Do you feel like all of your productiveness is going nowhere and you're stuck at an income or growth plateau? Are you ready to find out how you can maximize your time to bring fulfilling progress, promising income, and great business growth? Antonio Thornton, the Profit Engineer, is a trusted advisor and coach to top entrepreneurs to double profits and double their time off. In this episode, Antonio talks about why being busy doesn't always mean productive, and why productive doesn't always mean profitable. He also shares how we can organize, monetize, and maximize our time every day to bring the best in your business and yourself! Check out these episode highlights: 01:56 - Antonio's ideal client: “My ideal client, what I like to call the "cast entrepreneurs", C-A-S-T. They're the coaches, authors, speakers, and service providers. So professional service providers, anyone who trades their time for money.” 02:16 - Problem Antonio helps solve: “Well, simply put, I like to say I take the employee' ship out of entrepreneurship. Most entrepreneurs go into business with the idea of having all this time and freedom, but they find out it's the exact opposite.” 02:48 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Antonio: “Well, typically, it's going to be pretty straightforward. You're working a lot, and you're making a little, right? So, you're putting in a lot of hours, and you're just not seeing that return on investment. Your income is either plateaued.” 03:59 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Antonio's solution: “Well, yeah, the real issue, which creates more than an issue, is that most entrepreneurs tried to be more productive. They try to get more done in less time, etc.” 05:38 - Antonio's Valuable Free Action (VFA): “I'll actually give you three actually. When we think about the process of what helps take a company and an organization from overworked, busy, frustrated to having more time freedom and making more money than they had in the past is really a three-step process.” 07:38 - Antonio's Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Check out Antonio's Website: gettimebank.com/MTI 08:14 - Q: How's life? Time for another round of thyroid questions and answers! If you have questions, leave them below! Have questions that you want answered? Please leave them in the comments below! I am going to try and answer your questions at least a couple of times per month. Questions in this video come from a post I left on youtube and I will draw from future questions here for additional videos. Questions answered in this video include: Q - Does Hypothyroidism cause swelling/edema? And how do you fix it? A - YES! Low thyroid function can absolutely lead to edema and swelling. The key to fixing this problem is to fix your thyroid. Not ALL cases of edema/swelling are caused by low thyroid, however. Q - How do I know if I am hyperthyroid and whether or not it's due to my medication or Hashimoto's? A - You have to be careful about how you define hyperthyroid. Taking thyroid medication may drop your TSH but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are hyperthyroid. Many patients can be low thyroid with a low TSH even though their lab tests look hyperthyroid. Q - How do I know if I have just Hashimoto's or an under active thyroid? How do I diagnose Hashimoto's? A - The key is that you must have BOTH low thyroid symptoms AND elevated thyroid antibodies. Some people have what's known as seronegative Hashimoto's but that is not common. When in doubt it's statistically in your favor to assume you have Hashimoto's. Q - Can you still have symptoms even if your thyroid lab tests are in the normal range? My doctor says no. A - YES! You can definitely have symptoms even with "normal" or "optimal" thyroid lab tests. Each person is different and thyroid lab tests should not be used without also evaluating your symptoms. Q - Can you comment on the connection between Hashimoto's and high testosterone? Is this normal? A - Most women with Hashimoto's tend to have low testosterone but some women with Hashimoto's do have high testosterone, it's just far less common. Sometimes treating your thyroid can completely improve your testosterone levels. Q - How do know what the right dose of Nature-throid is? It's hard to pinpoint what my dose should be. A - When trying to adjust your dose of thyroid medication you may find that compounded T4/T3 thyroid medication allows for finer tuning of your dose. Sometimes taking a small dose one day and then a larger dose another day can solve the problem as well. Subscribe for more Videos: http://www.youtube.com/c/PlantationSDAChurchTV In episode 28 of the Bible Unmasked, Pastor Gervon Marsh and Cassandra Pierre discuss Proverbs 15 to Ecclesiastes 4. Both Proverbs and Ecclesiastes are books of wisdom.   