Jemele Hill has made a name for herself speaking truth to power as a journalist. She is also masterful at synthesizing the intersection of sports and politics. During his first administration, Hill was willing to go where many of her peers wouldn't when she famously called out Donald Trump. Jen Psaki sits down with the “Spolitics” host and Atlantic writer to get her take on what she thinks Democrats should be doing to show voters they are willing to fight back. After putting in work for the set and beating the case with an openly bias judge, Proud Boys Gang Member, Kyle Rittenhouse, fails to grift off his own name. This story is coming to you from Phoenix Calida's show notes and I had no idea how ridiculous it got with this guy. From ANDREA JEFFERSON "I don't have to explain to most of you who Kyle Rittenhouse is. He's the 21-year-old who shot three men, two fatally, during the civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020, when he was aged 17. Rittenhouse was acquitted at his trial in November 2021, and testified that he had acted in self-defense. We all saw the videos. A minor possessed a gun of war that he shouldn't have had, and killed two men. He's awful. And in the years since, all he has wanted to do is become a MAGA spokesman. And mostly, he's been allowed. There are tons of photos of him with Donald Trump, the Trump family, as well as many other top MAGA figures. If there's a MAGA event, he's there. But do you know who he's not there for? His mother Wendy and his sister Faith. At least that's according to Faith Rittenhouse's GoFundMe looking to raise money so they don't get evicted. And what Faith wrote was rather heartbreaking." It's a beautiful time to be in conversation with the lovely Tara Thomas. Tara is a chef, community organizer, and co-founder of the nonprofit, Breaking Bread, and also provides consulting and creative direction in the world of food. In this episode, we chat about her deep hunger (literally) and passion for food ethics and how that evolved into a career focused on bringing awareness to people's authority over their wellbeing. Tara shares how it was important for her work life and personal life to blend, and we discuss Tara's vision dedicated to food politics and change the world, as well as the importance of rest in contrast to buzzy creative energy. Plus, Tara shares her relationships to fungi and mushrooms and we compare notes on what kind of mushroom we're currently foraging. We can all bring more awareness and appreciation to our food. Tara believes that food sovereignty allows us to understand where our food comes from and serves as gudiance for bringing ethical standards throughout every process of producing food — it affects everything and everyone involved. This is a beautiful conversation about creativity, community, and how food sovereignty can provide authority in our own life to nourish ourselves and our communities. World Without Parler, Day 16: America in Crisis (or at least this American) If you were on Parler, you can follow this podcast on Getter, @LRPodcast. We're coming up on the third anniversary of the Liberty Relearned (LR) Podcast. Just as one assault on our freedoms due to the ACA (Obamacare) prompted me to launch LibertyRelearned.com eight years ago, another crisis of our freedoms prompted me to launch this podcast in May of 2020. At that time, we were in the depths of the Covid hysteria and the truncation of our rights that came with it. Soon after, were the riots, looting, and arson that surrounded the Geroge Floyd protesters. After Alvin Bragg took a sledgehammer to the idea of equal justice when he indicted former president Trump, now Soros-backed prosecutor is on the radar of Conservatives, and fans of law and justice in general, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, and not in a good way. An article in Just the News decribes that a St. Louis judge to appoint special attorney in contempt case against Soros-backed prosecutor. Soros apparently believes that too many people of color are being accused and convicted of crimes, so he's decided in the name of equity, to back with millions of dollars, prosecutors and DA's that won't be hard on crime and in prosecuting less criminals, create equity for what are believed to be oppressed minorities. His approach fails to protect the victims, many of whom are also people of color and their communities. Far away from the reality of the dystopia they've helped create, and insulated from their bad decisions, the leftist elite see you as just a notional being, something to be manipulated and controlled with their perverse carrot-and-stick approach. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jp-mac/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jp-mac/support
