Hey Podtimists, This week David is on vacation! That's not a cute metaphor or anything, he's literally spent the week in New Orleans. Our friends from Asynchronous AJ and Kim were kind enough to come hang out and talk about video games. So that's what we did! (A lot of it is Starfield). Then AJ and Chase talked about AJ's favorite Nintendo 64 Bomberman game and it's absolute banger of a soundtrack. Drum & Bass is a good genre of music. --- Timestamps: (0:00) - Intro (1:51) - What EVERYONE has been playing (2:02) - Starfield (51:38) - Baldur's Gate 3 (58:14) - What AJ has been playing (58:30) - Everspace 2 (59:47) - Airborn Kingdom (1:05:30) - Massive Chalice (1:16:47) - Dordogne (1:23:04) - What Chase has (or has not) been playing (1:24:49) - Chase's Podtimistic thing of the week (1:26:43) - Kim's Podtimistic thing of the week (1:28:20) - AJ's Podtimistic thing of the week (1:33:30) - Good Games! Who knows this week as we're all over the place. We start with Hitman Sniper and move to Deconstructeam's Eternal Home Floristry which both Lucy and Ben have played. Ben gives his first thoughts on Mutant Year Zero and this somehow leads to discussions on Max Payne, Massive Chalice, Mario Vs Rabbids and Into the Breach. Lucy and Aadil tried to play the Ape Out playable trailer but it's just gone so Ben chats about it. We finish by discussing Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Qube and Qube 2, Portal and finally more Hitman. Lucy doesn't have a beer this week so sips tea then later some water. Ben drinks the 'Cinder Toffee Stout' from New Bristol Brewery and, from Lervig, 'Dark Orbit' Porter. Aadil starts with Padstow Brewery's 'Go Man Go' Imperial IPA and follows it with fellow Canadians Collective Arts and the 'Life in the Clouds' IPA.

Sean is away this week travelling the globe, so Paul and Jon call to Hank (@comicpanels on twitter) to fill the void in the podcast and their hearts in Sean's absence. Hank has been enjoying the new Double Fine turn-based tactic game Massive Chalice, being a cowboy out for revenge in Westerado: Double Barreled and trying to kill God in Devil Survivor: Overclocked. Jon has been in the ink playing a bunch of Splatoon between bouts of Stretchmo and streaming games such as Hotel Mario and Super Castlevania. Paul? Well, he's mainly been doing handheld games and finally started the Phoenix Wright games for the first time ever when he hasn't been addicted to The Witcher 3.In news, Ouya is selling to Razer, Hearthstone adds a cool sounding new Tavern Brawl mode while trying to steal your money for new characters, Xbox One gets a price drop, YouTube competes with Twitch and... The Last Guardian might be at E3?!

Schreibt uns direkt an podcast@pixelburg.tv!ABONNIERT DEN PODCAST BEI iTUNES! The guys expect to have a short podcast, but fuck it up and just keep talking. Paul’s computer hates Swery65 games so instead of trying D4 he’s just been playing a lot of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Hank’s not sure if he wants to play it which turns into a conversation about open world games. Also, they’re kinda over the hill with GTA V and Heroes of the Storm. Instead, Paul’s been spending some quality time with his 3DS; playing Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, SteamWorld Dig, and Demon King Box (Because boobs). He’s also the last person on the internet to play Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.. Meanwhile, Hank is still chipping away at Devil Survivor: Overclocked, and is really into Massive Chalice.

In this episode, Soren interviews Brad Muir, who is a designer/programmer at Double Fine. He was a programmer on Psychonauts, the lead designer of Brutal Legend, and the project leader on Iron Brigade. Brad is currently leading the development of Massive Chalice, a tactical strategy game now available on Steam Early Access. They discuss trying to make peace with narrative-based games, why consoles (and not tablets) are the future of MOBAs, what it's like pitching ideas to publishers, and why Brad worked at Raven for 89 days.

This week we spoke with Finishing Move Inc. who is Brian Trifon and Brian Lee White, two friends and collaborators who recently worked on some incredible video game music projects including Halo: Master Chief Collection for Microsoft, Massive Chalice for Double Fine games, Borderlands 1 and 2, and the Assassin Creed series. This week we talk about the long running Apogee/3D Realms series, Duke Nukem. In the news: E3 week! We heard all about the new XBox One and PS4, in addition to iOS 7 at Apple's WWDC. Busy week in the tech world! A few weeks ago, Tim Schafer's DoubleFine Productions has launched its second Kickstarter campaign for a tactical strategy game called Massive Chalice. A remake of Shadow Warrior appears to be in the works from 3D Realms for release this fall. In mobile news, I am totally obsessed with Ron Gilbert's Scurvy Scallywags. Check it out. Interplay repurchased the Descent Freespace IP from now defunct THQ. maybe a new Freespace? Hmmm... Then we talk Duke Nukem. I cover Duke 1, 2, 3D and a little about Duke Nukem Forever.
