Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holdings has announced a groundbreaking collaborative research agreement with Makana Therapeutics, aiming to explore the potential of TNX-1500, Tonix's anti-CD40L monoclonal antibody candidate, in advancing the field of xenotransplantation—the transplantation of animal-derived organs into human patients. In an interview with Steve Darling from Proactive, Tonix CEO Dr. Seth Lederman shared details of the preclinical partnership, which will evaluate TNX-1500 in combination with Makana's proprietary human-compatible organs and cells, derived from genetically engineered pigs. The collaboration will initially focus on kidney, heart, and islet cell transplant models, with the broader objective of developing new treatment options for patients suffering from organ failure. The preclinical studies are designed to generate data to support a future Investigational New Drug (IND) application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, with the goal of enabling compassionate use of xenotransplantation therapies in patients who have no alternative treatment options. Makana's approach centers around genetically engineered pigs that have been modified to lack swine leukocyte antigen (SLA), a key driver of immune rejection. These animals demonstrate enhanced compatibility with human biology and offer several potential advantages over competing technologies, including high fertility rates, increased litter sizes, and robust health profiles—key factors that support scalability and commercial viability in global markets. TNX-1500 is a next-generation anti-CD40L monoclonal antibody designed to modulate immune response while minimizing the risk of thrombosis—a common side effect associated with earlier anti-CD40L agents. The drug candidate holds promise in preventing organ transplant rejection, making it an ideal component of xenotransplantation protocols. #proactiveinvestors #tonixpharmaceuticalsholdingcorp #nasdaq #tnxp #Biotech #MPOXVaccine #Smallpox #TNX801 #VaccineDevelopment #ClinicalTrials #PharmaceuticalNews #MedicalResearch #WHO #GlobalHealth #InfectiousDiseases #Biopharma #ProactiveInvestors

But what if it's making them weak? In this episode, Dave Asprey sits down with bestselling author, TED speaker, and resilience expert Jennifer Cohen to reveal how today's parenting norms are quietly producing the most anxious, dependent, and emotionally fragile generation in history—Gen Z. In this week's episode, we are joined by Sinead Hegarty, founder of The Braveway and Tranquility Rings, a podcast host, mindset and meditation expert. She shares her authentic self online whilst diving deep about relationships. She was the big sister Yaz never had and showed so many of us that anything is possible and the freedom we desire can be achieved.Sinead takes us back to 2019 when she first went travelling, her boyfriend had broken up with her after cheating on her and she was going through heartbreak. She realised her self worth was really low and she ended up putting on an inauthentic front to the outside world pretending that she was okay when she really wasn't. She shares how opening up, being her authentic and vulnerable self allowed her to connect with her followers.Since then, Sinead has shown her true authentic self online sharing not only her journey with moving to Australia but her relationships, friendships, mistakes, health struggles and everything in between. She set up The Braveway, has hosted live shows and also her bookclub as an avid reader herself.Yaz and Sinead chat all things human behaviour, emotional regulation, meditation and mental health struggles. Yaz shares how she recently delved into rejection therapy which is what helped Sinead build her confidence in terms of public speaking. It's about putting yourself out there, asking the questions, doing karaoke and making yourself uncomfortable until you're comfortable.Sinead takes us back to the first time she was introduced to meditating by her therapist and wasn't taught properly. She then did her first mediation class with a meditation teacher and fell in love after being taught properly. It's important to trust your inner guidance system what feels good to you and where you want to be. You'll find your way, your passion and your purpose by how and what you feel, and through meditation is a great way to do this!Sinead's LinksFollow Sinead on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/sineadheg/Sinead Says Podcasthttps://open.spotify.com/show/57jugHtKhXL6uynTKOdBNvThe Bravewayhttps://www.thebraveway.co/thebraveway?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaagFy9K3IY4grNSuj6AlVTYdC4WxRQkPZAm46Xzc23Kso7RRKnGdwZ9_UQ_aem_f428kTFTnXXkKKqtvmK3UQYaz' LinksConnect with Yaz on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/yasminlilyhilsdon/Follow Yaz on TikTokhttps://www.tiktok.com/@yourgirlyazSubscribe to YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/@yasminlilyhilsdon/videosJoin the CEO Clubhttps://yazhilsdoncoaching.thrivecart.com/ceoclub/FREE Higher Self Meditation Coursehttps://yazhilsdoncoaching.thrivecart.com/higher-self-meditation-course/Book your Empower Hourhttps://yazhilsdoncoaching.thrivecart.com/empowerhour/10% off with EMPOWERHOUR10Apply to become an Empowered Entrepreneurhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/1BbvW8u_MCRbQw60FD3Dspav7TX0WythsZsE78yhYkJk/viewform?edit_requested=true