Date: July 11, 2021 Questions in this episode Q: How can we apply this verse in our daily lives? How easy is it to give a gentle answer when we are rightfully upset, have been wronged, or abused? Q: The Book of Proverbs provides many words of wisdom like the ones expressed in this verse. Judging from the way we behave, act in church, and during board meetings, it's safe to assume that many church members and leaders are unfamiliar with the Book of Proverbs. Why is it rarely preached about? Why do preachers focus more on certain Bible books but tend to neglect others? Q: Can you please explain this verse? How does it relate to “[t]he fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10 NIV.) What's the difference between wisdom and knowledge? What does it mean that “[t]he fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding”? Q: Is this always true? Does this verse apply to the 80-year old murderer who's serving a life-prison sentence? Q: What is a fool according to the Bible? Q: We often acquit the guilty through good lawyering. Should Christians become lawyers, defend “the guilty,” and fiercely advocate for them? Isn't it what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross although we were guilty and deserved death? Q: Is it wrong for a man to remain single? Do the single receive God's favor? Q: Does this verse suggest that being rich is a bad thing? Q: What does the fear of the Lord mean? Should we be afraid of God? Q: Does the Book of Proverbs promote violence? Q: What about babies? What standards are they judged by? Is there an age when we start to sin? Will all babies go to heaven? Q: Why? Please explain this verse. Q: Can you summarize the 30 sayings of the wise man (Proverbs 22- 24)? Q: Who was Agur (Proverbs 31)? Q: Women are often demeaned in the Bible. How significant it is that the Book of Proverbs ends with the description of the “Wife of a Noble Character”(Proverbs 31)? Q: The Book of Psalms is a compilation of songs. The Book of Proverbs is a book of wisdom. What do we know about the Book of Ecclesiastes? What's the best way to describe it? Q: How can the dead be happier than the living? It is time to move from H R I T H I K, an acronym used for HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, ITC, Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Ltd, Infosys Technologies and Kotak Mahindra Bank to A K S H A Y stocks to tap into emerging market opportunities, says Kshitiz Mahajan, Co-Founder at Complete Circle Consultants Pvt Ltd in a D-Street Talk podcast with Moneycontrol. The acronym A K S H A Y stands for A. - Asian Paints (sector – Paints) K - Kajaria Tiles (sector – Tiles) S – Shree Cement (Sector – Cement) H - HDFC Limited (Sector - Housing Finance) A - Astral Poly (Sector – PVC Pipes) Y – PolYcab (Sector - wires and cables) Here are edited excerpts of the interview: Q) On the global front it is FAANG while in India HRITHIK was quite popular – you have coined your own acronyms which taps into emerging opportunities in the forthcoming years – tell us more about it? A) Time is for AKSHAY – a superstar who will gain from Real estate and infra turn around. Covid and post covid, one thing is for sure that work from home will be a new normal (it will be a mix of office and home). Work from home increases productivity, saves travel time, reduces office expense, enriches work-life balance and is more nature friendly. In the near future, people will look at buying bigger/better houses, because as a percentage of time spent at home will increase. It will benefit close to 50 sectors. Asian Paints The trend suggests that decorative paints volumes are growing at about 1.5x GDP growth rate, and Asian Paints is expected to benefit from this category growth being the market leader with a dominant market share. Branded players are growing faster on account of up-trading from the non-branded segment. With the increasing affordability of households due to rising incomes, the middle class has jumped from 15 percent to 35 percent changing the trend from joint families to nuclear families. Through the organic and inorganic routes, the company has made a foray into adhesives, bath fittings, and kitchen improvement. Kajaria Ceramics Kajaria Ceramics' performance was strong across the topline & bottom line. Tiles sales volumes were up 39.2% YoY at 25.4 MSM, driven by a stellar rebound in demand and benign base (Q4FY20 had 19% volume decline). The average capacity utilisation during Q4FY21 was at ~98%. Shree Cement It no longer a cement company only. There are various products which the company is making such as - OPC Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) PPC Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) PSC Portland Slag Cement (PSC) AAC BLOCKS. Shree Cement is a market leader in the North. It has a strong pedigree. India is the second-largest cement producer after China. HDFC limited Robust pick up in individual disbursement at 60%, margin expansion of ~10 bps and collection efficiency at 98% reflect healthy revival in individual business which comprises ~74% of gross loan book. Valuing core business at 2.5x FY23E ABV and subsidiaries at 15% holding company discount. It is a stock worth looking at. If we take out group companies, the entire business of HDFC Limited is available for 1.1 lac cr. This company will have a long runway. Astral Poly: Astral is one of the major players in the plastic pipe and fittings market which is estimated to be ~ Rs 280 billion in size. CPVC pipe and fittings market is expected to grow at a rapid rate due to it replacing the GI/copper pipes market. CPVC resin from SEKISUI will be sourced from its Japan or Thailand plant and compounding will be done in-house. Making own compounds will help improve margins due to better sourcing. The adhesives business is a big opportunity for the Company POL.Y CAB: Polycab is a leader in the domestic Cables & Wires category and is increasing its product portfolio in the fast-moving electrical goods space. It is a leader in Cables & Wires (C&W). The company has in-house manufacturing and backward integration that help in cost and quality control. It has a strong network, and a healthy return profile. Q) I see a mix of good old quality companies such as Asian Paints, Shree cement, HDFC Ltd, along with new players. What is the kind of time frame investors should keep in mind in case they plan to invest in A K S H A Y and why? A) In terms of equity investment, more than price, time spent in the market is more important.  