Rundown - Terrance Roberts - 07:59 Dedication to Juniper Eddy Kay - 01:53:05 Troubadour Dave Gunders - 01:56:59 "Talking In Tongues" by Dave Gunders - 02:21:08 Terrance Roberts talks about everything, including Donald Trump in this provocative episode. Roberts knows the state court system through many criminal justice encounters as the defendant. Now, Roberts, the reformed revolutionary, wants to be mayor of his native Denver. Show starts with a pointed monologue intro on the meaning of the Trump indictment and the ominous disappointment felt when hearing Republican leaders with microphones take the side of Trump against any and all prosecutions. Sad shock expressed at the willingness of Caplis, Brauchler to countenance Trump after his J6 pledge at Waco, his dinner with Nazis, and his bat to head of DA Bragg. Terrance Roberts loved his native Holly neighborhood of Denver so much, he was willing to die for his hood. And his gang. Roberts (Showbizz) was a major Denver gang member, who rightfully spent a decade in prison, and then reformed. Listen to that fascinating journey, and get a taste of life behind bars. Host explains his role in trying to solve and prosecute gang homicides, including his response on A Homicide Duty to the 1988 murder of teen Cameron Smith for wearing a red hat as he rode his bike in northeast Denver. Roberts knew the story and the legend, but got educated on things known to the former top prosecutor in Denver. https://www.westword.com/news/the-original-gangster-rap-5054708 While incarcerated, Roberts exercised his body and mind, and then dedicated himself to helping others with his racial justice, and anti-gang message and organization. When the Holly shopping center burned down in 2008, Terrance Roberts stepped in with peaceful solutions, and obvious leadership skills. Along the way, Terrance Roberts' dream of positivity at the Holly went up in gunsmoke. Terrance Roberts got charged with the shooting of another member of the gang with which he previously affiliated. Fearing for his life, Terrance Roberts went and got his gun, and shot a man numerous times at a public event. Roberts was arrested and charged with Attempted First Degree Murder by the Denver DA's Office. It is the subject of the hit book and movie titled, The Holly. https://thehollyfilm.com/ Terrance Roberts testified at his attempted murder trial, and experienced skillful cross-examination by Denver Chief Deputy DA Henry Cooper. The trial was full of dramatic twists and turns. Along the way, Roberts publicly vented against elected Denver DA Mitch Morrissey for treating him too harshly. When compared to Trump's castigations of NY prosecutor Bragg, Roberts ably defends himself. Listen to how Terrance Roberts became a Denver racial justice protester and a community leader. In wake of Geroge Floyd murder, Terrance Roberts helped lead racial justice groups that were infiltrated by FBI informant, Mickey, as described in Alphabet Boys podcast (our Episode 138). Listen to Terrance Roberts describe his attitude towards Mickey and Alphabet Boys. Terrance Roberts brings hard-earned, fascinating, and provocative perspectives to this wide open Denver mayor's race. He knows the streets of northeast Denver, and the impact of culture and poverty. Terrance Roberts demonstrates that he has an inquisitive mind, sharp intellect, and a desire to help people. Roberts now gets recognized on American streets because of the success of The Holly movie, which is terrific entertainment. So is Roberts on this podcast. Show Troubadour Dave Gunders rocks and rolls the end of the show with his lively conversation, and outstanding song titled, "Talking in Tongues." The origin of the song is discussed along with the legal travails of now indicted Donald Trump in his native NYC. Perfect place for prosecuting the Big Apple's homegrown monster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3e-8WoYM9Pk Trump gave green light for violence to his followers, by singing an anthem with the J6 prisoners, promising them exonerations, and dining at Mar-a-Lago with neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, and Kanye West. Despite this authoritarian dinner, and the bat to Bragg's head picture Trump posted, the GOP and R/W pundits stay with the defeated former president who'll be arraigned on Tuesday, the same day Denver votes for Mayor. What a consequential Tuesday upcoming. What a country, city, and state. What a world, what a life, what a day. The April Fools edition of The Craig Silverman Show is no joke. Terrance Roberts is a serious candidate for Denver mayor. MAGA might be funny (president pokes porn star) if it was not so serious. Enjoy this show.