Have you ever gone out and INTENTIONALLY tried to get rejected? Uh, no? What kind of psycho would go out and intentionally suffer through rejection? …It's me. Hi. I'm the psycho, it's me.  If you've been following along on Insta, then you already know I'm in the middle of a thirty-day practice where I go out every single day and do something to intentionally get rejected. And while I've experienced a surprising amount of “yeses” to my requests, I've also experienced plenty of “nos”...and a few “no, buts” that ended up being even cooler than my original request. Rejection is not easy. A few of those “nos” have really stung. But here I am, still doing it…and if you're wondering why, here it is: I'm not going to ask you to do something I wouldn't do. So if I'm going to teach you how to be the most confident bitch in the room, then I have to show you what it takes to actually be confident—and for this month, that looks like putting myself in a position to get rejected. Hello and welcome to episode #54 of the Still Spinning Podcast. We recently found out we have some subscribers through Spotify (hello and thank you!) and we are unable to see who they are! That means we cannot send them (in the mail) the fun stuff Dan impulse purchases, so if you are one of those people and want the fun freebies, please let us know.   We kick things off with a segment called "What Annoyed You This Week." It is impossible to list ALL the things, but Dan and Nicole each manage to bring up one. For Dan, someone working at Starbucks was talking about music made in the 1980s and phrased it in such a way that it made Dan mad. For Nicole, it was all about people on social media asking questions that should really be addressed to some sort of professional (like a doctor or accountant).   A new trend called REJECTION THERAPY is making the rounds on Tik Tok and boy, we had a lot to say about that. And where it stems from (hint - participation trophies). It is a pretty fun little chat, you should probably check it out.   And finally, an animal topic. A woman surrendered her dog to be euthanized but it wasn't and a year later, she wants it back. Some strong feelings were shared as well as some theories.   All of this AND MORE in this week's episode. Check out stillspinningpodcast.com for more on the show, merch, and how you can become a sponsor.

In Episode 77 "How to Slow Down & Shut Up" I show you why it is ESSENTIAL to listen to the words you are using. The easiest way to do this? The trick is PAYING ATTENTION TO our thoughts and changing our words to SERVE us is to notice them. This episode reminds you that your thoughts are the super-highways to anything you want. And language, our WORDS, make up our thoughts. Remember, if you want to teach your mind, you are always your own first student so show up and pay attention to how you talk to yourself. So, get quiet and pay attention to your thoughts and words. In this episode, you will learn: • why the word "I want" or "I need" create lack and scarcity • why taking a breath of 3 before you speak can give your mind "think time" before you speak • how changing your words to "I can," "I choose" and "I create" is a game changer. Rejection Therapy? What is that? In this episode, I talk about my own journey to fall more in love with my own sense of rejection and fear as I apply the tools I am learning from actively seeking rejection in my own life and in my business. My inspiration comes from Jason Comely and Jia Jiang who shared his own powerful journey with rejection in a TedX that you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vZXgApsPCQ. Impressed by Jia, in this episode, I share how I have started to create a closer relationship with rejection by simply asking a question. I am able to collect a no and it doesn't kill me. The fear of what people will think, the fear of a no, the fear of disapproval: it no longer hurts me as it may once have. But these things don't have to be big asks for us to experience big change. Asking for what you will change your life. So where can you ask for what you want? Where can you feel nervous about a rejection but ask it any way? Enjoy this episode about fear and rejection. We experience rejection all the time–in job interviews, while dating, when pitching a story or even trying to join a new club or activity. But if rejection happens so often, why is it so scary? And worse, what if our fear of being rejected is keeping us from going after the things we want? Jia Jiang is kind of a rejection expert–he's gone from a career in the corporate world to the risky world of entrepreneurship. To conquer his fear of rejection, he started the 100 Days of Rejection Therapy blog, where he documented an experiment in which he willfully sought rejection on a daily basis. Now he's authored a bestselling book, and owns a company dedicated to helping people overcome their fear of rejection. In this episode, he shares what he's learned over the years on how to turn fear into triumph.

