Ramesses goes back to school. Luxor Temple is a magnificent monument, in a city full of them. The sanctuary you visit today is, in large part, the work of Ramesses' early reign. New pylons, colossal statues, obelisks, and dedicatory texts provide the testament to the young pharaoh's work. Exploring these, we also get a surprising insight into temple archives and educational facilities, embodied in the Per-Ankh / House of Life... Secret of Christ in Egypt? Jesus the Amen! | Cub Kuker Supernatural Podcast (EP523) In this video, I'm going to uncover the fascinating connections between ancient Egyptian mysticism and the teachings of Jesus Christ. I'll show you how the Egyptian god Amun-Ra, known as the “hidden one,” symbolizes the unseen divine presence, and how this parallels Jesus being called the Amen, the faithful and true witness, in Revelation 3:14. Just as Amun merged with Ra to reveal the divine, Jesus is the unseen God made visible (Colossians 1:15). I'll also dive into symbols like the Ankh, the Eye of Horus, and the Great Pyramid—ancient emblems that foreshadow Jesus Christ and His mission. The Ankh represents eternal life, the Eye of Horus mirrors divine perception, and the Pyramid with its missing capstone speaks to the divine completion of God's plan through Jesus, the true cornerstone. In this video, I'll help you see how these Egyptian mysteries were not just relics of the past, but hidden truths pointing to the ultimate revelation in Jesus Christ. —— “Unlock Supernatural Abundance Through the Ancient Mysteries of God's Kingdom!”

TRUTH NUGGETS 19 part 1 In this vidcast (video), "Against the Gods," we will again study God's word in its historical context. However, this time we add a new perspective to our study. We will continue to ask what those early believers heard and saw and understood when they first heard God's word. But, we will also see how God comes against the pagan gods and man made religions in the ancient Middle East in very unique ways in His word. This time we will see how God taught His people, the Hebrews, in ways that would make sense only to them in their day. We would not recognize it as we read the Bible. God is writing to a people thousands of years ago using concepts only they understood and not us. Dr. John Currid, a highly credible Egyptologist, archaeologist, and theologian, wrote a book entitled, "Against the Gods." His thesis in the book is to show us how we in the 21st century miss how God taught His people in their time using things they were familiar with. Here's an example Dr. Currid uses his paper, "The Nature of Polemical Thought and Writing." He writes ... A STRONG HAND - Some common expressions found in ancient Egyptian texts to describe the power of Pharaoh over his foes are that the monarch had “a strong hand,” or “he possessed a strong arm,” or he was “the one who destroyed his enemies with his arm.” It is ironic that the author of the book of Exodus assigns the same features to the Lord as he humiliates and destroys Pharaoh and Egypt (Ex. 3:19–20; 6:1; 7:4; 15:6, etc.). James Hoffmeier, a famous Egyptologist, comments on this parallel, asking, “what better way for the Exodus traditions to describe God's victory over Pharaoh, and as a result his superiority, than to use Hebrew derivations or counterparts to Egyptian expressions that symbolized Egyptian royal power?” For most of us this would have escaped us completely. We are not familiar with ancient Egyptian writings nor are we into the ancient culture and customs on Egypt in the days of Moses. But, God is clearly inspiring Moses to use an Egyptian idiom that the Hebrews would have been familiar with. God uses this to come against Pharaoh and show His power over Pharaoh and all Egypt. In this way God uses something Egyptian to teach His people about Himself and His character. However, we will also see that these amazing lessons that made sense to those first believers also make sense to us today in the 21st century. Ready? Let's begin our first lesson. Let's see how God uses Genesis 1:1 to teach His people coming out of Egypt that He is God and not Amun Ra. Let's also see how this relates to us today, us being His people, and knowing that God never changes (Mal. 3:6). He was the same 3400 years ago and today. In lesson 5 we focus again on the critical verses in Genesis chapter 1. In this session we will address the concept of God creating everything through His word; creating everything by simply saying let it be and it was - out of nothing - EX NIHILO. And, in addition, this lesson will introduce the idea that to understand the Torah we need to understand ancient Egypt of the 18 Dynasty at the time of the Exodus. The Hebrews likely have assimilated into the Egyptian culture and, for the most part, do not know the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. So how does God take Egypt out of the Hebrews? This concept is called "polemic theology" where a polemic is a concept that is