Sometimes when I talk to another comic, it feels like we were twins separated at birth—and that's exactly how it is with today's guest, the hilarious Susan Rice. You may know her from her specials Silver Alert (Amazon) and We All Become Our Parents (Don't Tell Comedy), or her series Bad Advice with Susan Rice. She's been in the comedy game for decades, and let me tell you—her stories had me laughing, nodding, and occasionally spitting out my coffee. In this episode, Susan and I dig into everything from her comedy beginnings in Portland to what it's like finding your voice later in life, producing shows during COVID, and what it really takes to last in this business. We talk about aging, audience connections, and why older comics still have plenty of fire in the belly. This country has been dealing with an increase in political violence for nearly a decade, and leaders from across the spectrum need to do everything they can to get us off this terrible path. Declaring 'free speech for me and not for thee,' or getting random people fired for not saying nice things about Charlie Kirk isn't helping to tamp things down. Meanwhile, it looks like Trump is sacrificing U.S. national security interests with his corrupt TikTok and UAE deals, and Russia remains one of the only countries in the world Trump hasn't tariffed. Tommy & Ben react to Israel's shocking strike on Hamas leadership in Qatar. They cover how this closes the door on ceasefire negotiations, how the attacks humiliate the Arab world and make normalization in the region next to impossible, and the Trump administration's incoherent response. They also discuss the alleged Israeli bombing of a humanitarian aid flotilla in Tunisia, the horrific terrorist attack in Jerusalem, and Spain's roadmap for opposing what's happening in Gaza. Also covered: Keir Starmer's misguided cabinet reshuffle in the UK, French President Emmanuel Macron's chronic inability to hold onto a prime minister, what protest movements in Nepal and Indonesia say about the state of the world, and the ongoing threat of a US war with Venezuela. Then, Ben speaks with Susan Rice, national security advisor and UN ambassador under Obama, about the redirection and weaponization of the military under Trump, how this administration's foreign policy is pushing our allies into our adversaries' arms, and the “brazen violation of international law” that is Israel's attack on Qatar. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, President Donald Trump calls into the show and discusses transforming the U.S. from a dead country under President Biden to the hottest nation globally, as affirmed by world leaders. Trump describes handling the Russia-Ukraine conflict through instinct rather than rigid processes, emphasizing his success in securing hostage releases without concessions. He praises PM Benjamin Netanyahu as a war hero amid legal challenges and recounts authorizing a precise military strike on Iran's nuclear facility, which pilots had prepared for over 22 years, preventing imminent nuclear weapon development. Furthermore, our media is deeply flawed, and Susan Rice is no exception as she criticizes Trump for not securing a cease-fire agreement. However, Trump is addressing a much larger issue that extends beyond just a cease-fire. European leaders, along with Zelensky and Putin, will not agree to a deal unless it meets their standards. It's noteworthy that Trump was able to facilitate discussions between Zelensky and Putin, a feat that Biden and many previous presidents would never have achieved. Also, Rep. Gregory Meeks and Rev. Al Sharpton have attacked Trump with "taking over" cities using the National Guard, effectively seizing control of significant African American neighborhoods and exploiting them. They even labeled Trump as "Jim Crow 2.0," a truly reprehensible accusation. However, many in Washington DC, including members of the African American community, are recognizing the need for safety and are thankful that the National Guard was present. With crime rampant in Washington DC and numerous other cities, this is a crucial part of Trump's strategy to restore safety and make these cities safe again. Learn more about your ad choices. In the last few days, President Trump has met separately with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, in an attempt to break the deadlock and end the war. Today's meeting at the White House between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy seemed to go much better than last time, when Zelenskyy left early after a heated argument in the Oval Office. In fact, Zelenskyy hailed today's meeting as “the best one” yet. Even so, the next steps to ending the war are unclear. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy still haven't met face-to-face to negotiate, and it's not certain whether they will be able to find common ground. NPR White House correspondent Danielle Kurtzleben gives an update on the day's events, and former national security adviser Susan Rice gives her perspective on the likelihood of a deal. For sponsor-free episodes of Consider This, sign up for Consider This+ via Apple Podcasts or at plus.npr.org.Email us at considerthis@npr.org.This episode was produced by Megan Lim and Mia Venkat. It was edited by Christopher Intagliata, Andrew Sussman, Tara Neill and Nadia Lancy. Our executive producer is Sami Yenigun.Learn more about sponsor message choices: podcastchoices.com/adchoicesNPR Privacy Policy

He shares the Miller Ink Communications Framework, which anchors every campaign with a clear objective, a targeted audience, and a compelling message. Nathan breaks down how to craft memorable messaging using the 3 Cs (Clear, Concise, Compelling) and the 3 S's (Stories, Statistics, Soundbites). He also reveals how to build a reputation-driven business, navigate hiring decisions, and future-proof your communications in a rapidly changing media landscape. --- Communicate in Soundbites with Nathan Miller Good day, dear listeners. It's Steve Preda here with the Management Blueprint and my guest today is Nathan Miller, founder and CEO of Miller Ink. and he's also a seasoned communication strategist with deep experience in business, government, diplomacy, crisis management and issue advocacy. Nathan, welcome to the show. Thanks for having me, Steve. It's great to be here. Well, it's good to have you. And I've got some questions I'm really curious about that I want to ask you. And starting with my favorite one, what is your personal “Why” and what are you doing to manifest it in your business? My personal “Why” really is a couple of things. One, our business makes a huge impact for a lot of people and to feel that impact every day is tremendous and it gives me a lot of satisfaction and pride. The people who work for Miller Ink., the people who work here and launched their careers through this company, our clients, every day you get to be in rooms with people who are solving problems, addressing challenges, navigating different challenges, and helping them get to a better place is incredibly gratifying. You want to be somebody who's of service in that way. We do a lot of advocacy and mission-driven work as well as an agency. I've done a lot of work on behalf of the Jewish community and the State of Israel, which has also been very meaningful. And for me, the most important personal “Why” is I have three kids and so much of what I do is really for them. And that is really one of my big North Stars in life. Yeah, well, lots of meaningful stuff in your life. And you left the UN Security Council, where you were a writer, to become a PR entrepreneur. So tell me about this journey. The journey was crazy. My career began, I got a master's in public policy here at UCLA. I went to Europe for a little bit. I worked in Brussels with the EU institutions there at a think tank. And then I came back and I worked at a PR firm in LA for a couple of years early in my career. I got a job as the chief speechwriter for Israel's mission to the UN. And it was a crazy time to be doing that job. I was really young, and it was the outbreak of the Arab Spring. A lot of different things that were happening in the Middle East and in the world. So, fascinating moment. And I did that job for three years. And at that point, my now wife and I were dating, and she was in LA and I was in New York, and we had to figure out a place to be. So I said, you know what, I'm gonna come back. And I think I have a problem with authority is what I learned working in big institutions in different ways. And I like to be able to set the pace of what I do. And so I say, every entrepreneur has a different cross that they're trying to not bear. And for me, it was really having control of my own destiny, and that mattered a lot to me. So I was a young guy. I saw communications changing rapidly, really rapidly. When I started at the UN, then the ambassador, Susan Rice, they asked her if she was on Twitter and she said, I don't do diplomacy by haiku. And that was like a funny thing.