Former Cowboys running back Marion Barber III has died at the age of 38. ABC News put on Twitter " the former Dallas Cowboys ,running back who scored plenty of touchdowns without recording a 1,000 yard season, has died". Really? Last week the Washington Post put out a tweet commemorating the two year anniversary of Geroge Floyd's death. The only problem is they said Floyd was shot and killed in police custody. This week on Dismantle Racism, Rev. Dr TLC welcomes best selling author Eva Medilek. We are all deeply connected, even though we imagine ourselves to be different from one another based on race, class, gender, and more. We create narratives that prevent us from seeing the wounds of others and/or about whether we are capable of disrupting systems that perpetuate those wounds. Even when we are similar, we might find ourselves shying away from addressing the hurts and pains thrown at us. Do you ever wonder how you fit into the puzzle of ending oppressive systems? Join Rev. Dr. TLC and her guest, Eva Medilek, as they discuss the intimacy of race and the shifts that each of us can take to move us forward in our journey to end racism. Eva will discuss how she changed her professional practices and the importance of communication in creating safe spaces for people of color. Tune in for this important conversation at TalkRadio.nyc or watch the Facebook Livestream by Clicking Here. Segment 1 To start the show, Rev. Dr. TLC introduced her guest, best-selling author Eva Medilek. Eva talked about teaching individuals how to engage in communication. Eva later adds on the importance of staying grounded as an individual and having morning routines to set up success markers.Segment 2 Following the first break, Eva talks about what made her “shift” in her work. She says the murder of Geroge Floyd gave her an awakening which led her to want to teach white people how to speak up correctly. As a result, Eva created an allyship awareness form to have powerful black women speak and have white people listen.Segment 3In the third segment, Eva speaks on the importance of continuing the work of the people who worked hard for us in the past. Next, Eva goes into detail in her book The Intimacy Of Race. Lastly, Eva tells the story of how her father was Martin Luther King Jr bodyguard, leading to a robust discussion of the difficulties of black cops.Segment 4For the last segment, a conversation revolving around listening and creating a safe space. The panic of COVID-19 and high-profile Black deaths like those of Breonna Taylor and Geroge Floyd have led to a rise in Black gun ownership around the country. A survey from the National Shooting Sports Foundation found that gun dealers reported a 58-percent increase in Black customers in 2020, the most rapid growth of any ethnic group. Twenty-four-year-old Jeneisha Harris is worried she could be another Breonna Taylor. Harris is a student and activist in Nashville, Tennessee. She grew up anti-gun, but feels vulnerable and wonders if she should arm herself. On this episode of Into America, Jeneisha Harris tells Trymaine Lee about the pros and cons she’s weighing as she decides whether to get a gun. And Lee speaks with Philip Smith, the head of the National African American Gun Association about the long tradition of Black gun ownership, and why he thinks all Black people should be armed. Untold Stories: The Cases That Shaped the Civil Rights Movement
In this episode I look at Strauder v. West Virginia (1880), the first in a long line of cases dealing with discrimination in the jury selection process. Jury duty is a very important topic in the history of black rights. I believe that it is just as important, if not more than the right the vote. And this country has a long history of intentionally excluding blacks for juries, which has allowed whites guilty of brutal crimes against black to go free (e.g. George Zimmerman). It has also led to countless blacks being sent to prison by a jury that is not comprised of their peers. As we look to see if the murderers of Ahmaud Arbery and Geroge Floyd are brought to justice, the composition of the jury will be critical. I anticipate that the defense attorney(s) will attempt to knock all the black people off the jury. Hopefully, the state won't allow it, but I'm not holding my breath. I wrote more about the long history of discrimination on juries and you can read by clicking on the link below Article: http://www.palookesworld.com/i-do-not-know-of-any-negro-a-brief-history-on-the-exclusion-of-blacks-from-juries-in-america/ Twitter: @plaookesworld Instagram: @palookesworld www.palookesworld.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvWkh1FxD-EbUQRAxmou37Q
When it comes to race relations, 2020 has caught a lot of us off guard. When protests broke out in response to the killing of Geroge Floyd, we saw diverse crowds out in the streets. More and more white people began asking what they could do to uproot the racism that plagues America. These conversations on race are crucial. But as writer Damon Young points out, they can also be really strange.Damon Young is Black, a senior editor at The Root, and founder of the blog Very Smart Brothas. He’s also the author of “What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Blacker.” Young noticed an uncomfortable pattern: more and more white people want to start conversations about race. He says there’s a time and a place to talk about things like police violence, lynching, and slavery. That time is not while he’s taking a walk around his neighborhood or standing in line for ice cream.Young wrote about his experience in a New York Times op-ed entitled, “Yeah, Let’s Not Talk About Race––Unless you pay me.” On this episode of Into America, Trymaine Lee talks with Young about how he finds humor in these moments and how it shapes his work as a Black writer. For a transcript, please visit https://www.msnbc.com/intoamerica.Further Reading and Listening:Yeah, Let’s Not Talk About Race. By Benjamin Reese In this episode, you will hear a weariness in both mine and Gregg’s voice. This podcast was recorded several weeks ago, just days after the news of Geroge Floyd’s murder and the protests, and these event still weighed heavily on us. To make sense of it, to find perhaps some solace or direction, we turn to Jesus and his words. I had asked Gregg about Luke 13. I guess I had found Jesus’s response frustratingly curt and his talk about sin and repentance out of place. To get me to see what Jesus had really been up to in this communication, Gregg dug into the cultural and historical context of Jesus’ day. The somewhat academic discussion concerning Galilee and the political power of Rome helped me to begin to see the relevance of Jesus’s communication, as I continued to try to make sense of what was happening in our country. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/theologicalthoughts/support
In the wake of Geroge Floyd's death, a wave of people across the country rose up to demand social justice. But when will that wave crash? When will this movement, like those movements before it, die? Will it be in November, when young people traditionally skip out on casting their vote? Or will protesting be enough to change the foundation of a country under scrutiny?