diametrically opposed to a competing concept. In this case who is God? Is it Amun-Ra, the supreme pagan false god of Egypt in 1446 B.C. or is it Adonai Eloheem, the Lord God of the Bible? How would the true God teach the they mythology of Egypt is false and incorrect using Genesis 1:1-2? For further study check out the links below. We tackle some of the most important gods in the pantheon so we can be a little more familiar with the subject ahead of our Kane Chronicles discussion. As always, we also catch you up on all the latest Riordanverse news, including the official synopsis for The Spirit Glass by Roshani Chokshi, as well as the dates for Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro's in-person The Sun and the Star book tour. Lastly, we kick off our Kane Chronicles read with The Red Pyramid chapter 1. Remember, we're keeping this discussion spoiler-free! New episodes of Prophecy Radio air weekly, and all ages are welcome to tune in. News and updates (00:06:48) Are we going to change the name of our podcast? Spoiler alert: No. If you're interested in Kristen's favorite Best Picture nominees for the 2023 Oscars, be sure to read her article! And don't forget to read Nichole's article about Everything Everywhere All at Once. Becky has been reading along to Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods 50 pages at a time, and it's really channeling the kids from the show. Read Riordan gave us the official synopsis for The Spirit Glass by Roshani Chokshi, as well as an exclusive look at Rick's introduction to the book. If we weren't already excited for this one, Rick's high praise definitely would've done the trick. Rick also posted a March 9 blog post in which he gave us the dates for his The Sun and the Star book tour with Mark Oshiro. Yes, the rumors are true—Karen will be at the Boston stop! Keep an eye on Rick and Mark's Twitter for when the NYC tickets go live. These two will also be at the ALA conference in Chicago, which takes place June 22-27. This is for librarians, though, so it's pretty expensive if you're not a member! Introducing the Egyptian gods (00:18:32) This is going to be a brief overview because there are literally hundreds of gods we could talk about. Karen got her list from Britannica. Starting off with Osiris, did you know he used to be a king? Getting reassembled doesn't sound too fun, but at least it came with a promotion. But was he eternally moldy? Isis was Osiris' wife and embodied the traditional virtues of a wife and mother. She also had a lot to do with mourning and funeral rites. Even though she sounds a bit like Hera, she was more closely identified with Aphrodite. And her depictions with her son, Horus, could've influenced depictions of Mary with Jesus. Next up is Horus, the sky god, who was associated with war and hunting. So many of the Egyptians gods were shown as animals or as humans with the head of an animal. Imagine being raised to avenge your father's murder. No pressure! Did you know that the moon is actually Horus' left eye? Set is definitely NOT the god of desserts. We wonder what kind of mythical creature he was supposed to be. Have you heard of Ptah before? What about his wife, Sekhmet, or his son, Nefertem? Ra, the sun god, is one of the most well-known Egyptian gods, and he sounds a little like Apollo. Is there a reason why Ra sailed in a boat and Apollo drove a chariot? We definitely get a lesson on how Amun-Ra came to prominence. Who would win a fight, Amun-Ra or Apollo? How does Hathor differ from Isis? It kind of makes sense that Hathor was associated with cows. Next up is Anubis, which is another very well-known Egyptian god. Any fans of The Mummy here!? A lot of the gods are associated with funerary rites. Everybody gets a patron god, even embalmers! Thoth is the scribe of the gods, and we get Hermes vibes from him. He also has the very important job of weighing the hearts of the deceased. Have you heard of the goddess Bast? Even though she used to be associated with wild cats, she's since taken the likeness of a domestic cat. Of course Kristen has a West Wing story for this. It makes sense she was associated with Artemis, the hunter goddess. The Kane Chronicles: The Red Pyramid (00:41:49) This week, we're reading The Red Pyramid chapter 1. Kristen and Karen decide to share their dreams even though it has nothing to do with the book. This opening chapter really sets up the dynamic between Carter, Sadie, and their dad, plus makes you ask a lot of questions. It also totally gives us some Percy Jackson vibes thanks to the warning in the beginning. Does Kristen have any guesses as to what the item in the locker could possibly be? Carter and Sadie are very different, and they hardly see each other, so they're not even really friends. Do Carter's grandparents not like him either? We can't wait for the Netflix adaptation of this book! Muffin HAS to be important, right!? Guess which Kane sibling we relate to most? Guess what? Karen has totally seen Cleopatra's Needle in person! Does Kristen have any idea what's going on with their dad? What do we think of the siblings so far? Feedback (01:11:01) Caoimhe writes in to remind us that Hecate is associated with The Mist. She also gives us a great idea for a future episode of the show. We love hearing from our listeners! Henry also wrote in to bring up a couple fantastic points. Do we think they'll show Hestia in Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 1? Which book does Henry like the least? What about the most? Favorite character? How do we feel about a Percy Jackson audio drama? Katherine writes in to talk about why she loves Titan's Curse. