A dziś? Mamy matcha i co dalej? O zetkowym Love w ujęciu społecznym i marketingowym rozmawiamy dzisiaj z Anną Marią Szutowicz z agencji badawczej Y&LOVERS. O efektywności Connected TV, w rozmowie z Kubą i Martą, opowiada Marcin Wiatr, Senior Marketing Manager w FlixBus.Marcin Wiatr to marketingowy empiryk i pragmatyk – we Flixbus testuje na różnych rynkach szeroki zakres rozwiązań wideo, a m.in. sprzedażą biletów mierzy ich krótko i długoterminową skuteczność. The most unbelievable stories are the true ones. Frances' story is still being written. Previously a clinical psychologist and ardent atheist from the USA, Frances is now initiated into a lineage of shamans in Mongolia. Part of her year she lives and sits with people in Mongolia. This transformation began when Frances spontaneously starting having awarenesses beyond what she thought could be true. These experiences included perceiving the subtle energies in living beings around her, and receiving messages in her private practice from the passed loved ones of her clients. Despite significant bewilderment, not for a moment did Frances doubt the validity of her newly opening sacred senses. However, these new awareness challenged her most fundamental beliefs. Frances saw two possible paths ahead. She could either stay in the life she knew and try to suppress her new awarenesses, or she could leave everything she had known and set out on a great adventure into the unknown. In a decision some call foolish and others call fearless, she left everything behind and jumped into the unknown. First living in Nepal, Frances has now moved over 250 times across many countries and continents including Nepal, India, Sápmi (Indigenous lands of northern Europe) on the Norway side of the border, Greenland, Bhutan, Iceland, Denmark, Mexico, South Korea, Scotland, Ireland, and Taiwan. Of all the places she has been, the most transformative for Frances has been living in Mongolia with shamans, Spirits, and the land. Only in Mongolia, after many years of feeling lost and confused, did she finally feel found when she was told she was a shaman. Being initiated did not end her journey. It began the next chapter. As a shaman Frances now uses her time to help others. She sits with people in Mongolia and online. Frances especially enjoys being with new sacred healers as they find themselves on their own journeys. She has seen time and again that the very feeling of being lost is often a great sign you are finding your way. Frances offers a community for learning and growing together on her Patreon “Dropout Psychologist's Sacred Bear Den”. This space is for anyone on their own sacred path – all kinds of wonderful souls (healers and not healers) gather here together for teachings, sound meditations, live monthly chats, and more. On her podcast “Not All Spirits are Jerks” Frances shares her wild stories with humor and heart. In her casual story telling style, she looks back on her own transformation. She shares what she has learned about the true nature of reality now that she works for the Spirits. She also talks about her new perspective on the colonized spaces that raised her. These spaces had intentionally blocked her from knowing truths that other cultures have always known. In this podcast Frances explains why becoming a shaman wasn't the hard part. To unlearn all she had been told, so she could remember the sacred within herself and all life, was the very heart of her journey. Find Frances here:Become a Patreon Member today! Seeking some extra cash to pay for her new off-campus apartment, college sophomore Samantha answers an ad for a babysitting job. Her friend Megan suspects something weird is going on and insists on joining Samantha for the evening. On the night of a total lunar eclipse, the two drive to a grand Victorian on the outskirts of town and meet the Ulmans, an older couple going out for the evening – but there's a catch. There's no child. Instead, Mrs. Ulman's mother is upstairs, and Samantha is asked to hang out in the house, in case anything should happen to Mother. Initially reluctant to take the job, Samantha is able to wring 400 bucks out of the couple, and settles in for an evening alone in a dark, dark house, on a dark, dark night. Tzipor Ulman, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Science is Elementary. Under Tzipor's leadership, Science is Elementary (SiE) grew from an idea to a multi-faceted organization with international reaching more than 50,000 children, their teachers, and their families this year. She joins Mike Palmer in a conversation about building strong foundations in science into our educational system, particularly for populations that have been underserved and underrepresented. After hearing her origin story, we learn what she's been up to lately. During the COVID19 pandemic, Tzipor ideated SiE Books – a unique series that fills a massive gap in children's education: wordless stories, featuring children of color who behave as scientists, coupled with step-by-step illustrations for doing science experiments that are easy enough for five-year-olds to do on their own, and with a family engagement component. In a wide-ranging conversation about the foundational importance of science education, we touch on the importance of playfulness, curiosity, representation, and grit. We also explore Tzipor's thoughts on the future of work and the importance of scientific principles in developing good citizens and countering polarization. It's a thought-provoking dive into science education that you don't want to miss! Subscribe to Trending in Education wherever you get your podcasts. A Las Vegas Cheeba Hut is where this story thankfully starts, had to get a base-layer down before rolling with the Chamber of Cannabis Queens Tina Ulman and Dani Baranowski for a day of Canna-Business in Sin City! These 2 women co-created the “Dopest Chamber America has ever seen” by bringing together folks working in all facets of cannabis to drive policy, network, and collaborate to create a stronger cannabis industry. The Epoch Times reports North Dakota has decided to allow Bill Gates's $13.5 million farmland purchase near that state's border with Canada and Minnesota, over and against objections from many locals, so long as the land will still be leased out to those who want to put it to productive use. In other news, Merriam-Webster.com has a piece of work up titled ‘Pride': The Word That Went From Vice to Strength in which they assume our ancestors were all mistaken, especially about how it goeth before a certain other unpleasant thing, but we are quite correct today in celebrating pride, especially where our other sins are concerned. This reminds me of a story I once heard about a man driving down the interstate. Oncoming traffic honking and swerving out of his way, flashing headlights at him, his wife calls him on his cell phone after recognizing their vehicle in the live helicopter footage broadcasted on TV. He tells her it's not just one man going the wrong way, it's everyone! Meanwhile, The Daily Wire ran an article yesterday titled ‘Hillsdale College President Under Fire After Ripping State Of Public Education.' In a shocking turn, educrats and their adherents are offended by accurate criticism of their efforts and ambitions. On a related note, I ran across a funny snapshotted headline last night by a certain H. Ulman with the Associated Press: ‘Amphibious pitcher makes debut.' The word they were looking for was “ambidextrous.” But maybe Merriam-Webster will redefine “Amphibious” to spare the AP and our public education system some embarrassment. All this leads to a larger point I'd like to make in this episode about how the Bible is both a very manly book about God and a very godly book about man. Despite what you may have learned from Veggie Tales, there is in fact both sex and violence aplenty in God's Word. And from Genesis to Revelation, there is not one instance of a talking tomato or asparagus. But there are stories of murder and war, plus a whole book dedicated to the intimate relationship of a man and his bride. Really, now. How are Christian adults supposed to think, feel, or talk about sex and violence in broader society when we so often skip over what the Bible actually says about sex and violence? It's like expecting us to know how to talk about pride while only letting Merriam-Webster define the subject instead of reading Proverbs to frame our understanding. "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." But if some godless critic points out at this juncture that there is a certain vanity inherent to censoring the Scriptures we share with our kids, they are right. And naivete is not the same thing as innocence. And ignorance is not bliss when we consider that to ignore a thing is not at all the same thing as that thing ceasing to exist. To be sure, we can ignore a great deal that is consequential if we choose to. But this is where another word bears defining - 'Ignorant.' And a related word goes along with that one - 'Foolish.' Folly is not presented in the Scriptures as a thing to be merely ignored, overlooked, or wish-casted into a profitable outcome. And it is certainly not a thing to emulate anymore than it is a thing to affirm even with silent acquiescence. Rather, folly when encountered - in ourselves, our households, or our nation - ought to be corrected and contradicted with wisdom, just as wickedness ought to be called to repentance and a turning toward righteousness instead. We have to read the portions of Scripture - even, yes, to our children - which pertain to sex and violence if our children are going to be trained up to not depart from Biblical attitudes and orientations in relation to the same. If we do that, we will know what to make of Gates, dictionaries, public schools, amphibious pitchers, and pride, among other things. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/garrett-ashley-mullet/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/garrett-ashley-mullet/support

