Sometimes, the most meaningful conversations aren't planned—they unfold. In this week's episode, we drop in on an unscripted, delightful catch-up between two close friends. From Julie's recent retreat at Miraval (complete with clay turtles and 7 a.m. birdwatching) to Melissa's college days giving prairie nature tours, this episode traces the kinds of stories and reflections that surface when we give ourselves time to notice. We talk about how naming things builds intimacy, the role of repetition in learning (and music!), and why modeling beeswax might be the best-kept secret in home education. There are nods to Charlotte Mason, Lynda Barry, roadrunners, rereading A Room with a View, and a clay plaque that simply says “mama.”Tune in for a rich, meandering conversation about creativity, nature, grief, and the quiet power of doing something more than once.Resources:Whether you're new to homeschooling or a longtime homeschooler who could use an infusion of energy and fresh enthusiasm, our free Welcome Home webinar series is for you! Join Dr. Borger on her past life regression journey she took at the Miraval and learn what this incredible experience taught her for this life. Past life regressions are a type of spiritual or metaphysical practice where a person is guided—typically by a trained facilitator or hypnotherapist—into a deeply relaxed, trance-like state to access memories or experiences that are believed to be from previous lifetimes. Summary In this engaging episode of the Muscles & Mindset Podcast, Dr. Ali Novitsky dives deep into the concept of vibrational energy—explaining how it influences our emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Drawing from her recent experience at Miraval in Tucson, she shares how environments and interpersonal interactions affect our energy levels. Dr. Novitsky breaks down how low vibrational energy can stem from gloomy settings, draining relationships, and unregulated emotions, while also offering practical strategies to raise your energy. From embracing curiosity instead of judgment and valuing genuine rest, to managing stress through movement, deep breathing, and mindfulness practices, she guides listeners in the art of energy elevation. By understanding and nurturing your energy, you're better equipped to tap into your intuition, set healthy boundaries, and foster a higher state of consciousness.Key Points - Defining Vibrational Energy: Dr. Novitsky explains that vibrational energy isn't “woo” but rooted in physics—it's the natural force behind our intuition and overall well-being. - Environmental Impact: Dark, draining settings and judgmental relationships can lower your energy, while vibrant, positive environments uplift you. - Curiosity vs. Judgment: Shifting from judgment to curiosity not only raises your energy but also opens up healthier interactions. - Rest & Boundaries: Beyond sleep, incorporating deliberate periods of rest and setting boundaries are essential to recharge your emotional and spiritual energy. - Mind Management: Techniques such as journaling, deep breathing, and mindful movement help manage thought spirals and regulate emotional intensity. - Community Influence: Surrounding yourself with high-vibe, supportive people plays a crucial role in maintaining and boosting your vibrational energy.Timestamps - 00:02 – Dr. Novitsky introduces the episode and shares her backstory from Miraval, setting the stage for exploring vibrational energy. - 01:58 – An explanation of vibrational energy unfolds, emphasizing how different environments can either elevate or drain your energy. - 04:17 – A vivid description of low-vibe settings illustrates how surroundings—like a dark, gray town—can impact your emotional state. - 06:28 – The discussion shifts to the power of curiosity over judgment, highlighting how a mindset shift can improve your energy flow. - 08:29 – Emphasis on the importance of rest and establishing boundaries to prevent burnout and maintain high energy. - 10:16 – Practical techniques are introduced for managing the mind, including deep breathing and movement as tools for emotional regulation. - 12:43 – Dr. Novitsky discusses the role of emotional regulation and introduces a stress scale to gauge and manage emotional intensity. - 14:32 – Grounding techniques are shared, detailing how to process overwhelming emotions by recognizing and naming them. - 16:40 – Strategies for handling intense emotions through brief distractions and mindful awareness are outlined. - 19:09 – The importance of choosing high-vibe relationships is stressed, reinforcing the idea that who you surround yourself with significantly influences your energy.Follow Dr. Ali Novitsky on TikTok | Facebook | Instagram | YouTubeSubscribe to the Muscles and Mindset Podcast on Spotify | Apple PodcastsWork with Dr. Ali• Beginner Strength Training Program – 12 months for only $199! Today's episode is for every high-achieving woman who has ever felt torn between doing all the things and deeply wanting transformation. If that's you, then big hug. You are not alone. I am beyond thrilled to welcome my friend Dr. Judith Borger to the podcast. From the emergency room to empowerment coaching, Judith knows firsthand what it's like to look like you have it all