On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, of course, Israel does not control President Trump, nor has it controlled any past president. Israel is not "ethnic" cleansing, that would be the motivations and intentions of the Islamist terrorists -- throughout the Middle East and Africa. The multiple and unprecedented steps it has taken to try to limit casualties, at the cost of IDF soldiers' lives and increasing the longevity of the war in Gaza, is no secret, and we were not ethnic cleansing when we destroyed multiple population centers in Europe and Japan during World War II. Israel is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious society and a democracy. The only one in the Middle East. How many Christians and Jews remain in Arab and Muslim countries in the Middle East, and for those few who are left, are they treated equally? These are basic facts. Later, we're at a time where constitutional conservatives and their institutions are being tested. It's simple for people of real faith to reject evil and stand firm in the battle of ideas, rather than equivocate due to conflicts. America faces a turning point; platforms, think tanks, politicians must choose and reveal if they're pretenders or defenders of liberty, as Reagan warned freedom is one generation from extinction. Also, capitalism is the only humane economic system. Economic socialism is an inhumane economic system. Socialism promotes the welfare state. Capitalism promotes the individual. Zohran Mamdani has no idea how to do anything except use the iron fist of government to impose his ideology. He is calling for a massive welfare state. Afterward, America First prioritizes the exceptional nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles and Enlightenment ideals—the Declaration of Independence and unparalleled Constitution—with limited representative government, federalism, God-given unalienable rights, and strong federal roles in national security, borders, and sound money. It rejects suicidal isolationism. Finally, Rep Byron Donalds calls in to discuss the government shutdown. He exposes the Democrats hypocrisy, pointing out Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats voted for the identical measure in March. Donalds argues they're posturing as tough guys to appease the crazy radical left and thwart Trump and MAGA, but lack real policies or ideas to help Americans, instead leading the country down the wrong road. Reformation Day, celebrated on October 31st, marks one of the most transformative moments in church history — the day Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, in 1517. In today's prayer and devotional, we reflect on the fact that though Luther never sought to divide the Church, his bold stand for truth and his devotion to Scripture became a catalyst for reformation and renewal across the Christian world. As Lynette Kittle reflects, Luther wasn’t a rebel or revolutionary — he was a truth seeker who rediscovered the heart of the Gospel: we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8). His translation of the Bible into German opened the Word of God to everyday people, making Scripture accessible to all who longed to know God personally. Today, we commemorate Reformation Day not only as a historic event but as a call to continue valuing God’s Word above all else. Scripture is living and active — teaching, correcting, and equipping us for righteousness. Let us be inspired by Luther’s example to study God’s Word deeply and boldly share the Good News of salvation by grace alone. Today's Bible Reading:“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16
Fr. Mike offers a recap of Eleazar's martyrdom and marvels at Eleazar's courage to avoid both sin, and the temptation to lead others into sin. As we begin reading the book of Wisdom today, we also learn three valuable lessons; God did not create death, death entered the world through sin, and we are wise when we walk in the truth but foolish when we walk in evil. Today's readings are 2 Maccabees 6, Wisdom 1-2, and Proverbs 24:21-26. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/bibleinayear. What if you "hear" something that you've never heard before, but it's been in the Bible all along? It means we need to read our Bible more and more carefully and more thoroughly. Pastor Jack explores some very interesting scriptures about the millennium, a future event mentioned in the Word, as well as how essential it is to judge everything we hear against the Bible itself. The Church offers us a consistent ethic of life from the moment of conception until death. In today's “Nugget Day,” we review the main takeaways from our readings about the fifth commandment. Fr. Mike reiterates that the Church's teachings on the value of human life stem from the truth that every human life is sacred; God wills each person for his own sake. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 2318-2330. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. Bishop Robert Barron’s Sermons - Catholic Preaching and Homilies
Friends, All Souls Day, November 2, falls on a Sunday this year, so we can really spend some time reflecting on this wonderful feast, which means so much to Catholic people. Why do we pray for the souls in purgatory? I wonder if I could begin by reflecting on why we speak of the “soul”—this higher principle breathed into us by God that survives the death of the body.

