Now that the political drama around gas stoves has waned, it's time to discuss the science. Here's what all the talking heads got wrong. Does secondhand weed smoke cause asthma? Maybe, though the most recent study cited as evidence isn't all that rigorous. Join host Cameron English as he sits down Dr. Chuck Dinerstein to break down these stories on episode 33 of the Science Dispatch podcast: Cooking with Gas The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) recently concluded that gas stoves have polluted our indoor spaces. So polluted that “more than 12% of current childhood asthma cases in the US can be attributed to gas stove use.” Could that be true? Only if you believe in Mathmagic. Childhood Asthma and Second-Hand Cannabis Smoke Asthma is a significant disease; among children, the prevalence is between 7 and 11%. The exacerbation of asthma by second-hand tobacco smoke is well documented, but as smoking tobacco has declined, smoking wacky weed has increased. What effect has this second-hand smoke had on “the children?”

It's Cheech & Chong's 50th anniversary! The epic comedy duo is best known for their cinematic pot smoking antics, but Cheech's palate is far more sophisticated than stoner snacks. The enthusiastic cook first tasted chicken marbella, from the legendary Silver Palate cookbook, at a dinner party and he swore he heard angels singing. The Silver Palate cookbook "changed the way Americans ate" when it came out in 1982, and host Rachel Belle chats with its editor, Suzanne Rafer about the impact it had. And chef, cannabis cookbook author, and founder of Laurie + Mary Jane edibles, Laurie Wolf, joins the show to talk about how far we've come from the ubiquitous potent pot brownie. His smoking progressed to addiction, which he got ahold of during the pandemic. If you have a similar story you want to share, send an email to my inbox anze@mylastjoint.comBestAnzeClick here for more info
Imagine this, your 12 years old again and your mom dropped you off at a friends earlier in the evening. The wind is howling, the sounds of bats flying around, and sticks falling to the ground are sneaking in through the backdoor of the basement you just cracked open as quiet as possible. Did anyone hear? Let's hope not ... because it's 1 AM and you can't get caught sneaking out. Especially because tonight is a big deal, it's your first time getting high. You can't f*ck this up. Next thing you know your lips are inside a musty Gatorade bottle and you're inhaling like your life depends on it. "I need more!" you demand. Thoughts are calm inside your head because "No one gets high they're first time" At least that's what you were told. F*ck were those kids wrong. YOU'RE BAKED ...

