There's arguably no superhero in existence that has been reimagined, redefined, or reinterpreted more than Batman. No matter how many times he's been rebooted, audiences are always willing to come back to Gotham City's greatest defender. With so much Bat content out there, there's plenty to dissect, analyze, and of course, rank! This podcast is dedicated to a surgical evaluation of Batman's history, with a focus on ranking several topics in the world of Batman, among other classic Bat themes and characters. Join host Daniel Cohen, Pop Break's former Film Editor and Resident Bat-Maven, as he brings on several guests every month to share his passion for the one and only Dark Knight. From Adam West to Robert Pattinson, no bat stone will be left unturned. Bottom-line: If you're a Batman fan, this is required listening. It's time for another episode of the Batman by the…uh oh. Wait a minute. What's happening? Wha- “Winged freak. Terrorizes. Wait till they get a load of me.” That's right! Welcome to the JOKER by the Numbers Podcast! Grab your laughing gas, hand buzzers and pencils, because everyone's favorite clown prince of crime has taken over the feed. You want chaos? Today we're bringing the CHAOS!! Last year we ranked all the actors who played Batman. With Joker: Folie à Deux upon us, we have to do it: We're ranking Jokers. Do we really need to sell this episode any more than that? The Joker is arguably one of the biggest villains in all of pop culture the last few decades. The character has two academy awards on his mantle. Whether it's pure goofball in the 60s with Cesar Romero, or Joaquin Phoenix's ultra serious take in 2019's blockbuster and divisive Joker, he always brings something to the table to discuss, and could be the biggest reason why Batman as a property has stood the test of time. His never-ending battle with the Joker is the cornerstone of the character. They said it best in a little movie called The Dark Knight… “I think you and I are destined to do this forever.” With a topic like this, you know we had to go BIG. Joining Daniel on this laughing gas filled journey is podcasting director of the pop break, Alex Marcus, along with an all-star panel of alums and newcomers. Fresh off his appearance in the Definitive Batman Draft, Kris Ingersoll of the Media/Lit podcast makes his return, along with Amanda Rivas, host of the Anime x Pop podcast, and of course the flagship podcast of the pop break, the Socially Distanced Podcast. And making their debuts on the Batman, excuse me, the Joker by the Numbers Podcast, Alex's former co-host of the Cinema Joes Podcast, Noah Franc, and professional wrestler, Brandon Vice. The panel dive into everything Joker. Can Daniel get through the Jared Leto segment without going on a 2016 Suicide Squad rant? (probably not). Did the Joaquin Phoenix discussion last a long time? (probably). And…who won the title of #1 ranked Joker? We won't dare spoil that for you, but let's just say it was a nail-biter. What are you waiting for? This is an episode where we rank Jokers. As has been discussed many times, director Christopher Nolan is one of the most important figures when it comes to Batman history, revitalizing the character to new heights back in 2005. In 2008, he directed what almost everyone considers to be the greatest Batman movie ever made in The Dark Knight. With Christopher Nolan winning his first Academy Award just a few weeks ago, we decide to pay tribute to one of the greatest directors there is, as we embark on an Interstellar like journey of ranking every single Nolan movie! From his humble beginnings with Following to the epic Best Picture winning Oppenheimer, no totem will be left unspun. Daniel is joined per usual by Podcasting Director, Alex Marcus, and making his return to the Batman by the Numbers podcast where he was last heard on the epic trailer ranking episode is DJ Chapman of the Roses and Rejection podcast. Also rounding out the panel, and making his debut on the podcast, is massive Nolan fan and host of It Pod to Be You, Manish Mathur. These four Nolan scholars go down the rankings from worst to best, with each movie getting a lively discussion. There are debates. There are disagreements. There are surprises. Strap in, it's a long one, but with 12 movies to cover, and one of the most impressive film resumes out there, did you expect anything less? Is there a contentious Tenet debate? How did fan favorites Memento and The Prestige fare? How did the Batman movies do? Will Interstellar get its due? And most important of all, what Nolan movie finished #1? If you're a Christopher Nolan fan (and who isn't?), this is required listening, as every Nolan theme imaginable is dissected and discussed in all these movies (FULL SPOILERS). What are you waiting for? Cue the Hans Zimmer BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG, and let the Nolan countdown begin!!

