Fr. Mike encourages us not to be discouraged about the small things happening in our lives, because just as we see through Zechariah's visions, God takes small things and turns them into great triumphs. He also touches on the dedication of Israel to rebuild the temple, and the connection between the crowing of Joshua and the crowning of Christ the King. Today's readings are Ezra 5-6, Zechariah 4-6, and Proverbs 20:8-11. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/bibleinayear. Please note: The Bible contains adult themes that may not be suitable for children - parental discretion is advised.
Al and Zach kick things off by playfully debating the biggest Robertson “tattletale,” with Jase catching most of the friendly fire. Christian Huff admits he's not a fighter, and John Luke says he might be able to take his younger, much bigger brother, Will. The guys trace Joseph's story, from the colorful coat that annoyed his eleven brothers to the Egypt years. John Luke reflects on Joseph's naïveté throughout his journey, from being sold into slavery as revenge to becoming one of the most powerful men in Egypt. Zach illustrates how a family feud becomes a family rescue and how this line ultimately sets the stage for Jesus, the Lion of Judah. In this episode: Genesis 1, verse 28; Genesis 9, verse 1; Genesis 37–50; Genesis 42; Genesis 45, verses 3–7; Exodus 1, verses 1–7; Revelation 5, verses 1–6 Today's conversation is about lesson 6 of The Genesis Story: Reading Biblical Narratives taught by Hillsdale Professor Justin Jackson. It's acceptable now to say, “I am spiritually searching.” But it's not really acceptable to say you've found anything. But the Bible says you can find God. Not just search for God, but find God. And the famous passage about the burning bush, where Moses finds God, is very important—it gives you all of the basic principles for truly finding God. And until the same three things that happened to Moses happen to you, you can't find God. Looking at this passage, we can see three stages: 1) the burning bush is a disrupting event, 2) when Moses gets closer he sees it's an unmanageable power, and 3) in the midst of the burning bush, there's an angel. It's Festive Friday, and for this episode we were joined by Alonso to dig into a holiday movie that is absolutely insane.ABOUT CIVIL CHRISTMASDuring the Civil War, a wounded Union soldier falls in love with a Southern woman while taking refuge in her cabin on Christmas Eve.AIR DATE & PLATFORM FOR CIVIL CHRISTMASJuly 2, 2024 | VODCAST & CREW OF CIVIL CHRISTMASSophie Bolen as Aura-LeeKyle Patrick Douglas as DouglasAndrew Dawe-Collins as Grandpa CharlieBRAN'S CIVIL CHRISTMAS SYNOPSISWe're dropped into the Civil War as I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day plays.Cut to this woman in her cabin. She hears a sound outside and thinks it's her grandpa. She runs out and, for some reason, bursts into Hark the Herald Angels Sing. Then she goes back in and sings a song that—honestly—makes it sound like she's in love with her grandpa. I don't know. There's a knock at the door. She grabs her gun and finds a wounded Yankee outside. Even though helping him could get her in trouble, she brings him in and stitches him up. He falls asleep, wakes up, and hears her sing O Holy Night—after which he just casually mumbles that he loves her. They eat and sing Up on the Housetop together, which somehow inspires her to decorate for Christmas. There's something off about this guy, but I can't quite place it. Then he recites A Visit from St. Nicholas and asks her to sing again, so they do The First Noel. That's when he breaks the news: her grandpa isn't coming home. He says they spent hours together by a fire, had a heart-to-heart, grandpa wrote a poem to God…and then died. To cope, she sings Silent Night. Naturally. They have a quick “nuanced” conversation about slavery and then immediately slide into What Child Is This. She says goodnight, and that's when he drops the bomb: he actually killed her grandpa after grandpa shot him in the back. Oh, and by the way, they knew each other as kids and were first loves. He gives her another letter from grandpa, and they cap it all off by singing a slow version of Jingle Bells. He proposes, she says yes, and they celebrate on the porch. Then—plot twist—it turns out they're in one of Krampus' snow globes, and suddenly everything makes sense. In October of 1991, a young mother in San Diego thought she was just surviving the aftermath of a divorce, raising her infant daughter, and working long hours. But what happened in her home that month became one of the most chilling true haunted house stories you'll ever hear. It began with a sound — moaning in the night — and the sight of a phantom arm, clothed in a jacket sleeve yet transparent. Her baby cried from a room turned ice cold, though it was a warm California night. That was only the beginning. The next night brought terror. Frozen in bed, unable to move, she felt a crushing weight on her chest. Panic rose until a massive glowing orb ripped itself off her body, vibrating and fluttering before shooting through mirrored closet doors and vanishing into the night like a UFO. At 3:00 AM, two nights in a row, she fought back — screaming, praying, demanding, “God's my Savior, you cannot have me or my daughter.” Her child cried again in the freezing nursery, though her sitter