Are today's kids ministries actually helping—or unintentionally hurting—the faith of the next generation?Today I'm joined by family ministry veteran Dr. Josh Mulvihill for a candid, biblically grounded conversation about seven key problems in modern kids and youth ministry and why Christians can no longer afford to ignore them.Drawing from Scripture, church history, and current research, Josh challenges some of the most unquestioned assumptions in evangelical churches today, such as age-segregated worship, attractional entertainment models, and the growing confusion between the church's role and parents' God-given responsibility to disciple their children. This conversation is not a hit piece on kids ministry. Both of us love and support children's and youth ministry when they're aligned with Scripture. Instead, we hope this episode will be a wake-up call for parents, pastors, grandparents, and church leaders to evaluate how their churches can better reach the next generation. “When thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, then thou shalt bestir thyself.” — 2 Samuel 5:24 The members of Christ's Church should be very prayerful, always seeking the unction of the Holy One to rest upon their hearts, that the kingdom of Christ may come, and that […]
Fr. Charles Murr's journey to the priesthood was not a clean, pious narrative; it was a collision with the scandal and confusion simmering inside the Church. After early encounters with clerical corruption nearly shattered his faith, he turned to law and philosophy, searching for a foundation that wouldn't crumble. What he found in Rome, however, was a Church divided: between timeless truth and ideological drift, between real fraternity and institutional decay.A question that changed Fr. Murr's life forever: “Where do you think the devil is going to be?” The answer reframes the entire crisis: evil clusters where grace should flow strongest, not because the Church is false, but because she is true. Corruption near the pope doesn't disprove the papacy; it confirms its spiritual significance.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! On today's Flyover Conservatives Show, we sat down to examine the widespread belief that the world is spiraling downward — and whether Christians have been misled into thinking we're losing when the evidence shows otherwise. We break down global trends in faith, culture, health, conflict, and human flourishing, comparing media-driven fear narratives with historical data and real-world outcomes. The discussion explores how constant exposure to crisis headlines can distort perception and shape a defeatist mindset within the Church. This conversation challenges viewers to rethink the “doom narrative,” recognize signs of progress, and understand the role believers play in shaping the future rather than retreating from it.TO WATCH ALL FLYOVER CONTENT: www.theflyoverapp.comFollow and Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheFlyoverConservativesShow JD KingWEBSITE: www.jdking.netYou've Been Duped Book: https://christospublishing.com/products/why-youve-been-duped-into-believing-that-the-world-is-getting-worse-book-j-d-king?_pos=1&_sid=d6a76c02a&_ss=r The Beast of Revelation Book: https://christospublishing.com/products/the-beast-of-revelation-unraveling-the-mystery-j-d-king?_pos=3&_sid=878c439d6&_ss=r J.D. Through his books and teaching, he challenges fear-based narratives and calls the Church back to a hope-filled, responsibility-centered view of its role in history.
