From the intimacy of Iranian culture and its historical heritage, New York-based musician and artist Rahill Jamalifard grew up in Michigan in a family who vauled music with great admiration. Having placed herself in the creative core of her community's music scene, Rahill fell in love with the land of Lou Reed on a simple trip to "The City Of Dreams" before deciding to move there indefinitely over a decade ago. Influenced by her surroundings and their anciet teachings, Rahill pulled from the great Brion Gysin and his Dream Machine while effortlessly embodying the city's atmosphere and befriending its poetic population. While occupying a gig in the fashion industry, she began fronting bands such as Habibi and Roya before embarking on a wonderful solo career that has shapped her into a fierce force of soulful sound and a destination for melodic meditation. While a huge Spring tour supporting La Luz is on the horizon, Rahill has established an electrifying entry in music that will age gracefully as time progresses.

On Lanegan's 2017 US tour, Garwood performed as the opening act, as well as a sideman in Lanegan's band.In 2021, Garwood featured in Morcheeba's song “The Edge Of The World” which is the last song of their album Blackest Blue. ~ Wikipediahttps://dukegarwood.bandcamp.com/musichttps://www.instagram.com/dukegarwood dukegarwood.co.ukThe event in Vienna was organized and hosted by Delta Punkhttps://www.instagram.com/deltapunkCover photo: Interceptor Beyond

Two figures who have changed the cultural and artistic landscape of the west, also happened to be great friends that inspired each other. One of them you most likely might have heard of. The other is virtually unknown these days. For a period of time, William Burroughs and Brion Gysin shared what they called "The Third Mind," a collaborative process which saw both figures egging each other on to greater heights of inspiration and creativity. But what helped them during this process? Magic of course. For the first time ever in the Fools Gallery, we look at two artists in the same episode, and are joined by musician, author and Podcaster Vic Hyland!

If you want to see the effect of a sinister energy on a society, look no further than Hollywood. From the music of decades past to the movies that dominate screens now, brain-washing and total control have always been the mission, and its contagion effect has spread across the world from politics to ordinary people. How did this sinister mission begin? What does it mean for anyone who wants out of this wicked reality? In this episode, return guest and author of “Confessions of an Illuminati”, Leo Zagami shares the not-so-subtle links between Hollywood, mind control and the military industrial complex. Three Things We Learned -How psychedelics are used for evilWhen it comes to the mind-control of the Hollywood elite, are they unknowing, unwitting pawns or willing participants? -The evil of NetflixCan we really trust what streaming services are putting out right now, or is something nefarious behind the content? - How to protect yourself from mind control by way of entertainmentWhy do we have to consume popular content with a whole lot of caution? An exploration of how magic can be found within all human activities• Offers a “magical-anthropological” tour from ancient Norse shamanism to the modern magick of occultists like Genesis P-Orridge• Looks at how human beings are naturally attracted to magic and how this attraction can be corrupted by both religious organizations and occult societies• Examines magic as it relates to psychedelics, Witchcraft, shamanism, pilgrimage, Jungian individuation, mortality, and the literary works of Beat icons like Burroughs and GysinSince the dawn of time, magic has been the node around which all human activities and culture revolve. As magic entered the development of science, art, philosophy, religion, myth, and psychology, it still retained its essence: that we have a dynamic connection with all other forms of life.Exploring the source magic that flows beneath the surface of culture and occulture throughout the ages, Carl Abrahamsson offers a “magical-anthropological” journey from ancient Norse shamanism to the modern magick of occultists like Genesis P-Orridge. He looks at how human beings relate to and are naturally attracted to magic. He examines in depth the consequences of magical practice and how the attraction to magic can be corrupted by both religious organizations and occult societies. He shows how the positive effects of magic are instinctively grasped by children, who view the world as magical. The author looks at magic and occulture as they relate to psychedelics, Witchcraft, shamanism, Thee Temple of Psychick Youth (TOPY), the panic rituals of the Master Musicians of Joujouka in Morocco, psychological individuation processes, literary “magical realism,” and the cut-up technique of Beat icons like William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin. He explores the similarities in psychology between poet Ezra Pound and magician Austin Osman Spare. He looks at the Scandinavian Fenris Wolf as a mythic force and how personal pilgrimages can greatly enrich our lives. He also examines the philosophy of German author Ernst Jünger, the magical techniques of British filmmaker Derek Jarman, and the quintessential importance of accepting our own mortality.Sharing his more than 30 years of experiences in the fields of occulture and magical anthropology, Carl Abrahamsson explores ancient and modern magical history to reveal the source magic that connects us all, past and present.Carl Abrahamsson is a writer, publisher, magico-anthropologist, and filmmaker. The author of Occulture, Reasonances, and Anton LaVey and the Church of Satan as well as the editor and publisher of the irregular anthology of occulture, The Fenris Wolf, he lives in Småland, Sweden.
Leo Zagami discusses his latest book on the entertainment industry's goal to exert profound influence and control on the masses in order to change society for dark and occult purposes. He also describes Hollywood's ties to the Military-Industrial-Complex, the British Royal Family, freemasonry, Aleister Crowley, and other groups. He discusses heresy in Catholicism and heretical Sabbatean Jewish Frankism and talks about his experience in the music industry and the heavy influence of secret societies and satanism. SAN ONOFRE wants Genesis P. Orridge so bad...

