The strange activity at Cannock chase includes all manner of strange creatures, from Werewolves and Dogmen and sightings of the elusive British bigfoot to ghostly visitations, succubus attacks and plenty of UFO, shadow beings and black eyed children to name but a few. The chase is infamous for those very reasons in the UK and many people report demonic or entity possession when staying over or visiting the chase. I noticed several years ago there were high numbers of missing people, pets and farm animals in higher numbers than other towns in Staffordshire. I also wondered if the chase has other hidden secrets. . Who knows what happens in the dark of the night. But have you ever wondered if there is a connection to all of this strangeness and the gruesome serial killer that used the chase as his hunting ground in the 1960's? The area gained notoriety in the late 1960s when the Cannock Chase murders made national headlines; when the remains of three young girls were found on the Chase after they went missing from areas along the A34 road that runs into central Birmingham. Raymond Leslie Morris, a motor engineer from Walsall, was found guilty at Stafford Assizes of one of the murders in 1968 and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He died in prison in March 2014, aged 84, after serving 45 years.Cannock Chase PDF = Cannock Chase PDF - https://docs.google.com/document/d/120QEY8B6iL0mcXDwTlpPccF7LBIYJnHxrmmIwwMa6Eo/edit?usp=sharinghttps://linktr.ee/bbrinvestigations Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/deborah-hatswell-bbr-investigations-cryptid-creatures-mystery-and-unexplained-events--2840337/support.

If you are interested in the cryptid or fortean subjects you will no doubt have heard of the host of eye witness accounts that have taken place close to the Shroppie canal or Cannock chase areas. I also have witness reports in the Pendeford area. Recently I was contacted by a fellow investigator who shared a recent case with me that he has been working on. The report takes place where the historical reports of the Canal man monkey have taken place. Seb: I could see fairly well from my headlights but not like you would if it had been directly in front of me. But I saw it clearly enough to know it had stood upright and was actually standing at the opening of the field at the gap between the tall hedge line that runs along the lane on both sides. It was an opening leading into a farmers field, with a wide wooden gate with those panels going across then one diagonally each way. It stood with one hand on the gate, turned slightly and I could clearly see it was looking at me from the side of its eyes but not facing me."

Episode 50 : A Clockwork Orange with Malcolm McDowell We continue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of A Clockwork Orange, and are very excited to share with all our listeners, a very special interview that we conducted with Alex DeLarge himself, Mr. Malcolm McDowell. Many actors, if not most, play out their careers without playing even one iconic role. Malcolm McDowell achieved two within his career's first half-decade. And if Mick Travis in Lindsay Anderson's If… and Alex DeLarge in A Clockwork Orange have cast a long shadow over everything that he's done since, McDowell has always been cheerfully honest about his priorities: Regular work is far more important to him than consistent artistic brilliance. In any case, as he told The Guardian in 2004, "it's easy to be good in a Robert Altman film. You try being good in Cyborg 3”. He was born Malcolm Taylor in Leeds on 13 June 1943, and was educated at Cannock public school before turning down a university place in favor of working in his father's Liverpool pub, followed by a stint as a traveling salesman. The acting bug bit shortly afterwards, and he joined a touring repertory company, taking on his mother's maiden name in the process. Moving to London, he worked briefly with the Royal Shakespeare Company, secured a few minor television roles, and then joined the Royal Court Theatre just in time to be asked to audition for If... We spoke to Malcolm in July 2021…

BBR Witness Report: “I live near the Cannock chase area. I had a real encounter with something strange, out the corner of my eye I saw something that looked like a person in a Chewbacca costume, he was just really bulky and big, whatever it was it stood still like it had been frozen in time, so I shouted in a friendly voice "what are you doing in a costume out here, are you stupid"? He was about 250/300 feet away from me and as I shouted he turned around and let off this growl that was like a lion's roar but from inside its body. I stood frozen and it turned its leg and went to move, the back muscles expanded like a bodybuilder and it began to run away. It wasn't coming to me, but running in the opposite direction? Whatever this "thing" was, it had patches of hair or fur missing on it's back and right leg? It was a dark colour, you could see the muscles expanding when it moved, it had patches of hair missing like it had been caught on barb wire or attacked in some way? It moved in a weird way, when it turned to look at me, it moved its