In this episode of To Be the Church, we talk about why context and genre matter when interpreting Scripture. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible includes historical narrative, poetry, wisdom literature, letters, and apocalyptic imagery—and each genre calls for a different approach. We explore how understanding the original audience, authorial intent, and literary style helps prevent common misreadings, avoids unnecessary conflicts with science, and brings clarity to difficult passages—especially in books like Genesis and Revelation.Contact us at podcast@tobethechurch.com
Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”A new name, a sharper mission, and a bold claim: the path back to national sanity runs through a return to truth about the human person. We open by sharing why our show now carries the Claymore banner and how the apostolate is walking with Gen Z men who sense, deep in their hearts, that life must be more than slogans, screens, and shifting rules. That instinct becomes our guiding thread as we tackle the breakdown of shared reality—from pandemic coercion to identity fragmentation—and the quiet ways language was bent until law and culture lost their grip on what is true. With researcher and crime investigator Tom Hampson, we map how a country once united by a creed and a moral vocabulary drifted into regulatory sprawl, selective enforcement, and competing tribes. We move beyond abstractions to the human cost: tradesmen taxed for dysfunction, kids catechized by confusion, and churches tempted to replace clear teaching with a compassion that dissolves justice. We draw on Scripture, natural law, and John Paul II's theology of the body to argue that the deepest desires of the heart—love, meaning, and truth—can only flourish when anchored to reality as God made it.Join us, share this with someone who needs a clear path, and subscribe so you don't miss the follow-up deep dive into the Claymore Apostolate. Your voice matters! Follow Tom's Important work! Read his latest and share it with your friends who are seeking the truth or confused about it. Watch instead of listeningSupport the show

Segment 1 • Global elites at Davos warn that “by-the-book” religions could be eliminated by AI. • Let's get real: AI can process data, but it can't be human. • We can KNOW that AI, machines, and robots can never possess the mind of Christ that believers do. Segment 2 • AI will replace some roles—but not every vocation or calling will be effected. • The real question young people must answer: where am I replaceable? • If we don't define categories and terms, technology will define them for us. Segment 3 • Todd reads an intro and entire segment written by AI. • If pastors use AI to write sermons, biblical shepherding turns into play-acting. • The real cost isn't just efficiency—it's warmth, care, and actual, human, pastoral presence. Segment 4 • AI has real limits—and real potential for human harm, especially in work and ministry. • A chatbot can't read a room, feel tension, respond in love, or function along lines of emotion. • Final gut check: do you really want a relationship with a computer? ___ Thanks for listening! A growing hunger among young men is impossible to ignore, and many are filling it with voices that pull them away from Christ. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar discuss the rise of secular influencers who offer fragments of truth about purpose and masculinity while remaining disconnected from God. The guys explain that while certain traits may be admirable, any worldview apart from Christ ultimately speaks from a fallen perspective. Young men are searching for meaning, and when that hunger is not met with the gospel, they will consume whatever is offered. Ears are always listening, and if the church does not disciple intentionally, other voices will gladly step in.The conversation turns to why this hunger exists in the first place. The guys point out that men have been steadily degraded and stripped of purpose, creating a vacuum that influencers rush to fill. At the same time, the church has often been content with shallow engagement. Cultural Christianity, political alignment, and surface-level conservatism are not substitutes for regeneration. Once someone has truly encountered Christ, there is nowhere else to go, yet many young men have never been shown the depth, authority, and beauty of Scripture. The masculinity they long for is not found in strength or dominance, but in the life and character of Christ. They then address how believers are called to respond. The guys emphasize that the answer is the gospel lived boldly and relationally. Discipleship requires presence, courage, and a willingness to speak into the lives God has providentially placed nearby. Churches cannot celebrate attendance alone but must labor for transformation. This includes engaging young men directly, intentionally investing in children, and recognizing that small moments of care and attention can leave lasting spiritual impressions. Influence is not limited to platforms; it is multiplied by faithfulness. Finally, the guys focus on the role of discipleship in the home and the church. Fatherlessness, whether physical or emotional, has left many young men without guidance, discipline, or example. The gospel restores order, purpose, and authority, calling men to repentance, leadership, and sacrificial love. Family devotion and sound teaching become foundations for generational change. Discipleship is framed as a mutual exchange of exhortation and growth, rooted in Scripture and oriented toward glorifying God. The episode closes with a call for men to lead with conviction, to invest deeply in the next generation, and to anchor identity and purpose in Christ alone.Send us a textThanks for listening! During an artist studio tour in Dallas, the final stop led a woman and her friend to a deteriorating old church that had been converted into a communal living space. The building felt heavy, the artwork unsettling, and the man guiding them through seemed unusually focused on directing them to one specific part of the property before they left.Nothing outwardly frightening happened at the time. But in the days that followed, the woman noticed a drastic shift in her mood, her emotions, and her sense of well-being—changes that didn't feel like stress or coincidence. What followed was an experience she rarely talks about, one that unfolded gradually and left her questioning whether something from that place had attached itself to her.#RealGhostStoriesOnline #TrueParanormal #ParanormalEncounter #DarkEntity #SomethingFollowed #HauntedPlaces #Unexplained #ParanormalPodcast #TrueGhostStories #CreepyButTrue Love real ghost stories? Revelation 6 is a dividing line in the book of Revelation. Now we see what's going on back on earth without the Church (now with Jesus in heaven). The drama continues as the Great Tribulation unfolds in orderly progression—seals, trumpets, bowls of wrath, judgment, ending the Tribulation. Then comes Jesus Christ to earth for the second time to execute God's will. You won't want to miss one thing.