Broadcasting from Tallahassee amid technical chaos and BB-gun vandalism, JB dives into the escalating war inside the Department of Defense, where Trump's America First appointments are triggering panic and leaks among Obama-era holdovers. Anchoring his analysis in a powerful clip from Dan Caldwell's Tucker Carlson interview, JB walks through the impressive team Trump is assembling at the Pentagon, from Pete Hegseth's embattled leadership to rising figures like Elbridge Colby, Dan Raisin Kane, and Troy Mink. He unpacks the deep-state backlash, suggesting a black-ops-style leak campaign is targeting these individuals through the Defense Policy Board, where names like Susan Rice still linger suspiciously. JB speculates on a behind-the-scenes op possibly involving Elon Musk and even hints at double-agent intrigue surrounding Rice. They unpack the recent firings of three top Pentagon officials, reportedly linked to the now-infamous Signal chat leaks and potentially tied to covert operations involving China and surveillance developments in Panama. Gabrielle provides insider details on the memo issued by Hegseth's team authorizing interagency investigations and polygraphs for leakers, an aggressive move suggesting criminal prosecutions are on the table. They also explore how Hegseth's position may be more secure than Beltway whisperers suggest, given recent high-level hires and strategic moves. In a major revelation, Gabrielle confirms that Obama-era deep state figure Susan Rice remains listed on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board, raising serious questions about oversight, renewal protocols, and whether the administration is fully aware of the swamp it inherited. She reveals her team discovered the issue and likely tipped off Dan Caldwell, who later exposed it on Tucker Carlson. He kicks things off with a critical update on Trump's economic strategy, finalized trade deal negotiations with India, escalating tariff pressure on Japan, and China threatening retaliatory sanctions against U.S. allies. Jon breaks down how this global rebalancing is shaking markets, enraging the IMF, and reinforcing America First policy at every turn. On the domestic front, Jon spotlights the quietly leaked Trump executive order restructuring the State Department, slashing embassies, and firing hundreds of deep state bureaucrats, while somehow Susan Rice still lingers on a DoD advisory board. He doesn't hold back his frustration with the slow pace of administrative cleanup. The episode also takes a hard look at the Minnesota Tesla vandalism case, the Supreme Court's inaction on school opt-out rights, and new data showing just 30% of Illinois fourth graders can read at grade level. In education, immigration, and lawfare, Jon ties every story back to the heart of the matter: the system is broken, and Americans are waking up. From Larry David's Hitler satire to the left's newest narrative push, “dark woke”, Jon exposes the absurdity, hypocrisy, and desperation of the establishment's culture war rebrand. Fast-paced, fiery, and funny, this episode is a full-spectrum takedown of the old world order.

Meanwhile, Trump's administration seems hellbent on destroying the U.S.-led world order, Marco Rubio is acting very un-American, and we actually do have long-standing protocols for how a president's national security team should discuss a military strike. [SEGMENT 2-1] Winning back the country 1 - Google's ad policy - Advertorial I will be posting a new segment for members of the Subscribers. Thanks for the wonderful feedback on the other show. I promise this one will be just as riveting. And I will not post it outside for others. That's my reward to you for helping me with the cost of freedom. It's not cheap, and my wife reminds me of our sacrifice, daily. Visit TKJN.com to see all that we do, all that you help us to do when you support my work. POB 542, Higley AZ 85236 for those who want to help out or just send a card or letter   How do you defeat the giant that determines your voice. Google is that giant. I got an email from Google, and it's alarming. It is a company who curtails our freedom of speech. Consider that what Google does blatantly violates that right.   We do not allow content that: makes claims that are demonstrably false and could significantly undermine participation or trust in an electoral or democratic process. Examples: information about public voting procedures, political candidate eligibility based on age or birthplace, election results, or census participation that contradicts official government records promotes harmful health claims, or relates to a current, major health crisis and contradicts authoritative scientific consensus. Examples: Anti-vaccine advocacy, denial of the existence of medical conditions such as AIDS or Covid-19, gay conversion therapy contradicts authoritative scientific consensus on climate change.   There is nothing about these subjects that should have allowed this nonsense to occur.  [SEGMENT 2-2] Winning back the country 2 - Trump's victories   [X] SB – Trump incited an erection   An acquaintance of mine reminded me of Trump's victories. But not in the classic sense. We know that President Trump won against the nonsense of him colluding with the Russians. He then defeated the Democrats in two impeachments. Then the Deep State swamp rats got him in 2020, or so they thoughts.   Title Suggestions"The Trump Takedown Tour: Dynasties, Deep State, and Ironies Unfolded""From Bush to Biden: How Trump Toppled America's Political Royalty""One Man vs. Washington: The Trump Chronicles""Trump's Wins Against the Dynasties and the Deep State Drama""The Fall of the Political Titans: Trump's Quiet Revolution"[SEGMENT 2-3] Winning back the country 3An acquaintance of mine reminded me of Trump's victories. But not in the classic sense. We know that President Trump won against the nonsense of him colluding with the Russians. He then defeated the Democrats in two impeachments. Then the Deep State swamp rats got him in 2020, or so they thoughts. The Unprecedented Fall of Dynasties Donald Trump didn't just enter politics; he detonated a political neutron bomb, reducing dynasties and institutions to rubble. To understand the magnitude of his victories, we must dissect the legacies of those he upended—and explore how these interconnected families and power structures came to dominate Washington, D.C., only to be obliterated by the one-man wrecking crew I affectionately call, The Donald. In these wars, Trump toppled political titans in a not so quiet revolution. The Bush Dynasty: From Bluebloods to Afterthoughts Let's begin with the Bush family. They epitomized Washington royalty, and their political journey began with Prescott Bush, a U.S. Senator from Connecticut and financier with deep Wall Street ties. George H.W. Bush expanded the family's clout as CIA Director, Vice President, and eventually President. Son of H.W. and older brother George "W" Bush would follow in the footsteps of his father, proving that the Bush political apparatus was a well-oiled machine—intertwined with defense contractors, oil conglomerates, and the military-industrial complex. Younger brother to W, Jeb Bush was elected as the governor of Florida. The role was considered a stepping stone to Jeb's inevitable role as president. In the 2016 race to the White House, Jeb Bush was a foregone as the Republican candidate, and ultimately the office in which both his father and brother had served--a feat no family in American history has ever accomplished. Instead, "Low Energy" Jeb was humiliated by Trump during the 2016 GOP primary. Trump's taunts reduced Jeb's campaign to a punchline (“Please clap”) eventually. Further, Trump exposed how disconnected the Bushes had become from the Republican base. The family's once formidable influence crumbled as Trump made the GOP his party, leaving the Bushes grasping for relevance. [SEGMENT 2-4] Winning back the country 4   The Clintons: From “Arkansas Hillbillies” to Fallen Aristocracy The Clintons' ascent from Little Rock to political royalty is legendary. Bill Clinton's charisma and Hillary Clinton's ambition transformed them into one of the most influential political families in modern history. Their control over the Democratic Party was unshakable—until Trump emerged. Hillary's 2016 loss to Trump wasn't just a political defeat; it was a repudiation of Clintonism. The Clinton Foundation, once a money-magnet for global elites, faced scrutiny and decline as Trump's presidency shined a light on the pay-to-play culture that defined their empire. Bill and Hillary, who once believed the White House was their birthright, now find themselves sidelined. The Obama Machine: Legacy Players with Little to Show Barack Obama's presidency was marked by soaring rhetoric, cultural symbolism, and the establishment of a political apparatus designed to endure. Figures like Susan Rice, John Brennan, and others from his administration transitioned seamlessly into roles that allowed them to target Trump. However, Trump systematically dismantled their achievements, from pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal to appointing judges who undermined the progressive agenda. More significantly, Trump exposed the hollowness of Obama's supposed “scandal-free” administration, revealing how figures like James Comey and John Kerry weaponized institutions against him. And while Obama's legacy appointees did manage to dethrone Trump, their victory turned out to be short-lived. The Bidens: The Crooked Crown Joe Biden represented the Democrats' last, desperate attempt to consolidate power. Trump's relentless focus on Hunter Biden's laptop, Ukrainian corruption, and the family's LLC schemes painted a damning portrait of systemic graft. Despite media efforts to shield the Bidens, Trump exposed their operations in ways that even Democrats now begrudgingly acknowledge. Joe Biden's presidency, a fraught combination of incompetence and malfeasance, underscores Trump's victory. The “most votes in history” president is now a symbol of failure, corruption, and political overreach. Hypocrisy, Irony, and the Deep State The interdependence of these families—Clintons, Bushes, Obamas, Bidens—and their shared animosity toward Trump