Pero lo que parece un thriller al uso, resulta que es una distopía en la que media humanidad acaba desapareciendo o eso dicen. Lo mejor : Grandísimos James Marsden, muy presidencial, Sterling K. Brown, jefe de seguridad y Julianne Nichols, consejera y villana con toque Joker. Los tres, candidatos al Emmy. Su originalidad. Lo peor: Que se te haga bola la mezcla de géneros. Hay que intentar perseverar porque merece la pena. Tráiler Tracker Disney + Plus 1 temporadas 12 episodios. Esta es la que no podía fallar pero lo hizo. Tiene un protagonista apuesto, carismático, entregado, que interpreta a un moderno cazador de recompensas. Según él, “todo el mundo busca algo”. Va de caso en caso, ayudado por sus tías y su amigo hacker, y tiene un pasado familiar que lo persigue. Lo mejor: Es cómoda de ver. No te pide esfuerzos intelectuales.La costumbre del protagonista de vivir la vida sin camiseta para dar envidia. Lo peor: Inesperadamente, los casos son malos, vulgares y algunos no hay por donde cogerlo, mientras otros son más o menos entretenidos. Justin Hartley es un actor muy limitado. Tráiler Ballard. Amazon Prime Video. 1 temporada. 10 episodios. Resulta inesperada porque piensas que va a ser una más de detectives y resulta que es muy original. Ballard es una agente carismática, solitaria, de armas tomar, que ha sido enviada a galeras por denunciar corrupción policial y acoso. La mandan a desempolvar casos antiguos con un equipo formado por veteranos, becarios y cooperantes. Lo mejor: Tanto la trama central como los casos capitulares a los que se enfrentan están muy bien traídos. El magnetismo de la protagonista Maggie Q. (Nikita) Lo peor: Los malos tienen un puntito Golfos apandadores y Ricardo Chavira, villano principal, está un poco pasado de rosca. Tráiler

Your Stupid Minds jumps right on the zeitgeist to cover possibly one of the worst movies of 2025. Released just a week ago on Amazon Prime Video, War of the Worlds (2025) asks the question "have you ever wanted to see the classic H.G. Wells story adapted into a 90 minute Microsoft Teams meeting?" And the answer from the public is a resounding "NO!" We should also note this movie was shot in 2020 using COVID protocols, and it shows. William Radford (Ice Cube) is NSA's only employee. When he isn't using government resources to spy on his daughter Faith's (Iman Benson) fridge, or uninstalling Counter-Strike from his son David's (Henry Hunter Hall) Steam account, he's trying to catch a hacker known as "Disruptor." He thinks he's pinpointed his location by copy/pasting his IP out of his YouTube video's source code (lol) and a task force comes to a building to take him down. Of course, if you've seen the title of this movie, you know none of this matters, because aliens invade and blow up a bunch of landmarks with meteors. The invaders are after data, trying to suck out all the data from the world's servers so they can become more powerful. With the help of his family and NASA friend Sandra (Eva Longoria), William uses all the apps available to him to save the world. Of course, he needs a little help from Faith's boyfriend Mark (Devon), an Amazon driver who uses his elite delivery skills to send William a flash drive packed with alien-killing viruses to his location using a drone. Did we mention this movie is on Prime Video? Will they save the world? Will Mark get promoted to a golden pee bottle? Will you throw up from the camera swirling across a computer screen at 3,000 miles per hour? You'll have to listen to find out! But please don't watch the movie.

Episode 56 – Review: The Accountant 2 (2025)Back in 2016, Ben Affleck surprised a lot of people with "The Accountant", a sleek, mysterious action thriller where he played Christian Wolff, a math savant with deadly skills. That film, written by Ozark series creator Bill Dubuque, had an incredible cast (John Lithgow, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Anna Kendrick, Jean Smart) and a vibe that stuck with people. For years, a sequel was teased, and now, nearly a decade later, it's finally here.The Accountant 2 makes the rare move of actually improving on the original. Director Gavin O'Connor returns, and Affleck is back as Wolff, joined again by Cynthia Addai Robinson and Jon Bernthal. Newcomer Daniela Pineda (playing Lena) is a total standout. One change this time around: the character of Justine (Christian's mysterious associate) is now played by Allison Robinson, taking over voice and on screen duties from Allison Wright. And it works.While the first movie had a haunting score by Mark Isham, this sequel switches gears with a fresh and impressive score by Bryce Dessner. The vibe is a little different, but it still pulls you into Wolff's world.There's a planned third film to complete the trilogy, and both O'Connor and Affleck have hinted at wanting Anna Kendrick back for that one.