Stop letting your flesh lead you into dangerous waters. This dynamic panel discussion with Dr. Valerie Crumpton, Pastor Venshard Dobbins, Pastor Cora Jakes, and Pastor Don Johnson follows up on Sunday's message, “Get Out of Your Way.” Their conversation highlights how we have the tendency to sabotage our own spiritual growth. Pastor Johnson shares how Jesus in Gethsemane reveals that most of us have a hearing problem, not an obedience problem; while Dr. Crumpton examines how the garden represents God's classroom where the process of life and death cultivates us. This Walk It Out Wednesday encourages us to refrain from coveting someone else's promise, but instead understand that the process is for you to become more like the One who ordains it. Questions Answered from The House: How do I know what God has promised me and fully serve Him? How do I remain in the process without getting distracted or discouraged? Do you discover your identity in the process or promise? Join this conversation and make sure to bring your questions every Wednesday! Message: “Walk It Out Wednesday: Get Out of Your Way” Speakers: Dr. Valerie Crumpton, Pastor Venshard Dobbins, Pastor Cora, and Pastor Don Johnson Date: Oct. 29, 2025 ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don't have to walk this journey alone. Astrophysicist Dr. Jason Lisle joins to unpack today's biggest scientific obsessions—from UFOs and aliens to climate change and human “upgrades.” He explains why these pursuits reveal less about discovery and progress—and far more about our refusal to trust the Creator who already rules it all. Segment 1: The Truth Behind UFOs • What NASA and the military call “unidentified” is usually just misidentified. • The shocking connection between cruise ships, party balloons, and UFO sightings. • Why we love the idea of aliens—and what that craving reveals about our hearts. Segment 2: Why the World Wants Aliens • Secular culture's obsession with ETs is really a longing to replace the Creator. • How evolution drives the search for life in space—and fuels disbelief in Genesis. • The deeper question: are we looking for life out there because we've rejected the Life-Giver here? Segment 3: The Climate Panic vs. God's Providence • Global warming” became “climate change” when the data stopped cooperating. • Scripture and science both show the Earth's climate has always fluctuated. • God promised the seasons will endure—so why the panic? Segment 4: When Science Tries to Replace God • The danger of trying to “improve” humanity instead of restore what sin broke. • Why curing disease honors the Creator—but trying to become Him doesn't. • From Babel to biotech, every age repeats the same lie: “You can be like God.” ___ Thanks for listening! Generosity encompasses time, energy, resources, and prayers, shaping how we live, serve, and influence the world around us. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar remind believers that God is the ultimate standard of generosity and that everything we have comes from Him, from spiritual blessings to everyday provisions. The guys emphasize that giving is rooted in being fully satisfied in the Lord, recognizing that our most profound joy and fulfillment flow from His hand. When we hunger for Him, our time, talents, and treasures naturally become instruments to bless others, build community, and point people toward God's goodness. The guys explore generosity in daily life, encouraging believers to offer their skills, invest time in relationships, and give with grace and thoughtfulness. Giving is not limited to finances; it can mean lending possessions, offering gifts of service, mentoring the next generation, or using influence for the good of others. True generosity is sacrificial, not just a matter of convenience or abundance. It extends to sharing the gospel even in the face of rejection or persecution. The generous soul is made rich as it reflects God's heart, mirrors the ultimate gift of Christ giving His life for humanity, and points others to the joy of living under His provision.Generosity also shapes our finances, relationships, and daily choices. Money and resources amplify what is already in the heart, revealing whether we trust God or cling to security in material things. The guys explain that cheerful, sacrificial giving requires faith, humility, and awareness of the heart, going beyond money to include time, attention, and intentional priorities. Forgiveness is a vital expression of generosity, reflecting the gospel by offering mercy even without reconciliation or recognition. By esteeming others, freely giving of ourselves, and modeling grace, believers demonstrate the transforming power of Christ in both ordinary moments and extraordinary acts. The guys remind believers that generosity is central to the gospel and has historically distinguished Christians in the world. Early believers revolutionized society through radical giving, serving those who hated them, and standing apart through sacrificial love. Generosity continues to witness to both Christians and the unsaved, speaking volumes where words alone cannot reach. It is a freeing practice grounded in trust in the living God. True generosity flows from hearts devoted to Him, willing to give freely and abundantly because His love compels us to reflect His character in every aspect of life.Send us a textThanks for listening! Romans 12:3–8 What are the signs of a