Shamanic Mister Judith Blackburn talks about her new book Activating Your 5D Frequency: A Guidebook for the Journey into Higher Dimensions. We are in a great time of transition. Higher Frequency light is flooding our planet, awakening large numbers to reclaim our original nature as fifth-dimensional humans. Judith tells us how to access and live in the energy of 5D while being a spirit living a human's existence in 3D. Judith has gifted our listeners with a message regarding the energy around the death of Geroge Floyd from a 5D perspective, titled Current Events Through our 5D Eyes, which is posted below. Be sure to check it out. I cannot bear to watch the video of George Floyd's murder. It is heartbreaking. It is horrifying, and it is far from an isolated incident. What is unique is that it was captured on film, and we are forced to admit the racism, cruelty, abuse of power, and oppression that truly exists in this country and in our world.Masses of people are saying "no more!" Most are saying this peacefully. We are being threatened with a militaristic response designed to silence us. I pray that we will not be silenced. We are seeing our collective shadow in one of its ugliest permutations. How we respond will determine how much longer we will live on a planet filled with cruelty and suffering.I was recently asked in a radio interview with Monique Chapman to give a 5D perspective on this. I did not do it as well as I would have liked: I was too caught up in the pain and outrage... too caught up in 3D. How do we honor the anger and grief of a tortured and battered humanity, while simultaneously knowing that we can shift our frequency, open our hearts, and uplift ourselves to create a very different collective reality -- a reality formed from a spiritually awakened, empowered and compassionate populace who understands that we are all interconnected? When we are violent and cruel to another, we are only hurting ourselves. Hating another, no matter what the outer story, is really a projection of our self-hatred. Fearing those who appear different from us reflects fear of our own uniqueness, and illuminates our internal fragmentation.I believe that George Floyd's soul agreed to be sacrificed to serve a higher good, to help wake us up and hopefully to propel us into a higher frequency, both individually and collectively. If we are to honor this sacrifice, if we are truly to change our world, we need to not only send prayers, love and compassion to George Floyd's family, friends, community, and to all those who have been oppressed by the system, we also need to be able to send this to the oppressors and perpetrators of these horrors as well. We need to not only acknowledge the realities and cruelties with which our society has treated people of color, we need to realize that those who act out these cruelties are profoundly damaged souls, disconnected from any loving source, suffering in their own way. Then we need to go one step further: we need to find the hatred and oppression that we carry in our own psyches. We need to hold love and compassion for ourselves while we look within to identify and integrate our own shadow so that it will no longer show up in our outer world. In the early 1980's, I was at a spiritual conference where Elizabeth Kubler Ross was a keynote speaker. Kubler Ross had grown up in Switzerland during WWII,

Protests in the rural towns of Western North Carolina for racial justice are growing into a movement. Molly Haithcock, 24 and Erykah Lasha, 22, didn't know each other until a few weeks ago even though both went to Franklin High School. Haithcock, who identifies as a black woman, says she was sickened by the killing of George Floyd and wanted to do something - anything: "I was like, 'I need to bring this to my hometown.' It's unfair that people are saying that it's not here just because they aren't living it," says Haithcock, referring to racism in Macon County. Haithcock, who grew up in Franklin while Lasha - who wasn't comfortable sharing her last name - moved to town from Minneapolis, Minnesota during high school. She says that when she saw the video of Geroge Floyd's death she recognized the street behind him. "I went to that grocery store every day after school to go get snacks because it's right down the street from my school," sats Lasha. 'It's just crazy." It's because of
The homicide of George Floyd has led to widespread protests in the US. Tens of thousands of demonstrators have been hitting the streets daily, from Minneapolis to New Orleans, and from New York to Los Angeles. But the protests aren’t limited to the US. For the past few weeks, protests and demonstrations have spread across the globe. Issues of police brutality, racism and injustice have plagued nations around the world, including Greece, where people are protesting in solidarity with the death of Geroge Floyd, while also advocating for systemic change in their country. Also, in France, the killing of George Floyd has invoked the memory of Adama Traoré, a black man who died in police custody there; protests in Belgium target statues of King Leopold II, the brutal colonizer of Congo and other countries in Africa; in Kenya, the death of George Floyd strikes a chord, as Kenyans look at police violence in their country; more than 100 African authors have signed a letter condemning the killing of African Americans at the hands of US police forces - Nigerian author Lola Shoneyin is one of them; and US based Nigerian writer, Sefi Atta, shares her experience of race and racism in America. Last week, I decided to do a podcast on George Floyd from the 5th Dimensional point of view. On one of my daily walks, I connected with the Higher Selves to have them weigh in on the bigger picture of the situation and to give me the focus for a major healing for the world I wanted to do as well. It was a big topic so I wanted to get a preview of sorts for my podcast. Imagine my surprise when instead the Higher Selves said, someone here wants to speak to you. And there was George himself who came to talk to me. We had long discussion. He told me what he wanted me to say to the listeners, or more accurately, what he wanted to say to them directly. And of course, I agreed. Although at first excited, I then found myself hesitant. Even though I have connected with those on the other side for dozens of years, George's death has inspired a global movement. This is major. So questions came up for me as to how to present this. I decided I needed to do this in three parts. In this first part, today, I am going to provide information, the context for George’s words, so listeners will more fully understand the message he will give you tomorrow . Giving context first, will also prevent my having to interrupt his words to explain something. Hopefully you’ll hang in there with me for all three podcasts. They will be eye-opening and will offer healing we all need.

