Join us as we sit down with the courageous Libby Davis, who shares the most personal of narratives: the loss of her beloved son, Cooper, to a fentanyl overdose. As a nurse and now a determined advocate, Libby's voice carries the weight of both professional insight and a mother's profound grief. Her mission through the Cooper Davis Memorial Foundation and Keepin' Clean with Coop extends beyond mourning; she is working to raise awareness about the lethal risks of illicit fentanyl and counterfeit pills, which have become a silent epidemic stealing the lives of the unsuspecting. The conversation is raw and deeply emotional as Libby bravely shares Cooper's series of events that led to his tragic overdose. Through her story, we're reminded that even those well-versed in healthcare are not immune to this crisis, and the necessity for honest conversations with our youth about the dangers of drug experimentation becomes ever more clear. In the wake of Cooper's passing, Libby's advocacy work has taken on new urgency, particularly in the context of Kansas's recent legalization of fentanyl testing strips — a contentious yet potentially life-saving tool. As we examine the multifaceted fentanyl crisis, touching on border control and public health strategies like Narcan distribution, it becomes apparent that the fight against this epidemic is as complex as it is critical. This podcast not only honors Cooper's memory but also serves as an essential platform for educating families and communities on the steps we can take together to prevent further loss.

Suicide has quickly become a rampant epidemic across our country and world today, especially in the lives of our youth and adolescents. Clearly, we need more suicide awareness and prevention measures as well as opportunities to be better equipped to meet the needs of today's generations like never before! Thankfully in today's episode we will be discussing a brand new movie that will provide opportunities just like those. Joining us today on the podcast is a 2x Emmy Award Winning Filmmaker and Director, Kyle Roberts. In and throughout today's conversation, Kyle will be unpacking his brand new movie, What Rhymes With Reason, which will be releasing October 10th - World Mental Health Day! This movie involves movie involves a tragedy which ignites a group of teens to go on a quest to find a legendary landmark hidden in the wilderness. Together, they navigate the adventure while confronting the darkness within themselves. Kyle was called to the mission of developing a film that was family friendly yet still highlighting some of the challenges that our youth and adolescents are facing such as anxiety, depression, identity development, and even conversations and thoughts of suicide. However, Kyle's heart, and what you see in the culmination of the film is that he wants every young person to walk away feeling seen, heard, not alone, and understanding that they were created by God, on purpose, and for a purpose! That's his heart and you'll hear all throughout today's conversation about the little details that God orchestrated, and how His fingerprints have been all over the preparation and production of this film! And what I love about this movie is that it provides and sparks an incredible opportunity for so many families to be able to have some difficult yet imperative conversations together! So again I challenge you to not just listen to today's episode and hear an inspiring story on the background of an incredible new movie that I believe we need for such a time as this, but I challenge you to actually do something with that by taking your friends and families to pack the movie theaters out on October 10th to go and see Kyle's brand new movie, What Rhymes With Reason! Find Out More about What Rhymes With Reason Here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt21515872/ Watch the Official Trailer for What Rhymes With Reason Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga0yt-IJ0o8 Purchase Tickets for What Rhymes With Reason Here: https://www.regmovies.com/

Tamara is a "sur-thriver" of Domestic Family Terrorism, Severe Parental Alienation, Intimate Partner Violence, Narcissistic Abuse, Court Harassment, Incarceration and threats and ultimatums on her life.    Tamara was with her husband for 20 years. When she was married , she was literally a single mother raising 4 children under the age of 5 and 1 child with TGA,(transposition of the Greater Arteries which is a severe heart condition). Also, her youngest had multiple open heart surgeries starting at his birth.      However, Tamara's husband was never home, being gone for 6 consecutive weeks at a time, home on a weekend and then gone again. She had the Mother and Father responsibilities and she just did it all because she thought her husband was building a business and a life for their family.     