speaks volumes. They were Washington's version of medieval feudal lords, trading favors and power while America's middle class bore the cost. Trump shattered this illusion. His presidency was a mirror exposing their hypocrisies:The Bushes, who profited from endless wars, denounced Trump's America First policies while pretending to care about national unity. The Clintons, champions of gutter politics, raked in millions from foreign despots while lecturing the public on ethics. The Obamas, race-pimp who decried wealth inequality, became multi-millionaires from book deals, Netflix, and corporate speaking gigs. The Bidens, cloaked in “Scranton Joe” populism, exemplified nepotism and greed. The Final Boss: The Deep State The Deep State is the last domino that needs to fall. Trump has battled shadowy bureaucracies and intelligence networks since his first campaign, courtesy of all the aforementioned players. These are the forces that orchestrated the Russia collusion hoax, the impeachments, and the raid on Mar-a-Lago with a "kill order". Trump's resilience in the face of such unprecedented opposition—multiple indictments, attacks on his family, and even attempts on his life—underscores his singularity. Washington, D.C., isn't just afraid of Trump; it's terrified of what his return represents: the dismantling of their carefully constructed web of influence. Trump's Legacy: A Movement, Not a Moment Trump's most significant victory isn't his return to power; it's the movement he's created. By exposing the rot in D.C., he's shifted the Overton Window and redefined what's possible. The dynasties may regroup, but their mystique is gone. As Trump once famously said, “They're not after me; they're after you. I'm just standing in the way.” With each victory, he proves that statement truer than ever. Trump didn't just defeat the families of Washington. He defeated the idea that they were untouchable. He showed them that if cut, they too bleed. That, above all, may be his greatest triumph.   An acquaintance of mine reminded me of Trump's victories. But not in the classic sense. We know that President Trump won against the nonsense of him colluding with the Russians. He then defeated the Democrats in two impeachments. Then the Deep State swamp rats got him in 2020, or so they thoughts. But let's take a step back and look at what else he defeated, that most people haven't considered. Trump defeated the Bush dynasty, the Clinton dynasty, and the Obama machine He took out the Biden Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-kevin-jackson-show--2896352/support.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (08/13/2024): 3:05pm- In his latest article and video editorial, CNN chief national correspondent John King speaks with several undecided voters from Pennsylvania about the 2024 presidential election. Although, they said they were unwilling to cast their ballots for Donald Trump, most expressed skepticism of Kamala Harris's far-left policies—suggesting they'll likely vote third party. 3:10pm- On NBC News, a Pennsylvania voter condemned the economic policies pursued by the Biden-Harris Administration—blaming those policies for raising the cost of food, making it difficult to feed her children. 3:30pm- Rich and Matt will be broadcasting live from the Democratic National Committee Convention in Chicago, Illinois. Matt says he's excited to try deep dish pizza—Rich is less enthused. Is it even real pizza? Plus, according to reports from The New York Times and The Washington Post, Chicago is expecting tens-of-thousands of anti-Israel protesters to show up to the convention. 3:50pm- While speaking with the press briefly outside of the White House, President Joe Biden said that Vice President Kamala Harris was an integral part of crafting his administration's economic policies. Similarly, former Biden Administration official Susan Rice told MSNBC that Harris has been a key architect in the administration's policy development. As Rich notes, given the country's dissatisfaction with the current economy, those statements are not doing Harris any favors. 4:05pm- While the mainstream media gushes over vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz, numerous small business owners are taking to social media to speak out against Walz's leadership as the Minnesota governor during the Black Lives Matter demonstrations (which caused billions of dollars in property damage) and COVID-19 shutdowns (which led to businesses being permanently shuttered following long-term government lockdowns). In one instance, Lisa Hanson—a small business owner—was thrown in prison for 90-days for violating Walz's draconian COVID-19 lockdown orders. 