Leo Lyon Zagami, writer, researcher and Illuminati whistle blower shares about his illustrious connections to European Royalty. What he learnt as a Free mason and in other secret societies and the price he has paid for spilling the beans. He talks about the loss of a friend in the Norwegian Freedom Movement who died under suspicious circumstances and persecution in Italy. Is depopulation part of the Deep State agenda? Is socialism destroying Europe? Should Americans keep their guns? Are the secret societies practising Satanism? His grandfather was Senator Leopoldo Zagami, a Sicilian politician who was also a known historian and author, who married into the the aristocratic family of the Marquis de Gregorio. Leo's mother is Jessica Lyon Young, a member of the family of the Queen Mother of England whose father, Henry Lyon Young was also a writer. Felicity Mason, Leo's maternal grandmother, helped Leo in developing his talents since a young age. Felicity was an old time collaborator and friend of avant- garde eccentrics such as William Burroughs and Brion Gysin. She was also known under the pseudonym Anne Cumming, which made her famous in the 80's as a controversial novelist, after working for many years in the cinema business with prestigious figures such as Fellini and Zeffirelli. Zagami, who is known for a brilliant career as Leo Young in the media and music industry as a Record Producer, became quickly popular on the web in 2006, because of his direct involvement in the New World Order and Secret Societies known to the majority of us as the “Illuminati.” His blog rose quickly and gained attention from people such as David Icke, for it's accurate fully documented ground breaking inside information. Between 2009 and 2014 he began publishing books in Europe and Japan, based on a variety of subjects that range from the history of the secret societies and the Vatican, to geo-political matters concerning the New World Order. In 2013, he collaborated with well known Italian journalists, Ferruccio Pinotti and Giacomo Galeazzi, in drafting a chapter for their Italian Best Seller “Vaticano Massone,” which was released in May 2013, dedicated to the secretive world of Vatican Freemasonry. Zagami who has collaborated in the last few years with a series of articles and scoops for Infowars, has been the protagonist of a highly successful documentary made by Alex Jones in Rome, called “Demonic Possession Of The Vatican Exposed” launched in 2015 during the 24 hour Infowars special called “Operation Money Bomb ” and later broke a scoop on Infowars in 2017 on a Gay Vatican Drug/Orgy, that forced the mainstream media to cover the story. After publishing 12 books in Italy and Japan with great success, he finally reached the English speaking public thanks to a 5 book deal made with San Francisco's CCC Publishing, who made available some of his previous works in the English language. However Leo's latest books, Confessions volume 4, Confessions Volume 5 and Vol. 6.66, published by newly established publishing house Cursum Perficio, were written entirely in English and not translated from Italian. Leo travels around the world giving conferences and has recently relocated to the U.S. after suffering political and religious persecution for his work in his native Italy. He is also publicly known for being one of the founders of Italians4Trump and Trumpiani d'Italia, the first Trumpian organizations out of the U.S. created to support the election and later the work of president elect Donald J. Trump. Further content information from this episode: https://www.livetheimpossible.today/169