head and shoulder at the same time, like it couldn't turn it's head without turning its body somehow. Last week I published an interview recorded by Natalia and Peter Moore with a witness to a Demonic being at cannock chase. Natalia and Peter recorded the interview with Mark and he agreed to share his experiences on tape. Which in the UK is very Rare. On Marks first experience he was only 17 but it is still burnt into his memory to this day, he is in his 40's now and was a serving soldier. But that day on the chase when he was confronted on the chase by something demonic has never left his mind. He only went for a call of nature and receive far more than he bargained for. Many years later he would find himself in a similar situation.Mark told us "It's the second time I stopped for a pee down there when I had a strange experience. The first time I saw something I described demonic. This time I heard thick heavy footsteps walking the gravel trail behind me. I was out with the dog three times when this happened it felt like we were escorted out of the area. On the third occasion my dog lunged and snapped at something I couldn't see". Mark was punched hard between his shoulders and he dropped down onto one knee the punch was so violent. Three seconds before the punch Marks dog had snapped at an invisible entity.Mark asked if he was followed those three times? Was it just a Being moving Mark from the area? It was only on the third occasion that the dog reacted. Had the dog not picked up on this invisible thing before? Or did It come to close this time sending the dog into protect mode? Was this about territory due to Marks many visits and his peeing in the area. Or was the invisible thing honing in on his pheromones??We have thousands of missing males all across the UK, all unaccounted for, some for decades. What if something is out there in the woods taking them? What if it is something manufactured here by an unknown. Or what if it is not of this earth at all?I think Mark is possibly describing one of the genetic hybrids that hunt humans on this plane? It was invisible, It tracked him and then attacked. Is this predator watching Mark? And if so why was he left to walk home? Is he important to THEM in some way? Mark goes on to describe the many missing pets in the areas around Cannock.
Mark is a 46 year old ex serviceman who is sharing his experiences from Cannock Chase. Mark feels that many of his experiences happened at times of stress of when his mood is low. His first encounter was at the Castle ring, to the left of the ring there is a track. Mark was sitting in the car with his girlfriend and needed to relieve himself. As he was answering a call of nature he saw something he will never forget. What he saw was demonic, he was pure black, with red eyes. It must have been 71/2 ft tall. It had fur or hair, which had smudges of blood or dirt. It had big jaw, it had the features of a wildman, Mark felt it was showing itself in that appearance. He felt it was purely demonic, it excuded threat and fear. What was worse was the 'Thing' was enjoying his fear. It had a sinister grin and was clearly enjoying it. Mark was completely paralysed with fear. Its lower mandible was very large, almost mis matched with the appearance. Mark knew it was enjoying itself and feeding from him. It moved a couple of inches and vanished. It didnt walk off, it just vanished. For all it was only a small fraction of time I will never forget it. When it left I was just standing there paralysed. Even after serving as a soldier I never experienced fear like this. I was transfixed on its eyes as they were red and evil. All I can remember was the hair/fur that was smeared and its jaw. It didnt walk into view, it just appeared right there in front of me. Walking back to the car all I could think of was how I would explain to my girlfriend what had just happened. I was trying to be as cool and calm as possible but I persuaded her to move to another area closer to Gentleshaw. I was a bit embarrassed and confused. I almost felt like I had a complete reboot. I have never doubted this experience at any point through life. The eyes on this thing were the worst, the features from the chest up were so hard to understand, let alone explain. It felt like an Alpha male. That exuded from it.Mark said It never made a noise, no growl, no snarl just silence. It leant forward and vanished. Mark was convinced his action of relieving himself may have started the encounter as years later he was again caught short and had another experience. Even though it was misty on the chase that is not unusual for that area. In future encounters Mark had a warning feeling, he trusted that, but on this first encounter there was no warning, no sign of anything out of place. Any experience that followed this event was much easier for Mark to handle. This event challenged my belief system, and that was a struggle for me. Back then I was a bit of a lukewarm Christian. Now I am a born again Christian. This was the real first major event that sent me in a whole other direction. To hear the rest of Mark's experience listen to the full interview. Part 2 will follow next week.