Keep the city clean and there is a need for people to keep their storefronts clean and homes and buildings to keep the streets better smelling Adams joked about all the pot consumed but the biggest laugh is who is making all the money since most of the sales are illegal considering there no legal dispensaries et licensed in the city for recreational use. Many ask is city hall too stoned to care about the average city dwellers problems? What issues are there that need to be addressed? Lets listen in and oh yeah that is me and the Mayor in the show art. His people said they will agree to one on one with between him and me - one day - maybe - someday who knows? Welcome to another wonderful week to check out the cannabis industry. This is Elliot lane, host of BENZINGA CANNABIS DAILY PODCAST.let's dive in. We got some California news to start off our day. We do have earnings. I was hoping I might get a break from those. Just kidding. There are great news, but at the same time, wow. How many earnings did we go over last week? But back to California, governor Gavin Newsome is looking to combat the illicit cannabis market and make the legal industry more competitive in large part by zeroing out the cultivation tax businesses currently incur among some other items, but. What a move. In terms of this is what people have been pining for what seems like years. So I'm so glad he's finally listening. This isn't a budget proposal by the way. So this is not a law yet, or a, an adjustment of a law. But we'll see how. Progresses. I would say this is very positive news for the California cannabis industry. If you're looking for stocks to watch based off this news, obviously this will not be immediately effective for any of these companies, but take a look at the parent company at state house and or Harbor side. Take a look at glass house group. There are several to look at. Speaking of California. This is more on the side, six elementary aged students or taken to the hospital after eating cannabis laced, Cheetos were provided by another student at the school. So they are not bought at the school or from the. And apparently the student did not know that his or her Cheetos were laced. Then when you read the article, one student says the other student added a little bit of something to the Cheetos.I don't know. We'll see what happens here. Hopefully this isn't another case of that Florida bride lacing her wedding feast with with weed. But this obviously is not the first time that this has happened. So this is unfortunate per the AARP study occurred. Okay. 500,000 people between the ages of 40 and 69 focused on heart health, close to 35,000 of those people reported smoking cannabis 11,000 reported smoking more than once a month.Researchers controlled for age, gender, and body mass, which all have an impact on the heart. Findings of this, where those who reported smoking weed more than once a month or more likely than others to have a heart attack. More than that, frequent users were more likely than those who abstained to have their first heart attack by the age of 50, which means there, there will be more chance for heart attacks after the age of 50.This is an interesting bit of news. Obviously, this. Something that's very focused on heart health. There, there was quite a bit of science in the article as well. So I recommend looking that up and checking it out for yourselves, for sure. Columbia care CC HWF on the OTC reports, their first quarter revenues of $123 million up 43% year over year. But down 12% sequentially reiterate their guidance of 625 to 675 million for the year. I will say. Across the board. Q1 is seasonally a down time for cannabis companies as reported by pretty much every major cannabis executive from operationally driven cultivation focuses to people not buying as much after the holidays. You do see some solid numbers and increases or flat. Lions like true leaving, purely for spectrally. But overall, the seems to be the trend CBW TF that is Oxley a up and coming licensed producer in Canada reports. Their first quarter revenue declined sequentially 23% to 22.6 million Canadian. But it's up 147% year over year, they continue as the top market share position for cannabis. 2.0 products per their press release Medipharm labs, M E D I F sees a slower Q1 as well. Revenue of 4.9 million down, both sequentially and year over year, they entered the U S pharmaceutical market for an FDA drug master file or a D M S.For pure natural CBD API. This is the first for Canadian companies that I believe or first for Canadian companies entering the U S and second for overall north American DMS, Verano, VR, N O F and Tyson 2.0, both launch mobile apps. Check those out Verano for their Zin. Leave Tyson 2.0. Tyson 2.0 a Delta nine, the LTF on the OTC also reports the company closed an acquisition in Q1 of 17.Dispensary's bringing their total to 35 brick and mortars. They also completed a strategic financing of 10 million from sundial and other credit facility of over 30 million. The revenues were down 13.2 million at two 12.5 million year over year. Overall, I think there are a company to. They are definitely have been improving and trending up recently. But also that sundial financing is interesting last but not least Ohio activists and state officials have reached an agreement for marijuana legalization to not be on the ballot this year. But I've reached a lawsuit settlement that puts the campaign on a path for 2023. All right. Y'all who is the winner today? There's not a whole lot of positive reports going on. I'm going to keep Delta nine on my watch list. I'm going to keep Columbia care on my watch list just because they're Columbia care and because of Columbia care, Cresco labs. But that being said, keep an eye on the California companies and how they move.On that news from governor Gavin Newsome and the budget proposal there. This is Elliot lane host of cannabis daily. Thanks so much for tuning in. We'll do this the rest of the week. In this coaching episode Susan shares how her almost 18-year-old son isn't in legal trouble, is doing fairly well in school, works, and also smokes pot daily, which has her worried. She wonders if she'll regret it down the road if she doesn't engage him in formal treatment before he turns 18.It's a story many can relate to, knowing your son or daughter could be worse, and at the same time knowing they could be better. Susan talks about what she believes led to her son's substance use, including a divorce from her husband who was dealing with his own addiction. She works on getting clear about what she most fears, and what she can and can't live with related to her son's substance use. We brainstorm communication tactics that might allow Susan and her son to have more real conversations and talk about the possibilities of more serious drug use. I can't thank Susan enough for her vulnerability in allowing her coaching session to be used as a way to help other parents in the struggle.