You can enjoy the power of compounding if you focus on T (time period) more rather than R – Return on stocks. Investors who join D-Street for wealth creation should have a minimum time frame of 5 years. The formula for compound interest is FV ==P (1 + r/n)^(nt), where P is the initial principal balance, r is the interest rate, n is the number of times interest is compounded per time period and t is the number of time periods. Q) What makes you so positive on the real estate/infra space?  A) There is a strong demand for IT/ITES sector in the southern region like Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. An infrastructure investment plan for 1.5 trillion is expected for the next 5 years. The rural demand is also rising amid expectations of a good monsoon for the last 3 years. Better agriculture income and govt support will support rural housing. Lower interest rates along with govt participation for underprivileged support our argument. Rapid urbanization - 33% in 2011 to 40% in 2030 will only fuel demand. Capital expenditure budget likely to see a robust 26.2% growth. Govt CAPEX on key infra is up 15.6% on a Yoy basis. Q) How should investors pick stocks especially at a time when markets are trading at record highs and most stock prices look stretched?  A) For picking stocks, investors should stick to stock SIP which is the best way from picking a stock. Stock investing is like drinking tea. Rather than drinking in one go, you will enjoy it more if you take sip-by-sip before it cools down. Stagger your investment. If you have 100 today – start with 25-30 across stocks/Mutual funds – not more then 12-15. Slowly built your portfolio and enjoy the benefit of compounding (the rule of 72) Q) I am sure you get this question quite often. But, let me repeat it as well for the benefit of our listeners. In terms of portfolio allocation especially for salaried investors say above 30 years and can contribute 30,000-40,000 per month towards equity. What would you advise – invest in stocks or MF or both. If both, what should be the ideal allocation for long-term wealth creation? A)Mutual funds and stocks both should co-exist in your portfolio. The percentage may vary depending on risk appetite, time horizon, knowledge, and interest in stocks. Someone who doesn't have time to track his/her portfolio – should do only Mutual Funds. But, someone who tracks it but doesn't understand or know how to read financials of a company should do 80% MF, and only largecap stocks. Someone who has time to track his/her portfolio and read/understands financials of a company should do 50:50. By investing into MFs/Index funds/ETFs you diversify your risk. How can we know this?A: See Colossians 1:16 - For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.John 1:3 - All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.REVELATION / ESCHATOLOGY / END-TIMES[10:13] - Q: Do you personally see and feel the rise of the spirit of the antichrist throughout the world? So, personally how close are you feeling that the removal of His bride church is now?[17:16] - Q: It seems like Christ's return is imminent, I believe that he's coming back soon. I can't wait to be taken up to heaven. I just don't know how to live day to day with that type of mindset, knowing that I'm going to be taken away. How do I live "normally" worrying about work/job, finances, buying cars/stuff, upkeep for my house, etc. In first 1 Thes Paul tells the believers there that they haven't missed it and they need to keep on working. So I know I need to continue on, I'm just challenged by how to do that. Christ's love is in me and yes I can share that with others and try to get as many to heaven as possible, but really preacher, I'm exhausted from what God has given me. I'm ready to go. Can you give a few pieces of advice for how to persevere? How should I be praying? Resources by J.P. MorelandFinding Quiet: My Story of Overcoming Anxiety and the Practices that Brought PeaceJ.P. Moreland's WebsiteQ: I'm really interested to know how a philosophy professor ends up writing a book on anxiety and depression.I approach philosophy as an attempt to learn how to live a wise and flourishing life that honors Christ. I was born with a problem with anxiety that led me to wanting to continue to develop my emotional health and spiritual health. I was born with a genetic disposition towards anxiety from my mom's side, and as a little boy I also observed her worry and be anxious a lot. So by the time I got out of high school, and was well-taught and predisposed to being an anxious person. In 2003 I had an unbelievably stressful