Ep #299: Positivity. We all have a different relationship with this word, with this energy, with this notion that optimism and a positive attitude are the keys to experiencing a life with happiness, contentment, and gratitude. Even those three words can conjure an infinite amount of thoughts, feelings, and actions from each of us. So, this week, I am diving into why I have long believed, long felt, and long released positive energy into the world, very much feeling that through this learned behavior, my life will flow. I will teach you how to reframe yourself to experience a more positive spin on life, full of my own stories, to really allow you to sink into how I have been seeking this level of positive energy flow since I was a kid. As a bonus, I will teach you how to say Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi because no doubt this has been keeping you up at night. Just hit play, and let's dive in with open minds and hearts—you are in the right place, at the right time—right now. ******************************************** PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, FOLLOW, RATE, AND REVIEW my show on your preferred streaming app. Every little bit helps this show reach those who need it most. ******************************************** Please support the show (I'm a one-person band over here) Free ebooks and links for coaching and the like: https://stan.store/jessemogle Buy me a coffee to keep me going: http://buymeacoffee.com/jessemogle Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/jessemogle ******************************************** Website: https://www.jessemogle.com Please email me: fromsobrietytorecovery@gmail.com ******************************************** Complimentary 30-minute call with me: callcoachjesse.com Tik Tok: http://www.tiktok.com/@jessemogle Instagram: https://instagram.com/fromsobrietytorecovery LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessemogle/ From Sobriety to Recovery Podcast: https://www.jessemogle.comfromsobrietytorecovery/ College Success Habits Podcast: https://www.jessemogle.com/collegesuccesshabitspodcast/ ******************************************** Join the From Sobriety to Recovery Tribe: https://www.jessemogle.com/thehub/ ******************************************** It is time. LEADERS REALIZE FREEDOM IS NOT A NATURAL STATE OF HUMANS IT IS A LEARNED BEHAVIOR“Whether you are bound by your own bad ideas, outmoded belief systems, or simple lies and deceptions, there is a strange comfort in knowing where you stand. Leaders who acknowledge this reality are alone empowered to raise awareness in the hearts and minds of those who are not able to see where they are bound. Aristotle said, “Tyrants want their subjects to be strangers.” WHY? Because those who see the invisible walls and glass ceilings often possess the influence to bring about change. We get into people pleasing by energetic type in this one. In other words, how does our auric design play into the ways we show up and people please in our daily existence? People pleasing is a conditioned behavior that we are all so taught to believe is “good” or “right”. We're saying, enough of all that! We're going into the rest of this life experience dropping all that and reframing, bringing awareness to, and celebrating and loving ourselves by being who we are instead! Living from a place of people pleasing is not sustainable and it really brings up our not-self, so let's try a different way. We think we can all handle it, and we'll all be better for it. Yes, I said it! Hunger IS a learned behavior, and this week's episode (albeit delayed, sorry), discusses how despite cultural norms and expectations, we have LEARNED to expect that we have to eat all day, and how this doesn't easily align with our intended weight loss goals. I cover why fasting, I feel, is superior to the typical counting calories method of weight loss. >>If you need assistance or support on your fasting journey, I am here and I can help. Welcome, Friends! If you've been listening to Beauty Unlocked for some time, you've realized that I'm all about bringing to light how hating our body is a learned behavior. For this week's episode, I found two insightful articles I wanted to share. The first article was written by Jennifer Rollin, a therapist who specializes in helping adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, and depression. The Second article I came across is from Stylist.co.uk, where they asked their staff about their thoughts on weight. It struck a chord with me, as many of their experiences are similar to mine. As a child, were you called a crybaby? A child taught to grieve alone becomes an adult who also grieves alone. To break the cycle of learned behavior, we have to learn new information. If you want to learn how to support children in their grief, this episode walks you through what not to do and what to do instead. Most of us grew up without a healthy demonstration of how to grieve healthily. When we are faced with challenges as adults, we resort to what we know and what we've been taught. When someone does something hurtful to you, is your knee-jerk reaction to blame that person for "making" you angry or sad? First, that's a lot of power to give the other person. And second, this is a learned behavior that is also what keeps us in a victim mindset well into adulthood. Take twenty minutes out of your day today and learn a better way to support a grieving child you know or love. Are YOU the problem? DO YOU BELIEVE EVERY DECISION or ACTION TAKEN….FROM THE PEOPLE that WE LEAD….is a LEARNED BEHAVIOR? The way we speak, the way we act, the way we react, the way we treat others…..is absolutely a learned behavior. Our actions teach the people we lead, whether the world is a loving place or a fearful place. Our actions towards others, teaches the people we lead, whether or not to trust those people and by the way we REACT, ultimately influences the child's outlook on life.THE REACTIONS YOU ARE SEEING IN THIS WORLD TODAY ARE LEARNED BEHAVIORS….and those learned behaviors can only be changed one way…….BY YOU!The separation in our society….points back to one reason! There is a difference between LEAVING A LEGACY, versus LEAVING an INHERITENCE. What you do today has a direct effect on the LEGACY or INHERITENCE you leave behind tomorrow. One of those two things is FAR more important than the other. Listen to Episode # 5 to learn more.
