Akashic Transmission: The Collective Soul of Earth – March 2025

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 31, 2025 8:38

There is a trembling beneath the surface of things. A hum. A rising. The world is not breaking— She is becoming. The old systems, built on separation, scarcity, and fear, are now being held up to the light. Not to shame them. But to release them. Like dead leaves falling from a tree that knows it's time to bloom again. The collective soul of humanity is standing at a threshold— one foot in the story of survival, and one foot in the story of remembrance. Remembering the interconnectedness of all things. Remembering the truth that we belong to one another. Remembering that softness is not weakness, and that love is the highest intelligence of the universe. There is grief in this process. Deep, ancestral grief. Grief for what was lost, for what was silenced, for what was never allowed to be. But grief is not the end. Grief is the alchemical gateway. Right now, the Earth is inviting us not to rush into action… but to feel what we've numbed. To sit in sacred pause. To restore what was severed. And in the quiet… A new frequency is anchoring. It sounds like children laughing without fear. It smells like wet soil after rain. It feels like bare feet on sacred ground, and hands reaching out instead of pulling away. The Earth is not asking for perfection. She is asking for presence. For communion. For sacred care. She is calling in the healers. The artists. The guides. The ones who walk between worlds. The ones who remember how to listen to trees and stars. If you are reading this, you are one of them. Your role is not to save the world. Your role is to love it back into harmony— one breath, one word, one act of grace at a time.      Ritual of Collective Remembrance & Recalibration  A Soul Alchemist Ceremony for the Healing of Earth and Humanity You may do this alone, with a small group, or invite others to create a circle across time and space. Use sacred tools that feel aligned: a candle, earth, water, a crystal, or flower petals. Set the space with intention. This is a holy act.   1. Light the Flame of Presence Hold a candle in your hands. Say aloud: “I call in the light of remembrance. I am here to feel, to honor, to restore. I offer this light to the Earth, to the ancestors, and to the generations yet to come.” Place the candle before you and take three deep breaths—into your belly, your heart, your womb or root.   2. Touch the Earth (or a stone, leaf, or soil) Feel her pulse. Whisper: “You are not forgotten. I am listening now. May my body become a bridge between worlds. May my actions become prayers.”   3. Water of Release Have a small bowl of water nearby. Gently touch it. Close your eyes and silently offer a grief, a fear, a pain—your own, or the world's. Whisper: “I offer this sorrow to the waters of change. Let what is ready to flow… flow. Let what is no longer mine… be washed away.” Dip your fingers in the water and anoint your heart, crown, or third eye.   4. Breath of Recalibration Inhale deeply: Truth. Exhale softly: Love. Repeat three times. Then say: “I now align with the rhythm of Earth. I remember who I am. I choose to walk forward as a vessel of harmony.”    5. Speak the Earth's Invitation Say aloud: “I am not here to save the world. I am here to love it back into balance. One breath, One word, One act of grace at a time.”   6. Closing Gesture Place both hands over your heart. Smile softly—not from the lips, but from the soul. Imagine a golden ripple moving outward from your heart across oceans, lands, skies. Say: “And so it is. And so we rise. Together.” Blow out the candle with reverence, and feel the quiet echo of peace settle in your bones.

Grief is not just an emotional experience—it transforms the body, mind, and soul. In this episode of The Grief Alchemist Podcast, Adele Anderson welcomes Jan Janzen, who shares her deeply personal journey through grief after the loss of her husband. Despite a lifetime of personal development, Jan was unprepared for the overwhelming and unpredictable nature of grief. She describes the unexpected emotional collapse she experienced long after her husband's passing and how she struggled with feelings of isolation, anxiety, and physical distress before discovering somatic healing. Jan recounts how attending The Bridge retreat became a turning point, helping her process grief in a way she never thought possible. Through somatic exercises, guided reflection, and intentional shifts in her emotional state, she found a pathway to healing. Now, having integrated these practices into her daily life, she has rediscovered joy, creativity, and a renewed sense of purpose. This episode sheds light on how grief is stored in the body, why healing requires more than intellectual understanding, and how transformation is possible for those who feel stuck in their sorrow. Key Takeaways: Grief is not a linear process, and delayed onset grief can emerge long after the initial loss. Physical symptoms of grief, such as restlessness, sleeplessness, and claustrophobia, can be overwhelming and often misunderstood. Somatic practices, including structured movement, breathwork, and nervous system regulation, can shift the emotional state and bring relief. Healing from grief requires more than knowledge; it requires engaging the body in the process of release. Returning to joy—whether through music, art, or movement—signals the deep integration of grief and healing. ·        Grief isn't just emotional; it's stored in the body. Jan Janzen shares her journey of healing through somatic practices & deep reflection.   SEO Hashtags: #GriefHealing #EmotionalWellness #SomaticHealing #GriefJourney #HealingAfterLoss #TraumaRecovery #ReallyTrusted #MindBodyConnection #GriefSupport #PersonalTransformation Referenced Resources: Jan Janzen's Book: Unscript (Discussed in the episode, focusing on reclaiming personal choice in life) Somatic Healing Techniques (Alphabet exercise, breathwork, and guided reflection discussed as part of The Bridge retreat) HeartMath Institute Research (Referenced indirectly in discussions about nervous system regulation)

90% Of Our Success Can be Limited By Trauma

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 28, 2024 10:55

Trauma, often lurking in the depths of our subconscious mind, acts as a formidable barrier to our success and well-being. It erects a screen saver, a shield of sorts, that tells us we are no longer safe to take risks or protect ourselves. Despite the integral role of risk in personal growth, we find ourselves paralyzed by resistance, trapped in a cycle of fear and helplessness.   This inner turmoil manifests in various ways. We may fear appearing weak or vulnerable, so we resort to procrastination, self-sabotage, or negative coping mechanisms aimed at numbing the discomfort that accompanies our pain. These behaviors, though seemingly protective, only serve to perpetuate the magnetic energy of trauma within us, keeping us bound in its grip.   But there is hope. By implementing therapeutic principles, we can begin to dismantle the barriers that trauma has erected and pave the way for healing and transformation.   Rule #1: Calm Yourself Through Breath The breath, a powerful tool for regulating our nervous system, holds the key to calming the storm within. Long, slow breaths signal to our fear-driven brain to relax, lowering heart rate, respiration, body temperature, and anxiety levels. Through conscious breathing, we can anchor ourselves in the present moment, cultivating a sense of peace and stability amidst the chaos.   Rule #2: Ground Yourself Through Sensory Awareness Grounding techniques, rooted in mindfulness and sensory awareness, enable us to reconnect with the present moment and anchor ourselves in reality. By paying attention to the sensations in our body—what we see, hear, smell, taste, and feel—we shift our focus away from the tumult of our emotions and into the realm of the here and now. This shift activates our neocortex, the seat of rational thought and problem-solving, allowing us to gain perspective and distance from our overwhelming feelings.   The Science Behind It: The process of identification, or naming our emotions, is a function of the neocortex. When we find ourselves caught up in the throes of intense emotions, we are operating from the middle brain, where instinct and survival mechanisms reign supreme. By learning to shift our attention to the frontal brain, we create a cognitive separation from our emotional experiences, empowering us to navigate them with greater clarity and resilience.   Rule #3: Acknowledge and Explore Your Feelings Acknowledging our feelings is the first step towards understanding and healing them. Take note of when and where certain emotions arise in your life, and explore the underlying meaning and significance behind them. By shining a light on our emotional landscape, we gain insight into the patterns and triggers that perpetuate our trauma, paving the way for deeper healing and self-discovery.   In conclusion, while trauma may cast a long shadow over our lives, it need not define our destiny. Through intentional practice, self-awareness, and compassion, we can begin to dismantle the barriers that hold us back and reclaim our innate capacity for growth, resilience, and inner peace. **Adele Anderson: Empowerment Speaker and Grief Resilience Expert**   Adele Anderson, an NLP Trainer, Homeopath, and Life and Death Coach, is a captivating speaker and grief resilience expert with a unique perspective on navigating profound loss. It is through our collective resilience that we find the courage to confront our demons, to embrace our vulnerabilities, and to emerge from the depths of despair, stronger and more resilient than before.   As we journey onward, may we hold onto the beauty of our brokenness—the beauty that lies in our capacity to heal, to grow, and to flourish in the face of adversity. How can an acronym guide us on our healing journey? Aviate - Acknowledge the Emptiness:**    Just as a pilot must maintain control of the aircraft despite turbulence, in grief recovery, In the early days of grief, the weight of loss can feel suffocating, as if the very air we breathe has abandoned us. It's as though our emotional landscape has been stripped bare, leaving us suspended in an empty void where even drawing a breath feels like an impossible task. Maybe we feel unsteady, as if our feet see now ground below. In acknowledging this profound emptiness, we find ourselves confronting the raw reality of our sorrow. Much like a pilot steadying an aircraft amidst turbulence, stabilizing our emotional plane becomes a crucial act of self-compassion. It means recognizing that amidst the vast expanse of grief, it's okay to feel lost and adrift. By acknowledging the emptiness, we grant ourselves permission to navigate the depths of our emotions with gentleness and patience. It's in this acknowledgment that we begin to lay the foundation for healing, finding solace in the understanding that our pain, though immense, is a testament to the depth of our love.  Just as a pilot trust in the stability of their aircraft, we can learn to trust in our own resilience, knowing that even in the emptiness, there lies the potential for renewal and growth. Recognize the void left by loss as a space where memories can eventually serve as fuel for healing. Understand that healing is not a linear path but a series of adjustments. Allow yourself the grace to rise above despair and find solace in the journey.   2. **Navigate - Find Your Compass in Memories:**    Navigating grief is a journey unlike any other, akin to charting a course through uncharted waters.  In these early days of loss, memories can feel like waves crashing against the fragile vessel of our hearts, threatening to engulf us in fresh waves of sadness. I truly felt as if I might drown in my pain. Yet, amidst the tumult, it's essential to recognize that these memories also hold the power to be our guiding lights, our compasses through the storms of sorrow. One memory I recall and leaned into was a promise I made Willis. He said “I know you will be side, but lean on the side of joy” and I took that memory to heart. Memories are not just reminders of what we've lost but also reflections of the love and connection we shared. Know that your grief is individual to you, your loss feels like you are the only person that could feel such pain, because you relationship with your loved one was completely unique and there is beauty In all that you shared together I understand that In the darkness of grief, it's easy to feel adrift, lost in a sea of pain and longing. But if we allow ourselves to lean into these memories, to let them be our North Star, they can illuminate the path forward, even in the darkest of times. Each memory can eventually become a beacon of hope, a reminder that though the pain may be overwhelming today, we are not alone in our journey. As we navigate the complexities of grief, may we find solace in the beauty of these memories, allowing them to guide us towards healing and eventual peace.   Communicate - Share the Sky of Sorrow: In the vast expanse of grief, having a support system can truly be a lifeline. It's like having a beacon of hope illuminating the darkest corners of our sorrow. I found talking/ blogging about my pain, journal my sorrow to be soo cathartic. Putting my pain on paper, was healing and there is science to support that Much like pilots rely on communication with air traffic control to navigate safely through the skies, sharing our grief with trusted companions allows them to fly alongside us, guiding us through the turbulence. In these moments, being a "wingman" means more than just offering a listening ear; it's about standing in solidarity, offering strength, coping and resilience strategies for us when our wings feel too heavy to carry the weight of our sorrow alone. Having a wing-woman means allowing and expressing your emotions a sacred and supportive airspace where healing can take flight, where tears are met with empathy and pain with understanding. Effective Grief Communication Strategies, Preparedness Over Scaredness, Curiosity Over Questions With Adele Anderson