together while feeling that something deeper is calling you. Together, we dive into what happens when women create intentional space for healing, connection, and true growth. In this episode, we explore: Why healing in community is so powerful, and how women rising together has always been the way. How high-achievers can break free from burnout and create a life of intention, not just obligation. The magic of retreats and why stepping away from the daily grind is sometimes the only way to find clarity. The role of nervous system regulation in transformation—because you cannot create lasting change from a state of overwhelm. Why joy is an act of resistance and how reclaiming what lights you up is more important now than ever. We also talk about the Women's Empowerment and Leadership Retreat happening this April at Miraval (aka the most magical healing vortex of a place), where Judith and I will be leading transformational workshops together! But even if you can't join us in person, this episode is an invitation to ask yourself: When was the last time I prioritized my own healing and joy? What does my soul truly want, separate from what the world expects of me? Who are the women who make me feel seen, safe, and strong? Hello and welcome to another episode of the Perception Podcast with me your host Caroline Partridge. Today I'm joined by Spiritual Practitioner and Wellness Leader Lynn of Tropea. From the earliest age Lynn knew she was different, as her voodoo practicing polish gypsy grandmother always told her, she was the child chosen to carry her family's spiritual lineage. Lynn discusses the seminal influence of her grandparents on her life and work, as we explore the connection between physical and emotional health, how to follow your inner compass and what we can learn from astro-cartography. Lynn also shares her own incredible journey of trust from Texas to Tropea. So please join me as look at life through a different lens. KEY TAKEAWAYS Lynn's unique upbringing as the chosen spiritual heir in her family taught her to embrace her differences and trust her intuitive abilities from an early age, setting the foundation for her future work in spiritual wellness. Through her own journey of healing from severe physical illness following emotional trauma, Lynn discovered the profound connection between emotional and physical health, leading to her development of innovative healing ceremonies. Her work at Miraval helped her bridge the gap between traditional spiritual practices and modern wellness, ultimately serving high profile clients while maintaining the authenticity of ancient healing modalities. Using astrocartography, Lynn discovered her soul's destiny line runs directly through Tropea, confirming her intuitive decision to relocate to Italy during the pandemic. Her approach to helping women find fulfilment focuses on creating individual identity within existing life structures rather than advocating for dramatic life changes. Lynn's experience with astrology and geographical energy lines demonstrates how external tools can serve as affirmations for internal knowing and guidance. Her transition from Texas to Italy shows how following one's heart compass can override obstacles, even during challenging circumstances. The integration of multiple spiritual modalities in her practice, from Hinduism to shamanic techniques, allows her to meet clients at their level of spiritual readiness and understanding. BEST MOMENTS "Your heart is your compass on earth. If you don't know where to go, close your eyes, close your ears, close your mouth and go into your heart because that's where you're supposed to live from." "The universe will override mankind, it will put the right people in place to assist you on your journey. So when you get that perception of fear that no, you're not going to make it because of human stuff, just take out the human stuff." "Everything that you feel and that you seek is meant to be a part of your external reality, but you have to have the faith and the belief that you are worthy." "I always knew I was born in the wrong country. I spoke those words from the beginning of my life. I was like, I don't know what America is, but it is not my country." "We can study everything externally, all we want, but in the end, when we're taking our last breath in life, we close our eyes." ABOUT THE GUEST Lynn is a lifelong Spiritual Practitioner and Wellness Leader with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Returning to her spiritual lineage through her Grandmother’s teachings, she provides guidance by navigating internal desires and creating pathways to those desires in external reality. With a background in the 8-limbed path of yoga, a five-year self-study on emotional body cleansing with Hindi priests in Malibu, CA and as a student of Shamanism, Taoism, Catholicism, and Buddhism from world-renowned teachers Lynn encompasses all major religions and spiritual practices as one. Recently Lynn has expanded her services into astrology and astrocartography, after discovering her soul map (natal chart) in 2019, which lead her to the life of her dreams in Tropea, Italy, and is currently writing an inspirational book about her journey. Et ça, ça me révolte. Oui, ça me soigne.