We also discuss some important research findings of Tommy's concerning the Mayan 2012 prophecy and the link to Burroughs, the importance of the alien insect overlords found in Burroughs's writings, and expand further on Burroughs's interest in the occult, including why most literary critics ignore this aspect of Burroughs entirely.Episode Notes:Tommy P. How did you sleep last night? Artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (http://www.iainandjane.com/) , and writer Stuart Evers paint a possible future for our sleep and dreams in a 24/7 world. Artists explore the non-stop nature of modern life. Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard discuss their work Somnoproxy, a futuristic bedtime story with writer Stuart Evers, which features as part of the exhibition 24/7. This immersive audio installation centres on the fictional story of someone who sleeps on behalf of wealthy executives, too busy to sleep themselves. It’s a state-of-the-art sonic escape from reality, complete with a dream-machine designed by Brion Gysin, ‘viewed’ with the eyes closed. The pulsating light can produce Hypnagogia, the experience of the transitional state from wakefulness to sleep. ‘Sleep coincides with the metabolizing of what is ingested by day: drugs, alcohol, all the detritus from interfacing with illuminated screens; but also the flood of anxieties, fears, doubts, longings, imaginings of failure or the big score.’ — Jonathan Crary Featuring contributions from exhibition curator Sarah Cook and Jonathan Reekie, co-curator of 24/7 and Director of Somerset House. The exhibition 24/7 - A Wake Up Call For Our Non-Stop World (https://www.somersethouse.org.uk/whats-on/247) at Somerset House takes visitors on a multi-sensory journey from the cold light of the moon to the fading warmth of sunset through five themed zones and contains over 50 multi-disciplinary works that will provoke and entertain. The exhibition runs at Somerset House until 23 February 2020. Producer: Eleanor Scott Sound Design: Harry Murdoch Mixed by Nick Ryan Featuring excerpts from Somnoproxy, an audio installation by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. Story by Stuart Evers. Read by Enzo Cilenti and Kate Ashfield. Originally commissioned by Moog Sound Lab UK with support from the Adonyeva Foundation.

Episode 152: The Illuminated Leo Lyon Zagami, writer and researcher is the son of Dr. Elio Zagami (1939- 2010), known Jungian analyst, writer and co- founder of GAPA (Independent Group of Analytical Psychology, of which he was president). His grandfather was Senator Leopoldo Zagami, a Sicilian politician who was also a known historian and author, who married into the the aristocratic family of the Marquis de Gregorio. Leo's mother is Jessica Lyon Young, a member of the family of the Queen Mother of England. Her father, Henry Lyon Young was also a writer. Felicity Mason, mother, Leo's maternal grandmother, helped Leo in developing his talents since a young age. Felicity was an old time collaborator and friend of avant-garde eccentrics such as William Burroughs and Brion Gysin. Zagami who has collaborated in the last four years with a series of articles and scoops for Infowars, has been the protagonist of a highly successful documentary made by Alex Jones in Rome, called “Demonic Possession Of The Vatican Exposed: Leo Zagami Interview, launched three years ago during the 24 hour Infowars special called “Operation Money Bomb ” and recently broke a recent scoop on Infowars, on the Gay Vatican Drug/Orgy, that forced the mainstream media to later cover the story.

Hopefully by now you’ve heard the last episode with Gordon White and Jay Springett, because it is a great companion piece to the conversation you’re about to hear with our guest, Dr. Kasper Opstrup. Kasper is a writer and researcher of what he calls radical culture, specializing in concatenations of art and literature, radical politics, and occultism as counterculture and underground phenomenon. Kasper published his PhD in book form back in November 2017. It’s called The Way Out: Invisible Insurrections and Radical Imaginaries in the UK Underground 1961-1991. His book charts a hidden history of experiments with cultural engineering, with the hopes of expanding current discussions of art, media, politics, radical education and the occult revival. Along the way, we encounter a series of figures – including William Burroughs, Brion Gysin, Genesis P-Orridge and Alexander Trocchi – all of whom blurred the lines between inner and outer, the invisible and the material. But instead of turning things upside down, the world was to be changed from the inside out.

Dr. Al Cummins is in the house to chat about some of the forbidden arts, as they were known during the Renaissance: a few different forms of divination, including geomancy, which Al is gearing up to teach here very soon. More on that after the chat. And also cartomancy, which both fascinates and excites me, probably in an unhealthy, strange sort of way. Of course, Al is a professional diviner and historian, as well as a poet and a consultant of all things magical. His approach to ritual, divination, and sorcery comes from both a long-term practice and an academic background in the history of early modern magic. And we put that background to the test at the very end of this chat. We had a little fun, and if you’re a patron, there’s something really cool in store for a couple of you here soon. Modern Primitivism is a mixtape — a real one, recorded directly on tape — curated by Pasquale Lomolino, the founder of several obscure independent record labels, devoted to new and old avant-garde music. The term Modern Primitivism also defines the criteria used to establish the selection; in fact the fil rouge that connects the pieces is the use of primitive instruments to produce new music. Another aspect to mention is that all the pieces had been only released on cassette — again a primitive medium — and for this reason are almost impossible to find on the internet. The episode features: Brion Gysin, Cranioclast, O Yuki Conjugate, Robert Rich, Jean Tinguely, Déficit Des Années Antérieures, Riccardo Sinigaglia, Zone, Christina Kubisch & Roberto Laneri, Two Daughters.
Jarvis Cocker returns to Radio 4 with his nocturnal explorations of the human condition. In tonight's Wireless Night, Jarvis travels to a remote village in the Rif Mountains of Morocco to join the Master Musicians of Joujouka. Their ancient Sufi trance music is said to heal crazy minds. Jarvis wonders if his own troubled mind can find tranquillity there but encounters the wild living embodiment of the God Pan, half man and half goat, who has other ideas. The Master Musicians of Joujouka were first discovered by Western ears in the 1950's when beat writers and artists like Brion Gysin and William Burroughs, living in Tangier, were lured up to the hills and had their minds blown by the healing power of the music. Rolling Stone Brian Jones also made a recording of their music shortly before his death calling it The Rites of Pan in Joujouka. This ritual lives on in the village, where somebody dressed in goatskins takes on the mythical character Bou Jeloud, enters a trance, whirls around with branches of willow and anyone he brushes with is blessed with fertility. For one night only Jarvis joins the musicians and Bou Jeloud under a starlit sky in North Africa where unexpected things happen after dark. This programme was recorded "Binaurally". This is a special, immersive way of recording whereby you'll hear things the way Jarvis was hearing them and can best be appreciated by listening on headphones. Producer Neil McCarthy.
Part 1 of the Process by Brion Gysin.
According to Pew Research Group 91% of adult Americans have a mobile phone of some sort. We are more connected than ever. Using that information I mixed in ideas inspired by Brion Gysin’s cut up technique and Steve Reich’s Violin Phase and created this piece.Consider this an auditory argument that increased connections do not correspondingly increase the quality of communication.