When she asked for a divorce in 2012 her children were 10, 12, 14, 16 years of age. The threats and ultimatums and rage from her husband were very severe. He told Tamara that the children could murder her and get away with it because they are under age and SHE deserved it. The Narcissistic tactics at this point were a full on attack against Tamara, a SMEAR CAMPAIGN, the gaslighting, as well as the neighbors, friends, her own brother and parents, the judges, lawyers, therapists, police, priest, school principals were all AGAINST her. She was labeled "Bi-polar," "Mentally ill" and "Crazy."  Her husband wanted her dead. Tamara was afraid for her life, so so she decided to put the truth out on social media and that literally saved her life and started an organization called #LoveDominates.     She didn't want her children to believe what the Alienator was telling them. Tamara stayed local in town until my last child graduated HS, even though she was not part of their lives anymore. She wanted to role model to them, that her heart is filled with LOVE and NOT to accept this kind of abuse or behaviors from anyone. Tamara is hoping that she taught them to speak out for their God given rights and to follow their intuition.    Tamara has come along way. Her journey, she believes is to sail around the world making awareness to #ParentalAlienation, #CPSCorruption, #ElderlyCareAbuse, #ChildTrafficking, #ChildAbuse, #HateCrimes, #DV, #IPV, #CourtCorruption and to spread the word of #AgapeLove. For every nautical mile she will sail it is for this purpose. She is the only solo sailor woman to sail around the world for this cause. Description: Welcome to the podcast, where we explore the truths hidden beneath the surface of our daily lives. Join Debra, a seasoned physician, and bestselling author, as she shares her insights on the challenges doctors face in providing good patient care, the wave of dysfunction that is fracturing our communities, and the influence of media and corporations on our professional lives. In this episode, we delve into "The Undue Influences we unconsciously jockey in our daily lives," and how they impact our thoughts, beliefs, and opinions. Debra explains how the standard business model cannot be applied to human life and the frustrations of physicians who are losing the doctor-patient bond. We also ask the thought-provoking question, "Are your thoughts really your own?" and explore why it is so hard to let in new ideas and be tolerant of other's differences. Debra reveals who benefits from discouraging people from evaluating information for themselves, from political platforms to groceries. Debra shares her expertise on the difficulty in discerning the truth in a world filled with fake news. She also talks about why there seems to be no middle ground anymore and why we must accept all of our parties' decisions on every issue. We delve into the loss of the doctor-patient relationship and why so many physician practices are selling out to corporate entities. Debra also addresses the frustration of patients who feel their doctors no longer have the time to listen to them. We explore whether the standard American business model is appropriate for healthcare and why patients are asked to fill out customer satisfaction surveys. Finally, we discuss why Debra chooses to write about important societal issues as fiction and how Truth in Fiction can gently guide us towards a more harmonious society. Tune in to the podcast to gain a deeper understanding of the issues that impact our lives and to learn how to wade through the morass of information to discover the truth via fiction storytelling. Introducing Salvatore M. Buscemi Salvatore M. Buscemi is the CEO and co-founder of Dandrew Partners - a private family investment office that has managed money successfully for almost 20 years by creating multiple portfolios on various cross-asset platforms. Sal is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer on real estate finance at professional symposia. He has written numerous books and articles on real estate and private equity finance in various publications, including Investor's Business Daily and Forbes, and on television shows such as CBS New York and Good Morning LaLa Land. What You Will Learn Ways VC Firms Can Improve Their Portfolio Company's Brand Awareness What to Expect From Silicon Valley Bank's Abrupt Closure How the .001% of People Invest  Breakdown [00:47] Getting to Know Salvatore Buscemi [03:35] Common Mistakes by PE Firms and Their Portfolio Companies [06:25] How to Use Media to Bring Awareness to Your Portfolio Companies [07:42] Only Investing in Companies with Strong Founders [11:30] Recent Successes in Sal's Portfolio [13:30] How to Top .001% Invest [16:30] The Herd Mentality in Silicon Valley [20:46] Why Not All Ideas Get Funded [22:40] Venture Capital in a High-Interest Rate Environment [25:33] VC Firms Focusing More on Quality Companies [28:14] What More Expensive Debt Means For VC Companies [30:40] Advice on How to Make Better Quality Investments [34:54] Things Sal Likes and Dislikes About Private Equity[36:24] Pari's Go-To Self-Improvement Resources [37:25] Parting Thoughts  How the .001% Invest The .001% of people invest differently than the middle class. Anyone making $150,000 a year is in the 1%. Even though they essentially make a lot of money, they typically don't invest like the super wealthy. Why? Because they have a lot of debt, they are wage earners - so they can be fired at a moment's notice. Plus, they look at investing as a way to grow wealth in a short period of time. So, essentially their investment mandate is to get rich quick. In contrast, the top .001% focus on capital preservation and increasing status. You won't find them buying the latest Gucci shoes, but you will find them discussing how to buy a sports team or leave a permanent mark in the world.  