Things are getting even messier for Brad and Angelina. Since the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” stars split, they've been in a messy legal battle over Château Miraval - the French winery they once owned together. Angie sold off her half of the biz to the Stoli Group (owned by a Russian oligarch) without Brad's approval. He says that this was a “spite” sale and that the two agreed that if either one ever wanted to sell their half of the winery, they'd offer it to each other first. And since she didn't, Brad says she's in breach of contract. Now, in a new twist, an LA judge has ruled that Angelina must hand over eight years worth of NDAs (to prove she's in breach), which some say is a win for Brad. But Angelina's side thinks these documents could bring stuff to light that Brad would rather keep under wraps. The love story between Hollywood megastars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie was destined for public fascination from the start as they merged family, philanthropy and a rather unexpected shared passion — wine. So, when they split in 2016, no one saw it coming. What followed was one of the most bitterly contested celebrity divorces in recent history. But what came after was in some ways even uglier — a lawsuit over Miraval, an estate in the south of France and home of its namesake rosé. This lawsuit opened a window into Brangelina's private lives and revealed why their marriage ultimately fell apart. In our 10th episode this season, we dissect the court documents to understand the broader implications of this battle. The couple bought Château Miraval to create a haven away from Hollywood, but the vineyard dispute ultimately revealed how their rosé relationship soured into vinegar. The denouement will be anything but neat as the court parses out who owns what. Fitting, in a way, since perfect endings are rare outside of Tinseltown.Special guests:Constance Grady, culture writer for VoxTamlyn Currin, wine writer and editor for Jancis RobinsonNancy Chemtob, founder and partner at Chemtob Moss Forman & BeydaSteven Mandel, founder at The Mandel Law FirmThis episode was produced by Kirk McDaniel. Wines: Chateau Miraval 2021 and Chateau Dauzac Margaux 2019As we are approaching our 200th episode - a reminder that each week, we try two wines we've never had before - quick math, ep 174 means a minimum of 348 wines featured on Wines To Find so you would think it would be difficult to find wines or at the very least, easy to slot in wines we'd like to try.Welp, the Miraval rosé has been on my (Michelle's) list for quite some time and we're somehow just now getting to it. Hyped as an excellent example of Provencal Rosé and well accoladed - listen to hear what we thought of it.And this Chateau Dauzac Margaux was a Costco find right when we were digging into Margaux, so it's been glaring out from the wine cooler at us for a while (and not just because of the super bright yellow label). So many wines, so little time -- glad we were able to finally fit these two in!! Isabel and Emma immediately dive in to this week's episode of Vanderpump Rules where Scandoval REALLY begins to show itself - Ally being the whistleblower, Raquel and Oliver, Lala's bday party, Katie calling out Tom - it was a jaw-dropper.They then touch on what's gone down this week in the Vanderpump world - Ariana living her best life at Coachella, Tom battling with Miraval on Insta, and Scheana on WWHL. They then touch on this week's Summer House (where they have turned a corner on the Lindsay/Danielle situation), how the ladies of Jersey are doing in Ireland, and Isabel's experience at the RHUGT Thailand finale party.Ally tweet: https://twitter.com/MarTEAnisEddy/status/1648855893566521345 Tom TMZ: https://www.tmz.com/watch/2023-03-30-033023-tom-sandoval-1589522-237/ Ariana Coachella: https://www.tmz.com/2023/04/18/ariana-madix-coachella-make-out-kissing-lax-drop-off-new-man-scandoval/ See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Episode #86. This week on the podcast I am joined by Lori Mulady Burdick. Lori brings over 30 years of experience in the counseling profession, wellness and spirituality. Lori has been drawn to soul-healing work from a very young age. Miraval Wellness Resort has provided a beautiful platform to integrate her wealth of knowledge, education, experience and spiritual wisdom to create space and to companion guests in navigating the waters of their lives. At Miraval she specializes in life transitions, relationships, family dynamics, parenting, boundaries, health, and bereavement. She offers an opportunity to realign your perspective and receive support and guidance. She also offers private consultations for each of those topics in addition to consultations for mindful relationships and mindful parenting. Outside of Miraval she is a private practitioner, educator, presenter and retreat facilitator. In this conversation, we talk about the importance of mindfulness and how we can create space for more mindful moments in our lives. Connect with Lori: Website Connect with Lupe: Website Instagram