dismissed her fears. Even her grandfather — a no-nonsense Navy engineer and skeptic — began experiencing strange phenomena: lights crawling up walls and the apparition of a man in a cap silently standing by his chair. Was it sleep paralysis, a demonic attack, or something darker tied to the home's energy? Whatever it was, it left scars of fear, faith, and survival. #TrueGhostStory #HauntedHouse #RealHauntings #DemonicEncounter #SanDiegoHaunting #RealGhostStoriesOnline #ParanormalStories #3AMHaunting #SleepParalysisOrSpirit #TheGraveTalks Love real ghost stories? Julie Lopez's earliest memory is chilling: as a young child, her great-grandmother placed her inside a circle of fire, a ritual meant to consecrate children to demonic spirits. From that moment on, her life was marked by an unusual awareness of the spiritual realm. She encountered angels who intervened to save her life, apprenticed under a witch, and even bound herself to a high-ranking demon. Her childhood was anything but ordinary. The breaking point came when tragedy struck. The event was undeniably connected to the witchcraft practices she and her mother had once treated as part of everyday life.In this episode, Julie shares her testimony in raw detail. We also talk about the possibility that witchcraft contributed to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and how, just as with the death of Jesus, God can bring good fruit out of acts of great evil. This conversation will expose the reality of the spiritual battle unfolding in our nation and within our families. Now more than ever, we are called to put on the armor of God and stand firm against the forces of evil that are shaping our culture through false value systems and the growing influence of the occult.Julie's website: https://www.julie-lopez.com/NEW: Join our exclusive Rose Report community! https://rosereport.supercast.com - We'll have BTS footage, ad-free episodes, monthly AMA, and early access to our upcoming guests.A big thanks to our partner, EWTN, the world's leading Catholic network! What happens when one of the greatest comedians of our generation sits down to share not just laughs—but the wisdom, faith, and life lessons behind his journey? This conversation with Jeff Foxworthy is more than an interview—it's a masterclass on humility, purpose, and what truly lasts. Jeff is known as the best-selling comedy recording artist of all time, with a career that has spanned decades on stage, television, and beyond. But in this conversation, you'll meet the man behind the jokes. Jeff opens up about his roots, the pain of growing up with an absent father, and how those experiences shaped his commitment to family and faith. He shares how comedy wasn't just a career—it was a God-given gift, one he's worked to steward faithfully over the years. What moved me most about Jeff isn't just his success, but his perspective on identity and legacy. He reminds us that what you do isn't who you are. Fame, wealth, and achievements all fade, but character, kindness, and faith endure. As Jeff puts it, attaching your worth to temporary things—whether beauty, muscles, or material success—will rob you of lasting joy. True identity comes from something eternal. This episode is full of wisdom for the next generation. We talk about living with humility, the danger of bitterness, and why forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. Jeff's reflections are as real and grounded as they are inspiring, and they'll leave you evaluating your own life, not by what you've achieved, but by the legacy you're building for those who come after you. This is one of those rare conversations that's bigger than entertainment—it's about faith, purpose, and the timeless lessons that outlive us all. If you've ever wondered how to stay grounded in success, how to pass on wisdom to your children, or how to live a life that matters long after you're gone, you'll want to lean into every moment. Key Takeaways: Why your identity should never be tied to temporary success or circumstances The power of seeing your gifts as a responsibility, not an entitlement How childhood wounds can become fuel for building stronger families Why forgiveness and humility are central to living a free and fulfilled life How to think generationally and leave a lasting legacy of faith and purpose This isn't just an interview; it's a legacy conversation. Jeff's words will make you laugh, make you reflect, and make you think about the story you're writing with your own life. And the best part? This is just the beginning. Stay tuned—Part 2 of my interview with Jeff Foxworthy is coming soon.

God has given the Church his law as “the way of life and truth.” We, therefore, have the right to be taught and guided while maintaining a spirit of docility in love. In this, Fr. Mike reminds us that the Church is our caring mother. Her care extends into the five precepts of the Church, those laws establishing the very minimum needed to remain an active member of the Body of Christ. These have to do with attending Mass, receiving the sacraments, fasting, and providing for the needs of the Church. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 2037-2043. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/ciy Please note: The Catechism of the Catholic Church contains adult themes that may not be suitable for children - parental discretion is advised.