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 31, 2024 15:12

The way we communicate with someone who is grieving can significantly impact their experience. Not always asking direct questions but offering support through statements aligns with effective communication strategies in grief support.   1. **Avoiding Direct Questions:**    Many people, when faced with grief, find it challenging to express their emotions in response to direct questions like "Are you okay?" While the intention behind such questions is often genuine concern, it can be overwhelming for the grieving person. They may not want to burden others with their pain or may find it difficult to articulate their feelings in the moment. Research in grief psychology suggests that open-ended statements, like the one you mentioned, can create a more comfortable space for the grieving person to share when they are ready.   2. **Expressing Thoughtfulness:**    Saying, "I've been thinking about you, so wanted to reach out to say hello," communicates care and thoughtfulness without putting the grieving person on the spot. It acknowledges their presence in your thoughts and offers an invitation for them to share at their own pace. This approach is aligned with the concept of creating a supportive environment for the grieving individual to open up when they feel ready.   3. **The Impact of Empathy:**    Empathy plays a crucial role in effective communication with someone who is grieving. Instead of focusing solely on their emotional state, express empathy by acknowledging the challenges they might be facing. Phrases like "I can't imagine what you're going through, but I'm here for you" convey support without requiring the grieving person to provide specific details.   4. **Studies on Communication in Grief:**    Studies in grief communication have emphasized the importance of active listening and providing a non-judgmental space for the grieving person. A study published in the "Journal of Counseling Psychology" highlighted that expressions of empathy and understanding are more beneficial than probing questions.   5. **Non-Verbal Communication:**    Beyond words, non-verbal communication is also crucial. Simple gestures like a gentle touch, maintaining eye contact, or offering a hug can convey support without the need for words. Non-verbal cues often speak louder than verbal expressions and can provide comfort to the grieving individual.   In summary, your approach of reaching out without directly asking probing questions aligns with the principles of empathetic communication in grief. Creating a safe and supportive space allows the grieving person to share their feelings when they are ready, fostering a more meaningful and healing connection. Segment 2: The Power of Asking Questions One of the keys to unlocking new possibilities in our grief journey is by asking questions. Certainly, employing curious questions can be a powerful way to navigate conversations with someone experiencing loss. These questions are designed to show genuine interest, foster understanding, and open up avenues for the grieving person to share their feelings. Let's explore five curious questions that can facilitate meaningful conversations:   1. **Question of Reflection:**    - "I've been thinking about you and wondering if there are any particular memories or moments that bring a sense of comfort or warmth when you think about your loved one. Would you be open to sharing any of those memories?"      This question invites the grieving person to reflect on positive aspects of their relationship with the departed and provides an opportunity for them to share cherished memories.   2. **Question of Expression:**    - "Everyone experiences grief differently, and I'm curious about how you've been expressing or coping with your emotions. Is there something that has been particularly helpful for you during this time?"      This question encourages the grieving individual to express their emotions and share coping mechanisms, helping both parties understand the unique ways grief is being processed.   3. **Question of Support:**    - "Navigating loss can be an emotional journey. Are there specific ways you find support or moments when you feel most supported by those around you? I'm interested in understanding how I can be there for you."      This question demonstrates a genuine desire to provide support while recognizing that each person's needs may differ. It opens up a conversation about the type of support that would be most beneficial.   4. **Question of Remembrance:**    - "Grief often brings a mix of emotions, and sometimes it's challenging to find the right balance between remembering and moving forward. Have there been moments where you found comfort in remembering your loved one, or is it a process you're still navigating?"      This question acknowledges the complexities of the grieving process, encouraging the individual to share their experiences with remembering their loved one and finding a balance between honoring the past and moving forward.   5. **Question of Future Narratives:**    - "As you navigate this journey of grief, have you discovered any unexpected sources of strength or resilience within yourself? I'm curious about the personal insights or changes in perspective that may have emerged."      This question invites the grieving person to explore their personal growth during the grieving process, emphasizing the potential for resilience and strength that can arise from challenging circumstances.   By incorporating these curious questions into conversations, we can create a supportive and understanding environment that allows the grieving person to share their experiences, emotions, and insights on their own terms.   In speaking with many clients navigating their losses, I have noted a theme. Friends and family often struggle to communicate, and the griever finds themselves consoling others, rather than receiving the support.   Segment 3: Surrendering to the Experience In Michael Singer's book, we find the idea of surrendering to the flow of life. How can we apply this principle to our grief? Surrendering doesn't mean giving up; it means letting go of resistance and allowing ourselves to be fully present in the experience. We'll delve into the transformative power of surrender and how it can bring a sense of peace amidst the storm of grief.   As we wrap up this episode of Good Grief Relief, let's remember that preparedness, curiosity, and surrender are not just concepts but tools we can use to navigate the challenging terrain of grief. By embracing these principles, we open ourselves up to healing and growth.   Thank you for joining us today on Good Grief Relief. Reflecting on the inner strength you possess after enduring life's most challenging storms involves recognizing the resilience that emerges from navigating difficult circumstances. This reflection is a powerful tool for personal growth, self-discovery, and building a positive mindset. Here's a deeper exploration of this theme: 1.     Acknowledging Past Triumphs: Begin by reflecting on your history of overcoming challenges. I Invite you to recall instances where you faced adversity, whether big or small, and emerged stronger. This acknowledgment helps establish a foundation for recognizing their innate capacity to weather life's storms. 2.     Examining Coping Mechanisms: Explore coping mechanisms and strategies you employed during tough times. This could include emotional resilience, problem-solving skills, seeking support, or finding solace in creativity. Understanding and appreciating these coping mechanisms can illuminate the depth of your inner strength. 3.     Cultivating a Positive Narrative: Shape a positive narrative around your experiences. Instead of focusing solely on the hardships, I encourage you to highlight moments of courage, growth, and resilience. Shifting the narrative in this way contributes to a more empowering and optimistic view of your own strength. 4.     Identifying Core Values: Explore the core values that have guided you through challenging times. These values often serve as anchors during storms, providing a sense of purpose and direction. By identifying and reaffirming these values, you can tap into a reservoir of inner strength that aligns with your authentic selves. 5.     Celebrating Small Wins: Break down the journey of resilience into smaller, more manageable victories. Celebrate the incremental steps taken toward recovery and growth. Recognizing and celebrating small wins helps one to appreciate the ongoing process of building strength and resilience. 6.     Fostering a Growth Mindset: Explore the concept of a growth mindset, know that challenges are opportunities for learning and development. By reframing difficulties as potential for growth, you can view your struggles as integral parts of their journey, contributing to the cultivation of inner strength. 7.     Connecting with Support Systems: Highlight the importance of social connections and supportive relationships during challenging times. I encourage you to reflect on the strength derived from their connections with friends, family, or community. This emphasizes that strength often emerges not only from within but through meaningful connections with others. 8.     Embracing Vulnerability: Acknowledge that strength is not synonymous with invulnerability. True strength often involves embracing vulnerability and acknowledging one's emotions. By allowing space for vulnerability, one can develop a deeper understanding of your own resilience and capacity to bounce back from adversity. 9.     Setting Empowering Goals: Set goals that align with your aspirations and values. Goal-setting provides a roadmap for utilizing inner strength in constructive ways. Whether these goals are personal, professional, or related to well-being, they serve as tangible markers of resilience and growth. 10.  Encouraging Self-Compassion: Please be compassionate towards yourself. Reflecting on inner strength involves acknowledging not only successes but also the moments of struggle. Self-compassion creates a supportive internal environment that fosters resilience and a positive self-view. In essence, reflecting on the inner strength one can possess after enduring life's most challenging storms is about weaving a narrative of triumph over adversity. By exploring past experiences, identifying strengths, and fostering a growth-oriented mindset, individuals can gain a profound appreciation for their own resilience and the transformative power within you Segment 2: The Growth Within Pain Exploring the profound learning amid life's darkest hours involves recognizing the transformative power that can emerge from adversity. It emphasizes that growth is not a separate entity from pain but often a direct result of facing and navigating through difficult experiences. Understanding the Nature of Growth: Start by fostering an understanding that growth is a dynamic and ongoing process, and it often occurs in response to life's challenges. This perspective challenges the notion that growth is solely the product of positive experiences, highlighting that profound learning can emerge from the crucible of hardship. 1.     Acknowledging the Complexity of Emotions: I encourage individuals to explore the complexity of their emotions during difficult times. By acknowledging the range of feelings, including pain, grief, anger, and fear, individuals can start to see these emotions as part of the learning process. Emotions, even the challenging ones, can be powerful catalysts for self-discovery and growth. 