year at university. I had panic attacks and had what I could call a nervous breakdown that lasted 7 months. I got on medications, got into good Christian therapy, and began to practice some things that I've learned from Dallas Willard. After 7 months I got better. But then it happened again for 5 months. So I devoted myself to learning about anxiety and coming up with a list of practices that would help me.Q: The other thing you do that I found really helpful is that you help address a lot of concerns that Christians might have about mental health or medication or self-compassion. Have you found that to be well-received or have you gotten pushback from that?I did get some pushback. I was actually preaching at a church and I talked about the importance of medication for those who need it, and I was not allowed to speak at the second service and was never invited back. They were pretty upset with me. The Bible itself emphasizes the importance of non-biblical knowledge. If something in psychology contradicts the Bible, then I don't accept it. But if the Bible doesn't speak about it, then I'm free to follow the evidence wherever it goes. Psychology and psychiatry have a tremendous amount to offer us in our tool bag.Q: One of the pieces that I found really helpful in the book is you continue to go back to all these practices and very practical things that have worked for you, yet leaving it open for not being totally prescriptive for people. I'm curious to hear a little about your journey with contemplative prayer and how that has helped you with anxiety. It's been life changing. I needed to learn how to attach to God. This form of prayer has opened me up to attaching and connecting and experiencing the presence of God with more intensity than I had before. It has drawn me closer to the Lord. Contemplative prayer has a lot of different ways of doing it. The bottom line for me was finding a way to sit in the same place every morning and be quiet and to learn how to focus my attention by the use of some repetitive phrase. I want to get in a position of receptivity where I'm open to being guided or connected.Q: could you say a little about the four-step solution process? It is one way of dealing with the kinds of negative self-talk that we are habituated to that tears us down and makes us afraid and depressed. It was generated by Jeffrey Schwarz. It's a way of re-training your self-talk. The first step is that you invite the Spirit to search you and help you notice when you're doing this. Step 2 is to label it (there are 10 typical thought disorders), to name it, which takes the power out of it. Step 3 is refocusing, where you turn your mind away from it, and go to something that gets you into what's called flow. Step 4 is evaluate how you did in handling it. After 2-3 months of doing this daily, those grooves that automatically trigger anxiety are replaced with triggers that automatically cause feelings of joy and peace.Q: How did your friendship with Dallas inform your writing. He was my main professor and my dissertation supervisor. Part of his influence was realizing that it is actually possible to make tremendous progress in this journey. He really lived this, and that attractiveness of his heart and life drew me in, motivated me to dive in a learn a new era of the Christian life that I had not been taught before.Q: It reads like formation work applied to mental health challenges. What was it like to crash for all those months? It was terrorizing. What I learned quickly was that my typical approach to the Christian life was not adequate to deal with it. I felt like I was letting people down.Q: Are you healed?I haven't come close to having mild anxiety in 5 or 6 years, and it's been 8 years since the breakdown. In 2015 and for the next 2 ½ years I had 8 surgeries – one was life threatening for sure. I had chemo and 2 rounds of radiation, and I went through that whole time filled with joy and peace. And that's because I was reaping what I had sown for years in these practices. They worked; they actually re-formed my character to where the natural thing for me to do was respond in a trusting manner. Cast your anxiety on the Lord and he'll care for you, and the peace of Christ which surpasses understanding will guard your hearts and minds – those are not so much promises as ideals that you strive to achieve through practices and through praying through things. After a while, those texts become effective because you have developed the habituation that makes them a part of what you've now become.Q: How important were Biblical passages for you?The first appendix in Finding Quiet is a list of verses that are solid gold. Dallas told me that as, or more important, than getting in the Word and reading it, is to commit a handful of verses to memory that are there and you love them, they just do something for you, and make those the rails on which you run your life. As I began contemplative prayer, I would begin to quietly pray through a few of those and orient myself to contemplative prayer sessions with these verses. Pick a list of 4 or 5. I would try to express them emotionally to God, rather than cognitively reciting them.Q: What would you say to someone listening who is really struggling with anxiety and maybe has some self-condemnation or shame?Remember