In this episode of Start With A Win, Adam welcomes Jia Jiang, CEO of Rejection Therapy and CEO and Founder of Wuju Learning. Jia discusses how he transitioned from the corporate world into a career dedicated to rejection. Jia initially experienced failure in the early stages of his entrepreneurial endeavors after leaving the corporate world. Instead of giving up, he decided to document his failed experiences via blogging, which led to the concept of rejection therapy. Jia discusses how innovation and entrepreneurship require taking risks, which can lead to rejection. He explains that people must learn to convert rejection into personal fuel to stay motivated and persevere after rejection. This technique requires practice, which entails intentionally pursuing rejection. For example, Jia committed 100 days to experience daily rejection. This exercise trained his mind to become accustomed to rejection, removing the fears associated with it. He performed unusual tasks such as asking for burger refills at restaurants and requesting a haircut at a pet store. He advises to start small and focus on daily habits—if you are not comfortable with solely asking for things in return, approach by asking to give acts of service. The more you face rejection from “silly” things, the more you can overcome any rejection, no matter the significance. Fear of rejection creates internal conflict, causing regrets and missed opportunities. He explains people often experience the most remorse when they prioritize living up to other people's expectations instead of their own. Once you incorporate rejection into daily interactions, you will feel more prepared and confident in business endeavors. He explains how the fear of rejection can cause people to prefer a path with the least resistance in hopes of remaining in their comfort zones to achieve success. Jia emphasizes that the most successful people have experienced challenging decisions and situations, ultimately shaping who they are and contributing to their success because they chose to take risks.Links:TED Talk - What I Learned From 100 Days of Rejectionhttps://www.ted.com/talks/jia_jiang_what_i_learned_from_100_days_of_rejectionConnect with Jia:https://www.linkedin.com/in/jiajiang/https://twitter.com/jiajianghttps://www.rejectiontherapy.com/https://www.loveinvestor.com/Connect with Adam:https://www.startwithawin.com/https://www.facebook.com/REMAXAdamContoshttps://twitter.com/REMAXAdamContoshttps://www.instagram.com/REMAXadamcontos/ Leave us a voicemail:888-581-4430