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 75, where we'll discuss how Greek and Egyptian mythology may have influenced each other before tackling The Red Pyramid chapter 2. In this episode we go deeper into Israel's journey through the "Sea of Reeds" and how it was a reenactment of the Abrahamic Covenant in Genesis 15. In the same way that Abraham cut animals in half, with God passing through those animals in a smoking pot of fire, God cuts the sea serpent "Apep" aka. Rahab or Leviathan, in half and passes through - with the Israelites - in a pillar of cloud and fire. By doing so, God not only cuts the realities of his covenant with Abraham into the forces that would seek to stop that covenant from being fulfilled, he also demonstrate to the Israelites that Yahweh - not Amun-Ra - has the ultimate power over the realm of the dead. Jesus, of course, fulfills this imagery when he passes through death and comes out on the other side victorious, cutting through the serpent's power of death over humanity to make a way out - exodus - of death for all who will join him in his death and resurrection. Key Passages: Exodus 14:13-31 Psalm 74:12-17 A blog article by Michel Heiser that explores the significance of Rahab, Leviathan, and the crossing of the "Sea of Reeds" as spiritual warfare. Isaiah 51:9-11 A blog article the explores what it means to "cut Rahab in pieces." In this episode we move on from passover and into Israel crossing the Red Sea. We look at the various terms used for the body of water Israel crossed, such as "Sea of Reeds" and "Sea at the End", and how those terms relate to the way Egyptians saw death, the underworld, and the afterlife. We also explore how Amun-Ra, symbolized by the Sun, would have been connected to the "Sea of Reeds", along with the Egyptian serpentine figure of Apep who ruled the underworld. All of these places and spiritual figures are directly related to the story of Israel crossing the "Sea of Reeds", and the more we know about them the more we appreciate what God is doing in this monumental event. The crossing of the "Sea of Reeds" is a paradigmatic story that creates an interpretive lens for how God delivers from death. Luke understands this, which is why he calls Jesus' death and resurrection an "exodus" in Luke 9:31. Isn't it interesting that Moses and Elijah - two people who had "exodus" type experiences show up to encourage Jesus as he is about to pass through death? In this episode we start digging into how our understanding of the passover lamb in the Exodus as a symbolic representative of Amun-Ra helps us understand Jesus being identified as the passover lamb in the Gospels, as well as other passages in the New Testament. Equating Jesus with the passover lamb presents a bit of a riddle because it implies Jesus is somehow being equated with Amun-Ra. However, the answer to this riddle is found when we recognize an important distinction between the story of the Exodus and the story of Jesus. In the Exodus narrative, the "evil" force empowering Israel's slavery was external to the Israelites - it was a god that YHWH was judging, with Pharoah as a key embodiment and agent of that god. In other words, the enemy was an entity located outside of their human nature. Contrast this with the Gospel narratives - especially John - that locate the "evil" force empowering our slavery as being internal to our human nature. In other words, it is the power of sin in our flesh that enslaves us (John 8:31-36). When the gospel writers identify Jesus as our passover lamb they are not saying Jesus is Amun-Ra. They are saying that the forces that enslave human nature were successfully killed and overcome in Jesus. But in order for that to happen, like the Israelites at the Exodus, Jesus had to partner with God in battle against the forces of evil in his own human nature. Through his incarnation, Jesus makes contact with the power of sin in the flesh and successfully overcomes it, with the most intense portion of that battle taking place in the events leading up to, and including, his crucifixion. This is one of the reasons Matthew, Mark, and Luke want us to realize that Jesus' death took place at exactly the same time that the passover lambs were being killed in the temple. John in the book of Revelation also sees Jesus in this way when he describes Jesus as being worthy to open the scroll precisely because he has overcome the forces of evil within himself, something no one - in heaven, on the earth, or below the earth - has ever done before. Key Passages: John 1:14; 3:6; 6:63; 17:19 - the word flesh is characterized in John as being primarily negative. Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34, Luke 23:44 - Jesus dies at around 3pm in the afternoon. Revelation 5:1-10 - Jesus is worthy because he has overcome the forces of evil, not only the internal forces in his own human nature, but also the external forces that seek to leverage those internal forces for their own ends. In this episode we take some of the lessons about the meaning of Passover from the previous episode and look at how John recounts the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3 in highly suggestive ways. For example, the Passover for Israelites was kind of like July 4th for Americans - it was a national holiday that celebrated the nations independence from tyrannical rule by an oppressive regime. In short, it was a birthday celebration. The reason Jesus talks with Nicodemus about being "born again" is that the feast of Passover was when Israel was "born" as a nation and liberated from the enslaving power of Pharoah. Jesus is essentially telling Nicodemus that his status as an Israelite does not guarantee his freedom from enslaving powers. Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus during Passover is filled with irony when we recognize that one of the ways John presents Jesus in his Gospel is as the Passover lamb. For example, Israelites were supposed to kill the Passover lamb at 3 in the afternoon - in broad daylight - to identify themselves with God in his battle against Egypt and Amun-Ra, its chief god. But notice Nicodemus, even though he believes Jesus has come from God, goes to Jesus at night so that he can avoid being identified with Jesus. Key Passages: John 2:23-3:10 Exodus 12:1-2 - That Israel was essentially "born" at Passover is evidenced by Israel's calendar starting over with the month of Passover. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/onelifenash/support

The artist Amun-Ra offers a repertoire of conventional “Hip Hop” and metaphysical nuances that creates a hypnotizing spiritual experience. Definitely today's feeling toward the ascension of humanity. The hypnotic rhythm, beats and vocals are syncopated into a conglomeration of hip hop ecstasy can be all found in his music. The lyrics bring you to another level of consciousness. Something the “conscious community” yearns for and quenches the thirst of the spirits. He is the oldest and the most worshipped ruler of ancient Egypt. Amun Ra simply means: Hidden Light (Amun = Hidden/ Ra = Light) Recent research findings show us that Amun (Amen or Amon) is a modern god, within the ambits of Egyptian mythology. Historians also believe that the famous Sun temple as the capital of Thebes was recorded only during the period of 11th dynasty and onwards. The god Amun was so successful in replacing that irrepressible god of war, Montu, as the main god of Thebes during the early periods of the New Kingdom; during this interlude, he started getting his recognition as the King of Gods. In Egyptian mythology, Amun is the ram with extremely curved horns; ram signifies fertility, as symbolized by ram's great proactive and fertile energy! Osiris - Osiris (/oʊˈsaɪrɪs/, from Egyptian wsjr, Coptic: ⲟⲩⲥⲓⲣⲉ, romanized: Ousire) is the god of fertility, agriculture, the afterlife, the dead, resurrection, life, and vegetation in ancient Egyptian religion. He was classically depicted as a green-skinned deity with a pharaoh's beard, partially mummy-wrapped at the legs, wearing a distinctive atef crown, and holding a symbolic crook and flail. He was one of the first to be associated with the mummy wrap. When his brother, Set, cut him up into pieces after killing him, Isis, his wife, found all the pieces and wrapped his body up, enabling him to return to life. Osiris was at times considered the eldest son of the earth god Geb Isis - Isis (Ancient Egyptian: ꜣst; Coptic: Ⲏⲥⲉ Ēse; Classical Greek: Ἶσις; Meroitic:

In part 1 of lesson 37 we will learn about the father of the gods. He is Amun Ra. He was the head god in the 18th dynasty at the time of the Exodus in 1446 B.C. We read in TORAH the following … Now it came about at midnight that the LORD struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle. (Exo 12:29) Amun Ra had an only son, the moon god Khonsu. One can say that it is like the father of the gods lost his only begotten first born son on the first Passover on the night of the full moon. This strikes really close to home for a Christian. What is the Lord God teaching us? Here's links to study the Egyptian Trinity of Gods. Link 1 is on Amun Ra and link2 is on his wife, Mut, and his only begotten son, Khonsu. Link 1 – https://www.memphis.edu/hypostyle/meaning_function/amun-re.php Link 2 - https://www.memphis.edu/hypostyle/meaning_function/mut-khonsu.php Rev. Ferret - who is this guy? As we put the Bible into its historical context, we find our understanding of the first Passover is extremely limited from what is taught in traditional Sunday churches and Messianic groups. But, as we delve into the fact that the Exodus and the Passover are so affected by Egypt, its ancient culture, and pantheon of gods, the Passover takes on a deeper and more awesome meaning. In this lesson (part 2 in this mini series on Exod. 12:1-14) we ask the question why did God wait till the 15th of the month to come and kill the first born in all Egypt? The dads of each household picked a lamb or goat less than 1 year old on the 10th of the month and kept it until the 14th. It was to be sacrificed on the evening of the 14th and after sundown, which means it is now the 15th of the month, at midnight, the Lord let His final hammer fall; the Lord executed the first born on all Egypt. Was there something special about this night, the 15th of Nissan? Was it somehow different from other nights astronomically? Did it relate to Egypt, its gods? Once we study this we will be blown away and our understanding of the Passover we be expanded and enriched. On top of that we will see how it relates to Jesus, the Last Supper (the Passover Meal of the Messiah), His death, and resurrection. We will more see the awesome connection in that on the 15th on Nissan probably in 30 A.D. the first born and only begotten son of the Father, The Lord God, was executed. What we will learn is that it was the same in Egypt for Amun Ra, the “father” god of all the gods of Egypt. Rev. Ferret - who is this guy? What's his background? Why should I listen to him? There were over 2,000 gods in the Egyptian pantheon. These ranged from Amun-Ra who was the god of sun and air, to Sopdu who was a god over a specific border and the forts on that border. In our episode this week we fast forward hundreds of years from end of Genesis and find the Israelites trapped in the land of these thousands of gods. The irony? It was in this place, surrounded by statues and symbols and sweating under the strain of servitude, that Israel would truly come to know their own god, the One God, or better said, the God is, actually, present everywhere and every time. On this episode we chat with Austin-based singer and songwriter, Emily Shirley, and gain some insight into her musical career and creative process, along with discussing our usual topics of influences, cuisine and Bermuda triangle bands. Emily has a rapidly increasing catalogue of fantastic songs. She has released a plethora of singles in recent years reflecting a variety of issues and current events we have come to know, some via the inspiration and timelines of Austin's prestigious 11:59 Songwriting group. Though her topics vary from thanking first responders for their bravery and service (Everyday Heroes) to surviving a Texas winter storm (Survivors), Emily's brand of thoughtful pop/rock is consistently as finely tuned and polished as her freelance graphic design projects. Her latest single, "The Last Time" taps into our mortality and the fleeting nature of relationships and life. A Connecticut native, Emily was steeped in church choir, musical theater, and Debbie Gibson at a young age. Classically trained on piano and a seasoned singer in acapella choirs, she found her place as a vocalist and writer when she joined the Boston-based soulful pop and electronica band, Amun Ra. The band released 2 full length albums and toured the Northeastern U.S. in her 6 years with them. In 2006, Emily moved to Austin, Texas and realigned her musical existence. Now a mother working at starting her own business Emily "had to carve out solo space and find a way to let music work with my lifestyle,” She rediscovered a love for piano and began writing, gigging and even teaching for a stint at Red Lead School of Music. Her EP Tiny Truths was released in 2010, produced by Daniel Barrett. In 2013 Emily joined Austin pop favorites The Belle Sounds on piano, synth, and vocals. The band has toured Texas and the West Coast as well as performing at iconic venues like the ACL Moody Theater in Austin and The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. In 2017 Shirley also joined The Big Fix, a harmony driven indie rock band founded by Nathan Harlan. Over the next few years Emily released a series of singles that culminated in the releases of two EPs, Duotone (2015) and Courage Up (2018, produced by Mark Hallman and engineered by Andre Moran at The Congress House Studio in Austin). Whether she is performing solo, with her full band, the Belle Sounds or her latest project, a cover trio entitled Sister Golden Hair, Emily has definitely established herself as a vibrant and talented force in the Austin music scene. Shirley tells life stories through song, revealing interesting characters and