that Peter says that there are brothers and sisters all over the world who are going through the same things and that you're not alone. This is an epidemic, so you're not unusual. If this is a hard thing to handle, why not go to a Christian therapist and get some Christian counselling; go to a psychiatrist (rather than a GP) and consider getting a little help with meds until you get over the hump. And begin sharing what you're experiencing with trusted people so that you have a place to share it to get it off your chest. And then begin some of these simple practices. Guilt and shame is not needed. I don't think Christians should ever feel guilt or shame because of Romans 8:1 that says there is no condemnation and Colossians says that what we've done, our certificate of debt, was nailed to the cross. We should feel something else, and that is godly sorrow. The difference is that shame and guilt and self-oriented and self-condemnatory and puts me down. Godly sorrow is a form of sadness that draws me toward the Lord where I can acknowledge things and agree with God. It moves me toward the Lord and creates a hunger to conform to the way he is and continue on the journey rather than beating myself up.Q: For folks who have friends and family, spouses, that are struggling with anxiety, is there a word you might have for the best way they can love each other through this? The first thing is to be present to your loved one and give them opportunities to share and talk. And without you initially trying to fix it. Just be a presence and listen, even if you've heard it every day for 20 days now. That's going to give a feeling of support. Be careful to preserve your own boundaries. You're going to need time away and you just have to communicate that with them. You have to keep yourself from going down or you're not going to be any good to anybody.Q: How was your wife? She was worried. She was just there for me and listened to me and supported me. I didn't feel any condemnation on her part.

Questions from this session include: For someone wanting to read a biography of Charles Spurgeon, what would you recommend? Can you recommend your three best books on Spurgeon? So many prominent Christian leaders end their lives surrounded by scandal. Either sexual compromise or doctrinal compromise. Many have fallen even within our own lifetime. You work with a man who has been faithful and uncompromising through more than 50 years of pastoral ministry. Q: Was Spurgeon or his ministry ever accused of sexual or financial impropriety? What kinds of accusations, if any, were raised against Spurgeon? Q: How has John MacArthur protected himself against similar temptations and or failure? Spurgeon's productivity is legendary. Describe a typical week for Charles Spurgeon. What motivates a person to that kind of service? The ministry of Grace to You has been similarly productive. It could be argued that there hasn't been a greater force for the propagation of Biblical teaching in the history of the church. What motivates you and John MacArthur and your colleagues to this level of productivity for the kingdom? Obviously, Phil Johnson and Charles Spurgeon would not agree on every point and nuance of theology. If Spurgeon were alive today and you could sit down to persuade him to change his mind on the biggest issue where you would disagree, what would that issue be? How would you present your argument? If you could live in the 1800s and serve alongside Spurgeon as you have for John MacArthur, what counsel would you give him that would: - improve his preaching? - improve his effectiveness? - prolong his life? - protect him? From the Audience: Bonus Questions: What are the historical roots of egalitarianism in the church? Does this connect back to a particular ancient heresy or heretical group, or is it a modern invention? What is the woke movement in evangelicalism, and what does it have to do with the gospel? Recently GCC has been in the headlines because you are gathering to worship in defiance of state restrictions. This seems to have brought about a bit of nuance in GCC stance on civil disobedience. I heard Mike Riccardi reference some of the teachings of the reformers on the doctrine of the lesser magistrate and defying tyrants. Did the view among some of the elders change over this issue? Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk: true-life, practical, funny, heart-breaking, insightful human experience stories from women who are walking their lives while their lives walk them and the lasting difference these journeys have made. You’ll recognize yourself in stories of adversity, challenge, fear, discovery, adventure, expression, and more. Why? Because, the sorcery of stories is this: they help each of us to be seen and heard, to understand and be understood. I’m your host, Diane Wyzga.Today my guest is Heidi Frei who’s joining us from Phoenix, Arizona. Ours seems to be a world made of couples. And yet, some of us - including your host - are quite single. While some women might look at their single state with disappointment, Heidi has created a life work out of being single. She calls herself “The voice for the joys and challenges of the single life.” Heidi created the Single Soul Circle to empower single women to live their lives without fear. Along the