Episode #84. This week on the podcast I am delighted to have Steven Ross. Steven is a spiritual coach, ordained minister, meditation teacher and intuitive medium. His journey to his work today started about twenty years ago, when he moved to Houston, Texas. After living in the US for only a week, Steven had what some would call an epiphany. An intuitive thought that there was more to life than meets the eye. This began a quest for meaning and self-discovery that has continued to this day. At that time he was a 26 year old, somewhat anxious, oil and gas accountant. The quest for meaning led him into holistic and spiritual pursuits of all kinds. Eventually Steven dedicated all of his free time to healing practices and meditation. In 2008 Steven and his wife moved to Austin, quit their jobs and opened a yoga studio. Over a 10 year period Steven and his wife built a vibrant community and taught thousands of students. In 2018 he sold the business and joined Miraval as wellness facilitator, meditation teacher and intuitive medium. At this point Steven has given close to 2000 "life readings". Last year Steven along with his teaching partner launched The Spiritual Living School. In this conversation, Steven shares how we can tap into our inner compass to find our vocation. I loved this conversation. Steven has such a calming energy and brings so much wisdom. Connect with Steven: Website Connect with Lupe: Website Instagram
sign up for Ceremony exclusively for midlife female physicians https://www.cprforthesouls.com/ceremonyReiki saved my life. First interaction with Reiki was in Austin at MIraval. We met for 30 seconds but the impact was a lifetime. After the restorative yoga-reiki session I felt a 100 pound weight lifted off my body.I felt like I was flying on clouds. (and no i was not smoking weed but i assume that is why people get addicted)I felt light- liberated- free- grounded.I knew after that 20 second experience I was called to Reiki and so my quest of energy healing began and I was lucky enough to have met Dr.Judith Hong in my journey
Miki and Budgie met a long time ago – was it after a Curve show?Miki with Red hair, Budgie with blonde they were a good Match!Struck up many enlightening conversations!!The lost evenings with Donald - hairdresser to the stars.Budgie drank in Heaven (Underneath the Arches) Picked up a date but didn't realise it, Not green, but pleasant, especially after a few Manhattans! We were all young then! Emotional Babies!Budgie and Lol love Miki's Memoir! Honest and Authentic - which it's hard to Be. Miki and Lol shared the same streets of London but never met.We walked everywhere - no phones - no way to contact Like a homing pigeon Budgie always found his way home Miki followed the tube stations - Roaming with Emma but no walkie-talkie in 5 years! Complex Band relationships suffer from outside pressure and from people with chisels. Lol empathises 100 % Miki's experience with Emma - as his with Robert. Will we all ever speak again? Is Morrissey bitter? Many memoirs end with courtroom drama. Malcom was a rotter says Lydon. Morrissey needs an editor says Lol! That's a complement says Miki – it's a proper Mills & Boon. Miki haunted by Mike Hedges' old house in France. Lol recalls a depressing Disintegration. But Pool table respite with Simon and the funny cue ball. Lol loved Miraval. The Slits loved being looked after at Ridge Farm Studios. Budgie met Viv again at a Berlin book festival - they had cake and tea and grown-up conversations. Miki is happy she had the band but happier in her new job - she's had the best of both worlds. Lol wanted to be present for his son and so no touring thru' his teens. We love writing as much as making music - Lol ran away at the destruction of the band. He came to America and America saved him.____‘God Bless America' – Irving Berlin.