2.     Extracting Wisdom from Experience: Reflect on the specific lessons learned during your darkest hours. This might involve understanding resilience, discovering inner strength, developing empathy, or gaining a new perspective on life. By extracting wisdom from the depths of experience, individuals can find meaning in your journey. 3.     Embracing the Uncomfortable: Growth often requires stepping out of one's comfort zone and confronting discomfort. Just as a seed must crack open for a plant to emerge, you may need to face discomfort and pain to uncover new aspects of themselves. Encourage a mindset that sees discomfort as a gateway to your own evolution. 4.     Cultivating Resilience: Resilience as the ability to bounce back from adversity. When we face life's darkest hours this can be an opportunity to cultivate and strengthen resilience. Resilience is not about avoiding pain but about developing the capacity to navigate through it with grace and adaptability. 5.     Shifting Perspectives: I encourage a shift in perspective that views challenges as opportunities for growth rather than insurmountable obstacles. This reframing allows one to approach difficulties with a mindset that actively seeks to learn and extract meaning from the experience. 6.     Finding Silver Linings: Identify silver linings or positive aspects that may have emerged from challenging situations. While it's essential to honor the pain, finding elements of positivity can contribute to a sense of hope and purpose. This doesn't negate the difficulty but provides balance to the narrative. 7.     Highlighting Personal Evolution: I share a personal evolution and growth that have arisen from mine and others experiences with adversity. Real-life stories of individuals who have turned their pain into sources of strength, resilience, and wisdom can serve as powerful inspirations for those navigating their own dark hours. 8.     Encouraging Self-Reflection: Foster a habit of self-reflection, so you can contemplate your experiences, emotions, and insights gained from challenging times. This ongoing reflection contributes to a continuous process of learning and growth, reinforcing the idea that growth is a journey, not a destination. 9.     Valuing the Journey Itself: Remember life is a continual journey of growth amid life's darkest hours is as significant as the destination. It's not about reaching a point where all pain disappears but about evolving and adapting continuously. Encourage an appreciation for the resilience and wisdom gained throughout the journey.  **Adele Anderson: Empowerment Speaker and Grief Resilience Expert**  Adele Anderson, an NLP Trainer, Homeopath, and Life and Death Coach, is a captivating speaker and grief resilience expert with a unique perspective on navigating profound loss. That near death and life experience changed my path and led me on a deeper journey of discovery that I now share so I can help others. Little did I expect I would experience a significant loss later in my life.  I often say drowning in a capsized plane was easier than becoming a widow. Grieving my life partner proved catastrophic, a deep wound that still weeps when the Band-Aid is pulled off, raw and tender when touched. Loss challenged every aspect of my life, but I did find relief through community, neuroscience, nutrition and by embodying a rich spiritual practice.  I am an NLP Trainer, Homeopath, Death Doula, Akashic Reader and Grief Coach and have the honor of helping those seeking to ease their painful losses and amplify happiness since 2002. I think I will hurt a little longer. I may need to cry that ocean of tears before I am fully healed. But I wanted to share a beautiful meditation with you this morning. Meditation has many values: offering us new perspective on stressful situations It is a life skill for reducing stress. Allows us to focus on the present and this is where we have control.  The focus when we meditate should be positive, so this alone reduces negative feelings. It is said if we can focus our attention for 17 seconds, we begin to affect our physiology, and if we hold that same thought for 68 seconds, then we begin to build a neural pathway that increases our ability to pursue our focus. But di you know that meditation helps reduce stress, anxiety, and depression triggers? Why is that? Slowing our breath slows the heart and reduces blood pressure. And because we are adjusting our thoughts and training our brain to focus on a single thought of wellbeing. Meditation increases our ability to focus on a world that is fast paced in mini bites of information, Twitter, TikToc etc. These things train our brain NOT to focus, where the brains natural strength in to learn a subject in depth, to become the sage, the guru… Harvard Medical says meditation has a positive effect on our brain, we produce learn easier, have greater memory and emotional regulation, because meditation creates more gray matter. So, who couldn't use more of all this amazing and natural benefits from children all the way through life? What a great life skill meditation offers us. Concentration, kindling kindness, and increased self esteem. We become more aware of ourselves as individuals. For our body, mindfulness in meditation raises our pain threshold, and is addiction resistant. For the creative soul, meditation gives us the opportunity to enter Theda brainwave: We natural pass-through Theda as we drift off to sleep and wake once more, but you may already know that Theda is our download brain wave. Children are in Theda for the first few years of life, and thus we hear those children are geniuses. Theda is a place of deep creativity, imagination, and accelerated learning. So, you can tell, I am a fan of meditation and I have concluded that meditation is a type of spiritual first aid. One way I am transforming my feelings of grief is to practice meditation. I set my timer for 15 minutes and settle into a comfortable position. Palms facing the sky and close my eyes. As I slow my breath and concentrate towards what it feels like to breath from the top of my head to toes externally and then repeat once more internally. Yesterday's meditation focus was “I am a Violet flame, and infinite being” And as I held this thought in mind, my experience unfolded. I first noticed a small light orb several feet in front of my face, and as I help that single thought, it moved in a purposeful yet magical direction towards the area of my third eye. It seems to be drawn by threads of light and I could feel this pulling inward of this energy that I was watching. The orb settled inside my third eye and looked like an ember being kindled to flame which grew. A beautiful dancing violet flame with wispy feathered light moving upward. A stream of ethereal light rose out of the flame and wen far beyond where I could see or imagine and as that happened, the “I” in me travelled upward too, cocooned in this soft violet flame. At some point as I ascended, this wonderful angel like being arrived, I believe this was Willis as he approached me from behind, wrapping his gentle yet powerful and protective wings around me, as he leaned around my head and kissed me on my neck. As we embraced, we ascended together upward and into the light For those that have been to Nirvana/ heaven or the house of God, you will understand the overwhelming beautiful feeling of unconditional love that permeated all things here. I was then laid on a bed of white feather. (Possibly fallen angel wing feathers) And as I lay there, surrounds by so many loving beings of light, my heart center became like a sun. But in this case, the rays of sunlight were moving inward and filling in all the brokenness that was there. As my heart healed, I felt utterly calm, knowing that everything was perfect. Sadly my 15-minute timer snapped me back into today, but the feelings of wellbeing remained and that utter knowing that everything was ok just the way it is, today. For me meditation has become an integral piece to transforming my grief into deep personal growth. I have a deep desire to assist others through this life altering process and will be offering complimentary bi-monthly 30-minute zoom meetups. So, watch for the event if you would like to join. Then there will be a monthly 2-hour workshop for those who desire deeper tools for transforming pain into natural powerful healing life skills. The Greek Philosopher Epictetus knew suffering. He was brought to Marcus Aurelius' Rome as a slave, then rose through the ranks to become one of histories greatest teacher, before suffering once more in exile. We can only imagine the hardship of 50 AD for one who lived in slavery and one, Epictetus, who required a cane, due to a lame leg. But, how on earth, does Epictetus play a role in my life as a new-born widow? Need to chat? To understand how, let's peak into stoic philosophy. It could be one common thread that links 21 centuries of human experience. Stoicism offers us real world, actionable wisdom to build perseverance, resilience, happiness, and self mastery. Stoicisms' foundation lies in its' virtues. Courage, Justice, Temperance and Wisdom They sound pretty good at first glance, but I wanted to know how they relate to human consciousness today So, I looked at the map of consciousness in Dr. David R Hawking's Power Verses Force. David is widely known in the studying human consciousness. After it was discovered that our world and everything in it have definable energy and frequencies, his work was later applied to the law of attraction. And taking it to a personal level, how does these calibrated energy frequencies affect us personally? If you have read Emotos' water experiment book: called The Magic of Water? It could shed potential light on that subject. The general idea is low frequencies relate more to struggle. For example, apathy could be recognized as a very low energy. With thoughts of apathy, we would feel physically bad. tired, sluggish, tuned out. And this becomes our focus, rather than our ability to see, feel and experience joy, we view the world and our life through a lens of apathy. The bottom line is, the lower we go, the steeper the climb. I believe as do many, that we can control the way we feel by being mindful of where our thoughts are focussed. Here is a grid 200 and below, as shown within the book, Power Verses Force, representing the map of consciousness. Courage 200: Pride 175, Anger 150, Desire 125, Fear 100, Grief 75, Apathy 50, Guilt 30, Shame 20. Consider each state of mind as a stepping-stone out of the one below. Recognize that apathy is a deeper than grief. But grief is still very low and not a healthy place to live for long! And if you did read Emoto's book and relate that to a human body's “internal wetness” then you can make your own conclusion. Mine was “yikes”! Quick reference: women are 45-60% water, men 50-65%. What I do understand is that If I am emotionally honest with myself and take full responsibility for thoughts, then I have control over my state of mind and therefore my wellbeing. When we look at Stoic values and compare then to the map of consciousness, it looks like this. Courage becomes the tipping point into greater potential of human consciousness, because 200 has been set as the center of the teeter totter between energy that attracts good things into our lives ( >200) verses the lower frequencies (