Last month I was contacted by Richard J, from Wolverhampton, he was kind enough to share his many strange experiences. Richard was interviewed by Peter and Natalia Moore and they all visited the area of Richards most recent experience. In the last article we heard about the many UFO sightings Richards has had. He also explained about the shadow figures in his home and some other paranormal events. After witnessing a Large Cat stalking a deer on the chase Richard shied away from the area for a while and now only visits at night if he has company. But as he pointed out, its rare to find someone who is prepared to sit out with you at night in a deserted forest which is known for Werewolves, Bigfoot, Ghosts, Black eyed Children, The Pigman, Wolves and Large Cats. Luckily thats Natalia's and Pete's ideo of a good night. Once this lockdown is over you are more than welcome to join them.Richard was with his cousin when he had many of his experiences. His cousin James has had some experiences of his own on the chase. Whilst up there sky watching with a friend, they saw a dark silhouette moving towards them, they described it as being "around 8ft tall, it had a conical body shape, large across the chest and much narrower down where the legs were" both of the men were terrified, and the figure continued to come towards them in a fast paced motion. They described the unusual way It walked and they way the arms swung as it moved along. They turned the car headlights on and the figure vanished. It was nowhere to be seen. They left the chase quickly and didnt return to that spot for a very long time. Richard often takes his telescope up to the chase and has seen orb like lights hovering over the city. And on one occasion when he was with a friend he saw a tall dark shadow in his peripheral vision. He described it as a dark coloum. He walked back and forth and tried to see where it had gone but sadly he was unable to. The chase is certainly a place packed with phenomena. Natalia & Peter Moore are investigating this case on behalf of BBR. They have travelled down to speak with Rich about his earlier experiences and the latest event that just happened at Cannock. Then they travelled to Cannock Chase and interviewed him in the area where he saw this strange morphing object. As with most witnesses this gentleman has had other strange events and witnessed UFO and crafts, spirit and had some supernatural experiences and he kindly spoke about these events during the interview.Natalia and Dr Peter will continue their investigations at Cannock and are planning to meet up with some of the other experiencers who live close by.Witness Report: Richard J- Cannock Chase, 21/11/19- "You mentioned in a Youtube comment that you would like me to share some of my experiences, I think I would like to start sharing now and see if anyone has had similar ones to me. I have have a plethora of experiences growing up as a child, into adulthood and even all the way up to present day.Ive seen countless Ufos with friends and family even Iv caught one or two on camera, Ive seen strange sky anomalies through my telescope which I can't explain because it's not anything Ive seen in my personal research on space and various strange phenomena. Also I've got some accounts from family members who were witnesses to the Green man or The Woodwoose in the chase. I have also experienced strange shadow figures in the home.
"Hi Deb, I am interested in the subjects you raise and in 2019 I had an experience at Cannock chase that has puzzled me for the last year or so. So I went back this weekend and again we had some very strange things happen whilst we were camping there""We have been to Cannock Chase a couple of times on research investigations and camp overs. The second time we went we were near the Brocton area of Cannock. Because I have the sightings map I got off your channel on youtube I knew this would be a good area to concentrate on, due to the number of reports that have happened to the general public when they have visited the area.We got in and set up, then we walked for a few miles around in the woods to get a feel for the place and we came across a really densely packed wooded area which we just had to have a look at, so we went in. About 20, 30 feet inside the wood we found an abandoned campsite, where the tent was torn and there was rubbish in bags all around on the ground, it looked like someone had left in a hurry, we were not too sure what to make of it so we left that wood and had a few mile walk around checking out other areas for any signs of activity. On our way back to camp my friend stopped and he was looking off into this woodline and said "What the f**k was that". I turned to him and saw his face, then I quickly turned to where he was looking but I couldn't see anything, so I asked him "what did you see?" He said "I don't know but it was big and moving down on all fours". So me being me I went straight into the wood to try and see what my friend was seeing. I couldn't see anything moving, but I did find bones on the floor where my friend said he saw this thing, the bones looked like a young Deers bones due to the size of its skull and a there was also a couple of leg bones but they looked very fresh.Ever since that day me and my friend have been talking about what happened and what he could have seen, so we have come up with a plan to just keep going back in the hopes of finding some Answers. Thanks Alan"Alan has been able to visit the Chase and keep his investigations going. Here is a recent update from Alan after a visit in late October 2020.

On March 5, 2020, the ICC announced it was opening a formal criminal inquiry into potential war crimes committed in Afghanistan by its warring parties, including the Taliban, Afghan government, and U.S. forces. Although the ICC's investigation has been criticized by U.S. officials under the Trump Administration, international justice advocates are heralding it as a unique moment for global accountability as it represents the first time the ICC has opened an investigation against a superpower nation. Al Bawaba spoke with Matt Cannock who heads Amnesty International's Centre for International Justice, which is just a short walk away from the ICC's headquarters in The Hague. In our conversation, Cannock makes clear that not only is the ICC's decision to investigate U.S. actions in Afghanistan a historic moment, it is one of a growing number of ambitious decisions the ICC has undertaken in the last 12 months, and suggests 2020 could be a transformative year for accountability.

