Send us a Text Message. We are excited to host Marine Corps veteran, Eric Infanti. By all accounts, Eric had a smooth transition into the corporate world, where he worked for 5 years. When his health began declining, Eric began a healing journey that included 2000 hours of yoga teacher and meditation training. He earned a dual master's degree in Buddhist psychology and Ayurvedic medicine and is now a PhD candidate with the study on the role of extreme peak flow states on resilience and professional outcomes. When Eric first transitioned from the military, he was able to use his experience and the education he received while serving in the Marine Corps to land a role in IT. After taking time off to heal, Eric knew he needed to upskill and learn current IT best practices. He sought out low cost or free programs to gain new certifications. He utilized the Veteran Rapid Retraining Assistance Program (VRRAP), ACT Now Education and Boots to Books.Eric went from running marathons to not being able to move in a short amount of time. After visiting close to a dozen doctors without getting a diagnosis, he went to a naturopathic physician who diagnosed him with late-stage Lyme disease. Eric dove into the world of alternative health and found that yoga relieved his symptoms. From yoga, he dove deeper into Ayurvedic medicine, ancient texts and meditation. It was on the plane coming back from a 2008 trip to India where he started writing his first book, Marine on the Mat. Eric continued a career in alternative health until the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic had a negative impact on his healing business, and Eric knew he needed to shift back into IT. He relied on his network and found mentors that helped him find a role within the IT community that fit his personality. Today he is the UX/UI Design Manager for Combined Arms, a nonprofit dedicated to veterans' well-being. Eric uses both his healing background and IT knowledge in his design work. He manages his stress through spiritual practices and finds his creativity from the still space of his meditations. He has written 12 books on subjects relating to alternative health and UX design. One of the core values to every veteran is their resiliency – the ability to handle whatever comes their way. Eric encourages veterans to not give up. You can choose how you manage the stresses of life. Some choose alcohol, rage or video games to cope with their stress. Eric chose athleticism and taking care of his inner self through breathing and meditation. For people who haven't been practicing self-care and find themselves in an acute situation, Eric advises them to stop and take a break, start a healing practice and seek medical and psychological help if needed. Breath work meditation is simple, effective and can be done anywhere. Subscribe to our YouTube channel at https://tinyurl.com/llforvets22Connect with Eric at https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericinfanti/Explore Eric's books at  https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B001KHHN4S Download the AAFMAA transition timeline at AAFMA, the American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association is the longest-standing nonprofit association offering life insurance, wealth management, mortgages, survivor assistance and more. In this episode of Your Infinite Health, LeNae and Dr. Trip, discuss the breakthrough treatments for severe back pain and how regenerative therapies are changing the game. The traditional methods of reactive medicine focus on relieving symptoms rather than promoting healing, which can actually inhibit the healing response, doing more harm than good. LeNae and Dr. Trip advocates using alternative methods such as prolotherapy and injections of biologicals and nanoparticles, which have shown significant pain relief in as little as two weeks.LeNae and Dr. Trip also discusses the use of injections that contain particles found in stem cells, which activate our own stem cells to repair injuries and inflammation. The injection includes anti-inflammatory components that act like steroids but, in a biological manner, allow the body to stimulate the shutdown of the inflammatory response. Unlike steroids, these injections allow for a biological transition from inflammation to repair, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications do virtually the same thing but not as aggressively.Dr. Trip Goolsby and LeNae Goolsby also touch on the importance of finding out the source of back pain and the newly approved FDA technique available for diagnosing ligament trauma using radiological imaging and AI-based algorithms.Dr. Trip Goolsby & LeNae Goolsby are the co-founders of the Infinite Health Integrative Medicine Center, and are also the co-authors of the book “Think and Live Longer”.TakeawaysSteroid injections can have long-term negative effects.Alternatives like prolotherapy offer quick pain relief. It's crucial to find out the source of your back pain.ConnectDr. Trip Goolsby & LeNae Goolsby are the co-founders of the Infinite Health Integrative Medicine Center, and are also the co-authors of the book “Think and Live Longer”.

In this podcast series on CAR T-cell Therapy, MIDI's CEO and Co-Founder, Chris Montalbano, discusses his insight into this exciting and rapidly evolving field in cancer treatment.  The first FDA-approved CAR T-cell biopharmaceutical drug was introduced in 2017. Currently there are approximately 10 approved drugs, and the number in  development and FDA approval pipeline is growing exponentially.  This therapy is unique because it specifically targets cancer cells while sparing healthy cells, in contrast to other treatment methods that can kill both. The precision of this approach has generated much excitement within the medical community, as it has the potential to revolutionize cancer treatment. In this PodCast series, we will be discussing methods which can help mitigate the hurdles of time and cost by allowing the production process to scale in high volume, thus dropping cost per therapy, increasing production turn-around time and making the therapy accessible to a much larger population of patients.  It's a POC (Point of Care) approach, where the biopharma product is produced at, or near, the patient treatment site. This will provide for true Democratization. Listen to Episode 1, "Why Democratization and how does CAR T-cell Therapy Compare to Alternative Methods of Cancer Treatment?"

