Summary: In this solo episode, Susie takes you behind the scenes for a peak at her journey of creating Franchise Clarity. This software revolutionizes reputation and customer experience management for franchise owners. Susie discusses the crucial steps of discovering customer needs, refining product scope, and the ongoing evolution of developing a minimum viable product (MVP). With insights on the importance of AI and automation, she provides a candid look into navigating the SaaS industry, offering key lessons and advice for entrepreneurs.  Key Points: Always start with identifying a need for your product concept in the market.  Data collection and research into customer needs is an ongoing process. AI can assist in analyzing data and research. Narrowing down the product's focus to customer experience was an important pivot during development. User feedback is key for fine-tuning the interface and overall experience. Susie Liberatore, a seasoned entrepreneur, discovered her passion for business ownership at a young age. Following years of academic pursuits and corporate experience, she founded her initial venture, Visions2images.com. What began as a solo endeavor has now evolved into a thriving enterprise led by Susie and supported by a team of 13 professionals. In a remarkably short period, she has elevated the brand's success by providing comprehensive services like website development, social media management, SEO, content creation, and paid advertising. Fueling her entrepreneurial spirit, Susie went on to establish various companies, showcasing her versatility in business development. The latest addition to her portfolio is Franchise-clarity.com. Recognizing a gap in the franchise market, she innovatively developed marketing software to address specific needs within the industry. For inquiries on potential partnerships and investments, feel free to contact Susie Liberatore to discover how she can contribute to the growth of your business. #319: The Importance of the KISS Principle

Healthcare Entrepreneur Academy Podcast

OVERVIEW: "Keep it simple, stupid!" - A design principle noted by the U.S. Navy   Jason A. Duprat, Entrepreneur, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Entrepreneur Academy podcast, talks about keeping your business "Simple." Jason shares one of the most common traps new business owners fall into – chasing "Shiny Objects" or feeling the need to be "Extraordinary." You don't need to do extraordinary things to achieve extraordinary results, and in this episode, Jason explains why. Tune in until the end to hear about Jason's new rank-topping book!   3 KEY POINTS: Always think of ways to simplify your business processes. Don't overthink, and don't overcomplicate. Think forward to the impact of your decision years down the line.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: "Keep it simple, stupid" is a powerful motto Jason has followed since he heard it from his high school teacher. People often believe they need to be wildly "extraordinary" and accomplish "complex" feats. In an interview, Warren Buffet once said, "you don't have to do exceptional things to get exceptional results." Instead of doing extraordinary things, strive to do simple things extraordinarily. In business, complex systems can cost you effectiveness and efficiency. Keep things at a level where it's easy for everyone to understand. Simple systems and processes benefit you during turnover, as it isn't difficult to pass on responsibilities if they are easy to understand. Pursue businesses that are simple and boring but deliver exceptional results. Business owners who dislike doing "boring" work and are distracted and chase down new, exciting, shiny objects usually deliver subpar results. Moving from "good to great" and "great to exceptional" takes a lot of time, effort, repetition, and going through the "boring" things that feel as if they don't make any progress. As an example, Jason and his team are in the process of simplifying their business. He will consolidate his different business entities into one overarching brand called "Healthcare Boss" to avoid the complexity of using several accounts for several apps.   CONNECT WITH JASON DUPRAT LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram | Youtube Email: support@jasonduprat.com Join our Facebook group: https://jasonduprat.com/group    RESOURCES Want to become an IV Nutritional Therapy provider? No matter how good it is, It can always be improved.   Jason A. Duprat, Entrepreneur, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Entrepreneur Academy podcast, sits down with Guy Friedman, CEO and Co-Founder at SteadyMD and HigherNext. In this episode, Guy shares the story of how he built his businesses from the ground up, the rationale behind each process, and how virtual care has contributed to the massive change in our healthcare system. Tune in to learn more about the greatest instrument he's wielded since childhood: his mindset.   3 KEY POINTS: Always assume that something can be improved. Collect questions you don't know the answers to. Know your practice from the inside out.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: Guy grew up questioning things and thinking of new innovative solutions to any problem he could think of. He started venturing into start-ups around 2010, then later translated his businesses into telehealth and digital health SteadyMD was the highest version of virtual primary care you could access online in 2017. In 2020, they had an influx of other digital health companies asking to hire Guy's clinicians on their platform. This signaled the existence of a large market, so they geared the business into an on-demand 50-state clinician workforce wherein digital health companies can tap into. For Guy, taking an MBA isn't required before starting a business, but the education helped build the foundations of his business know-how. When hiring programmers, Guy recommends outsourcing from other countries for cost-effectiveness but prefers always to have at least one person from the US. Guy spent six months doing extensive research on telehealth, digital health, and identifying how the healthcare industry could be improved for all. The pandemic in 2020 was the perfect opportunity that accelerated their already growing momentum. In fundraising, resign yourself to having hundreds of meetings and repeating yourself a lot. Do your best and keep grinding. Don't get discouraged and impatient. Treat it as a rite of passage, a battle you have to get through. Be diligent when listening to questions and adjust your pitch based on those, not on what you think is the most convincing argument. There's no excuse for not knowing everything about your industry, company, and competitors. With the convenience of the internet today, there's no excuse for not keeping up with the industry happenings. You can't fail if you don't give up.   TWEETABLE QUOTES: "Always assume that systems aren't optimized in the best way possible; that there's room for innovation." – Guy Friedman "Do your research. If they ask a question and you don't know the answer, make sure you know it the next time someone asks." – Guy Friedman   CONNECT WITH JASON DUPRAT LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram | Youtube Email: support@jasonduprat.com Join our Facebook group: jasonduprat.com/group   ABOUT THE GUEST Guy Friedman is CEO and Co-Founder at SteadyMD, a B2B telehealth technology platform and clinician workforce provider that powers high-quality telehealth patient experiences for leaders and innovators in healthcare. #256: Why It's Important to Practice Due Diligence To Protect Your Business From Potential Risks