LightSpeed VT: https://www.lightspeedvt.com/ Dropping Bombs Podcast: https://www.droppingbombs.com/ What if OnlyFans' millions hide a deadly trap no one escapes? In this bombshell episode of Dropping Bombs, I sit down with Kelly Webb—a former OnlyFans star who raked in $4M before walking away from it all after finding God. Kelly unveils the dark underbelly of the platform—sex tapes, exploitation, betrayal, and the spiritual void that left her feeling like she'd sold her soul. From childhood abuse and addiction to the tragic death of her fiancé, Oregon Ducks tight end Spencer Webb, Kelly carried trauma that fame and money couldn't heal. Then came the supernatural signs—like discovering she was pregnant during Spencer's memorial—that pulled her toward faith instead of destruction. Now she's shutting down her OnlyFans and warning women everywhere: the platform lures with cash but delivers emptiness, ruin, and a soul-crushing price tag. No gimmicks. No filters. Just bombs about grief, God, and the truth behind “easy money.”
In Isaiah 58, does God condemn his people for having too much delight in his ways? Pastor John distinguishes hypocritical pleasure from true, generous joy in God.

What do you do when it feels like your prayers aren't breaking through? In this week's Walk It Out Wednesday, Sarah Jakes Roberts revisits her message “Break the Barrier” and goes deeper into what true repentance looks like in our everyday lives. She unpacks the barriers that block our sound — shame, pride, ignoring conviction, clinging to old identities — and shows us how humility positions us for revival. Through practical teaching and real questions like “How do I move forward from shame?” and “What do I do when I feel stagnant?” we learn that God never disowns us, even in our failures, and His Spirit gives us the power to release a sound that heaven cannot ignore. Touré Roberts then adds a powerful reflection on the Feasts of the Lord and how their prophetic meaning points us back to Christ. Together, we closed our churchwide fast with communion — a reminder that this is a season for alignment, renewal, and fresh encounter with God. Don't miss this intimate and timely conversation. Message: “Walk It Out Wednesday: Break the Barrier” Speakers: Sarah Jakes Roberts and Touré Roberts Date: Sept. 24, 2025 ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don't have to walk this journey alone. Let Jesus guide your steps and fill your life with purpose and peace.

Many of us remember our most embarrassing moment. Maybe we said something we shouldn’t have . . . or did something we shouldn’t have. It may have been silly or something serious but we remember everything about that moment. Sometimes our sin can be like that. We know the Lord has forgiven us, but we’re not too sure we’ve forgiven us. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us see just how complete the Lord’s forgiveness is. It’s just as if it never happened. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar welcome guest Cal Smith from AIG Canada to discuss artificial intelligence and the lies it may tell. Cal, a longtime speaker on creation, shifted to video and social media during the COVID-19 pandemic, and his ministry has been effective. Recently, he started experimenting with AI, producing authentic, minimally edited video series that only include a hologram overlay. Mark shares his initial amazement at AI's capabilities, but the guys agree that fact-checking is crucial. Elon Musk has warned that AI could be more dangerous than nuclear war, while surveys show that Gen Z is increasingly using it for therapy and relationships. This raises the question: what authority are young people giving to AI?Cal explains that AI is only as good as the data it's trained on. He emphasizes that, at its core, it's still just a chatbot and cannot be taken at face value. Though sophisticated systems can be accurate, they still slip. Cal sets strict parameters—mathematics, logic, and observational science—when engaging with AI. Within those boundaries, he finds that AI reaches conclusions opposite to evolution; yet, when parameters are removed, its answers revert to mainstream assumptions. For Cal, this underscores the importance of critical thinking, a gift from God that Christians are called to preserve. The danger lies not in AI itself but in people handing over discernment. The guys reflect on how society has shifted from books to Google, then to YouTube, and now to AI, with each shift eroding critical thinking. Christianity, they note, has always been a thinking faith, and believers must evaluate information carefully, grounding truth in Scripture. Cal wants his videos to show people that answers must be known for themselves, not outsourced to technology. He notes that the main pushback has focused on concerns about AI's dangers, including skepticism from atheists and non-believers regarding the use of parameters in his conversations. His approach reveals bias, highlights contradictions, and directs viewers back to the authority of God's Word. For those concerned about AI, Cal recommends trying it out to better understand the tool. He recognizes its positive aspects: research, pattern recognition, and handling mundane tasks. He warns against trusting it entirely, as it reflects human bias. The guys conclude that AI, like a vast library, is only as useful as the person using it. Ultimately, logic supports Christian truth, but salvation and transformation come only through the gospel. Stay sharp, keep hearts rooted in Scripture, and use tools wisely without losing critical thinking or faith.Send us a textThanks for listening!