This week, Elena, Angela, and Rob dig into eMarketer's report on the mismatch between the channels consumers spend time with and those marketers invest in most. They also explain why that mismatch can sometimes be the right decision. Jay Pestrichelli, CEO of ZEGA Financial, joins Derek Moore again to discuss whether this current bear market is tracing the 2000/2001 bear market. Plus, they highlight how tight yield spreads are looking at what the 3-month treasury bill/ 2-year treasury note are yielding compared to high yield and investment grade bonds. Then Jay and Derek go through the looming US debt bomb in regard to where interest payments might go and whether there will be political pressure for the Fed to keep rates low. Finally, after going through the avocado vs bitcoin relationship, they give a few recommendations. The US Federal Debt is growing but what if rates stay higher and net interest owed goes up? What does the yield spread tell us about relationships of corporate bonds to treasuries? Is the current bear market tracking the 2000-2001 bear market? "Everything's okay. And if everything's okay, what's the problem? And actually, it's a very fulfilling place to be; everything's okay." Alan Creedon. If you ever feel tortured by your own thoughts this episode is for you as Alan Creedon and I delve into talking about our minds in a world of 'shoulds' and 'doing'. Alan explains how to find stillness, connections, how to be and how to use your mind and not be used by it. Alan explains what mindfulness is and the benefits of mindfulness from his own experience: worrying less, far less bothered about what other people thought about him, being less judgemental, fewer barriers to doing what he wanted to do, and gaining clarity. Alan talks about nature, nature connection and discovering nature even if we live in an urban setting. We discuss the value of relationships, interactions, nature and creating. And we talk about everything being okay - not amazing, not terrible, but okay. Alan Creedon is a qualified mindfulness teacher with a passion for the outdoors and nature. He is all about the people and a big believer in cooperation and personal development within the workplace and works with individuals and businesses. He has considerable experience in buying and selling, creating and building markets and helping local, organic food businesses work. He loves being creative and nature plays a big part in that. He writes. He also plays music and composed the music that features on Life Beyond the Numbers Podcast. Connect with Alan: On LinkedIn His Endless River website And on Instagram
ROPE ACCESS NUMBERS - PODCAST - THE ROPE ACCESS AND CLIMBING PODCAST Hello and welcome back to The Rope Access and Climbing Podcast. Today I'm chatting about Rope Access Numbers. Not the number of people in the industry or the number of things that have gone wrong. But the Measurements we seem to talk about in our industry. Last week (JULY 11/21) I posted a tech talk video on How to Right Large Y-Hangs. (Click Here: https://youtu.be/EkbjLWes6AU ). In this video, I used the Measurement 1.5m. I would have to say that the industry norm is 1.5m for Y-Hangs, and such. Well, it's not 100% correct. Y-Hangs are defined as Small or Large: IRATA: 1M SPRAT: 2M Re-Anchors – Small or Large: IRATA: 1.5M SPRAT: 2M Deviations – Single or Double: IRATA: 20Degrees or 1.5M SPRAT: 20Degrees Now with this being said, SPRAT and IRATA require you to Double up the Rigging on Y-Hangs or Deviations no matter the distance if there is a chance of a Failure of the Rope Access System if the one side of the anchor device were to fail. So, if you are rigging a Y-hang or a Deviation to avoid a super-hot surface. Then it has to be doubled up anyway, so the rule of distance goes out the window. So, why are we so focused on the distance, when we should be focused on training/mentoring our techs better? The IRATA TACS and SPRAT Certification Requirements for Rope Access Work are only guidelines. So, hit me up in the comments or on Instagram and let's chat about this. Maybe make another episode on this about my findings. Should it be a big deal that the difference is ½ a meter or a meter? Or should we just agree to disagree that 1.5m is good enough across the board and IRATA/SPRAT should just meet in the middle? (1.5 METERS) Please make sure to subscribe to my channel for more videos like this, and don't forget to follow us wherever you get your podcasts. Follow on Instagram for live up-to-date stories of experiences working in the field, creating new content, and news on upcoming guests. www.instagram.com/RopeAccess_and_Climbing Till next time, Mikey Stevenson

Welcome to Episode # 8 of the Seeing Through the Numbers Podcast. Today I'm talking about money coming into your bank account.Money coming into your bank account is a good from your sales, or payments from clients or customers of their invoices these are good - even though 1/11th of this belongs to the ATO (we're talking GST).But when deposits come into your bank account are non-revenue related - eg from your personal funds to help pay the bills, loans from family and friends, bank or finance company loans. These aren't good deposits because at some point in the future you are going to have to pay them back. The key here is to understand the difference between revenue and capital receipts and which ones will impact your profit and loss and which ones just help your cash flow in the short term but will need to be paid back.
Welcome to Episode # 6 of the Seeing Through the Numbers Podcast. Welcome to Episode #5 of the Seeing Through the Numbers Podcast. Today I'm talking with Nick Urry from Dexterous Group about bookkeeping.Nick has worked in Finance & Operations for over 10 years across a range of sectors including Professional Services, Recruitment and currently Banking & Financial Services. He is a CA and registered Tax Agent and has experience working in large organisations and also small businesses. This experience has given Nick an appreciation for just the right amount of process and procedures required to develop a high functioning finance team / operation.Nick is highly effective in analysing a process and then recommending /implementing efficiencies either through automation or more general process improvements. The end result is an enhancement to the existing process and creation of a more efficient operating environment saving businesses time and money.
Episode # 4 of the Seeing Through the Numbers Podcast is all about bookkeeping and how cloud systems like Xero have simplified this process.I started using Xero back in 2012 when it was still an unknown in Australia. At the time, I was regularly getting enquiries from new start-up businesses and I set them all up on Xero, gave them an hour or two of training on how to use it and they were up and running. It's that simple to use. After six months of doing that, I converted my own office accounts from MYOB to Xero and immediately saved myself 4 hours a month in data processing time. From that time onwards, I've been shouting from the rooftops and telling everyone I see how awesome Xero is. I even wrote a book about it - Connected Technology - How to Transform Your Business with Cloud Accounting. Fast forward to now and whilst all the benefits that were espoused in 2012 are still valid, like the time savings, the automation of data entry, the ability for your advisors to see your numbers, real-time up-to-date numbers, the greatest benefit is in having those numbers readily available to help you to make decisions and to see what's happening in the business. I'll be talking to Nick Urry from Dexterous Accounting next week about how bookkeeping can be simplified.