This conversation moves beyond administrative duties to explore practical frameworks for empowering members, delivering difficult counsel, and fostering a revelation-driven ward culture. 00:02:37 – Eric Richards’s Background and Experience 00:06:05 – Core Messages and Focus on Jesus Christ 00:07:42 – Approaching Leadership and Interviews 00:12:21 – The Importance of the Bishop’s Helpline 00:13:05 – Interview Techniques for Revelation 00:20:03 – The Role of Hope in Leadership 00:24:11 – Addressing Pornography in Ministering Interviews 00:30:51 – Supporting Speakers and Teachers in Sacrament Meetings 00:35:07 – Encouraging Discussion in Sunday School 00:39:26 – Inspired Counsel on Callings 00:45:12 – The Bishop’s Prayer List and Personal Ministry 00:46:33 – Ministering Interviews and Strengthening Faith Key Insights Connecting to Christ: All leadership efforts should ultimately prioritize helping individuals develop a personal relationship with the Savior rather than simply maintaining organizational functions. Four Levels of Problem Solving: Leaders can empower members by identifying their current “level” of problem-solving: Level 1 (bringing a completed solution), Level 2 (proposing options), Level 3 (sharing findings/research), or Level 4 (simply asking for the answer). The “Hot Sauce” Technique: Delivering difficult correction is most effective when used as a “compliment sandwich,” where hard truths are encased in genuine love to ensure the counsel is “metabolized” rather than rejected. Facilitating Personal Revelation: Leaders should serve as a “Sherpa” or “guide on the side,” asking questions that invite the member to receive their own answers from the Spirit rather than providing them directly. Wellness Baselines: Richards emphasizes checking a member’s physical (sleep, diet, exercise) and spiritual (prayer, scripture, temple) “baselines” to address holistic needs before tackling complex emotional or behavioral issues. Heart-Led Vulnerability: To create safety, leaders should model vulnerability in sacrament meetings and classes, prioritizing personal, “heart-led” experiences over purely informational “head-led” teaching. Leadership Applications Member Empowerment: Instead of solving every problem, a leader can ask a member where they are on the 1–4 problem-solving scale, encouraging them to find and present their own solutions for the leader’s approval. Ward Council Dynamics: Councils are most effective when members “check their ego” and evaluate every proposal through “three hats”: their perspective as an individual, as a friend/neighbor, and through their specific stewardship. Joyful Ward Culture: Leaders can foster a “Church of Joy” by normalizing post-meeting interactions and using specific roles, such as “stenographers” to document the ward’s spiritual history and community connections. Canada's Boy Golden (Liam Duncan) has a new album coming in mid February on Six Shooter Records, and he has several new tours in the works! Music Matters host Darrell Craig Harris catch's up with him at his home in Winnipeg! About Boy Golden Who is Boy Golden? On the one hand it is moniker for a mysterious new artist, who is building buzz following major support for track "KD and Lunch Meat" from his debut album which hit #1 at Alternative radio in home country of Canada, and major moments including debut at Bonnaroo, and opening for Jason Isbell, MJ Lenderman, and Joshua Ray Walker. On the other hand, Boy Golden is also a conduit for songwriter Liam Duncan-a persona that allows him to create honestly and freely. For Duncan, Boy Golden grants access to an inner world only reachable through music. His three previous albums-For Eden (wistful), For Jimmy (rollicking), and the lemon-yellow-leisure-suited Church of Better Daze-served as a psychic clearing for Best of Our Possible Lives. This new work finds him mid-journey, reckoning with the self as it was, as it is, and as it can be. Boy Golden states "The lines between him and l are soluble... Whether it is my spiritual beliefs, my way of living, my sexuality - it comes up in my writing and I am then forced to reckon with it." Patrick answers questions spanning everything from praying the rosary while making breakfast or driving, to whether it’s genuinely helpful to journal during adoration. Real-world family challenges about faith, grief, and even noise at Mass spark his down-to-earth guidance, thoughtful defense of Catholic practices, and a dose of humor when birthday wishes and smart phone-free dinners come up. Conversations swerve from discussing legal and moral responsibility under pressure to parenting in a complex culture, sometimes bluntly, always with an eye on compassion and truth. Karis - I am conservative. Spitting is not a mortal sin. The officer had already got in his truck. (00:46) Marina - Is it ok to recite the Rosary while doing things like cooking or cleaning. Can I journal during Adoration? (02:05) Jonathan – Is sinning under duress still a sin? Would God hold it against them? (05:01) Alex - Is it ok to pray the Rosary during Mass? My daughter is dating a girl. What is the most loving response I can give her? (08:18) Moe - My daughter is dating a girl. What is the most loving response I can give her? (12:00) Steve - I do pray the Rosary at Mass. It helps me get over distractions at Mass. (20:54) Debra - If my sister witnessed a trauma in her life, would she be accountable for the sins that happened after or would she only be accountable for sins committed beforehand? What does the Church teach about judgement? (26:58) Rick - Police are not supposed to engage with agitators. This is false witness and a character assassination. (34:50) Veronica - Thank you for inspiring my son and I to grow in our Catholic faith. (43:45) Geralyn - My daughter took grand kids to a restaurant, and they don’t have cell phones. Somebody paid their bill because they were not on cell phones. (48:19) Brendan - Is happiness an act of the will? (49:44)
In this episode, Josh and Sam explore what happens when a church becomes discouraged and how God restores hope in a congregation that feels stuck, tired, or overwhelmed. Discouragement drains energy, distorts reality, and slowly turns a church inward. Encouragement is both spiritual and strategic. It starts with leaders who refuse to catastrophize and instead cast vision. Pessimists predict failure. Realists describe what is. But optimistic, faith-filled leaders show what could be. We welcome Dr. Peter Kwasniewski to discuss the urgency of proclaiming Christ as King here and now, not merely as a future sovereign. He and Fr. McTeigue trace the shifts within the Church that have downplayed Christ's reign, and they evaluate the consequences.
Welcome to Day 2786 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom – Theology Thursday – The Unintended Consequences of Replacing Yahweh with “God” Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2786 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2786 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Our current series of Theology Thursday lessons is written by theologian and teacher John Daniels. I have found that his lessons are short, easy to understand, doctrinally sound, and applicable to all who desire to learn more of God's Word. John's lessons can be found on his website theologyinfive.com. Today's lesson is titled The Unintended Consequences of Replacing Yahweh with “God”. In the pages of Scripture, the God of Israel reveals Himself by name, Yahweh, a name that marks His identity, His covenant, and His absolute uniqueness among all other spiritual beings. Yet somewhere in the history of Jewish and Christian tradition, this name was quietly replaced. Where once God was named, now He is merely titled. Yahweh became “the LORD.” Eventually, even “the LORD” gave way to “God,” a generic and universal term that can apply to almost any religious conception of the divine. What began as an effort to show reverence or accommodate translation has produced serious theological consequences. The loss of God's name has led to a distorted view of monotheism, erased key distinctions between Yahweh and other spiritual beings, and enabled poor apologetic compromises, such as the claim that “Allah is just the Arabic word for God.” It has also obscured the meaning of the First Commandment and weakened the Church's understanding of its own covenant relationship. This article traces how we got here and why recovering the name Yahweh is essential to restoring biblical clarity. The First Segment is: From Name to Title: How Yahweh Was Replaced. The divine name Yahweh (יהוה), also called the Tetragrammaton, appears over 6,800 times in the Hebrew Bible. In Exodus 3:15, God declares, “This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.” Yet despite this, a tradition developed during the Second Temple Period in which Jews refrained from pronouncing the divine name aloud. Instead, they substituted it with Adonai (“Lord”) during public readings. This practice, rooted in caution and reverence, carried over into Greek and Latin translations of the Bible. The Septuagint rendered Yahweh as Kyrios (“Lord”), and the Latin Vulgate followed suit with Dominus. English Bibles later preserved this substitution, using the stylized “LORD” in small caps, often without explaining to readers that a name was being replaced. As Christianity spread into the Gentile world, the name Yahweh virtually disappeared from common use. The God of the Bible came to be referred to simply as “God,” a word that is not a name at all, but a title. And not a unique title either, “God” can refer to any number of deities across religious systems or even to philosophical abstractions. In trying to show reverence or universality, the Church began to erase the very name by which the true God had distinguished Himself. The second segment is: The Problem with “God”: A Category, Not a Character This shift might seem minor, but it represents a profound theological error. In Hebrew, the word elohim is used to...