Why You Need to Build Better Networks  The people who have the worst investments have the worst networks. If all the people in your network are concentrated in one specific niche, that's a problem. According to Salva, you need to spend a disproportionate amount of time networking. This is the only way you can guarantee a healthy deal flow. Building a strong network of people can lead to new opportunities you may not have had access to otherwise. Your network can connect you with potential clients, employers, and other professionals who can help you grow your business or advance your career.  Whether you're looking for new opportunities, support, different perspectives, learning opportunities, or collaborations, you need a strong network of people. So take the time to invest in networking, meeting new people, attending conferences, and building meaningful relationships with the people in and out of your area of expertise. How to Contact Sal Salvatore's LinkedIn  ,Investinglegacy.com ,Investing Legacy: How the .001% Invest by Salvatore Buscemi

A show that will continue to bring awareness, educate the audience members, and benefit AIDS Resource Center, Equitas Health-Toledo: Jaymes talks to Stage Door about Stone Production's upcoming show In 1980s New York, a writer and his friends join forces to expose the truth about the emerging AIDs crisis to both the government and the gay community. During the early 1980s, Jewish-American writer and gay activist Ned Weeks struggles to pull together an organization focused on raising awareness about the fact that an unidentified disease is killing off an oddly specific group of people: gay men largely in New York City. Dr. Emma Brookner, a physician and survivor of polio, as a consequence of which she is using a wheelchair, is the most experienced with this strange new outbreak and bemoans the lack of medical knowledge on the illness, encouraging the abstinence of gay men for their own safety, since it is unknown yet even how the disease is spread. Ned, a patient and friend of Brookner, calls upon his lawyer brother, Ben, to help fund his crisis organization; however, Ben's attitude toward his brother is to give merely passive support, ultimately exposing his apparent homophobia. For the first time in his life, meanwhile, Ned falls in love, beginning a relationship with New York Times writer Felix Turner. Brandon grew up in the trades industry. His family owned and operated Scharnweber's Water Conditioning for over 30 years with locations in 3 cities around central Iowa. From an early age, he was found at plumbing counters, delivering products and on jobsites helping his family. During a few summers, he worked cleaning out port-a-potties in farm fields for all of the Iowans working those summer jobs. It wasn't glamorous work, but he learned the value of hard work that led to his belief that every job is important and has purpose. After high school, Brandon worked at Lennox manufacturing heaters and air conditioning units while paying for college. Once again, the work was not always glamorous, but he made lifelong friendships with his colleagues on the line at Lennox. After college, he met his wife, Jill, also born into the plumbing industry. They were soon on the move together for a new job opportunity. Brandon & Jill both worked for Ferguson Enterprises in the industry that had raised them. Brandon worked on residential and commercial building projects in Las Vegas during the boom of the mid 2000's with his fingerprints on many of the large projects from that time. It's an experience he is very thankful for. After 3-1/2 years in the Southwest, Ferguson moved them back to the Midwest to Omaha and then again 13 months later for an immediate need in their home state of Iowa. They gladly accepted and were happy to be close to their families. In 2010 Brandon entered the real estate field while continuing to build on his education and network in the home building industry. He's been fortunate to work on custom homes, remodels and with countless first-time homebuyers making those big decisions. In 2013, life changed forever when Brandon and Jill welcomed their son, Lachlan, to the world. Two years later they added Brecken, their second son, to the mix. When the Patterson's aren't busy running around for work or one of their numerous volunteering events, they enjoy spending time together with family and friends. They have a deep love for their Iowa Hawkeyes and go to games often. Brandon is an avid runner and loves the outdoors. He's a repeat Tough Mudder runner, half and full marathon veteran, and has just got into biking. He truly enjoys getting on the trails alone to see all the sights that Iowa has to offer.
