126 MILLION women & girls are "missing" (dead) from the world population due to severe discrimination and lack of basic human rights -- in other words due to social, man-made causes. That figure comes from the UN Population Fund. That's more deaths than World War I and World War II combined. It's 3.7% of the global female population -- a staggering loss. There is cause for hope. The fact that gendercide is a socially created, man-made problem means that it is a fixable problem. With this in mind, the Gendercide Awareness Project focuses on: 1) Raising awareness, particularly through our traveling art exhibit 2) Taking action by educating at-risk girls in developing countries. We believe that educating girls is the best long-term strategy for ending gendercide. With education and job skills, girls are transformed from economic burdens to economic assets, and they are better positioned to fight for equal rights.
Most of the Santa Claus experience falls into the routine of Ho Ho Ho, would you like to sit on Santa's lap? What would you like for christmas? Can you give Santa a big hug? This is all a special time and relationship with children and I would not diminish it or minimize it. Once in a while a child breaks out of the regular "Christmas Story" script and throws a curve. "I had one of those peak experiences yesterday on my second day on the chair this year. I want to mention it because what a 5 year old girl said deserves to be heard. After a short list of the popular presents she wished "all the children in cages were let go". Santa was in a real dilemma. The easy out was, "OK Santa will take care of that," which would have blown this little girl's angel nature out of the water when it did not happen. I chose to respond with "I am not sure if I can do that, but I will go see the children and tell them I love them and God loves them." Santa of Enchantment teaches us all that love is the greatest gift of all, and it must begin within each and every one of us.

Break the Chain is an award-winning documentary that addresses the often ""hidden-in-plain-sight"" issue of Human Trafficking within Michigan communities and the United States. The film chronicles two survivors of Human Trafficking - providing a detailed look at how trafficking goes unnoticed within our backyards. Kwami and Debbie were enslaved and exploited as children for numerous years within the US before anyone took notice. Both survivors of sex and labor trafficking recount their experiences with a trafficker who promised them a better life. Accompanying their stories of abuse and survival are interviews with those actively working to raise awareness and create creative solutions to combat this hidden global issue. The film strays from the traditional sensationalized ways of exploring human trafficking issues and helps us learn that we are all connected to this billion dollar industry, and we have the power to change lives by choosing how we consume our information, what we support, and ultimately, how we break the chain.

Doctrine of Discovery and Domination, has been kept silent for hundreds of years. On May 4, 1493, Pope Alexander VI released a document entitled, "The Doctrine of Discovery."
