Regeringen har med sit landdistriktsudspil præsenteret deres vision for fremtidens landdistrikter. Det skal være mere attraktivt at bosætte sig uden for de større byer. Men kan investeringer på 400 millioner kroner vende den negative udvikling, man har set gennem mange år? Og hvordan passer regeringens planer om decentral vækst og udvikling ind i andre vigtige dagsordener som den grønne trepartsaftale og klimatilpasning? Der er store problemer i fusionsforeningen LASJ, usædvanligt meget fedtemøg på alle danske kyster skyldes udvaskning fra landbruget i kombination med store mængder nedbør,  ejere bag Scandinavian Farms invest står til at tabe mindst 350 millioner kroner og mejeripriserne har fået et lille nøk ned.

Kina er lige nu i gang med store militære øvelser ved Taiwan - men hvor langt vil de gå? Men også samhandlen mellem de to lande vil blive påvirket. Kina har nemlig sat en stopper for importen af taiwanesiske citrusfrugter, fisk og sand. Det sker som reaktion på formanden for Repræsentanternes Hus i USA, Nancy Pelosis, omdiskuterede besøg i den taiwanesiske hovedstad Taipei. Men hvordan er stemningen blandt taiwaneserne lige nu? Og hvordan vil de kinesiske sanktioner komme til at ramme Taiwan? Det ser vi nærmere på. De importsanktioner, som Rusland er ramt af, rammer den russiske økonomi meget, meget hårdt, ifølge ny rapport. Og de stigende energipriser er på ingen måde nok til at holde hånden under den russiske økonomi. Siden invasionen begyndte i februar, har forskerne bag registreret flere end 1000 virksomheder, der frivilligt har mindsket eller stoppet deres forretninger i Rusland. Indtægtstabet fra disse virksomheder og deres investeringer i landet anslås til at være mere end 600 milliarder dollars. Nu skal vi til et af de lande, som i den grad kæmper med økonomien, nemlig Storbritannien. Lige nu står den britiske centralbank over for en historisk høj rentestigning på 0,50 procentpoint i et forsøg på at holde inflationen nede. Det vil bringe renten op på 1,75 procent - og det vil være det største enkeltstående rentehop i Storbritannien siden 1995. Det sker på et tidspunkt, hvor økonomiske situation i Storbritannien ser yderst dyster ud: Inflationen er på det højeste niveau i over 40 år, og den ventes at nå 11 procent til efteråret. Belæsset med containere i op til ti dæk er de i stadigt større risiko for at tabe deres last i havet – og blot inden for tre måneder i foråret blev der tabt 3.500 containere fordelt på tre hændelser. Containerne indeholder alt fra gødning til støvsugere og mountainbikes, og dermed er det i høj grad et miljøproblem, som kalder på, at containerstakkene sikres bedre end i dag. Ligesom de containere, der holder sig flydende i måneder, udgør en fare for lystbåde. Havet trænger sig på i stadigt voldsommere stormfloder, og vi har udsigt til stigende temperaturer og dermed vandstand, lyder det i en ny klimavurdering fra IPCC. Det kalder på en opdatering af de danske planer for klimasikring af kysterne, for her er meget overladt til de enkelte kommuner – og der er mange hensyn at afveje lokalt.