settings in a way that the listener still finds relatable. Emily Shirley's artistic point of view and skillful sonic experimentation make for a varied and stirring repertoire. “My formative years are still happening,” she jokes when describing her musical life, the honest response of a musician and creator always on the lookout for the next spark. In the 9th plague God brings darkness upon all Egypt for three days. It is a darkness that the Torah says can be "felt" and it was a "thick" darkness. It was so awesome that people did not even move or seemingly travel around for the three days. What is going on? Some say it was a dust storm from Arabia. They try and make it a natural occurrence. Many try and make the plagues something that can be explained. But, in this case. This darkness is unnatural. One could feel it. It was so thick it prevented moving around. And, it probably was a blackness, unnatural, since it related to the religion of the pagan Egyptians and the Hebrews who had bought into the wrong story and assimilated into the pagan Egyptian culture. For the Hebrews they may have seen it in light of what was familiar to them then. It may have been that the Hebrews, and even many Egyptians, as a picture of the Lord bringing back the darkness prior to the creation as understood by the Egyptians. One must study the cosmologies of the Egyptians, their creation myths, to understand how this might relate. In Exod. 12:12 the Lord says He will come against ALL the gods of Egypt. This darkness, this total lack of light, is as if God took all Egypt back to the days before Amun-Ra, the sun god, the god of light, creates himself. This is taking the earth back to primordial state that the Egyptians said was total chaos. Pharaoh's job was to prevent chaos and preserve Ma'at. Ma'at the supreme goddess of truth, order, peace, and harmony and well being. But, Pharaoh could not. But the Lord brought upon all Egypt the chaos that all Egypt lived to stop and preserve Ma'at. There is a cute video on YouTube that does a good job on the Egyptian creation myths. Egypt was one of the world's first civilizations, with a history that reaches back 5000 years through the sands of time. It's where writing and two-dimensional drawing and paper began. The god Amun-Ra personified the sun shining down on the deserts — and Osiris, the god of death, inspired a belief in the afterlife that led to the construction of the pyramids. Life in Egypt clings to the green ribbon of the Nile River that snakes through the country with humans and animals along its length. It's home to hippos, the Nile crocodiles, and the asp — the poisonous snake that may or may not have sealed Cleopatra's doom. It's also a stopover for millions of birds migrating from Europe to Africa. Egypt has also been the crossroads for human invaders for centuries: Ottoman invaders, Napoleon Bonaparte, and the British. In the past few decades, there's been rising tension and violence between religious conservatives (see: the Muslim Brotherhood) and secular factions. But the Egyptian people you'll meet on the street? They're friendly, welcoming, and eager to show you the country they love. And with good reason. In addition to the massive shrines in the desert, there's a world-class museum with the largest collection of ancient artifacts in the world and mosques decorated with breathtaking mosaics. You can also sail on a romantic felucca (Egyptian sailboat) along the Nile, scuba in the Red Sea, navigate the sci-fi calcium formations in the White Desert, or simply enjoy a cup of tea while watching the hustle of daily life. In this episode, we explore Egypt's dynamic dynastic history, enjoy the antics of King Farouk, dish about 'The Mummy,' and lots more. Then we recommend five books we love that took us there on the page: a fantasy about the djinn, a coffee table book of Egyptian antiquities, a novel about sisters navigating the Arab Spring, and two fictional approaches to history that cast a spell on Mel. In episode #50 of The XS Noize Music Podcast, Mark Millar catches up with Chloe and James of Wings Of Desire to talk about their fantastic new EP Amun-Ra. Amun-Ra moves on from the observant nature of debut EP End Of An Age and into a more inwardly focused journey of self-discovery. It is named after the ancient Egyptian deity, the transcendental creator of the universe and the god of light. It represents unlimited and boundless freedom. It explores the trappings of time, ageing, and looks back with a nostalgic glow on past misdealings and successes. Amun-Ra leaves breadcrumbs for anyone growing up and asking the big existential questions on life, lighting the way for the disenfranchised. Sonically the EP continues the exploration of 60s pop songwriting, noise rock, and euphoric atmospherics, and lifts it into new horizons. Produced by the band and mixed by kindred spirit Vincent Cacchione (Caged Animals). It includes both ‘Choose A Life', and ‘Better Late Than Never'.