4:20pm- Hackers Find Voting Machine Vulnerabilities, But There is No Time to Fix Them: Politico Cybersecurity reporter Maggie Miller writes: “Some of the best hackers in the world gathered in Las Vegas over the weekend to try to break into voting machines that will be used in this year's election—all with an eye to helping officials identify and fix vulnerabilities. Dr. Carson agrees with the assessment: “the great spirit above” protected the former president. Plus, should we be concerned about President Joe Biden's cognitive and physical decline? Dr. Carson hilariously notes that if you saw someone like Biden get into the cockpit of a plane, you wouldn't want to be a passenger on that flight! Dr. Carson is author of the new book: “The Perilous Fight: Overcoming Our Culture's War on the American Family”—which he co-authored with his wife, Candy Carson. Evidently, everyone knows CNN's political coverage isn't objective! 5:05pm- On Monday night, Elon Musk conducted an interview with former President Donald Trump on the social media platform X. According to initial estimates, the interview coupled with subsequent discussions pertaining to the interview generated 1 billion views. During the conversation, Trump said he would like to move education back to the states—as education nationally has struggled despite America spending more per student than any other country in the world. Prior to the conversation, officials from the European Union outrageously warned Musk about conducting the interview—suggesting it could violate EU laws that police “harmful content.” 5:25pm- During his interview with Donald Trump on X, Elon Musk briefly mentioned visiting Hiroshima and Nagasaki—emphasizing that the cities, which were hit by nuclear weapons in World War II, are now capable of creating food that is safe to eat. Dana Bash and CNN pulled the clip out of context, inaccurately making it seem as though Musk was downplaying the impact of nuclear war. 5:45pm- While the mainstream media gushes over vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz, numerous small business owners are taking to social media to speak out against Walz's leadership as the Minnesota governor during the Black Lives Matter demonstrations (which caused billions of dollars in property damage) and COVID-19 shutdowns (which led to businesses being permanently shuttered following long-term government lockdowns). In one instance, Lisa Hanson—a small business owner—was thrown in prison for 90-days for violating Walz's draconian COVID-19 lockdown orders. 6:05pm- Dr. EJ Antoni—Research Fellow in The Heritage Foundation's Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss President Joe Biden stating that Kamala Harris has been actively involved in the development of the administration's economic policies, the $1.9 trillion annual federal deficit (which no one seems to be concerned about), Donald Trump's interview with Elon Musk, and the horrors of Chicago deep dish pizza. 6:30pm- Social Security Waste/Fraud Exceed $1 Billion: Jeremy Tanner of The Hill writes: “The Social Security Administration (SSA) is wrestling with a “record-breaking backlog” of cases that has led to roughly $1.1 billion in improper payments, according to a new report by the SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG).” You can read the full article here: https://thehill.com/homenews/4824820-improper-social-security-payments-surpass-1b-amid-record-breaking-backlog-report/ 6:40pm- While appearing on CNN, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy insisted that Kamala Harris believes in capitalism—despite Harris routinely endorsing government initiated “equity” and equality of outcome while rejecting equality of opportunity and meritocracy.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- In his latest article and video editorial, CNN chief national correspondent John King speaks with several undecided voters from Pennsylvania about the 2024 presidential election.

"Susan Rice examines U.S. foreign policy strategy with The Post's David Ignatius," read the title of a 2016 Washington Post Live conversation. "Key player in war on climate change? The Pentagon," CNN insisted in 2020. "Democrats Need To Learn How To Get Excited About the Center-Left," The Messenger proclaimed in 2023.  These posts were all facilitated, sponsored, or authored by a member of a Democratic-aligned, corporate U.S. think tank. Whether the Center for American Progress, Center for a New American Security, Center for Strategic and International Studies, or any other Washington, DC-based "Center" with a capital C, center-right to center-left think tanks are ubiquitous in major American media and in Democratic policymaking. This might seem unremarkable, even beneficial. Think tanks, after all, purport to be empirical institutions, designed to craft research-based policy proposals. But, given the prevalence of corporate funding in the DC think-tank world, these claims of neutrality contradict the anti-labor and anti-regulation records of major US think tanks, as well as their function as de facto corporate lobbying groups. On this episode, Part II of our two-part series on the relationship between political party officials, media, and the corporate laundering machine, we examine the revolving door between Democratic administrations and corporate and despot-funded think tanks, looking at how those institutions effectively serve as a stomping grounds of business industry influence on everything from climate to labor, healthcare to infrastructure. Our guest is The Intercept's Akela Lacy.