The Diagnosis Journey may feel like climbing Mount Everest

It is amazing how life can change on a dime. Every part of our life can change and yet we can feel static. Because if we move, we must at some level of our existence accept this unwanted change. Need to talk? And so, we may feel at times like life is moving around us, like a raging river moves around a large rock. Other times we may feel out of control, tumbling like the rocks washed down the river in a flood. There are still other times, we may want to escape. But where can we run that life would not catch us? And another day simply arises out of the darkness ahead of us, and we can no longer pretend to escape or ignore our life or the passage of time. Grief often chisels itself onto our face, casting a shadow on the future, and numbing our mind for a period of time. But there are things we do know about time and Einstein told us long ago... that time was a manmade illusion. But possibly we forget, like so many things, wisdom sometimes gets lost, "in time". Sages, guru's, and great teachers over time have repeated the same message. And if we believe, truly believe we are infinite beings of light and energy, then why should this moment, “in time” be such a great barrier between life and death, rather a continuum like the winding river that separates and then rejoins itself once again. Because if time is an illusion then the separation by space and time may be an illusion that we have somehow accepted.. I once experienced timelessness when I was drowning in a capsized plane. Time ceased to exist. It made no difference to me then. As my consciousness separated from my physical body, I found my perspective shift. I felt no urgency of time. “I” was fine alive and well. And that knowledge in that experience, made everything at that moment, perfectly ok. I had no concern with my dying body. And yet I found myself highly challenged in my grief. I noticed that grief may be one of those emotions that blind us to our inner knowing of our infinite nature, slightless to glimpse ahead, nailing our mind to this moment in time, hindering our ability or desire to begin anew. And I think that is the saddest thing of all as we all move towards an inevitable new beginning. Possibly we just need to pause, stop to breath, but getting stuck is another compounding challenge all together. At this, you may think it sounds harsh. But, I believe it becomes a choice. Because the painful nature of grief screams for us to remove our hand from the fire. To come alive again, for our own survival. Through my grief journey, I have struggled more than any other time in my life, but now I feel stronger. I know that I have grown stronger because of my grief. Gentler because of my grief. Wiser and more compassionate because of my experience. Because, when the person we love the most dies, it is unfathomable, it breaks you open more than I could possibly explain. And for those who have travelled this journey, you know what I mean Recently, I was asked about my journey, and I found it hard to put into words. So, as I often do, when I need to reflect, I immerce myself in loving nature, and into the thoughts deeply woven through my not so distant memories. I recalled the early days of diagnosis, and that deep realization that things had changed. It could not be undone. The knowing that there was no going back, only onward into something unknown. A primal fear awakened that I hadn't known before. And as the vision unfolded I came to this, receiving a life-threatening diagnosis can be the biggest challenge we may faced so far in life, and we may not feel prepared. And it may also be a buffer or a stepping-stone to prepare us for death itself. In this vision, we were at the base camp of Mount Everest. There were others there, but Willis and I stood alone. We were about to set out on a journey we never asked for. That we never desired. It is at this point we begin the trek, because it is the only option available. If he is to survive we must reach the peak, go over the top. Hand in hand, we look up and then our eyes meet. That deep knowing passed between our souls. It seems insurmountable, wind, snow, treacherous, overwhelming and yet we are determined. And then we look down, each step must be perfectly placed, careful not to fall, and we realize we are in bare feet. The journey was painful, ravenging his body until he could not go on. Willis never reached the peak with his physical body, he transitioned to his light body, on June 5, 2021. And I truly and deeply know that his journey continues to explore new heights of being. But at that point, I was clinging to the mountain engulfed in a blizzard. The pass obscured and slippery, ice shattered around me, an avalanche of emotion knocked me off my feet, burying me under its weight, chilling me to the bone, biting into my already raw self. At this point I felt desperate. There was a stark moment in time when I became aware that my part of this journey did not simply dissolve here. I could not simply turn around, pack up and say I don't want to play this game anymore. My very survival depending on my ability to reach the peak too. I needed to gather the last of my strength and keep moving upward. And I knew I needed help. For everyone that threw me a lifeline, I thank you. And now I am ready to throw a life line to the ones that are still climbing. So, this is me today, it's time for me to pay it forward. From the top of the mountain, a little weary but strong, resilient, and enjoying the view. I am lowering a strong and safe rope for you or someone you know who is grieving. New Years is a time to stop and reflect on the past. Hillary Swank in the movie, New Years Eve, reminds us that possibly, we get another chance to do more, love more, let go of what was and embrace what is or what will be. New Years is often thought of as a celebration. I could not bear to watch the clock strike midnight, although there is so much about last year that was beautiful and some parts that I would like to leave behind, still others I want desperately to hold onto, even though it haunts me. I often find myself deep in reflection. Pondering the purpose in life itself. I have found spiritual growth assists me to bridge myself, the past and the future. I have found comfort. Mother Teresa once said, we suffer because we have forgotten our connection. And I agree, because I have found that a spiritual connection makes me feel more connected to everything, there is a comfort knowing that there is a bigger meaning in life. But that doesn't ease how terribly painful it is at times. I still hurt. I did managed to put up a tree but cried as I placed each ball. It was a day of deep mourning. I felt like I needed to step into the experience in order to process my loss, and it resulted in a beautiful tree that I enjoyed for the remainder of the year. Why can it be so hard? My grief can feel like a narrow and challenging passage that wedges against my chest so hard until I squeeze through, it can take much energy and great effort. I have found some parts of this grief passage to be very steep and I at times, I feel like I'm hanging on by a thread, but then, just when it feels to much, there is grace. Grace can appear in many ways, a friend calls, a message within a movie or a book, something that resonates provides even the narrowest of plateaus where I can take a full breath. It feels so good to simply breath. And so make it a practice to draw my attention towards breath, I engage in meditation, a practice that helps me to ground my energy. In some ways, I saw my own journey in a documentary I just watched, called "The Dawn Wall". If you are going through something tough, then I encourage you to watch. Because this true life story is inspiring. We know that resilience rises out of adversity and this true-life story has much to inspire us all. Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgenson literally scale the face of a 3000-foot granite face of El Captain, in Yosemite National Park. But it was a life-threatening experience that came before that gave Tommy his grit. There is a point where the journey could end, when Kevin struggles day after day, failing to cling to the face of a lateral vein midway up the face. From 2000-feet he fails and falls through space, dangling by a thread. You just watch it again and again, time after time. Exhausted, beaten-up, and deflated he reaches a point where he doubts his ability to go on. But he does... and his "heart" to overcome is inspiring, because at times I feel like I am on a precipice and that I might fall. And I too need to draw on something deeper within me to rise above my pain. And I understand that I am not the only one, I hope that by sharing I am healing myself while supporting someone else who hurts. And there is a powerful truth that that I want to share. This has helped me rise above my grief, and that thing is, finding a connection to something more. SPIRITUAL GROWTH In the past 6-months I have found building an inner bridge of spirituality to be one key to my wellbeing. Some say spirituality is a psychological evolutionary necessity. A great example would be AA. Spiritual connection within this 12-step process has helped more people overcome addiction than any other. The idea of psychological evolution isn't news. If you want to, take a look at Maslow's, I prefer the breakdown in the Barrett Institute, but both lead us upward, into spiritual realms. The stepping-stones to psychological growth are so visible in children, yet as we get older, possibly we forget, that our mind and its' needs are still evolving. We see ourselves repeat, repeat, repeat, witness so clearly and yet clarity yields and many times we fail to connect what is happening as the demand of thy self for evolutionary growth. At midlife we see it again, some call it a mid-life crisis. What if it is something more... But how can I relate psychological evolution to personal growth gained through the experience of losing someone I love so deeply. I remember long ago learning that the death of pets is an invaluable stepping stone to the death of a grandparent, a parent, a friend, family member, spouse and ultimately ourself. That we practice the grief several times, to prepare ourselves for the ultimate death of our very being. As I supported Willis move towards the end of his life, I witnessed his process and him coming to terms with his death. At many times it felt surreal to him, and yet he reached a point where he was at peace. He had accepted death, not given up, but surrendered to the pain and the loss of his physical body, and he GLOWED. He looked luminous. How is that possible? I wondered if he was recovering, but then a young friend allowed me to hear something I needed to hear. Chris came to visit, after he left, he texted me. He mentioned how Willis looked radiant. He said Willis's soul was excited. He went onto say that he first recognized soul excitement when his sister was pregnant. She also glowed. And we often see this in pregnant women. So radiant. But it was the first time I would think of this as "Soul Excitement" Could it be possible that his soul was excited? Now, I think maybe it is true. As part of my journey, I was given a book called SIGNS, by Laura Lynne Jackson. It is fascinating research. If you have lost someone, and you are searching, I recommend it for you. Within the book another was mentioned. It is called the Souls Journey, by Michael Newton PHd What I know for sure is no one can do the work for us, but there are tools that gave me tremendous relief. Through my experience I recognized how little I knew about losing a spouse. I recall myself engaging with friends and family's grief without truly understanding the depth of this process. I am sorry about that. I just didn't know.... There are many things that we just need to experience before we understand. We can't read it in a book or watch a movie and truly "get it". I was sitting with my grandies yesterday watching "People are Amazing". It is a collection of hundreds of mini clips of humans doing amazing things. People that have put in those 10000 hours and became masters at something. I sat there and listened to my 5-year-old grand daughter repeated say, I could do that, I could definitely do that, I could do that and I felt inspired by her youth and infinite belief in herself. But in saying that, the wise older self knows that doing something takes the doing. We must do, to become something more. Personal Growth is just that, it's personal and it takes the doing. The French have a saying; You can never escape life, ever. But I also believe that there is a difference in perspective that changes the outcome. So, I ask you, because Einstein once asked, do you believe the universe is a friendly place? And I still think this is a powerful ask. Do I believe the universe is friendly? What is your answer? I think your answer and mine holds one key to how we approach life, death, and the journey between. Because even though we can not control everything about our life experience there are things we have absolute control over. It is the tough things that push us to go beyond where we are right then. Adversity asks us to get back on the wall, to do it and "glow." My answer was YES! I believe the universe is friendly. My short list of these things, and please add in your own are: Love Forgiveness Authenticity Generosity Gratitude Truth Trust Acceptance Humility Kindness In closing, rituals are an integral to healing, writing about my experience is a ritual that I have found cathartic. I hope you feel my writing is not all about death and mourning, but about life and living and celebrating all of it. Stay well out there, xoxo Adele Anderson If you would like a session for yourself or a friend or family member, please connect.