way she became a blogger, podcaster, committed planker, and more! Let’s hear how Heidi figured out the way to spin the so-called straw of being single into gold. Welcome to the podcast, Heidi!Minute 30:3600 to 2:00     Intro2:00 to 4:25     Start From Where You AreQ: If I met up with you on a hiking trail in Arizona what’s the first thing I’d notice?Heidi’s confidenceHeidi would approach me; would be interested in meeting someone new and hearing their story. That’s a big part of her life.Q: And if we had some time to walk along together what else might I get to know about you?Heidi’s has a passion for single peopleTravelBeing an aunt (!)WritingPodcastingQ: And when we parted ways what would I remember about you as I walked on alone?Heidi’s stories learned while wandering through lifeThis is not the life she envisioned for herself, but has taken in and taken advantage of the experiences and opportunitiesFinding the joy around the cornerThe host would leave feeling encouraged with all the opportunities life has for us4:25 to 8:45     The Back Story. We All Have One. What's Yours?Women typically have a back story that’s brought us to the present story. Wandering and walking led to the start of Heidi’s blog, appreciation for walking, wandering and the sabbatical.  So that we have some context for the life story you’ve been walking, share with us the role wandering has played in your life and this sabbaticalHeidi was a baby who ran before she walked and running was her thingHeidi discovered walking when she took month-long sabbatical to figure out what next to find purpose, joyVisited California, New York and began walking and found thingsLabyrinth in Santa Barbara brought clarityLost creativity along way and found it on this sabbaticalEnjoyed writing as a kid and lost that tooDiscovered she was called to write a blogA shift for Heidi was letting go of control, the itinerarySomething was saying Go With the FlowFound parks and street art which led to relaxationHeidi related this to Life: you don’t need to plan everything out. Was not a coffee drinker - not at all - but discovered it in Scandinavia and developed a habit - a break in the day - something to look forward to every morningHeidi’s coffee ritual includes special mugs from her nieceA shout-out to Green Tree Coffee in Lincolnville, Maine11:20 to 15:00     Tips for WanderingQ: Heidi has tips for wandering in everyday life posted on her website. What was the purpose? How did it come to be to suggest tips for wandering in one’s everyday life to build up the courage to let go more often?Heidi began by choosing to face a fear and get out of her comfort zone to try something newStarted podcasting to get out from behind being a solitary writer; there was so much to learn and put out in the worldHeidi’s own 60 second recordings were a way to hear her own voice and hear the energy she has around certain topics to guide herMany lessons learned with the podcasting risk, have her voice out thereWandering is also facing a fear and trying something newHeidi also suggests try on different clothes, give a friend a call, little work-a-day things to embrace what might feels scary only because they’re unfamiliarEspecially in COVID is a good idea to reach out to those on the sidelines of your lifeYou end up feeling good about the re-connectHere are some others you’ll find on Heidi’s website:Pick a random book and read itTry a new recipeTalk to someone you don’t know at a networking event or attend a meet-upDrive a different way to work and take notice of the new surroundings (safely, of course)Pick a weekend day, don’t plan anything and just do whatever feels good from moment to moment with no expectations for yourselfListen to a podcast that has nothing to do with your interests or professionWalk around a parkTry on clothes that are not your typical styleGo to the grocery store or florist and stop and smell the flowers14:45 to 21:15      Single Soul CircleHeidi wants to make sure to share how society seems to show pity toward single women and focus on their marital status, rather than all the wonderful things they are enjoying in their lives. Q: Which came first? Single Soul Circle or your feelings that society isn’t kind toward single women, we should all be in couplesHeidi always felt stigma around being single.Focus is in getting hitched up; what’s wrong with you not fitting in to society of couples? With COVID and sheltering in and being locked down; but we are not all at home with a family and enjoying some new bonding experiences; some of us are aloneThe single segment is ignoredCOVID required everyone to give up something; and single people lost out, tooBeing locked down is a big loss to singles who can’t be out to meet others, water cooler chit chat at the office, connect, socialize, more often required to create a scheduled timeMet so many single people who are doing amazing career things; why should the focus be on the marital status when there are so many talented, gifted, creative singles out there?Q: How is it that women are single by choice, by design;  and how come there is the focus or emphasis on being partnered?Heidi aims to keep getting out in the world what singles are doing apart from the dating sceneHeidi would like a relationship at some point; meanwhile, is doing so much with her lifeIf