Michael graduated from Harvard in 2019 where he studied philosophy with a focus in computer science. He blogs daily on his popular website "Billion Dollar Startup Ideas" and has advanced that passion for startups into writing a book called Unlocking Unicorns, due out in August of 2021. The book is unique because it profiles 10 startup founders from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East - most of whom you've never heard of - who built billion dollar companies. In this conversation, we riff on the personal tactics of startup founders from his book that can be applied in our own lives - because not everybody has aspirations to build a billion dollar company, right - as well as dive into his own story - purposefully getting rejected everyday in high school, business lessons learned from his Ghanaian grandma, personal maxims that guide his decision making, and how he redefines time to be most productive. Rachel and I often encourage our clients to do informational interviews when they’re trying to discern whether a certain career path will be a good fit for them. Why? Because nothing quite beats hearing real people’s stories and getting honest feedback about the all questions you have (but maybe feel weird asking in a real interview). Usually when I suggest this, though, my clients feel super resistant to the idea. And I get why — it’s incredibly vulnerable to reach out to strangers and ask for help, guidance, feedback, or mentorship. Elise Austen felt just as resistant about trying informational interviews, but once she committed to it, she got better results than she could have hoped for. Not only did get she lots of clarity on what career track she wanted, but she ended up with some great friends and mentors who have gone above and beyond to support her. How did she do it?? That’s what I’m here to ask her in this week’s interview with a normal person. We got into… How having her plans completely derailed by the pandemic ended up motivating her to get more intentional about her next career moves. How hard it was for her to hit send on that first message, and how she overcame the awkwardness. Her brilliant strategy for getting over being too attached to results. A breakdown of how many people she reached out to and how many of those actually turned into helpful connections. How to make asking for informational interviews feel like a win-win, instead of a selfish ask. After you’ve listened, leave us a comment to share how this conversation resonated with you! MORE ABOUT Elise Austen Elise Austen is currently an assistant based in Chicago, navigating her 30s and trying to find the next step in her career. Three months ago, she decided to jump into the unknown by booking a one-way flight to Europe ... but, she had to change course when the world threw her a curveball. Now, she's using this forced pause to reevaluate her choices and get more intentional.  IF YOU LIKED THIS, THEN YOU’LL ALSO LOVE… Blog: Why you should get down with informational interviews (May 2018) Rejection Therapy with Alex Grodnik (June 2019) Finding a dream job after years of searching with Teanca Shephard (September 2018) GET TEXTS FROM CLARITY ON FIRE! #012 Rejection is an essential companion on the path to success. Most people, as soon as they face rejection, either take it personally as an evaluation of their worth, or run away never wanting to feel that sting again. This leads to people taking less risks, not persevering enough, and staying barricaded in their comfort zones, decimating their growth and their potential. However, when you understand the true nature of rejection -- and it's something I can bet you have never thought of or even heard before, you can finally be liberated. Not because of positive thinking or affirmations -- which are things I love. But because of a true understanding of the pattern of success in life and in reality. Then, you wake up every day with a smile, and look forward to the first rejection of the day. That first rejection that you'll face with an amused smirk, and keep going strong, with renewed enthusiasm each time. Because, as Churchill said: "Success is going from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm." There is a pattern that will make keeping your enthusiasm as easy and as natural as ever, so keep listening.Music: THBD - Good For YouSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/storybonding)

In Episode 15, I shared about asking for what you want. I went through the simple steps of understanding why it’s important to you, getting clear on what it is you want and then making a plan to just ASK for it. But, in our conversations, and from what I know to be true in my own life, there’s this extra LITTLE piece that presents a huge challenge to us. We can literally do everything right, we know exactly what it is we want to ask for, why it’s just so, so important to us, but sometimes, our fear of what the reaction will be on the other side, paralyzes us. Today I want to share some advice I’ve learned about how we can help ourselves overcome this fear of rejection and it’s in the form of a little game called rejection therapy.

In 2015, he authored a bestselling book, Rejection Proof: How I Beat Fear and Became Invincible Through 100 Days of Rejection. Several years after Jiang began his career in the corporate world, he took a life-altering risk and stepped into the unknown world of entrepreneurship. His result was everyone's biggest fear: rejection. This was the catalyst that set Jiang on the path to his true calling. To conquer the fear of rejection, Jiang embarked on a personal quest and started a blog, 100 Days of Rejection Therapy. His journey revealed a world that was hidden in plain sight -- a world where people are much kinder than we imagine. He discovered that rejection can be much less painful than we believe and that the fear of rejection is much more destructive than we know. Jiang grew up in Beijing, China and migrated to the United States at age 16. A few weeks ago Kristen and I were out to lunch and we couldn’t help but overhear the conversation happening between the people at the next table.

The man said to the woman, “If millennials had helicopter parents, then Gen Z has snowplow parents—They’re constantly clearing any obstacles or difficulties in their kids’ path.”

We were intrigued and, quite honestly, it’s hard to deny the truth of that. We can all think of plenty of examples that prove that point.

What baffled our unwitting lunch companions, and us too, is how short sighted “snowplow parenting” is.