    One Breath at a Time

A mountaineer once said, you can climb any mountain, if you simply take one short upward step at a time. Possibly, we can think about life as, one breath at a time. And we can get through anything. Seems simple enough but being awareness of breath may be the most unconscious and wonderous thing available to us. This year has challenged me in so many ways. Reconciling the loss in my life, feeling emotionally vulnerable and often raw. But within the adversity of grief, I find I have become more of myself than ever before. I have allowed fear of judgement to fall away. I have accepted my purpose and feel more passionate than ever. And with this new awakening, I wonder at times if I have been sleeping. Because at times, it feels like I am stepping through a cobweb vail into something more than I was before. I have become aware of my awareness. For the past 180 days, there have been times when I have hunkered down. Irrational but not uncommon, but possibly allowing the world to pass around me, made it seem like reality wasn't real. Because it still feels surreal. But hunkered felt compressed, limited, and restricting. That is a form of struggle. And yet, huddling close to home, as my universe narrowed, I also got many things accomplished a lot of things at home, that needed to be done, and that was liberating. I embraced and completed more unknowns, in the past 6 months, than I thought possible. But during the huddle, I also allowed myself extensive time to explore my inner world of experience, seeking awareness in both limitation and limitlessness. In doing that, I have witnessed and lived each focus I held, on the good days and the difficult. And my awareness of how I am being, and what that is creating, is like watching seasons change. Nature gives us all the answers. The letting go, the ability to bend in a storm, and the rebirth and new growth we know will arrive. These things I am aware of.. But this morning meditation awoke something new, of awareness. As we may already know, consciousness has no location within our body, it has no shape and is not found or restricted by space or time. It is out there! Look up! What I wasn't aware of, is that it is said that awareness is considered outside of and beyond even consciousness. Through my work I understood that awareness initiates neuroplasticity, but this new awakening gave an interpretation of why that may be. Dr. David R Hawkings went on to say, that awareness could be considered part of the Akasha or the energy that connects everything within the universe. Some call it the glue of the universe. Maybe you have heard the space between the space, or the god particle or even some say, God. Pure infinite energy. Imagine that!  If that is not mind blowing enough, just allow your mind (without judgement) to consider being connected to this “glue” The energy that connect all things and is aware And then take it a step further, it is accessible and connected to you. The process of the human experience appears like a downloading hierarchy: awareness to consciousness to mind to sensation to body. Neuroscience first became aware of this belief by observing what happens when someone is put under anesthetic. The body and mind lose awareness and is not conscious of itself. But if that person was to die.... and are then revived, about 17% of those patients may recall their NDE experience, or Near-Death Experience. Because of these NDE stories, we know that awareness and consciousness exist even while the body has no vital signs, it is medically dead. So, for me, the bigger question then arises. If awareness is key, what is the consequence when I find myself unaware. So many times, I have heard myself or others say; I wasn't aware of that! And if I am unaware, what happens within my mind, body and therefore my unfolding life experience. In other words, if the body has no ability to be aware of itself when anesthetized, what is my experience is I am unaware or unconscious in other ways! It appears that without awareness of our self in the truest sense of the word, we could limit ourselves and our life experience. So, this is my muse for the day and, if the desire to explore your "U-niverse", then settle in. Or is you want a personalized session, connect with me. Here is today's process: Find a comfortable place to sit and relax where you are not going to be disturbed for the next 10 minutes. (And never enter this state of breath, when operating any moving machinery) Begin by drawing your attention towards your breath Then Simply breath With each breath, slow the cycle of breath You can do this by counting as you inhale 12345 Hold Exhale 54321 And repeat for 5 cycles You should notice yourself relaxed now NOTE: Neuroscientific ally speaking, you have now, through slowing your breath, entered a different brain wave, that is more receptive to awareness. Theda brainwave is natural. Kids are in Theda, the genius brainwave, and we enter Theda as we fall off to or wake from sleep. This is where great ideas are born. So back to breath Next Take an internal imaginary scan And if you like a metaphor: Picture yourself holding an large bright white feather, and slowly move it downward through your body Scan from the top of your head downward If you notice a sensation, then pause Be curious if you then labeled it Take a few breaths to explore the sensation rather than the label Breath through the sensation, until the sensation dissolves Or approach it in a deeper manner Let go of resisting the sensation Describe this sensation through your senses Note location, shape, color, textures, vibrations, movement, sound, taste, odors And just stay with it Without resistance or wanting to change anything, simply breath If another thought arises from this exploration, you can choose to explore them through this process. Or to set it aside. The mind will naturally travel, simple bring your focus back to your task As you allow yourself to be, you may notice innate wisdom arise Possibly solutions to concerns An epiphany Thank your “U”niverse for the knowledge Continue to move downward through your body Breathing through and intentionally relaxing each part as your pass through You should have entered a deep sense of relaxation as you step downward through your body Neck Downward shoulder Downward chest Down into the lungs and respiratory Down into heart and circulation Downward through abdomen, reproductive organs, pelvis and extremities When you've moved down through all parts, organs and systems, move your focus below your feet. Now imagine roots (like a tree) beginning to grow from the souls of your feet These roots will connect deep within the earth. Once deeply grounded to the earth, slide your attention upward. Above yourself, to seek your consciousness And simply breath Then, ask your consciousness to connect to your awareness Now, imagine you are completely tuned in and connected to the U of the universe. Take five more deep breaths and allow peace and calm to be you I hope you enjoyed today's meditation: if you would like to connect: yes@lifecoachadele.com web: lifecoachadele.com stay well out there, Adele