any of these stories help people to live your life as a single person then that’s a very good use of timeRecounts an acquaintance who came off rough divorce, being able to find herself as a single woman and eventually embrace a better relationshipDating is an important element for singles but it is not the whole gameHeidi hopes the stories encourage other womenIt is brave to end a relationship that isn’t healthy or good for themLet’s celebrate all the amazing things single people can do; an opportunity to look inside themselves, do some healingHost: there’s a balance whether by choice, design or default a woman who is single may want relationship or not but at the end of the day it’s all possible: have a companion and so on. Just because one doesn’t have a significant other doesn’t mean you won’t travel, enjoy events, cook a good meal. It’s a duality that Heidi is encouraging with Single Soul Circle. Maybe it’s The Chapter of Singlehood21:15 to 27:37     COVID and post-COVID      [NOTE: this episode is being aired 5 months after it was taped so Heidi's feelings like so many of us pre-vaccine may still be there or may have shifted just slightly because we’re not out of the woods] Q: Given the COVID situation what are some of the issues, concerns, and challenges for single women overall?IsolationHeidi feels the seriousness of the lock down; “bubbles” are difficult for friendships because it feels clique-yHeidi has friends from so many groups who also have own bubble which complicates the safeyHeidi’s worry: worry: am I being judged? Am I being clear with my friends? Do they understand that I love them, would like to see them  and yet COVID is a different situationCan make it til the vaccine arrivesThere are days of loneliness and days of resilience, days when her strength fails missing hugging, having a meal with someone23:50 to 27:25     Single Women & HolidaysQ: We're coming into the holidays 2020, what that means and how it may still apply even with vaccines. What might you share about single women and holidays generallyConnecting is key!Heidi set up a Facebook group to connectFriday night virtual happy hour: working well sharing books, shows to binge, navigating the new waters, sharing, coming together, meeting new people, getting to know their storiesWomen come and sit in and share silly things, serious thingsCan show off new lipstick on Zoom callsConversations about parents and how to help themSomething to look forward to at week’s endYou end up feeling loved going into the weekendEven when COVID wanes your friends will get you throughImportant to build networksFriends can be more fun than a boyfriend; let’s be clear!27:25 to 33:45      Single Soul Circle Coming Into It's OwnIt sounds like the Single Soul Circle has come into its own. The idea of a circle is inclusive, a safe place, a space where you can sit inside. We do so many things in circles: dance, tell stories, sit around a campfire, quilt or knit. Single Soul Circle has come into its own by inviting single women into a space to breathe, thrive, commune, grieve  and celebrate. Q: Did you ever expect this?  Here we are, at the end of the road but not the journey. Discover the importance of learning and using CRM as a team and as a business Find out why discussing as a team and collaborating is crucial in handling CRM Learn more on why guideline and training are important for team collaboration and development Resources/Links: Check out Jeroen’s Website: www.salesflare.com Summary Is your team struggling with CRM? Are you struggling to achieve the level of collaboration needed when handling CRM? Do you want to know the steps on how to maximize the use of your CRM? Do you want to know the secrets that can guarantee you better team cooperation in sales? Jeroen Courthout is the Co-Founder and CEO of Salesflare, an intelligent CRM built for small and medium businesses (SMBs) selling B2Bs, mostly popular with agencies and SaaS companies. In this episode, Jeroen shares his ideas on how to simplify and make CRM easier for you and your team to handle. He also talks about how you can get your sales team to work and cooperate for better collaboration and maximize the use of CRM. Check out these episode highlights: 01:19 - Jeroen’s ideal client: “It's small and medium-sized businesses selling B2B, mainly agencies and tech companies. It's a bit broader than SAS companies only, but it's a lot of agencies and quite some tech start-ups and tech companies.” 01:36 - Problem Jeroen helps solve: “Most of these companies have a CRM or they have a spreadsheet or they have something but they don't really use it, and that's because the software usually comes with outsized expectations of how they're going to fill out the software to make it work.” 02:23 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Jeroen: “The symptoms are mostly symptoms of them not using the CRM. Its leads slipping through the cracks. It's, for me, number one, that's why most people start using a CRM.” 03:34 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Jeroen’s solution: “The main mistake is probably they look for a solution, which is good, but they don't look for a solution that will solve their problem. They just figured they need a system.” 