The early Church on End Times, atheists in Heaven, servile works and more on today's Called to Communion with Dr. David Anders.
He was from the pagan Persian aristocracy, but came to faith in Christ and left his home for the Christian city of Edessa, where he was baptized. He later moved to Antioch, where he lived in prayer and asceticism a short distance from the city. He ate nothing but a small amount of bread until he was extremely old, when he added some greens to his diet. Though he knew very little Greek, he was empowered by the Holy Spirit to win many converts to Christ and to confound the learned Arian heretics who were disturbing the Church in Antioch. When Aphrahat learned that the Arian Emperor Valens was persecuting Christ's Church, he moved to the city to support the true Faith. One day the Emperor himself met Aphrahat in the city square and asked him why he had left his solitude and come to Antioch. The Saint answered 'Tell me this: if I were a maiden at home in my secluded apartment and saw someone setting fire to my father's house, would you not advise me to put out the blaze as soon as possible? That is what I am doing now, because the Church, the heavenly Father's house, is burning down inthe fire that you have set!' One of the Emperor's attendants threatened Aphrahat with death for this impertinence; but the attendant himself later perished, drowned as he was heating water for the Emperor's bath. This made the Emperor afraid to persecute the holy one, who continued to preach the true Faith and to perform many miracles. He reposed in peace.

He's written several books including, The Coming Communist Wave: What Happens if the Left Captures All Three Branches of Government, Liberty on the Brink, Crooked: What Really Happened in the 2020 Election and How to Stop the Fraud and The Battle for America's Soul in which he provides 10 Steps to restore Freedom. In this critical election year, Crosstalk reminds you that elections have consequences. The state of Virginia is one notable example because it was on January 17th that Abigail Spanberger was sworn in as the state's 75th governor. Not only did the voters elect this Democrat governor, but they also voted in the lieutenant governor and attorney general. This was in addition to the Democrat controlled general assembly and senate. Combined, this group wasted no time in introducing a hard left agenda that includes: Gerrymandering future elections. Bombarding the citizens with new taxes. Attack life in the womb. Eliminate mandatory minimum sentences. Codify the LGBTQ+ agenda into state statutes. Limiting the periods when officials can check voter registration lists for accuracy. This is some of what was discussed in just the first quarter hour alone. There's much more on this litany of legislation as the program unfolds, and you can hear it all, on this edition of Crosstalk.
What if every conversation you have is already spiritual, and the real issue is whether you know how to engage it?In today's episode, Kris and Ken unpack what it means to have innovative spiritual conversations that are natural, Spirit-led, and rooted in real life. Moving beyond canned approaches and religious jargon, they explore how Jesus modeled conversations that entered people's life stories, listened deeply, and introduced truth at just the right moment. You'll hear a practical framework for understanding the different levels of spiritual conversations, why “faith comes by hearing” is not limited to pulpits or Bible studies, and how milk and meat really work in discipleship. This episode challenges leaders and everyday believers alike to stop forcing conversations and start discerning them, learning how to make the gospel understandable, accessible, and compelling within the context of real human experience. If you want to grow in discernment, disciplability, and everyday spiritual influence, this conversation is for you.