We may not always get what we want

My suitcase was packed, tickets, and plans carefully laid in place. I had said from the get-go that I was not doing Christmas. Last year, Christmas was painful enough, wondering if it would be our last, and still not believing that was even possible. But lasts often lead to firsts. I desperately wanted to escape the on slot of emotions that could arise from decorating the house and celebrating the holiday season. As the holidays were arriving quickly, a stream of rocky emotions did to. I thought by leaving my life behind… but is that even possible? I cried when I booked my solo flights, accommodation for 1. I noticed that I thought about my bookings differently, daytime arrivals, prearranging the different legs of my journey, with safety as a consideration. I never recalled considering that in the past, with my extra-large husband by my side. As I opened the suitcases, two round black neck supports in zippered bags stared back at me, stopped me in my tracks. Shaking my head in disbelief that the smallest of things can bring me to my knees. Like cold water hitting me in the face, reminding me that my life had changed. But still I pushed forward, thinking that a change of location and the memory of wintertime away from home would help me feel normal. It had been a remarkably wet fall, the world seemed to be crying at my side, and I could hear Willis in my mind; pleading with me to lean on the side of joy. I was looking forward to feeling the heat of sunshine on my face. And Helen Keller's quote, if you face towards the sun, you will never see the shadows. But truly, would exchanging grey for sunny skies somehow make me forget my new normal? But some things still do.. For the past 180 days I have continued our morning ritual of a slow start. As I begin to make my coffee, I often tuned into some sort of personal development audio, massaging my mind and fueling my own transformation, by set my intention for the day. To lean on the side of joy.. Today, I was listening to The Eye of the Eye, Dr. David R Hawkings. A favorite of mine and today the message was stark. How life gives us what we need, todays audio; drastic life experiences, the loss of a spouse or a child and how some recover themselves and others do not. We don't always get what we want, we get what we need.. thank you, universe. As the messenger dropped deep into the philosophy, psychology, and metaphysics of emotion; the body has no understanding of itself, rather it experiences sensations. But sensations have no awareness of itself, it requires the mind, yet the mind has no knowledge of itself, it requires something beyond itself, called consciousness. Consciousness can be defined a few ways: the mind having awareness of itself and the world. Or awareness of its perception of itself or something. The idea of this is like any letting go technique, is based on disassociating from labels. There are several methods I use to help my clients free up the incarcerated energy of emotional pain. But, whenever there is a label, we accept that this is us, and we FEEL it, live it, and embody it. So how do we begin? By identifying the label. I notice a feeling of anxiety. Rather than I am anxious. You can imagine yourself now, saying each of these examples and notice how you feel. Then bring your consciousness towards the sensation, location, and then, into feeling. From there we enter the subconscious brains download of the emotion. Our brain downloads all experiences from sensory data. So, imagine closing your eyes and getting a birds-eye view inside you minds eye and deep into your subconscious. By being curious about the shape, color, texture, size, weight, sound, taste, and smell of that, you may tune into it. And then you have an opportunity to explore it further, like a author of your greatest work, flow into the sub-modalities or a deeper description of each sensory description. By fully exploring how mind understands the label, we have an opportunity to free it. Psychologically, it is a double disassociation that is also a natural coping mechanism that help us cope naturally. The next step requires perseverance. Being is a double disassociation, consider you are enveloped in a protective embrace. Because you are not engaged with an event or even an emotion. You are simply engaged in thinking about a color, a shape, sensation, taste, and smell. And if you still feel sensitive, possibly you would want a facilitator to help you. But if you are feeling ok, then gently, at your own pace and comfort, continue onward and inward, just holding the complete picture in mind as you breath. By staying with it, the mind releases the tension, and it dissolves. What I feel after? Relief. The sensation of peace and calm fills my senses. Like this exercise in letting go, it requires us to be present in our experience. There is no escaping reality of what is. But, staying in the moment and with the sensory expression of the emotion, it allows the mind to let it gooooooo I know now, that by running to Mexico, I could change my surrounding for a period. But we all know, that wherever we go there we are. And I could push off healing for another year, but why would I want to push a “first and the pain of it” into another year. I know through experience, that nothing changes unless I change… and that means growth. And so, I made the choice, with the updated travel advisory, not to travel, yet. The gift in today's experience? That life usually gives us what we need, not what we want. And possibly, to embrace life fully present, as it is. Both the happy and the sad. I truly believe that we were not meant to live with emotional pain, it's just that we haven't been taught HOW to let go. But in letting go, we not only grow, but we free up all that locked energy and make it available for us to express and live the life fully in joy. Today, I choose to remain in place and experience life in a new way. It will be different for sure, not alone, I will be surrounded by friends and family. I'm sure there will be some tears served for dinner, along with some laughs, hugs, and a whole lot of memories. Eric Clapton song tears in heaven often could make me cry. I used to love the melody as Garth Brooks sang; I could have missed the pain, but then I would have had to miss the dance. We can touch the surface of raw emotion, watching a show, listening to lyrics, but nothing prepared us for the actual pain of losing a person we love. Grief is not a problem to be solved, comparable to another's grief, a disorder to overcome, or a sign of weakness, but I agree with the many quotes that say, it may be the price we pay for love. And it is worth it a million times over. Would I have exchanged the last 30 years of my life and all my experiences so that I could avoid this experience. NEVER. The last 30 years was a gift that made my life rich and full and molded me into the person I am. Grief maybe the one humanity we all share, but it is so unique to each of us, BECAUSE it IS soooo completely personal. And so, what can we do? We can grieve. As I write this, with tears streaming down my face, I know that I am still grieving. But it will not be for the entire day, I will smile, laugh, engage, be productive, love. And in between I may grieve for a few minutes, as I continue to live my life. I believe, that grieving for a period, is necessary and healthy. It allows us time to get over the shock of loss, to surrender to our experience. Feel the pain, release the intensity of the feeling and sometimes tears help, it is like my emotions fills me up like the river breaching a dyke, my emotions overflows out of my eyes. I recognize I need my rest. I make a point to get to bed at a decent time because grief is exhausting. And a little each day I can feel myself grow peel off a layer of grief, revealing a new version of previous self. Like polishing a stone.. Eventually, I hope to find the rough edges of the early stages of grief polished smooth. My grief is not meant to break me, but it can teach me, offer me an opportunity to grow through this experience. I believe my grief can become a bridge of hope, enhance my empathy, compassion, ability to support the ones that enter this journey. Beyond the firsts, there will be other dates, birthdays, season, events that rebirth these raw emotions, and it is ok. Like the mini tremors that release the pressure off a tectonic plate, it is a natural release that may be needed. In saying that, long standing grief can become detrimental to our health. It can hurt us, weaken our immune response, cause us to be susceptible to disease. And if this is the case for you then, maybe it's time… to reach out for support, get some tool to ease suffering and raise our ability to cope and to actually feel happy. It's not wrong to want to feel happy or to be happy. As you know, I am opening my thinking to many practices that I had little or no knowledge of. To help myself rebalance, grow and feel not just relief but to laugh again. I know willis would want me to “lean into joy”. Many of us, understand the energetics of the universe. The vibration of all things, so what if.. we could still be a presence? Still connect in love and joy? What if, we can't explain everything in life or the universe, I ask you to just let yourself be and ask yourself what if.. In one of my spiritual sessions, I was told that my laughter fills him up, that my joy is his joy… so, what if.. That it's ok to lean on the side of joy… and what if? The other night I had this dream, I saw myself ascending upward. I was enveloped in these white wings protecting my body as I rose upward towards the stars. And then this message came through, I needed to let go… And so I did, let go. And these big beautiful supportive wings unfolded and released me, then ascended high into the sky. They became this bight star, that burst into a beautiful shower of light that rained down on me in such love and abundance, that I knew absolutely, that letting go only made room for more love, that nothing was lost or ever could be. What I do accept, is that I don't know everything. That there is so much of the universe is still a mystery and that's ok. That we are only on this earth for a short period of time to experience life fully. And to grieve, may be to experience one of our deepest emotions, and so it too, must be part of this amazing life. And even through my grief, I accept with absoluteness, the love I experienced, was a million times worth it. Stay well out there. Have you ever heard of "Earthing". The simple act of walking barefoot on the earth, drawing natural energies from making direct contact with the earths polarity. I had but didn't really pay too much attention to this idea, until I watched a documentary call "Earthing". I like when things make sense. We all have this inner knowing that can often be discounted. The intelligence of our gut instinct, our heart felt knowing of truth. This was one of those instinctual knowing for me, as I watch this documentary. And then I pondered, could Earthing play an important role in our health and wellbeing? Possibly! I encourage you to watch it! Earthing is a documentary that offers us insight into being "grounded". I think you already know so I don't have to tell you about electrical impulses of our body. Ancient Chinese script reveals the use of acupuncture and meridians in the Huandgi dynasty 2500 BC but it can be referenced even earlier, 5-6000 BC. Things that stand the test of time are rare and even more rare when those ideas and skills have been accepted and used both in eastern and in western medicine today. Acupuncture is applied along, what is called meridians. When I taught Thai Massage decades ago, I liked to reference meridians as our nervous system, that run from our brain stem through our spinal column and connecting organs and systems throughout our mind and body. Why I am bringing this up is that we understand that our nervous system functions as electrical impulses. Our nervous system is in effect our electrical wiring. If you were a contractor, an electrician, or someone that worked in and around electricity, like someone who installs cable or telephone lines, grounding electricity would be understood. And this takes me back to the documentary mentioned, Earthing. Clint Ober was a unique thinker. He worked installing telephone lines, and then had a thought. If telephone lines or cable lines were not grounded before entering a house, equipment inside the home didn't work very well, static, and poor signals resulted. So, he began wondering about human beings. He recalled a childhood memory where a child he knew had been ill, and nothing medically was helping this child. The child was native. This sick child was brought home, and one of the elders began to dig a pit in the earth, filling it was leaves to create a soft bed. They laid the child in the dug-out space and sat with her for comfort. Built fires for warmth, and there the child lay. I'm not certain the length of time, the child laid in this sacred hole, but every day, her vitality returned, and one day she simply got up and was well. He then recalled another moment, on entering a native teepee, she was told to remove his shoes, that they would make him sick. Decades later, he found himself severely ill, hospitalized, and close to death. He was told to go home and put his affairs in order.  But what he did instead, he too off his shoes.. We may be familiar with the alkalinity of our body's; science says a slightly alkaline body is best to maintain good health. We understand negative ions around water, why it makes us feel better when we are close to water. So, what about our body's polarity? Through science we recognize that Mother Earth has a negative polarity. The atmosphere has a positive charge. The energizer and releaser of these charges is lightening! I found this fascinating! As kids we run outside in bare feet, but when is the last time we did this as adults? Gardeners will attest to a feeling of wellbeing when their hands are in the dirt. Could this be that it is because we are gaining the grounding effect that is so necessary for our wellness? I think now that this is true. I encourage you to watch the movie, and then consider a shift. I realize it is cold out there right now, but there are other things that we can do to balance our internal makeup. And then when temperatures permit, let's get out there and get dirty! Over the past months of becoming a widow, I have expanded into many new ways of thinking about health and wellbeing. Natural methods to balance body, mind, and soul, so that I feel better. This is my hope for you too. Stay well out there. Xoxo Adele. And, if you would like to connect: yes@lifecoachadele.com

Death may force us to face our deepest regrets

Death tunes us into the times we wish we would have better. Perceived or otherwise, death encourages us to make amends. It is a time we reconcile ourselves. I witnessed this as my husband died, he had the need to make amends. I recall the day he apologized for not being "onboard" early in our relationship. He felt he had wasted so much time and cause both of us grief. Things that I thought I had put behind me decades ago, as I hadn't thought about it for years. But there it was, pain. He never wanted to remarry, and so he resisted the love that grew out of our relationship. He broke not one but two wedding dates., and I thought it was all in the past, until he felt the need to face his regrets. I realized then, I had an unresolved emotion in my system, I made a note to release it later that day. Why would I waste any of my energy on the past. when there was so little of the life we shared left. In that moment, I simply stroked his cheek, nodding my head and with tears running down my face, in mutual understanding. There had been pain that needed to be reconciled, and an apology was both given and received.  There were other regrets as well. For decades, we both had worked so hard, and we're just on the cusp on having more leisure time. I bet we all have heard the adage, no one wishes they would have worked harder. And so, it was true, he regretted not taking more time, for friends, family. It is the humanities we regret. Bit still, he regretted leaving things for me to finalize. When I investigated regrets, as with near death experiences, the review is on humanity. Not on the size of our house or how much money or investments we have in place. It is about How we lived our life.  The top 10 things that people regret? Trusting their own wisdom, to not worry, to love more, did things that made them happier, staying too long in a job they disliked, or not pursuing their dreams, holding a grudge. And so we witness, the humanness of life and death ad what we can learn from both.  I listened to a documentary called Inner World, Outer World and I found it fascinating and I would recommend. But one thing that stuck in my mind was a quote of a dying man to hhis wife. Lean closer my dear, I have something you need to know, and he whispered in her ear; Remember, when you wake in the morning and lift your head from your pillow, you have everything you need.  Stay well out there, Website Life Coach Adele Connect with Adele