renewed mind? Pastor Chuck Swindoll teaches Christians how to think correctly about themselves, other believers, and spiritual gifts (Romans 12:3–8). While in hiding from enemies, a prophet writes two of the most doctrinally explosive letters in scripture. How can we make sense of the work of salvation for the dead, and what does it have to do with the "fullness of times"? D&C 127 and 128 reveal the magnificent scope of God's work, which binds heaven and earth together. Summary: This episode explores D&C 125–128, focusing on lessons in discipleship, divine priorities, and the eternal cause of redemption. D&C 125: Saints in Deed. The Lord gives direction to the Saints in Iowa Territory, asking if they are merely "Saints in name only" or truly "essaying to be my saints." The call is to gather and live up to the Book of Mormon standard by naming their city Zarahemla. D&C 126: An Honorable Release. The Lord gives Brigham Young an honorable release from constant missionary travel, declaring, "your offering is acceptable to me." His new command: "take especial care of your family from this time, henceforth and forever." This sets the eternal priority of family over temporary callings. D&C 127-128: The Great Cause. Joseph Smith's letters, written while he was "deep water is what I am wont to swim in," focus intensely on baptism for the dead. The Power of Binding: We learn the "very bold doctrine" that whatsoever is bound on earth by proper priesthood authority is "bound in heaven". This work is essential, as "their salvation is necessary and essential to our salvation." The Record: The Lord requires a recorder who is an "eye-witness" for every ordinance, ensuring the records are "in order" and worthy to be placed in the temple archives. The Offering: Joseph encourages the Saints to "waste and wear out our lives" in this cause. The ultimate goal is to present in the holy temple a "book containing the records of our dead, which shall be worthy of all acceptation"—an offering in righteousness to the returning King. The Final Charge: Joseph rallies the Saints with an ecstatic vision of the Restoration, crying, "shall we not go on in so great a cause? Courage, brethren; and on, on to the victory!" This work forms the "welding together of dispensations" that defines the fullness of times. Call-to-Action: What small act can you do this week to "weld" your family together—living and dead? Good Faith "founding friend" David French joins Curtis Chang for a powerful conversation on revival, revolution, and the future of American Christianity. Together they explore whether today's supposed spiritual movements signal a genuine renewal of faith or a political realignment within evangelical culture. From Gen Z's shifting beliefs to the rise of MAGA Christianity, they unpack the tension between true repentance and political identity. Today, Pastor Jack teaches us that just like in Samuel's time, our enemy Satan is alive and well ready to defeat us. But, if we are aware of the danger, and live dependent on God, a simple song of true worship can send the enemy running.

How would life change if we truly grasped that our old self isn't being renovated but has been completely replaced? Hello friends, welcome to the Brilliant Perspectives podcast. This week, we're concluding our series by exploring the radical truth that God isn't working on our old nature—He crucified it. Graham reveals how our new identity in Christ comes with a new lens, a new mindset, and a new language that elevates us to live above the line of our privilege. Let's jump in with Graham.Key Scriptures+ Romans 6:6-8. "Knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him... Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him..."+ 2 Corinthians 5:17. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new..."+ Colossians 3:1-3. "If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God..."+ Ephesians 2:6. "And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus..."**Want to explore more?**

As the days grow shorter and the air turns colder, many of us feel the heaviness of the season settle in. In today's prayer and devotional, we reflect on the fact that the vibrant colors of fall can be beautiful, but they also remind us of change — of endings, of fading light, and for some, of loss. For those who struggle with sadness or seasonal depression, autumn’s arrival can stir deep emotions of grief and loneliness. In this heartfelt reflection, Vivian Bricker invites us to remember that even in seasons of darkness, God’s light still shines. The same Jesus who conquered death and the grave continues to overcome the shadows within and around us. His presence pushes back despair and fills our hearts with hope. When the darker months approach, we can rest in the truth of John 1:5: no matter how dim life feels, the light of Christ cannot be extinguished. He is the Light of the World — steady, eternal, and strong enough to illuminate even our heaviest days. Today's Bible Reading:“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5

Did you know it was to your advantage that Jesus went away? He did so to send the Comforter—the Holy Spirit—whose presence is even more beneficial than Jesus being here physically. The Holy Spirit reveals truth, brings understanding, reminds us of God's Word, and empowers us to live a supernatural life. If you let Him, He'll teach you to hear God's voice clearly through His Word.