When a kid reaches adulthood and they’ve NEVER had to struggle, fail, be rejected, or challenge themselves, then they are completely unequipped for life in the real world. They become incredibly fearful, anxious, and overwhelmed, to say the least.
Failure, struggle, and rejection help people grow and become healthy, well-adjusted adults. But most of us are still afraid of those things, even if we’ve been through them before.
In this month’s interview with an expert, we talked to Alex Grodnik, host of the Moving Up podcast, about how to desensitize yourself to failure and rejection. He’s a living example of how quickly you can get over your fears! We talked to Alex about: How he suppressed his innate entrepreneurial nature to pursue more “traditional” success with a high profile job on wall street, and why that didn’t satisfy him at all. Why he quit that high paying job, and why his friends from wall street are jealous of him, even though some of them make nearly $1,000,000 per year! How he’s been rejected at least 1,000 times since starting his own business, and why that hasn’t stopped him. Little ways you can strengthen your failure and rejection muscles, so that you’re more resilient and not as easily scared. After you’ve listened, leave a comment to let us know how Alex’s advice landed with you! And if you’ve got an opportunity to implement some “rejection therapy” in your life, we’d love to hear how you plan to do that. MORE ABOUT ALEX Alex is the co-founder of fintech startup Payclub, a free app that allows groups of friends to manage and budget money together. He's also the host of the Moving Up podcast, where he interviews business leaders (like the co-founder of Venmo, and the founder of Facebook) about the struggles and successes they've encountered all the way. Alex got his MBA from UCLA Anderson. His background is in investment banking, working for JPMorgan and Houlihan Lokey, and then in the strategy group of a digital media company in Santa Monica.