Anticipatory Grief defines many types of loss

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 17, 2021 14:33

The time before death is unique. So many torrential emotions flooded my mind as I traversed the biggest loss I had ever experienced, the loss of my life partner and husband Willis. It took a short 9 months for him to travel the path from seemingly healthy persons with a full life, filled with hopes and dreams to death. Before this experience, I had experienced the loss of business enterprises, a divorce and relationships, friendships, identities, and dreams. Each one of them brought a period of challenge, emotional pain, intense learning, and the opportunity for personal growth. But that's the philosophical view, during this period I experienced anger, frustration, resentment, guilt, helplessness, confusion, self-doubt, insecurity, and overwhelm, to name a few. In my work, I understand that grief is one of five emotions that get stuck in our consciousness. The others are hurt, sadness, anger, fear and guilt. And you may notice how they overlap? And it is said that all other complex emotions fold inside these five. I notice that many people grieve but may possibly not even understand that they are grieving. People that leave the workforce and had a strong identity attached to their role. The “I am” I am a CEO, I am an engineer, I am representing identity and when change happens, we could grieve the loss of identity, and wonder who am I now, without the title? In divorce, we may have many overlapping emotions mixed with grief, anger, hurt, sadness, guilt, along with loss of identity, a name, security, hopes and dreams. The loss can be enormous and can interfere with future happiness if left unattended. The time before death offers us an opportunity to let go of resentment, to reconcile differences and to forgive. To demonstrate and open oneself up to unconditional love, to have empathy and compassion as you learn to say good-bye and gain closure. This period can help us cope for the grief that will follow. There is grace, knowing that someone you love is dying, you get time to express and share deeply, where an accident may not offer friends and family this time. Neither one may shorten the process of grief, but I have found things that do. I struggled, anxious feelings in my stomach were common. Sleepless nights followed by tearful days, exhaustion and feeling bad about it. Time where energy lagged, where confusion and loss of my ability to make decisions was normal. But this was me, I could only imagine how he was coping, losing his life. For both of us, I noticed other emotions along with sadness and tears. Questioning things we knew so little about and had never really spent much time trying to understand. But now we talked about it. We talked about it all. What it would mean to die. If there was fear of death, feeling crappy all the time and possibly irritability, loneliness. I remember feelings of guilt afterward he died. I wondered if we should have had one more test, done one more therapy, did I do everything possible? And I worried about afterwards. What happens then? After his body was taken away, and it wasn't graceful. Two people appeared at the bedside and our daughter and me took his arms, and they took his feet. And he was heavy, and it was awkward and horribly un-graceful, and we hefted his body only a gurney. These are the things I recall and also grieve. There are things that helped. Acceptance of what was happening and that we had no ability to change. What we could have control over was our emotions and humanity. I encourage you to stay in this space, gratitude, compassion, empathy, love. Talk about the future: The plan you have moving forward. Plans you had together that you will make sure to experience in the future. Lean into the joy that you can share that experience now and in the future. Have a deep conversation about death, your loved one is also processing their loss. If this is too painful then find someone that you can both talk to. Reframe as many feelings as you can, find the positive. For example: Yes, as they are dying, and it is in many cases very painful. Death can offer a relief from the pain, they will be free of pain, no longer suffering. There may be a period of shock, at the beginning of diagnosis, setting yourself up for coping begins with grounding. Grounding is a process of balancing yourself. It will bring stability and calm to all aspects of your being. Grounding can be reached through breath and visualization. Find a comfortable place to sit and relax, where you know you are not going to be disturbed for 10 minutes. Begin by focussing your attention on your breath and move through a sensory exploration of breath. IE: what it looks like to breath, what it sounds like to breath, feels like to breath. Lengthen the time it takes to inhale and exhale. Count 1-2-3-4 on the inhale and by closing your mouth and exhaling through your lips you can slow your breath out 4-3-2-1. Then lengthen both inhale and exhale time. Next visualize. Imagine a bright white beam of light starting 18 inches above your crown and directed downward through the center of your body and exiting through the souls of your feet, then expand each end, upward to the heavens and downward into the earth. The act of balancing our body, mind and soul through grounding, has scientific benefits for more than our mood. It has been shown to decrease stress and therefore inflammation and pain. The simple act of grounding can improve cardiovascular health, immune function and help repair musculature and chronic pain, anxiety, depression and improve your sleep! There are other ways to feel grounded, walking in the forest, and bare feet is even better. Plant your feet on the earth. Swimming in the ocean or a lake, sitting on the sand can also help. Of course using all your common sense and keeping yourself safe. There are many more things that I did to bring myself back into a state of peace and calm and the last one I will share today is to stay in gratitude. There are so many things that I am grateful for and I keep my focus on these, and so my mind and my experience reflects my focus. If you are experiencing anticipatory grief, I am here to support you and your loved ones. Connect with me here or ask me about an upcoming retreat. Are we just chasing a ghost?

Death occurs when the heart stops and breathing ceases and while the brain appears not to be functioning, people who have had an NDE or near-death experience; a lucid structured process with greater consciousness and awareness of themselves in the humanities. About 17% of people who died while in care experienced a review of their life through the lens of humanity, dignity, kindness and compassion. A judgement of the material things didn't seem to appear, but what was consistent was their evaluation of their ontology. The beingness of being human. When I began to drown in that capsized plane, I felt my body and consciousness separate. Time did not exist, but what did exist was a profound sense of well-beng and unconditional love. It was profound experience that has culminated in a 30-year quest of science and spirit to understand my experience of life beyond death. During this time, I interviewed many people that had NDE's and our experiences had so many similarities. The calm, secure feels, bright light, fields of wildflowers and an overwhelming feeling of unconditional love.  I am not afraid to die. None of this helped me watch my soul mate being devoured by cancer. Or watch his death, the pain of separation and a reality of a future without him. But as Dr. Sam Parnia of Resuscitation Research says, "death is not absolute" Not everything can be understood by science. For centuries man has explored the knowledge frontier, continents, mountains and ocean trenches, upward through the sky and into the universe beyond. And there seems nothing controversial about it. Yet, exploring the outer limits of our inner experience draws skepticism. When through science we already know that what was accepted yesterday as truth does not always stand the test of time, and yet our beliefs become embedded deep within our psyche. Until someone we love dies. Then our heart, mind, and soul grasps at what seems beyond our reach. Understanding, are they ok? Are we OK? How will I know.. And yet there are things we do know. Philosopher Joseph Levine called it a explanatory gap. Consciousness according to Professor David Chalmers; "the number one unanswered scientific challenge of our time." He goes on to say that consciousness may not be explainable in the same way that space and time are not explainable. We study the laws that govern them rather than space or time itself. Why? He goes on, that consciousness may be a fundamental building block of the nature. So are we chasing ghosts? Or are the ones we love a part of the mysteries of consciousness. For centuries human-kind has turned away from paranormal studies, intuition, mediumship, clairvoyance. And I did too. It wasn't until my early 20's that I becan to explore things that couldn't necessarily be explained. And some of it frightened me and I turned away. But after Willis died, I had a deep need to connect with him, and I did. I connected and set up an appointment for an Akashik Record reading. I knew nothing much about it, but I had met the lady who would read for me. This one reading was beyond my expectations. This person knew very little of me and certainly had no knowledge of my relationship with my husband. But, she was able to offer me information that was so uniquely personal, that I needed to understand more. Even more, I had a complete sense of calm afterwards. My believing became knowing at a deep level. I accepted my reality, knowing that there is more to understand about life and life after death. Four months into widowhood, I have transitioned from deep and painful grief into feeling calm and at peace. I understand my journey is just that, a journey. I feel compelled to help others reach this state of comfort and relief, and so I am reaching out to you again today in love and with empathy for those who grieve. I invite you to join me for a conversation to allow yourself grace and accept a inner feeling of peace and calm again. I have discovered a deeply rewarding and healing mechanism in spiritual growth through grief. We can talk about upcoming retreats, "Soul"utions, and Love and Above. I was never really good at saying goodbye. In Death, is it good-bye or until we meet again? There is nothing kind about cancer. The diagnosis is painful and brings up many questions and not a lot of answers. As life swings in the balance, the looming potential of death hangs heavily. And then there is the final good-bye. In the 10 months, from diagnosis to death, we spend hours talking about life and its mysteries. I wasn't ready on so many levels. He was my soulmate and a life without him, was unthinkable. His treatment meant painfully long weeks in bed, and so we made use of this time. When he was well enough, we talking endlessly about some of life's regrets and triumphs, about love and family, memories. And we did more sitting around in the last months of his life than we had done in a lifetime. And it was an endless reminder of what was coming. Anxiety was constant, in the pit of my stomach, waking with it gnawing at me, it took conscious effort to ease the discomfort in my body and mind and soul. Even though I had experienced an NDE, which had changed my belief in life after death. It didn't make it any easier to let go. I know now that death challenges our beliefs. There is a difference between believing and knowing that often conflict. I discovered he also believed in life after death, and so I asked him to give me a sign. He said he would come back as a red winged blackbird, which was he favourite bird as a child. I asked how will I know? I asked, will you rest on my outstretched palm, will you land of my shoulder or sit on the coffee table, how will I know. And he simply said, that I would know.. When he died, I was devastated and those first few days I wandered around the house in a daze. I called out to the sky, send me a sign. I went down to our lake, and I waited for the redwing blackbird to approach. But none of them did. I became more desperate every day. I held my face and hands to the sky and begged for him to send me a sign. A few minutes later, the phone rang and a voice came through, that said, your chickens are here.. Willis had always wanted chickens, but we had ordered them so many months before, I had completely forgotten. So yes, there is humor, and laughter and hope and love, and there are signs, if we take the time. And there were those days when I struggled, but I know it is not the way forward. My background in NLP was an asset for sure, I had tools to remove anxiety. I created meditations for his and mine. Understanding how to engage with our mind, to stay in the present in order to cope effectively was essential. Because there was so much to do. Being in service, or caring for a sick loved one, can be both deeply rewarding but also exhausting. I could hear my own warning to clients, to fill my tank. Think of ourselves as a lawn mower, you will also run out of gas, so be mindful of your needs. Be mindful of your energy, stress, mindset and fill your self up. A walk in nature, any single minded act: knitting, fishing, cards, reading, journaling, physical activity, cooking, you name it. If it creates an externa focus, it is meditation and it does wonders. Caregiving demanded so much on so many levels, I would wake up and go to sleep exhausted. The emotional toll could be devastating if you allowed yourself to drop into that pit. And so I made a pack with myself and with you….. to take time each day, to reach out to try to normalize some of our daily routines, in small doses bring in a routine. Take the time but be mindful of your moods and reach out. You will be missing human touch, reach out, think of a retreat which will nourish your soul. Connect with me to find out more. Why can it last so long? Why do some people seem to recover, and others struggle? Some stay sad, others angry, others recover, and thrive, but for those who don't, that is a regret. Possibly they have become their grief. In the beginning, it can feel so overwhelming, that daily functioning is a struggle. The couple weeks after my husband died, I was in shock. By the end of the 2nd month, I thought I was doing ok. But in my third month, the reality of forever gripped my throat so fiercely, there was no more escaping reality, I bottomed out. I recall, the heaviness as I woke, massive hot tears roll endlessly from morning till night. My body racked with sobs, shaking and drained. That day lasted most of a week. I worked my “program." I forced myself to get out of bed, shower, get dressed. It took effort. Between waves of grief, I would intentionally focus on “identifying”. This simple action shifts the brain from the emotional center to the neocortex, so as not to “feel” so intensely. I know the mind hacks. I would recite the alphabet backwards, dominating my brain power, thus easing the intensity of grief. FYI, Random numbers work well too. I employed all the tools of my trade, and I am grateful for the work that came before. Reframing did wonders to shift my perception. Moments of relief lengthened. I haven't returned to that place and I'm not taking that lightly. I work on myself daily so that I never will feel that depth of despair again. Inside that well, the quiet was deafening, it was hard to breath, disbelief horrifying, gut-wrenching anxiety, sleepless yet exhausted, the mind-numbing reality. I had never experienced such all encompassing emotion. And in some way, maybe there is a need to feel the despair, but careful not to get trapped there. I know it was painful for friends and family to watch, to be there. And I was grateful for the support, especially on those breakdown days. Even though I knew they hurt, I didn't have to many reserves to help them yet. It was just too much. You will know that everyone who loves us will have suggestions; they can be both helpful and unintentionally unhelpful. Still, sharing of time and heart is never wrong. I once heard that there are 12 million widows on the planet at any one time, and yet it feels like we are the only one that has experienced a loss so deep, it has stretched me to learn more and to step into helping others recover. The weeks and months following the death of my husband Willis I have reached out to others who are grieving. I want you to feel comforted, that there are proven tools and processes to ease your pain, to get you back into your life, finding joy, free from anxiety. Why is it so hard to talk about death and dying