This Week's short and powerful episode is with Delphine, she has so much courage, after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, with a young daughter solo parenting, whilst working as a Osteopath she chose to walk a different path of healing. Her big wake up call was hearing the question when she got diagnosed: Do you want to live?  Delphine knew that if she created it herself she could heal herself too.  The determination and strength she had to take radical ownership of her own healing path is highly motivating, to choose a path less conventional,  she managed to heal herself all  through natural alternative therapies. Even though she was super fit and had a healthy lifestyle, she started to see signs of imbalance due to stress and anxiety which turned later into depression and fatigue, she believes it was due to poor boundaries, and a lot of repressed anger from childhood that was a big factor in creating the disease. This episode we speak about the mind-body connection, how childhood trauma can hugely affect our mental and emotional well-being, which if not dealt with in adulthood most likely can manifest into di-ease in the body.  Delphine shares the healing modalities that helped her to heal the cancer and shrink the tumor hugely through diet, detoxing the body, meditation, and energy work.  Unfortunately today, 1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men in the US will develop cancer within their lifetime. We hope this episode inspires you to know you do have the power to heal yourself, our intention is to educate and empower, sharing other forms of alternative therapies out there, so you can find the one that resonates the most with you.  We would love to know which has been your most insightful episode so far, re-share your FAVOURITE episode in your story, and tag us, it would mean the world to us to have your support in building the dharma journey community.  Thank you for sharing your support growing The Dharma Journey vision, if you feel inspired you can donate below to support us to reach more people, bring on more inspiring guests, and create more content that will be of value to everyone. Treating Obesity, with Joel Greene

The FM Shift

Treating obesity is one of special guest Joel Greene's areas of expertise. With over 50 years of experience researching nutrition, health, and anti-aging, Joel knows how to help patients lose weight and keep it off. Today, he teaches functional medicine practitioners how their patients can benefit from alternative weight loss methods. How treating obesity changes patient lives The connection between our ancient ancestors and modern weight issues Why obesity is prevalent How you can holistically lose weight How the body's cycles impact weight loss Alternative Methods to a Healthier Life Joel Green is the creator of the VEEP Nutrition System. Over the last 50 years, he has dedicated his life to researching and understanding health, nutrition, and anti-aging. He is a proponent of the keto diet and intermittent fasting, but more than that, he understands the connections between our ancestors and our modern dietary and health habits. By linking our genetics to eating patterns, he helps us see how to live our best lives and create healthy lifestyle choices. In this episode of The FM Shift, Joel teaches us about the importance of properly treating obesity and how functional medicine practitioners can help themselves and their patients by following the ancient eating patterns of our ancient ancestors. Cycles of the Body Did you know that the body has more cycles than just the circadian rhythm? There's a seven-day cycle, seasonal cycle, organ clocks and more. But what makes the biggest impact on our health and wellness? The organ cycle. Due to ancient genetics, our body goes through cycles that impact how our body stores and sheds fat and builds muscle. Our hunter-gatherer ancestors got used to having cycles of feast and famine, making their bodies adjust to both lifestyles. When our ancestors were in a lean season, they were able to be more sedentary and rely on fat reserves to keep them healthy. However, as soon as an abundance of food was available, they were quick to feast, then begin exercising. In our modern bodies, we get used to feasting nearly every while, while busy schedules and other factors make it difficult to make time for exercise. Without this important factor, our bodies hold on to fat more readily and lead to obesity. However, with the right information, treating obesity can be easy and effective. Intermittent Feasting Today, intermittent fasting is a fad that many health-conscious people pursue. But did you know that intermittent feasting was one of the ways our ancestors kept in shape? Because hunter-gatherers often found themselves in starvation mode, they were likely to feast intermittently. When food supplies were full, a feast was in order. Then, when supplies were lean, they would intermittently fast, allowing their bodies to go into starvation mode, which causes their adipocytes to shrink, resulting in weight loss and keeping them lean. With most modern humans having consistent access to food supplies, the theory of intermittent fasting and feasting has lost its place. However, for those who understand the body's cycles and want an alternative method to lose weight and create a lifestyle more similar to our ancient ancestors can be a great way to lose weight. Joel Greene Joel Greene is the creator of The VEEP Nutrition System, the world's first commercially available program based on targeting gut communities to affect health and body composition. His system has been used by some of the nation's largest employers, including major cities and hospitals and featured on Dr. Phil Show storylines. Joel is also a featured author, speaker, and consultant for nutrition companies, top tier publications, and major podcasts. Beginning with the first article on the gut biome revolution to the health and fitness community written in 2007 he has amassed the largest known body of outcomes targeting the gut biome. He is the author of The Immunity Code: The New Paradigm for Real Health and Radical Anti-Aging. Joel has devoted over 50 years to the pursuit of health, nutrition and anti-aging. He was training intervals in the 1970's, taking MCT's in the late 80's, Keto in the early 90's and targeting AMPK by 2009. At age 55 he is a 100 percent natural athlete and uses no ergogenic aids while working out on average once per week and eating whatever whenever. Joel has built two previous multi-million dollar companies in the tech space and been an entrepreneur for over 30 years. His own experiences building a startup with 15 hour days and non stop pressures led him to see that 99% of the popular advice does not translate into real world circumstances. He has devoted over 15 years to solving the problem of finding how to control the body under real life pressures.
