you would add to those main characters that we missed? I understand that the Looney Tunes are more similar to actors than specific character types, but there are certain constants that you can point at and that's what we aimed to do.ACME Commercial: ACME GUM!Special thanks to Matt Jacobs!Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!Support us at https://www.patreon.com/thismeanspodcastFollow and Share This Means Podcast!YOUTUBE - Youtube.com/ThismeanspodcastPatreon - https://www.patreon.com/thismeanspodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/ThismeansPodFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/ThisMeansPodcastInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/ThismeanspodcastDon't forget to Like, Share, and Subscribe! That's NOT All Folks!

As AI expands into the mainstream, how will it succeed at the edge? Matt Jacobs, Senior VP Commercial Systems, Penguin Computing, Inc. talks about the growth of AI, its move from the data center, and easing customers into the edge space. An established leader in data center and HPC solutions, Penguin takes a system-level view of the move to AI, a trend they’ve seen developing over the past two years. In the next 18 months, symbiotic technologies will be converging to create “real growth opportunity,” in Jacobs’ words. Deploying AI at the edge comes with its own needs, and they differ from those of traditional data centers. Easily maintained low-power environments well-tuned for workloads are key, and the spread of processing power from the data center to the near-edge to the far-edge calls for software that can ensure workload portability. New compute platforms, like 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors with built-in AI acceleration, suit the unique requirements of workloads at the edge. Upcoming Intel “One API” software, which will simplify programming diverse computing engines, will support targeting workloads at various levels of capability.