Artistas: Constantin Brancusi, Brassaï, John Cale, Claude Closky, Eugene Deslaw, Audouin Dollfus, Helga Fanderl, Fischli/Weiss, Cai Guo-Qiang, Brion Gysin, Andor Kertész, Ange Leccia, Jean le Pautre, Claude Lévêque, Rose Lowder, Anthony McCall, Dora Maar, Ana Mendieta, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Yoko Ono, Anri Sala, Roman Signer, José Antonio Sistiaga, Israël Sylvestre, Rui Toscano, Apichatpong Weerasethakul y Cerith Wyn Evans. This week: Philip von Zweck (Bad mofo, artist, and storied, long running host of Something Else on WLUW) and Simon Anderson (Associate Professor Department of Art History, Theory + Criticismm SAIC) interview a living legend, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. Breyer P-Orridge was in town for an exhibition S/he is having at Western Exhibitions. Genesis P-Orridge and performance artist Lady Jaye Breyer began a collaborative effort begun in 1993 that focused on a single, central concern: deconstructing the fiction of self. Frustrated by what they felt to be culturally enforced limits on identity but emboldened by the radical power of love, P-Orridge and Lady Jaye applied collage and cut-up techniques to their own bodies in an effort to merge their respective selves. Through plastic surgery, hormone therapy, cross-dressing and altered behavior, they fashioned a single, pandrogynous being, Breyer P-Orridge. The work is an experiment in identity, a test of how fully two people can integrate their lives, and, ultimately, a symbolic gesture of evolution and the alchemical union of the male and female halves of the human. Although Lady Jaye passed away in 2007, Genesis has continued Breyer P-Orridge, putting into question not only the limits between self and other but also life and death. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge was born in Manchester, England in 1950. S/he was a member of the Kinetic action group Exploding Galaxy/Transmedia Exploration from 1969-1970. S/he conceived of and founded the seminal British performance art group Coum Transmissions in 1969 and was the co-founder of Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, and the spoken word/ambient music performance group Thee Majesty. Throughout Genesis' long career, s/he has worked and collaborated with William S. Burroughs, Brion Gysin, Derek Jarman and Dr. Timothy Leary, among others. H/er art has been exhibited internationally, including recent exhibitions at Deitch Projects, Mass MOCA, Centre Pompidou, Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, Barbican Museum, the Swiss Institute and White Columns, amongst others. Upcoming exhibitions will include a solo exhibition at Rupert Goldsworthy in Berlin, a keynote address at the Erotic Screens Conference, Centre for Public Culture and Ideas at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia and a lecture at the Museum of Modern Art, New York in March. H/er archive was recently acquired for the permanent collection of the Tate Britain Museum.

Breakfast with Lunch, the focus of a 1975 program produced by Charles Ruas at WBAI-FM in New York. It contains matchless readings by author William S. Burroughs, plus a fascinating discussion led by Allen Ginsberg, and including publisher Maurice Girodias, James Grauerholz, and Carl Solomon discussing the publication of Burroughs' best-known novel, Naked Lunch. An introduction to the influence of Jack Keroac on Burroughs is provided by the remarkable Felicity Mason (aka Anne Cumming), the professed "adoptive" sister of Brion Gysin.