Supplying quality conscious market sectors such as the automotive, aerospace, electronics and rail industries is why Cannock based Key Precision has put its faith in machine tools from Citizen. Down the years, the Staffordshire subcontract business has placed its stock in Citizen, installing three A32 sliding head turning centres in 20-13 and more recently adding an L32 Type 8 with LFV and an Iemca Boss 338-HD barfeed unit. Like any other subcontract manufacturer operating in high-value supply chains, the ISO: 9001 and AS: 9100 accredited company has to have productivity and cost-down considerations at its core. This is why Key Precision specified the Citizen, as Greg Jackson told MTDCNC: “The machine is great, but the problem we now have is that we can’t get enough bars on the L32. We have a particular component that we were making five at a time. W ith a few tweaks, we managed to get from 5 parts to 50 on an alternative machine, but now with the Citizen we’re running 500-off lights-out without intervention. Now, the barfeed is running out of stock before we get a chance to re-stock the machine.” This is clearly a great problem to have for the subcontract business, as it was previously having issues with swarf wrapping and the necessity for an operator to remove string like swarf from the work envelope for machining to continue. By adopting the LFV technology, Key Precision can now run its parts lights-out massively increasing productivity. Referring to the particular batch-production part that has been improved, Greg says: “The bearing retainer part is produced from 7075 aluminium with a 10 micron tolerance on the diameter all along the length. Originally we planned to have the parts ground, but the consistency of the Citizen and its LFV means we can eliminate that operation and drop finished parts out of the machine in a single hit.” “We are running the machine in non-guidebush mode with a stroke of 80mm; and using the full stroke, we can still comfortably hold tolerance and we can probably machine in the realms of 3XD. In addition, the LFV system is ensuring that the swarf is breaking off in very small chips, so we’re not getting any damage on the part.” “We are now looking at different ways to get the bars off the machines, as in some cases, our collection system cannot contain the high-quantity and frequency of the parts. Additionally, we have to be careful not to damage any parts, especially on tight tolerance work.” Discussing the new Citizen L32 in general terms, Greg says: “The work envelope is very spacious for us to get into the machine and access tools and workpieces. Additionally, the door is very large, and the access is more comparable to that of a larger fixed head machine. There is also a back door to get to the tools from the rear. We have four driven tools at the front end with the option to put an arm in there for a manual B-axis, so we can go up to seven tools. We also have five live tools at the back and three deep hole drilling tools next to the sub-spindle. We have used this on quite a few occasions when you need extra-long drills that can go next to the sub-spindle, providing there are no clashes with the back-working tools – we have drilled over 180mm deep on the machine.” As well as the LFV system for swarf breaking, Key Precision specified the Citizen machine with medium pressure coolant supply. As Greg Jackson says: “This particular L32 model only has the LFV system on the main spindle, so we put medium pressure coolant supply on the machine with 80bar pressure. This enables us to clear any swarf from the back-working tools.”

This week, we’re talking about Dragon Quest 2! We had a listener poll, and this is the topic you chose. A HUGE thanks to everyone who voted. We’re going to be holding another poll soon, so make sure you keep an eye out for that. We’re going to be discussing the game in-depth (plus the game is, like, 30 years old), so there will be some SPOILERS ahead. For those of you who haven’t played the game, Austin gives a brief synopsis at the beginning of the episode. He played the mobile version, and B.J. has played bits of both the GameBoy Color and mobile versions. After that, we run through the main characters and discuss the perks (and pitfalls) of having three people in your party. From the weird AI in the mobile version to the many deaths of the Prince of Cannock, we have a long discussion about all the great--and not so great--things DQ2 has to offer! Then, it’s time to talk about all the times Austin almost quit playing the game--but how he’s glad he beat it. Sunken Treasure, the Cave of Rendarak, and the final battle with Malroth--we talk about it all! Then, listen to why Austin feels respect for the game now, and also thinks of the game as his...little brother?!? That doesn’t sound right. How can a video game be like a little brother? Core Hill Wood Sept 2016 Witness account: "I have been picking my walks carefully over the past week and today I decided to go into my local woods approximately one mile away @7pm. As soon as we got there, we being me and my daughter we decided to walk off the beaten path which we would not