The conquest of Egypt by Alexander and establishment of the Ptolemaic dynasty differed from previous foreign invaders like the Hyksos or the Persians. While the Ptolemies would very much present themselves as traditional pharaohs, they would bring thousands of Greek immigrants, founded poleis, and imported Greek culture en masse. For the indigenous Egyptians, Ptolemaic rule required them to live with two "faces": those like Manetho, an Egyptian priest of Amun-Ra who composed an influential history of Egypt in Greek known as the "Aegyptiaca", would continue to work under the new regime. Others were able to exploit "Hellenization" as a means of advancement, seen in the archives of the mixed Greco-Egyptian military family of Dryton and Senmonthis-Apollonia, revealing the complexities of ethnic and cultural identity. But we also can see the tensions between the Greek and Egyptian communities, which could explode in bouts of violence and rebellion. In this episode we look to see how the Egyptians responded to the arrival of a new political, social, and cultural elite. Amun Ra the hidden god, creator of the Egyptian mythology of the ancient Egypt. Amun was the original Egyptian god accountable for the origin of the Egyptians. Also known as Amon, Ammon, Amen and Amun Ra, this Egyptian creator god was considered to be the king of Egypt, and therefore father of each pharaoh of the land. The story of the hidden Amun ra, was believed to have populated the world through masturbation under the role of Amun-min the god of male sexuality and vigor, elsewhere as the god banebdjedet he was thought to spiritually impregnate the queen of Egypt so that they could give birth to the kings and pharaoh of egypt. In ancient history, the great pharaoh Tutankhamun, which means the image of Amun was the son of the pharaoh Amenhotep IV or Akhenaten who disliked the cult of Amun first named his son Tutankhaten, the living image of the solar disc Aten. the story of Amun ra is probably the most popular amon the Egyptian gods.

This is a new vidcast (all videos) series entitled, "Against the Gods." In this series we will again study God's word in its historical context. Currid uses his paper, "The Nature of Polemical Thought and Writing." He writes ...A STRONG HANDSome common expressions found in ancient Egyptian texts to describe the power of Pharaoh over his foes are that the monarch had “a strong hand,” or “he possessed a strong arm,” or he was “the one who destroyed his enemies with his arm.” It is ironic that the author of the book of Exodus assigns the same features to the Lord as he humiliates and destroys Pharaoh and Egypt (Ex. 3:19–20; 6:1; 7:4; 15:6, etc.). James Hoffmeier, a famous Egyptologist, comments on this parallel, asking, “what better way for the Exodus traditions to describe God’s victory over Pharaoh, and as a result his superiority, than to use Hebrew derivations or counterparts to Egyptian expressions that symbolized Egyptian royal power?” For most of us this would have escaped us completely. The Spiritual Descent of Inanna Welcome to the Ancient Tree of Life. In this podcast, we will be discussing information from a meditation that I performed on March 26, 2019. This would have been during the time of my annual personal Ancient Sumerian and Babylonian AkiTi or Akitu. The AkiTi or AkiTu is a very old celebration at the beginning of the Spring Equinox. The celebration is based on the old Sumerian and Babylonian reverence of the Ancient Anunnaki. More specifically, it is a celebration and acknowledgment (and reunion) with the God Marduk and his rise to power in the Pantheon. As Marduk rose, so do we rise. From out of the darkness and depths of the long and cold winter months, back into the birth of the sun and the revival of life on the planet. In this particular podcast, we will revisit some of the thoughts and correlations that I had. Much of those correlations are between that of Ancient Sumer and it's sister counter, Ancient Kemet. Note: At this time, I was still somewhat new to the Ancient Sumerian system. I made references that Ancient Kemetic knowledge and information was adopted from the Ancient Sumerians. This is not entirely accurate. There is much-suggested information from various authors stating the Anunnaki were here before human civilization. Which I no longer believe to be true! The purpose of this podcast is not logical and linear history. But more so, the correlations between Ancient Sumer and Ancient Kemet and how these two great ancient civilizations had much in common and were tied together by the rise of Marduk. It is known that Marduk became Amun Ra, which I believe, represents an attempted invasion by ancient Babylonians in Kemetic Egypt. It is also my belief that this is why we have more lore about Ra than about the Goddess Aset in history. History is written by the victors and tends to be more modern in nature. Our goal is to uncover, reveal, and experience the origins of spirituality. That which is tied to the Goddess or Matriarchal Times.

For further study use this link to study the idea that the Hebrews had assimilated into the pagan culture of Egypt.