Today we are talking about the recent rebellions taking place across this country as reactions to the deaths of Geroge Floyd, Breona Taylor and Auhmad Arbery. Black men and women visciously murdered by the police all within the past month. Our dysfunctional crew of experts takes on the topic and how it applies to the Xicano/Latino community and what we need to be doing in our own communities to support and validate Black lives while preparing politically to end the mass incarceration of children on the border, men and women in prison, and the disregard the colonial system has for Black and Brown lives. In addition this is Almost Positive’s first in-studio session! Social Distancing be damned. At the top of the show Carlos shares his thought on the murder of Geroge Floyd at the hands of police officers Derek Chauvin, Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane. Carlos then gets moving from Milwaukee, WI to Cicero, IL, where he was one of the only black kids in a town (at the time, made up of an over 80% Hispanic population). He digs into the positive and negative experiences he had including people wanting to touch his hair, why he talks the way he’s always talked and his efforts to change people’s minds through his actions. Carlos also shares his experiences as a registered Republican, where he actually falls on the political spectrum (Left wing libertarian) and having voted for Trump in 2016. Since then peaceful protests have begun in all 50 states and many have turned into riots. Right now racial tensions are high and it is more than ever obvious we as a society must change. On this episode, I talk about #blackoutTuesday and my POV. I recommend participation in #blackoutTuesday and/or muting through June 7th in a show of solidarity, but more importantly to quiet the noise and do some listening and soul searching. I would encourage brands to consider getting involved with donating to a cause with actual dollars and putting funds in the hands of organizations that are better equipped and looking to mobilize and make productive change. I chose to donate to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund because although Geroge Floyd is the light that ignited this tinder box, this group has been fighting similar injustices for decades. It doesn't have to be a large number, but at least it shows they are willing to put their money where their mouth is. In this instance, money and action speak much louder than words. Not every brand can afford to shut things down, nor can they donate a ton. That being said, acknowledgment of the issue and even a nominal donation toward an organization that is intent on driving productive change is a smart and moral move.
The death of Geroge Floyd at the hands of Minnesota police officers has sparked nationwide protests in the largest cities in the US.

Demonstrations over the death of African American man George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer have erupted across the US and around the world. Dozens of American cities have introduced evening curfews, as violence and looting saw the deployment of the National Guard to at least 26 states and the District of Columbia. In Minneapolis, where Floyd died, protestors defied an 8pm curfew to continue protests into their sixth day. Brandt Williams, a reporter for Minnesota Public Radio in Minneapolis, speaks to Susie Ferguson.

Due to recent events, and the unfortunate murder of Geroge Floyd, Katelyn and I decided it would a great way to do our part by providing links to organizations, petitions, and bail funds for you guys to donate to or simply just post and share. Katelyn and I have both donated $50 to the Minnesota Freedom Fund if you can match that or even donate a dollar, everything counts. On this episode of Pardee With Brandon, I introduce a long time friend, Katelyn Genrich. Graduating in 2015 at Pardeeville High, we talk about bully, homophobia, and racism that we experienced at Pardeeville High School. Fall in love with Katelyn, she is fabulous. You can find Katelyn on twitter @KatelynGenrich and Instagram @Katelyn_Genrich