#117 Last year I heard a couple of interviews with Jesse Itzler. He was promoting his book 'Living With A Seal.' The gist of the book, do the hard, uncomfortable thing. Do the thing that scares you. This is where personal growth happens. I was motivated by this and looked to challenge myself. Here are three of ways I did so. Naked Yoga Being publicly naked I thought, I have to try this. As with all of these activities, I was very intimidated at first. I didn't want anyone staring at me. I kept my gaze straight forward most of the time during the class. I did sneak a few peeks as we changed positions. After a while, it wasn't so bad. I've done it three times to date and have enjoyed it each time. Rejection Therapy The group organizers had a list of activities we were to do in public. Then, in turn, our unaware test subjects(i.e. 'the public') would tell us 'no.' Ridiculous activities such as asking someone out on a date, hugging a stranger, ask for a selfie with nearby shoppers. I went out with a group of other gentlemen who'd done this before. This put me at ease. I've done this activity one time but look forward to revisiting it sometime this year. I found both Rejection Therapy and Naked Yoga on Meetup.com. Teaching a dance class Most of the people who follow me on social media know me from dancing. I've been dancing socially at parties since I was 15. I thought why not capitalize on this and teach a dance class. Dancehall specifically. I taught a solo class 3 years ago, and 1 person showed up. This crushed my confidence and turned me away from attempting this again. A burning feeling started to emerge in late 2017. When I would dance practice at the gym, I visualized myself teaching. I bit the bullet and decided to commit. 3 friends showed up this time, I was flattered. I feel it went well. These 3 activities have bolstered my spirit of adventure. They've made me mentally stronger and more capable of facing (most)upcoming fears head-on. I bunch problems into this same space. Work problems specifically. I'm changing my focus to look forward to them as opportunities to test my skills and learn new solutions to old challenges. 2018 is going to be great. #95 I was recently between jobs. I had a little more free time than usual, which I’m always happy to have as long as there is money in the bank. Listening to some of my favorite self improvement/motivational podcasts two things were suggested that I took to heart. 1. Scheduling fun everyday. 2. Get out of your comfort zone by participating in activities you haven’t before. Daily fun. By scheduling a fun activity (activities that I might consider fun, a gym class, yoga class, volunteering, just to give a few examples), on a regular basis, the daily monotony of our routines can be broken. It empowers the feeling of making life worth living. I heard James Altucher talk about this in on one of his podcasts and I thought it was brilliant. Doing new things to get out of your comfort zone. I listened to a couple of interviews from Jesse Itzler regarding his book, ‘Living with a Seal’. My main takeaway from these interviews; do the hard thing, this is where we grow. We hardly remember the compliments or good times. The hard times, the down times, the painful times, this is what plays over in our minds again and again. A micro example for myself; I brush my teeth after eating dinner, but save flossing for later. With this new mindset, I will tell myself this is where I’m having resistance right now, which is even more of a reason to floss right now. It doesn’t mean that one has to be in a place of suffering all the time, but having the satisfaction of going through the fire and knowing that your leveling up because of it, can enrich one’s life. Meetup.com is a great resource for this. Group activities with others supporting you along way, in doing the new and uncomfortable. Two meet ups I’ve recently attended were Naked Yoga, and Rejection Therapy. Standing naked, doing yoga poses with a room full of naked people sounds intimidating at first. It wasn’t so bad after a while. Rejection therapy was a lot of fun. A group of us approached strangers and asked for selfies, hugs. Odd requests such as cutting in line or asking a pretty girl out to dinner, with the goal to be ..rejected. I left these get-togethers grinning from ear to ear. Feeling great having conquered fears. I will be going back! Episode 45: Jia Jiang came to the United States with the dream of being the next Bill Gates. But despite early success in the corporate world, his first attempt to pursue his entrepreneurial dream ended in rejection. Jia was crushed, and spiraled into a period of deep self doubt. But he realized that his fear of rejection was a bigger obstacle than any single rejection would ever be, and he needed to find a way to cope with being told no without letting it destroy him. Thus was born his "100 days of rejection" experiment, during which he willfully sought rejection on a daily basis--from requesting a lesson in sales from a car salesman (no) to asking a flight attendant if he could make an announcement on the loud speaker (yes) to his famous request to get Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the shape of Olympic rings (yes, with a viral video to prove it). Jia learned that even the most preposterous wish may be granted if you ask in the right way, and shares the secret of successful asking, how to pick targets, and how to tell when an initial no can be converted into something positive. But more important, he learned techniques for steeling himself against rejection and ways to develop his own confidence--a plan that can't be derailed by a single setback. Filled with great stories and valuable insight, Rejection Proof is a fun and thoughtful examination of how to overcome fear and dare to live more boldly.  Here's what we discuss in today's episode: How Jia wasn't raised to face rejection in his childhood My biggest fear today How and why Jia started "100 Days of Rejection" Rejection Therapy Jia's very first rejection (and how he reacted to it) His most impactful rejection assignment (watch here) The most painful interview in the English dictionary How the fear of rejection is linked to disordered eating The lack of control we have over other people's reactions and opinions Jia's most terrifying rejection assignment The best starting point for getting rejected if you want to try rejection therapy How rejection therapy helps you with your responses to others as well (No is just as important as yes!) Fists clenched, hidden iPhone filming from his shirt pocket, Jia Jiang stands in a glossy-tiled shopping mall in east Texas. And, as if tugged by a magnet, he ambles towards a seated security guard. With beads of sweat gathering at his temples, Jia plants his feet. The guard glances up. Jia swallows. “Can I have a hundred dollars?” This is Jia Jiang’s first foray into the world of deliberate rejection. And he will continue deliberately seeking rejection for one hundred days.     Have you ever walked up to ask someone for something, and been terrified of the response? Maybe it was asking for a raise. Maybe a bank loan. Maybe it was asking someone on a date. You feel your chest tighten, heart rate increase. And all of a sudden your little request starts looking more like Everest the closer you get. The fact is, the fear of rejection paralyzes us all.   In this interview you will learn:   - Jia's inspiring story of how he overcame the fear of rejection - Tactics and strategies of how you can overcome rejection too - One of the coolest stories you will hear - What it takes to become a successful entrepreneur   I Need Your Help!   If you haven’t already, I would love if you could be awesome and take a minute to leave a quick rating and review of the podcast on iTunes by clicking on the link below.