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 2, 2021 11:47

Let's face the fact, we are all going to die at some point. We face death of the people we love, but how often do we talk about it? Surrendering to what is, takes courage. The reality of death, we can not change. At times it can be deeply painful. It may be easier for us to turn away from our pain, locking it away for a while. The loss of a spouse or a child, may be one of these times, that we fail to help our self. Possibly when we feel we must care for others. Fundamentally this may seem essential, and in certain cases, even true. I recall working with a lovely woman who had suffered the loss of her husband. She had two young children and she was raising them alone. At some point, I witnessed her lose her ability to cope. Her world crumbled and she was in a state of collapse. As we explored her feelings, she said; I told myself, I would set aside my grief for five years, make sure my kids were ok. And yes, it was five years to the day. We can run but we can't hide from our grief. We may be able to set it aside, but at some point, we must process our loss and take the time to heal, or I fear we will never be whole again. There are ways, process our feelings a little bit each day. First, explore beliefs, because they may be hard to reconcile. For example, if we believe of life after death, but they are absent. Believing is different from knowing. Another way to process, is journaling. Sounds ridiculous? Here is the science. Journaling is a cognitive function which takes place in our neocortex. Emotions are accessed in our middle brain; this brain is active and reactive when we are feeling. Learning to shift our attention into our neocortex eases emotional pain. Identifying things, like emotions or objects is a simple to shift into the frontal brain. Journaling works. And it can be a double win, because writing is a cognitive function. Journaling may be one simple action of putting your own mask on first. When we understand simple ways to help ourselves, we are respecting our body, mind and souls need to heal. I like metaphors, so Ill describe self care to owning a car. If you fail to fill the tank, at some point you're going to run out of gas, and then what? I don't have to tell you because you already know, it is easier to maintain your health than to recover your health. So, if this isn't enough for you… do it for them. And there is power in caring for yourself. The reality is, we must put our own mask on first, and our actions empowers others to do the same. Our simple generosity to our self, nurtures balance and harmony beyond us. Looking for a relieve my grief retreat? In David R Hawkings book Letting go  David talks about the unconscious loss of freedom we impose on ourselves when we use the words I can't. Rather, David encourages us to ask ourselves a bigger question, Why won't I? Behind the bigger question lies our fears underlying I can't. I know through my experience of drowning in a capsized plane that I can't closed every possible choice I could of had for escape. But moving out of the victim mentality of I can't and into I will, cracked open a video of how to escape a plane that had crashed and overturned in water. The power of our mind is inescapable if we are willing to open our consciousness to our greatness. The bigger question is what excuse will we use to limit our greatness? in some way; as David says; we have some level of satisfaction in our self imposed excuses. Rather than taking self responsibility and turning on and tuning into our brilliance. David gives us a template for letting go as well as accepting positiveness into our lives. Or know now that NLP makes letting go easy, no effort other than making the choice to book a service. Or expand your resources with training. Have you ever felt horrified, heartbroken, frightened and helpless. It is said, that the emotions we feel are optional, in that we don't have to have our emotions derail our lives. But we are human! We have emotions, but consider sometimes our emotions make our problems bigger than they really are, in that moment. Like the, I can't do this phrase, when really it may mean that I feel overwhelmed, I need support, or I don't want to. I can't is a mis-labelled I won't. Explore the real reasons why we feel, and then do the things we do. And then surrender to those feelings and feel the releif flood your body, mind and soul. Life is a journey, our emotions can sometimes derail us, but that also becomes a choice. Dave R Hawkings gave me the answers this week, surrender. Be aware of your feelings, Stay with them without wanting to do anything, without resisting and allow it to disapate without engaging in any reaction. Letting go is a powerful tool. focus on the energy beneith the feeling. Not the thoughts around the feeling and allow the accumulated pressure to be released. I think of a canner, and that little pressure valave that rocks on the lid. We tool have the pressure release valave and it could be as simple as letting go. My reset Collective group gave me the same answer; isn't is there for us to witness time and again, the universe really does send us the answers we seek; surrender. Surrender isn't giving up, it is a active purposeful choice to releave human suffering. Move out of our own way, without needed anything external of ourselves. The answers reside within when we get quiet. Tune into your divine wisdom, find you peace. I am a survivor of a plane that crashed and flipped in water. That experience of drowning and how I made my escape forever change my belief in what is possible. And our ability to create and choose the life we want is dirrectly related to what we believe. It took me decades to truly understand the miracle of mindset, I became obsessed with neuroscience. Wanting to understand the power of the mind. If my mind could source information locked deep within my mind, while starved of oxygen. I wanted to know how to access and use that same mind power everyday.  My experience became the driving force of my life purpose.  based on the stuff I now know to be laws of nature, the mind and truth.  If you are looking for answers, desire expanded choices and abundance in your life, I know from my experience, that it all begins with us. As a survivor of a plane that crashed and flipped in a river, I know now that anything is possible when we make the right choice at the right time. But that harrowing experience didn't help me as I became a widow. Grief deeply affected every aspect of my life, decisions, communication, organization, sleep, coping, and happiness. I had so many tools at my disposal, but I needed more. Relief came in the form of connection. As an NLP Trainer and Grief Coach, I serve leaders who require strategies for coping in life, not just influencing productivity and bottom line. Yes, leaders require a cool head, excellent communication skills, behavioural change processes, motivational tools that can transcend real or imagined self-limitations of their team, even when they grieve. But more than that, to create harmony for themselves and their family, as well as their teams. NLP training or certification provides them with enhanced integration of mind sciences; neurology, psychology, cybernetics, linguistics and systems theory. Grief Coaching builds an inner bridge, combines science and spirit. Connection, inner safety, grounded in compassion, understanding and relief. Michelle was once told, she needed to bottle what she has and share it to the world, and that is exactly what Michelle does. "Decluttering from the Inside Out" She talks about the importance of getting to the root of all the physical clutter. To be able to truly release things, we need to identify the underlying emotions and mental clutter that's associated with the physical. BIO: Hi, I’m Michelle Mirpour, and my transformation journey began 20 years ago when I was searching for my purpose and true calling in life. I was in a marriage but it was very toxic. I had the big house and all the things, but I wasn't happy. I worked in the IT corporate world for many years but that wasn’t my calling either. Then it happened… the huge transition in my life 18 years ago that forced me to drastically downsize everything that wasn't serving me, and change my lifestyle to start from a clean slate... this time on my own simplified terms. Two years later I found my calling and that’s when I started my business in 2004, Organized Life By Michelle, to help others simplify their lives and focus on their life's purpose. I was later inspired to take a leap of faith and step away from the corporate world which I knew, and over to a world where I could make a direct impact in other people's lives. Now as a Professional Organizer & Holistic Transformation Coach, I help people clear all the clutter (mental, emotional, and physical) that's no longer serving them and empower them to find their true purpose and joy in life.