Registration has begun for the 14th Pelotonia, the amazing, fundraising cycling event that has raised $236 million for cancer research at The James. In this episode we talk with Pelotonia CEO Doug Ulman and President Joe Apgar. They describe the new routes, provide some fundraising tips, and give an overview of the new Victoria's Secret and Pelotonia collaboration to award $8.5 million over the next two years to female cancer scientists around the world working on the most-promising research to beat women's cancers, such as breast cancer and uterine cancer. Ulman also fills us in on his recent trip to the White House, where President Biden announced a renewed commitment to the Cancer Moonshot Project that was first announced during the final year of the Obama Administration. “The White House has a really aspirational goal, to reduce the number of cancer deaths by 50 percent in the next 25 years,” Ulman said. “That will save hundreds of thousands of lives and put us on the trajectory to ending this disease.” Some of the statewide initiatives for prevention, screening and genetic testing, funded by Pelotonia and implemented by The James, could serve as national models in the years to come, he added.
Dialogues | A podcast from David Zwirner about art, artists, and the creative process
A conversation with two exciting artists taking their multimedia practices onto the movie screen. Ulman, whose work combines video, performance, and the Internet in fluid ways, recently released her critically-acclaimed first feature film, El Planeta. A hit at the Sundance Film Festival, it features Ulman and her mother as a pair of mother-and-daughter grifters in Gijon, Spain, their hometown. And Lee, who works across all manner of media, also made a standout film that draws from her own life: Mommy is a resonant profile of her mother following her devastating death that, like El Planeta, fuses the visual language of video and Net Art with that of Hollywood.
Welcome to The Last Thing I Saw, with your host, Nicolas Rapold. One of my favorite debuts in a while is El Planeta, directed by and starring Amalia Ulman. She plays a designer who lives with her mother (played by Ulman's mother) but they're both going broke. So they're making ends meet any way they can, which for her mother might include a little light scamming. It's a movie with many layers, both funny and poignant, about keeping up appearances and about the complicated bond between mother and daughter. In many ways it builds on Ulman's extensive art practice, which plays with class, identity, fashion, and how we have to present and re-present ourselves to the world. Ulman was raised in Gijón, Spain, where the movie is set, and she's based in New York. I already had the pleasure of interviewing Ulman at length for Screen Slate, and so this time I was able to spend more time than usual talking about the wonderful movies she's been watching. But first our Zoom conversation was interrupted by a surprise guest... “We're really excited about 2021,” said Doug Ulman, President and CEO of Pelotonia, the annual bike ride that has raised $219 million for research at the James. There was no ride in 2020, due to COVID-19, but Pelotonia is back, on the road again in August, with routes and safety precautions in place. Ulman talks about the new routes, the Granville and Bexley “experiences,” the changes due to COVID-19, and the tremendous impact of Pelotonia-funded research. “The team has done a remarkable amount of work to think through how things might have to change in order to host a ride,” Ulman said of the 2021 ride. There will be nine, all-new routes. For the first time, some routes will include a ride through Bexley, and multiple routes will travel through Granville, where hundreds of people line the streets to cheer on riders, wave signs and rung cow bells. There are more one-day and two-day options, as well as some shorter routes. “The personal connections and the joy of the weekend,” are the glue that keeps Pelotonia rolling, Ulman said.
Pelotonia's Doug Ulman tells us all about the new, creative and exciting My Pelotonia platform, which will replace the traditional mass ride this year (due to Covid-19). "This allows people to create their own journeys and challenges," Ulman says, adding My Pelotonia is a way to get even more people involved in Pelotonia and that it will continue even when it's safe to ride together again. Ulman said his My Pelotonia challenge is to ride from Columbus to Cincinnati. What's your My Pelotonia adventure?
