En aquella época, muchos no tenían horno en casa y llevaban su comida a hornear a panaderías.El criado dejó la fuente en el horno y dijo que volvería en una hora. Si yo mismo crié a su madre pata, la vi poner el huevo, contemplé como mi patito rompía el cascarón y lo cebé hasta que estuvo lo bastante grande. ¡Yo mismo lo sacrifiqué y lo rellené y lo adorné con verduras!-Por Alá que me has convencido -dijo el dueño del horno. Sacó el pato, que ya estaba bien dorado, y se lo entregó sin dudar. ¡Qué banquete se dieron Mubárik y su amo con tan delicioso platillo!Entretanto, el hombre que había entregado la fuente no tardó en volver a buscarlo. Y cuando escuchó la historia de que el pato se había escapado volando, no le hizo ni pizca de gracia. 5 brothers are celebrating 50 years of trad music! Like many Clare musicians, the Grogans come from a musical background. Their grandfather Michael Grogan R.I.P. played the concertina, while their late grandfather Pat O' Loughlin from O' Callaghan's Mills was a traditional singer. They began their musical career under the guidance of All-Ireland traditional violinist Vincent Griffin from Feakle. Oregon archaeologists have found evidence of human occupation in the state that dates back more than 18,000 years. University of Oregon students and faculty working at the Rimrock Draw Rockshelter in Harney County found stone tools and fragments of camel and bison teeth beneath a 15,000-year-old layer of volcanic ash. Radiocarbon dating of the tooth enamel revealed that the fragments were 18,250 years old. Due to their position in the ash, the tools are thought to be even older — making them some of the oldest evidence of human civilization in North America.Joining us with more details about the discovery is Pat O’Grady, a staff archaeologist at the University of Oregon Museum of Cultural and Natural History.