normally do. We walked about a 1/4 mile in and I started to see shelters made against trees with branches? lots of leaning sticks and twigs, at this point sunset was at 7.45pm, so it was already starting to get dimpsy (dusk/twilight). I’m stood looking at these branches and sticks 'someone/thing' had gone to a lot of trouble to pull branches big enough that I think a couple of men may have struggled with. It just did not make sense to me at all.At this point i’m still not convinced and im trying to debunk all this mess. Im also finding loads of broken branches from saplings or trees scattered that hadn't made it into the pile/structure? We left this area and continued for about 1/2 a mile, and there is another branch/stick shelter I presume is for cover but this one was made much lower to the ground.Bringing you Witness reports and Guests each week, these are exclusive Podcasts and will air on Youtube one week later, Thank you for following our Podcast, please share to show support. Andy Spencer has been involved with the music industry since the late 1980’s. Today, he still possesses the same passion and enthusiasm for music but with the added knowledge and experience to know what makes a crowd scream with approval! Like many DJ’s of his era, Andy has progressed from playing vinyl records to CDs, and has established a great understanding of the Pioneer CDJ1000’s and various professional mixer units. And certainly the last 10 years have demonstrated that Andy can ‘mix it with the best’, with appearances at the Winter Music Conference, Miami, plus DJ sets at the Ministry of Sound, London, the Custard Factory, Birmingham, Fez Club, Cambridge, Club North, Manchester, Rapture, Loughborough, Escapade, Newport, and Studio 54, Coventry. Some of these appearances have been alongside established DJ’s such as • Seamus Haji (Big Love) • Mark Doyle (Fierce Angel/Hed Kandi) • Dan Smith (Danism/Defected) • Michael Gray (Full Intention) • Sonny Wharton (Toolroom) • Jim ‘Shaft’ Ryan (Miss Moneypenny’s) • Jeff Jefferson (Miss Moneypenny’s) • Tom Heron (Café Mambo) • Miss Divine (Cream) • Claire Spooner (Pacha) • Andy Nicholls (Love Shy) • Jon Vickers (Ibiza Rocks) • Rid Welson (Naughty But Nice) • Dave Pearce (Dance Anthems) • and the late, great Tony De Vit (Trade). He has also had mixes featured on radio via BRMB FM’s DanceMasters show and Riley & Durrant on Galaxy FM. Although he started DJ’ing back in 1988, developing through a mixture of private parties and several more commercial venue residencies, it wasn’t until the Summer of 2005 when he launched Funkin Good – a brand to promote ‘chunky, funky & soulful house music’. Andy enjoyed much success in the running, promoting and DJ’ing at various events throughout the Midlands. During 2010 he ran several Funkin Good All-Night Party’s at Karma Bar in Great Yarmouth, with further more successful nights in 2011. In May 2008, Andy collaborated with fellow Midlands DJ’s Alex Ross, Shaun Mynett and James Brewerton to launch FLUSH. They quickly established a monthly night at the Forge Bar in Cannock playing funky, electro, tech and progressive house music. The night has gone from strength to strength, and has subsequently held events at the Custard Factory in Birmingham, Bar 360 in Stoke On Trent, the Loft Bar and Ciro’s in Ashby De La Zouch, and the Ikon Bar in Newcastle Under Lyme. In addition, Andy has returned to more commercial venues with a Summer 2009 residency completed at the Varsity Bar in Coventry, quickly followed by a new Friday night residency at Rio’s in Leamington Spa. The success of Friday nights has continued throughout 2010, and in addition Andy has taken bookings throughout the UK, plus various other events & parties that he is invited to play at! Currently, Andy has a DJ residency at The Ropewalk in St Paul’s Square, Birmingham on both Friday & Saturday nights. Friday is a commercial night featuring music from different genres & decades, with Saturday night promoted as a House Music event under the name of STYLE. The success of this Saturday night event has led to further DJ appearances & the running of STYLE night’s at other Midlands venues. A recent new venture for Andy has been to co-produce a monthly podcast show with Shaun Mynett for Electronic Sessions. As of March 2011, Andy produces & hosts a monthly 1 hour podcast show called House Bound, and is broadcast exclusively on Sense.fm. The success of these 2 projects have led to his new weekly show called At Night that he presents for Cannock based station, Chase.fm. During the Summer of 2012, Andy was invited to join the DJ roster for the legendary club night Miss Moneypennys, and has been involved with the renaissance of the brand over the past few months. Away from the club scene, Andy also provides DJ & PA services to several major High Street retailers, such as Selfridges, House of Fraser, Debenhams & Bank. So, continuing into 2013 & what is shaping up to be another hugely successful year for Andy Spencer, with some new DJ, production & promotion projects. But one thing will always be the case - Andy is a hard working, experienced DJ with an immense passion for house music.
