Step 3: Create Your Product in Under 10 Minutes Use this second prompt: Prompt #2 Write me a short, high-value checklist or guide that solves [insert problem] in under 10 minutes. Copy the results into: Google Docs → edit → save as PDF, or Canva → choose a free guide template → paste → customize → download as PDF. Step 4: Get Over the Fear of Selling Nervous about putting your product out there? Try this: Prompt #3 Act as my business coach. I'm feeling nervous about selling my product. Write me a short pep talk about why my product is valuable and how sharing it will help people. Read it before you post — it works like a confidence switch. BRING IRISH & CELTIC MUSIC TO THE WORLD FOR 20 YEARS On July 28, 2005, I released the very first episode of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. This was not my first podcast. There were four others that I released first. All of them are still available to this day. Though one podfaded. When I started, I was publishing the Celtic Music Magazine every week. I started podcasting to promote Celtic bands, but mostly I wanted to promote my own band, Brobdingnagian Bards. It was a new and exciting way to get my music heard. But something happened along the way. It became less and less about my band and more about how I could help bands be heard. And it worked. In fact, I featured a total of 79 Celtic bands in the months that followed in 2005. That includes Brobdingnagian Bards and my Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers project. Many of these artists are no longer performing. What's more interesting is that about a quarter of these artists are still making new music to this day. Today, I will highlight some of the amazing Celtic bands that are still performing after 15 - 20 years. I started my list with three perennial favorites of mine who've been on the show for a long time and are still performing: Poitin, Ed Miller, and The Gothard Sisters. Coffee—is it friend or foe? That seemingly innocent question sparked this deep dive into coffee science after a colleague questioned my own consumption habits. As a health professional and coffee enthusiast, I was surprised by the persistent myths surrounding this beloved bean.Coffee contains over a thousand bioactive compounds beyond caffeine, including powerful antioxidants called chlorogenic acids that demonstrate anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anti-cancer properties. Research consistently shows that moderate coffee consumption (3-4 cups daily) correlates with reduced risks of cardiovascular disease, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and several types of cancer. Even your gut microbiome benefits, with studies identifying specific beneficial bacteria that flourish exclusively in coffee drinkers.But not all coffee is created equal. Filtered coffee traps cholesterol-raising diterpenes that pass through into French press and espresso preparations. In the summer of 1798, in the town of Enniscorthy, a spark was lit that echoed across the centuries. Inspired by the ideals of liberty and self - determination that fueled the American and French Revolutions, ordinary Irish men and women rose up against British rule—hoping to shape a freer, more equal Ireland. The United Irishmen, a movement of Protestants and Catholics alike, dreamed of unity. But their rebellion was met with brutal force. The most haunting chapter came to a head on Vinegar Hill, where rebels made their last stand. Though the 1798 Rebellion was crushed, the spirit behind it lived on. It became a quiet current beneath Irish history, resurfacing again in 1916 during the Easter Rising—and carrying through to modern Ireland. Today's episode features songs and tunes inspired by the 1798 rebellion. These are songs of hope, defiance, heartbreak, and memory. This episode is not about blame. Modern medicine has a blind spot – one that's costing us dearly in terms of health and longevity. Despite overwhelming scientific evidence that nutrition and exercise are the two most powerful levers for preventing and reversing chronic disease, most physicians receive minimal training in these areas. After completing a decade of rigorous medical education, I emerged with hundreds of hours of pharmacology training but barely 10 hours on nutrition. This disconnect continues to shape our healthcare system decades later.The six pillars of lifestyle medicine – nutrition, exercise, sleep hygiene, stress management, avoidance of toxic substances, and social connection – have been proven exponentially more effective at extending healthspan than pharmaceutical interventions. Yet our medical system remains structured around treating diseases rather than preventing them. The curriculum is overloaded with clinical guidelines, new drugs, and interventional procedures, leaving little room for the fundamentals of health promotion. Without "big broccoli" to fund multi-million dollar studies and marketing campaigns, nutrition science gets sidelined in favor of more profitable interventions.This knowledge gap creates real consequences. Patients with heart disease, diabetes, and obesity leave appointments with prescriptions but minimal practical guidance about food. Without evidence-based nutrition advice from their trusted healthcare providers, people turn to social media and fall down rabbit holes of misinformation. The good news is that change is coming. The American College of Lifestyle Medicine now offers board certification, some medical schools are incorporating cooking classes and motivational interviewing, and in 2026, our family medicine residency program will integrate comprehensive lifestyle medicine training. You can accelerate this shift by asking your doctor nutrition-specific questions, seeking out lifestyle medicine practitioners, and demonstrating through your own health improvements that food truly is medicine. Remember – genetics may load the gun, but lifestyle pulls the trigger. What if everything you thought about "cheat days" is actually sabotaging your health goals? That's the question at the heart of this eye-opening exploration into our complex relationship with food. Drawing from real patient experiences and scientific evidence, Dr. Jules reveals the psychological trap many fall into: eating "clean" during the week only to binge on weekends, ultimately erasing any progress made.The problem isn't just caloric, it's psychological. Labeling foods as "cheats" creates a moral framework around eating that breeds guilt and shame. One patient couldn't understand why they weren't losing weight despite eating "just salads" most days, while weekend indulgences with wine and restaurant meals completely eliminated their weekday calorie deficit. This all-or-nothing approach represents diet culture at its most harmful, creating an unsustainable cycle that damages both physical health and mental wellbeing.Instead of this restrictive approach, Dr. Jules advocates for the evidence-based 80-20 rule: aim for 80% of calories from nutrient-dense whole foods (primarily plants) while allowing 20% flexibility for treats, social occasions, and less nutrient-dense options. This balanced approach ensures nutritional adequacy while creating space for joy and celebration without guilt. By focusing on adding nutrient-rich foods rather than restricting "bad" ones, we naturally crowd out less healthy options while building a sustainable relationship with eating that can last a lifetime. Mark Adamczyk emailed from Akron, Ohio: "Mark, Just wanted to reach out to you about the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast.  I found you on Sirius XM last year (March 2024) while recovering from back surgery (herniated a disc last February.  220 V down the left leg  -  that was a TON of fun!!)  Hearing you mention recovering from hip replacement surgery the other week made me feel a certain kinship with you around the podcast.  About 3 weeks after surgery, my wife and I received an invitation to travel to Ireland with our kid's high school band for them to play in the Dublin St Patrick's Day parade.  (Our kids have graduated but I still cover the sports as team physician!)  Having made enough of a recovery to do the walking needed, we made the trip and had an absolute BLAST touring Southern Ireland (Dublin, Kilkenny, Blarney, Killarney [my favorite!!], Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Mohr). When I got back to the States, I started looking around for ways to listen to Celtic music as we thoroughly enjoyed listening to it while on vacation.  I then found your podcast and have been listening somewhat regularly since.  (Summertime tends toward country music for me.  But when the weather gets colder, especially after the holidays, I find myself looking for you again!  I also catch up a bit sitting outside on a weekend morning on our back patio at other times when I get the chance!) We also got a new dog soon after coming home and named him Guinness in honor of the trip!  (We also thought he reminded us a bit of a pint of the brew with his white accents!  Check out his collar!)  When I take him on his daily walks, you are a regular on our playlist!  Me walking my Irish dog and listening to the I&CMP while recovering from back surgery  -  beautiful!!! An album pin is a lapel pin with artwork inspired by a specific album or song from an album. It could be the actual album artwork or it could be inspired by a specific track on the album.