05:04 - Jeroen’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “find something they want to use. Secondly, make sure they understand what it does that's obvious. So training is usually aimed at making sure that the team knows how to use the system, like what functionality is there.” 06:06 - Jeroen’s Valuable Free Resource (VRF): Check out Jeroen’s Website: www.salesflare.com 07:21 - Q: How does our software solve the problem of people not using CRM? A: We made it very easy to use, which is obvious. Then the second thing is we automate most of the data input that you normally have to do in a CRM by pulling the data from all the places where it already is. Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode: “It's really important to find something that your salespeople want to use, so go with them on the lookout. Don't do it alone. Don't find something and then enforce it on them.” -Jeroen CourthoutClick To Tweet Transcript (Note, this was transcribed using a transcription software and may not reflect the exact words used in the podcast) Tom Poland 00:09 Greetings everyone and a very warm welcome to another edition of Marketing the Invisible. Teaching NotesI love how this reading ends like a cliffhanger, adrenaline surging but with jolted finish. There’s a revelation –Jesus is alive! And yet, so many questions remain, dots still left to connect. Gasping for air, lost for words, the three women fled because they were “Trembling, bewildered, and afraid.” Q: Could you imagine? Q: What are you most afraid of right now? Q: How do we cope with these fears? Dave Barry the old humorist once said, “All of us are born with a set of instinctive fears – of falling, of the dark, of lobsters, of falling on lobsters in the dark, of speaking before a Rotary Club, and of the words ‘Some Assembly Required.’” And of course, there are “clinical” ways to face our fears and I can personally tell you that Christ-centered therapy has been a game changer. But as a pastor I want to approach this question theologically and say… “How do we not allow our fears to rule our lives? How can we have peace in our lives?” Well, here’s the answer: Choose a better fear. Tremble at something bigger. “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you fear him.” Luke 12:4-5 What Jesus is getting at is this: Your God is too small. Your fear is too small. When we lose our fear in God, we will fear everything else, and that will take us down a vicious and repeatable cycle. Q: Can you see that progression in you? “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7 That’s why the empty grave is so important. The empty grave confirms that, with God, there is no rival or equal. He is the most powerful. He conquers death (note: see 1 Corinthians 15:12-28). The empty grave reminds us that we stand before the Living God, awesome in power and mighty in strength. He has overcome death itself. Not only is his power confirmed, so too is his love. And because of an empty grave, we join Paul in saying: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 William D. Eisenhower explains the relationship with rightly fearing God this way: “Unfortunately, many of us presume that the world is the ultimate threat and that God's function is to offset it. How different this is from the biblical position that God is far scarier than the world…When we assume that the world is the ultimate threat, we give it unwarranted power, for in truth, the world's threats are temporary. When we expect God to balance the stress of the world, we reduce him to the world's equal…As I walk with the Lord, I discover that God poses an ominous threat to my ego, but not to me. He rescues me from my delusions, so he may reveal the truth that sets me free. He casts me down, only to lift me up again. He sits in judgment of my sin, but forgives me nevertheless. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom but love from the Lord is its completion.” So, in the midst of our ailment, suffering or pain…In the midst of our anxiety or fears, in the midst of our very real-world anguish and pain, we can say: Cheer Up! On Your Feet. The Risen One is calling you. And He is…All Powerful. All Good. Complete Love. And that’s the difference. The women at the empty grave chose a better fear! The one who is “far scarier.” They were trembling, bewildered and afraid before an empty grave, not an empty life. The grave was empty, but their hearts were full. THEY TREMBLED AT AN EMPTY GRAVE. At nothing else and no one else. Q: Do you long to tremble like that? WE TREMBLE AT AN EMPTY GRAVE. At nothing else and no one else.So I call you to courage: We don’t tremble over national elections. We tremble at the one who has the power of heaven. We don’t tremble over outbreaks and pull backs. We tremble at the one who pulled back the veil of heaven. We don’t tremble or wait for the next shoe to drop, because we tremble at the one who’s sandal we cannot untie. We don’t tremble at newsfeeds or breaking news, we tremble at the one who was broken for our sins; who was crucified, rose, ascended, and today sits on the throne as Lord over all creation. We don’t tremble at doomsayer’s predictions; we tremble at the one who promises to return and make all things new. WE TREMBLE AT AN EMPTY GRAVE. At nothing else and no one else. Because Jesus says: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33He is Risen!