In this heartfelt episode of the Double Edged Sword Podcast, we journey into the wisdom and grace of the early church as revealed in Acts chapter 16. Beginning with a beautiful prayer to the Holy Trinity, we reflect on the parting of Paul and Barnabas over John Mark—a moment that, though marked by honest disagreement, bore no lasting bitterness and ultimately bore fruit for the Gospel, as John Mark later became useful even to Paul. The heart of the message centers on Paul meeting young Timothy in Lystra, a faithful disciple born of a believing Jewish mother and a Greek father. In a striking act of prudence, Paul circumcises Timothy—not to uphold the old law for salvation, but to remove any barrier so the Jews in the region would receive their message without offense. This echoes Paul's own words: “To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews” (1 Corinthians 9:20). Far from hypocrisy, it shows masterful wisdom: Paul gives a little to gain much, becoming “all things to all people” so that some might be saved. We marvel at how the churches strengthened in the one holy, apostolic, catholic faith, growing daily as they obeyed the decrees from the Jerusalem council. This reminds us that the true Church stands firmly on the foundation of the apostles, guided by the Holy Spirit, not human opinion.Beloved, may this episode stir your heart to emulate the prudence of Paul and Christ Himself—who went the extra mile, paid the tax to avoid offense, and met people where they were to draw them to eternal truth. Whether facing division, cultural barriers, or the call to share the Gospel wisely, let us pray for grace to give a little in love so that many might come to know the only Savior, Jesus Christ.Join us as we continue this journey through Acts, trusting the Lord who turns every circumstance for His glory. God bless you richly until next time.

Podcast host, Alan Skorski, interviewed Dr. Tim Orr, an Evangelical leader, who earned six Masters Degrees, including a Masters in Islam, while studying at the London School of Islam under the tutelage of a Shia Muslim leader. During the interview Dr. Orr spoke of his visit to London on October 7, 2023, and without knowing all the news that was happening in Israel following the Hamas invasion, witnessed horrific antisemitic demonstrations taking place in the streets of London. At the same time, he was watching news from America from his hotel room, and saw almost identical types of rallies and demonstrations that were amongst the most antisemitic he had ever witnessed. These events led him to speak out in support of Israel, while he was still in London, and scheduled to speak to Muslim audiences as an interfaith leader. He said that his speaking engagements were immediately cancelled, and the Shia leaders who had once engaged him began to curse him and tell him they regret ever befriending him. Following October 7th, Dr. Orr wrote; “What I felt most was that the Church there was very weak. And that weakness carried a cost. That disorientation deepened when I watched American and European universities erupt days later with the same slogans and emotional choreography. It was then I realized I was witnessing the expression of a coherent transnational worldview, not a series of isolated events.” On antisemitism and how support for Israel is weaponized against Jews, Dr. Orr has written; Antisemitism persists not only because it is protected, but because institutions and cultures continue to choose it for its usefulness. It offers a ready explanation for failure, resentment, and moral unease. It allows societies under strain to direct judgment outward while preserving a sense of righteousness. And it does this by rendering Jews abstract enough to blame and unreal enough to disregard. When Israel is a symbol, every Israeli action is interpreted negatively, because symbols are judged by their natures, not by circumstances. When Israel uses force, it is not responding to a threat, but revealing its nature. When it exhibits restraint, it is merely biding time, and accused of cruelty by inaction: there is no space for tragedy, since tragedy exists only when two legitimate claims are in conflict, and Israel is denied legitimacy from the outset. Intent is always presumed, and never examined. Condemnation is not a conclusion, but a premise. “Dr. Orr looks at how antisemitism operates in today's political, media, and activist spaces—not just as hatred, but as a system that adapts and hides in plain sight—and how Islamist movements and narratives play a role in spreading it in the West. He brings a clear, evidence-based perspective to topics that are often misunderstood or deliberately blurred. Tim is the author of six books, including his forthcoming Antisemitism Is More Than Hatred—It's a System: How It Works, Why It Persists, and How It Adapts to Every Age.” He is currently offering an online course titled: Architecture of Antisemitism: Structure. not Just Hatred -VIN News Watch the video interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f6bE6bTKiE Alan Skorski Reports 29JAN2026 - PODCAST