Healthcare Entrepreneur Academy Podcast

Being unaware of the law does not excuse you from it. In this episode, Jason A. Duprat, Entrepreneur, Healthcare Practitioner, and Host of the Healthcare Entrepreneur Academy podcast, talks about the importance of due diligence when taking advice. There are those who claim to be "experts" in their field but, ironically, spread misinformation, even illegal advice that could cost professionals their licenses. After listening to a podcast sharing such grave inaccuracies, Jason shares valuable insights on avoiding misinformation and seeking real professional advice.   EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS Jason came across a podcast where the host claims to be a "Healthcare Business Expert." Ironically, pieces of advice given during the show were utterly inaccurate, even downright illegal. The consultant gave poor advice that could potentially cause people their medical licenses. One piece of advice was to work as a 1099 Contractor using your clinic's name, which risks the business entity's assets if things go wrong. It's important to work with competent consultants who've spent hours studying and are not afraid to admit what they don't know. If you don't know the rules of the Nurse Practice Act in your state, you should not be advising anybody. Read the laws word-per-word. Do not blindly follow and apply the advice you receive from anyone. Hire experienced consultants and attorneys. Invest at least five to seven thousand dollars in attorney consulting before starting your business. Thousands of dollars in consultations and legal fees are nothing considering the trouble it will save you from down the line.   3 KEY POINTS Always exercise your due diligence when absorbing information. Know the "Nurse Practice Act" in the state you're practicing in. Get good legal advice. Hire experienced consultants and attorneys.   TWEETABLE QUOTES "Get good legal advice. Among tens of thousands of lines of laws, violating just one line could cost you everything." – Jason Duprat "A good consultant shares what he knows, but a great consultant admits what he doesn't know." – Jason Duprat   RESOURCES Want to become a Ketamine Therapy provider? Episode Highlights: The five elements of an effective message to busy people: 1. Lead with value - mention something specific about them that impacted you. 2. Give information - you have a limited amount of words, give quick, pertinent info and hyperlink to your site. 3. Build a meaningful request - do not ask to “pick their brain.” 4. Offer credibility - give social proof and have someone’s name or a brand name next to yours. 5. “Thanks in advance” - This subconsciously creates a desire to finish the loop. 3 Key Points: Always be specific when reaching out to someone busy, they will know if you just copied and pasted info from their site. Never ask someone if you can “pick their brain” or how you can add value, that just adds homework to their plate. Always say “thanks in advance” to prompt someone to respond. Tweetable Quotes: “DO NOT ask someone if you can pick their brain for a while, or ask them what you can do that could add value to them.” -Travis “Figure out a way to add value to someone and then just do it.” -Travis “Recognizable names, words, and friends of people stand out.” -Travis “Check out the free meet your hero course at my website to get all my value pieces on this topic.” -Travis Resources Mentioned: Visit Travis’ website at https://www.travischappell.com (https://www.travischappell.com) Get your free mastermind course from Travis here: Freemmcourse.com/enroll (http://www.freemmcourse.com/join) Enroll in Travis’ VIP day experience (https://travischappell.typeform.com/to/Lm38Rt) . Author Platform Rocket: Self Publishing, Marketing & Advertising Advice For Authors