Many people still blame rock music for the rebellious nature of the world today, and that the deal with the devil includes the weakening of morals to easily create a political movement to allow Luciferianism to destroy the Abrahamic religions. Furthermore, the demand for exorcisms appears to be on the rise in many parts of the world. A growing interest in spirituality and mystical experiences, particularly among young people, has also been cited as a reason for increased demand. But has it bred a Satanic acceptance over all? It depends on what you believe the trappings of Satan are. If you think that more people are aware of supernatural forces and the devil, then you are correct. How do you hold onto hope when the answers just aren't coming? What does it look like to keep the faith when it feels like your prayers are going unheard?Olivia (Feller) Gerber's journey with chronic pain began in high school, when unexplained symptoms started to disrupt her daily life. Despite countless medical tests and doctor visits, she was left without a clear diagnosis—only more questions and mounting discouragement. In the midst of the unknown, Olivia discovered she couldn't interpret God's promises through the lens of her pain. Instead, she had to learn to see her circumstances through the truth of Scripture. That shift not only sustained her but inspired her to begin writing letters of encouragement to others walking a similar road, eventually leading to her book, Hold Hope: Encouragement for Christians with Chronic Pain.In this episode, Davey sits down with Olivia to explore the power of praying with specificity, the importance of community in seasons of suffering, and how to cling to hope when your situation seems stuck. If you or someone you love is walking through chronic pain and struggling to hold on to hope, this conversation will remind you that even in the absence of answers or change, God is present in your pain and will give you the strength to keep going. Description: The number of people who have said, ‘Jen, you and John Fugelsang should have a conversation' is approximately one thousand. So naturally, we thought, let's have that conversation where a million listeners can tune in and enjoy it too. Strap yourself in for a wild ride as Jen Hatmaker chats with the ever-entertaining comedian, actor and broadcaster, John Fugelsang, host of the Tell Me Everything series on SiriusXM Progress and The John Fugelsang Podcast. In this episode, they tackle the delightful chaos of breezy topics like Christian nationalism, the real teachings of Jesus (spoiler: it's not about power), and why love trumps all—literally. With his signature blend of humor and razor-sharp insight, John dishes on his book, "Separation of Church and Hate," and why it's time to take back the Bible from the fundamentalist fun police. Get ready for a conversation that's as enlightening as a Sunday sermon, but way more fun. Whether you consider yourself religious, spiritual, atheistic, or just allergic to hypocrisy, THIS is the episode for you. Tune in, laugh, and maybe learn a thing or two! Thought-provoking Quotes: “I think the largest growing demographic we don't talk about is people who were raised religious but now consider themselves spiritual. They're not turned off to spirituality or God or Jesus or belief. They love the great mystery, but they're really turned off to the hypocrisies and the cruelties and the meanness of so many church communities in this country.” – John Fugelsang “ was raised to believe that Christianity was about the stuff that Christ taught and commanded: service to others, humility, love, acceptance, empathy, forgiving your enemies, turning the other cheek, replacing eye-for-an-eye. And the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 25, that individuals and nations are going to be judged by how they care for the poor, care for the sick, welcome the stranger, and care for the incarcerated. That's the stuff Jesus actually talked about.” – John Fugelsang “American Christians have been manipulated with all this homophobia, all this hatred of immigrants and none of that comes from Jesus and it's been done by a political movement that is only about power. Conservative Christian power, not the teachings of Christ, not the religious freedom, not fighting Satan, conservative Christian power.” – John Fugelsang “If Jesus spoke in parable and metaphor, why is it so hard to view the Bible as parable and metaphor? We get so hung up on proving the facts of the Bible that we miss the truth of the Bible. And the Bible has a lot of truth. It does not have a lot of facts.” – John Fugelsang Resources Mentioned in This Episode: Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person's Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds by John Fugelsang - https://amzn.to/4husQF3 Tell Me Everything with John Fugelsang on SiriusXM - https://www.siriusxm.com/blog/tag/john-fugelsang John's Links: Website - https://www.johnfugelsang.com/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/johnfugelsang/ Twitter - https://x.com/JohnFugelsang Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/john.fugelsang.9 Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/@JJbirdsong1 Substack - https://johnfugelsang.substack.com/ Podcast - https://www.johnfugelsang.com/podcast Connect with Jen!Jen's Website - https://jenhatmaker.com/ Jen's Instagram - https://instagram.com/jenhatmakerJen's Twitter - https://twitter.com/jenHatmaker/ Jen's Facebook - https://facebook.com/jenhatmakerJen's YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/user/JenHatmaker The For the Love Podcast is presented by Audacy.