Why I LET GO Of Smoking Pot | Making Space For My Dream Life | Law Of Attraction . #Lawofattraction #balance #letgo. Hey everyone, in this video I'm getting real personal with you & sharing why I felt it was necessary for me to let go of smoking pot, why I quit smoking weed & exactly how it impacted & changed my life in magical & powerful ways. When you let go of things that are no longer serving you, well you mentally, spiritually, & physically make room for things that will serve you. For me personally I came to the realization it was a crutch & as I progressed in my life & spiritual jounrey, I had to ask myself. How much longer am I going to need crutches? Now this may or may not be the case for you, keep in mind this is what happened for me & what helped me in my own experience. I understand we are all on different journeys, learning different things at different times. Maybe it is serving you still, & that is completey okay. I'm not here to knock or bash it, for I know it has benefits especially for the people who are using it for medicinal purposes. I have even seen CBD stop sombody's seizsure right on the spot. But for me in my experience, I was using it for a different reason, & it stemmed from a deep underlying feeling that I was unworhty to live the life I desired, & I had self limiting beliefs that I was not good enough, & that my desires were'nt being met. This is one of the main reasons wh I picked it up in the first place, my self limiting beliefs & lack of self worth told me that I wasn't good enough to live the life I truly desired, & therefore I used marijuana believing that it was ehancing my experience to which I was settling for. Eventually I learned meditation, which does not have any negative side effects unlike weed can make you sleepy or at least has SOME kind of side effect on you. I had to ask myself what was really important to me, & the more I began to let it go, I was able to take my attention & my focus back & place it into thingst hat were actually helping me evolve into who I truly knew I was meant to be. Stick around until the end of this video & you will understand exactly what I'm talking about. . . . # Why I LET GO Of Smoking Pot | Making Space For My Dream Life | Law Of Attraction, why I let go of smoking pot, making space for my dream life, law of attraction, why I let go of smoking weed, why I had to stop smoking pot, why I had to let pot go, why I let smoking weed go, why I had to let pot go for good, how I created balance in my life by quitting smoking, how I made space for my dream life by letting pot go, meditation with christopher, identity shifting, emodying future identity, quit smoking pot, why I let mary go, marijuana, why I let marijuana go --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/meditationwithchristopher/support
Jason Wilson, manager of the ETFMG Alternative Harvest fund (ticker MJ) says that investors who believe that the investment opportunity in legalized marijuana is from pot shops and people smoking dope are missing the much broader uses of cannabis and its potential in pharmaceuticals and biotech business and more. While the small names have attracted attention of risk takers, he says sticking with established companies -- and looking at supportive businesses -- is a way to reduce the Wild West elements of the industry. Also on the show, Dave Lamb, head of closed-end funds for Nuveen talks about how municipal bonds have rebounded sharply but haven't recovered pre-pandemic highs -- unlike investment-grade corporates -- making them attractive now, Davis Martin of The SPY Trade of the Day discusses how the market's movements are being dictated by moving averages, and David Norris, head of US credit at TwentyFour Asset Management covers the credit business and how it has responded to the lower-for-longer interest-rate environment.

In our current What in the World Part 2 series, we are answering questions you had asked us at the end of last year. This is week 6, and this was the question: In Genesis 15:17 it says that a smoking fire pot and flaming torch passed between the halves of the animals Abraham cut in half at God’s direction. What is the significance of the fire pot and torch moving between the halves? It’s a good question because our present understanding of covenant and redemption takes shape during this moment.

Find your wings and you will fly. That's a version of what kids are told at Phoenix based New Pathways for Youth. More specifically, they are told to figure out which wing is the strong one and which wing is the weak one. That way, they stay airborne. It's a concept that helped 16 year old Catalina turn her life around. The teen was hesitant about joining the intensive, “all-in” mentoring program — at first. She was suspicious and closed hearted. Mainly because her life, to this point, had been very choatic. Catalina paints a picture of a badly broken home with a father who put alcohol above everything else. “It's only him and alcohol. That's all he worked for — alcohol.” Her mother struggled to pay the bills as Catalina fell deeper and deeper into a black hole of failing grades and drug use. Until she met Christine Leavitt. Leavitt, a mother of five and practicing attorney, was approached to become a mentor. Despite the fact that she was incrediblybusy, she was (remarkably) up for the challenge. “I always believe that you have time for what you really want. You make the time,” Leavitt says. “So, I decided I would go try.” It turned out to be transformative in her own personal growth. First, Leavitt had to figure out how to identify with Catalina — whose family background was very different from her own. “I come from a Mormon background, extremely conservative,” Leavitt says. “I wondered how I would relate? What do I know about their world and how can I insert myself in their lives.” It wasn't easy. You've heard the term “helicopter mom”? Well, Leavitt was a little bit like a helicopter mentor. She constantly tried to push Catalina, and her other mentee, to do better, especially in school. “The more I pushed, the more they pushed away,” she says. That's when the breakthrough happened and Leavitt learned to approach the girls “on their terms”. She established a deeper trust and stopped trying to force them to figure everything out at once. A year into their relationship, Catalina is a changed teenager. “I started seeing who I really was,” she explains. “I started seeing this is not who I want to be. I started noticing how Christine is a great person. She's my role model and I want to be just like her.” For Leavitt, a decision to make time for a troubled teen, turned into a life changing experience. She is now watching Catalina move closer to college and a life she never thought possible. Leavitt says the crucial role mentors play is showing kids — many who come from backgrounds that are truly hard to imagine — that they can choose to break the cycle. “This can be your reality,” Leavitt tells her mentees. “It's hard and it will take work, but it is the hope that we have.” The post Why Mentoring Matters: How A Phoenix Teen Went From Smoking Pot and Flunking School To Find Success appeared first on Inspired Media 360 TV - Inform | Inspire | Engage.