How do you know it’s time to quit? Quitting often carries negative connotations in our minds; however, in this episode of Author Platform Rocket, Jonny Andrews challenges the stigma of just letting something go. For authors, it’s easy to become attached to our writing for the sole reason that it’s an extension of us. But, what happens when that one piece of writing just doesn’t sell? Tune-in as Jonny explains how we can objectively tackle our “failures”. He breaks down the steps we need to take to assess just why our writing is not performing—everything from determining who our target audience is to the length of time we allow for our marketing strategies to really take hold. And, if our efforts still come up empty, you’ll see why making that choice to quit is really a move towards your next win. Today’s episode is about how to know when to quit Quitting is stigmatized as failure Comparing your efforts vs the results is terrible way to assess “The internet is loaded with crazy stories of obscure authors” If you’re just getting started, you’re ahead of the game! Things you should ask yourself: Is there a directly reachable audience for my book? Who and where are they? Does my book appeal to this audience, so much that they would buy? Have I done everything possible to engage this audience and build an email list? Am I publishing frequently enough to keep my audience fed? You should be publishing at least 4 books per year How many subscribers do I have? Do they open my emails? And, do they click? All these questions boil down to a single point – do you have enough readers and are you giving them what they want to buy? If you’re starting out, build a reader-base of about 2,000 subscribers Use Author Platform Rocket to help you do this Get group author email swaps If you don’t build a business backed by paid marketing, you’re really not building a business Facebook Ads insights: After 2,000 impressions, does your ad have a unique click-through-rate of at least 3%? Does your ad have a relevant score of at least 6%? Your cost per lead should be below $1 for fiction and below $4 for the health/business market Are you getting 30 subscribers per 100 clicks? You need to quit using Facebook ads if and when these parameters are not being met Quit and restart Failure is a lab result, it’s a learning opportunity If you’re writing fiction, write at least 4 to 6 books in 12-18 months As an author, writing books is a labor of love Take writing and marketing actions on a DAILY basis “Give it a try time” means employing a strategy for at least 12 months You could end up making bad choices when emotions take the reins of your decisions If you’re earning a living from writing, start out small While using tools that track your progress, analyze the trends in your data Don’t make decisions based off the data you receive in one day Jonny has seen the trend of authors killing their efforts way too fast Give whatever you do enough time to ‘cook’ Sometimes, great things just don’t sell Most successful authors have one book that really didn’t sell well “Don’t hold onto the hope that somehow it’s going to work” Quitting can actually be the choice and action you need to take that takes you to your next win End of today’s podcast 3 Key Points: Always set realistic and measurable goals; track your progress and analyze the data from over a set period of time. Set the expectation for yourself that it will take time to earn from your writing. Don’t be afraid to fail. Instead, consider a failure a lab result from which you can learn and make better decisions in the future.
