What is rock and/or roll? How much do you owe in taxes? And what are we gonna do when this is all over? We answer these questions and more as we enter our FINAL SEASON of Family Matters with Episode 22. Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.Join our countdown to number one (and our slow descent into madness) in all the places you expect internet people to be:Website: jumpingtheshuttle.spaceEmail: jumpingtheshuttle@gmail.comInstagram: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Twitter: @JumpingShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577TikTok: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Brought to you by Smooth My Balls

I don't knooooOOOOOoooooooooOOOOOOOOOOHigh school friends Pee Wee (Dan Monahan), Tommy (Wyatt Knight), Billy (Mark Herrier) and Mickey (Roger Wilson) want to lose their virginity. But when they're kicked out of a strip club after the owner, Porky (Chuck Mitchell), takes their money, they plot revenge. Are you easily offended, Slackers? If so, we probably can't be friends! Have you ever heard someone say, “well, you can't do that nowadays”? I see this sentiment all the time on social media, usually in regards to some tv show or movie from the 70's, 80's, or 90's. But is this how Gen X feels about things?I have always maintained that Gen X is the least easily offended generation. Our gallows humor & general contempt for being told that we can't or shouldn't do something seems to extend into our choices in film, music, & tv viewing. This week I dig into some lists from around the web that seek to identify the movies that “can't be made today”. Are some of these movies filled with questionable material? Of course, but since most of these flicks are comedies, that was kind of the point. The movies that made it on to most of these lists include, Blazing Saddles, Tropic Thunder, Airplane!, Sixteen Candles, and any of the "sex" comedies of the 80's (Porky's, Revenge of the Nerds, etc.).What do you think? Should anything really be completely off limits if it is meant to challenge our own perceptions of society & culture? Isn't that what good comedy (or any art) is supposed to do?Let me know!

Murder by Decree is a 1979 mystery thriller directed by Bob Clark (Director of ‘Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things' and 'Dead of Night' (not the brilliant black and white British film from 1945 - featured in episode 13, but the 1974 American film ), he also directed ‘Black Christmas', ‘Porkys' and ‘Porkys 2' Murder by Decree was written by playwright John Hopkins, who scripted the Bond film Thunderball, and the Alec Guinness TV version of Smileys People. Hopkins referenced Conan Doyle's work, particularly Holmes' deduction and science skills but downplayed other aspects of the characters, such as Holmes' drug use, in favour of making them more likeable and human.Peter O'Toole was originally cast as Sherlock Holmes, and Sir Laurence Olivier was cast as Dr. Watson. But the two actors had not worked well together in the past, and were unable to overcome their differences for this movie. Rather, Holmes is played by Christopher (Captain Georg von Trapp) Plummer and Dr. Watson is played by James Mason.Plummer, described by IMDB as“ perhaps Canada's greatest thespian”, turned down the role of Gandalf in Sir Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and admits to regretting that decision. Question for James and Jon? Christopher Plummer had two roles in common with Peter Cushing, can you name them?James Mason reportedly, he once saved the life of Max Bygraves' son at a party at Judy Garland's house. The boy fell into the pool and Max did not notice. James Mason did and, fully clothed, he jumped into the water and pulled him out. He was scheduled to play James Bond in a 1958 television adaptation of "From Russia with Love", which was ultimately never produced. Later, despite being in his 50s, Mason was a contender to play Bond in Dr. No before Sean Connery was cast. He later turned down the role of Hugo Drax in the James Bond film Moonraker, which went to Michael Lonsdale. In his autobiography, "In Spite of Myself", Plummer noted that Mason was the best Watson he had seen, and that his death halted a proposed furthering of their on-screen partnership. The film also features:David Hemmings (Blow Up, Deep Red, Brabarella, Gladiator, Magnum Pi and Airwolf) as Inspector Foxborough, Anthony Quayle (Lawrence of Arbia, The Guns of Navarone) as Sir Charles Warren, Frank Finlay (Lifeforce, The Three Musketeers) as Inspector Lestrade, Geneviève Bujold as Annie Crook, Susan Clark as Mary Kelly, John Gielgud as Prime Minister Lord Salisbury, Donald Sutherland as Robert Lees and the Mighty June Brown as Anne ChapmanThe film's premise of the plot behind the murders is influenced by the book Jack the Ripper: The Final Solution, by Stephen Knight, who presumed that the killings were part of a Masonic plot. The original script contained the names of the historical suspects, Sir William Gull and John Netley. In the actual film, they are represented by fictional analogues: Thomas Spivy (Gull) and William Slade (Netley). This theory on the perpetrators of the killings is featured in a number of other Jack the Ripper-themed fictions, including the graphic novel ‘From Hell'.The replica nineteenth century dockland set took two months and fifty men to construct at Shepperton Studio's largest soundstage. The set also included a replica muddy Thames River, Alien was shooting concurrently in the same studios.Support the show by buying from our affiliate links…https://tinyurl.com/Murder-Decree-Blu-rayhttps://tinyurl.com/Murder-Decree-DVDhttps://tinyurl.com/From-Hell-Bookhttps://tinyurl.com/From-Hell-Companion-bookhttps://tinyurl.com/The-Five-Book Get bonus content on PatreonSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/general-witchfinders. Fler

In March, Art Hindle will be saluted by his peers in the acting communuty with the Award of Excellence at the 20th anniversary of the ACTRA Awards. It is a well deserved salute to a much-admired actor and crusading guild member with close to 200 IMDb credits and at least as many stories to go with them.Over the years, I always sought out Art at industry functions just to hear again about his days on Dallas, E.N.G., "Porkys" and Paradise Falls and -- best of all -- his hair-raising adventures competing on Battle of the Network Stars. We went overtime on this podcast episode just to get all these great career highlights in, including a previous high honour he received -- having his caricature drawn by the legendary Mort Drucker in the pages of Mad magazine.Hear also about a part or two that got away, including a US network sitcom he was cast in with Kim Cattrall -- until some witch stole it from both of them! All this plus his early feature film break as a hockey player doubled on ice by former Toronto Maple Leaf Jim McKenny. Art Hindle: living the Canadian acting dream.
--- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/cinemaxunga/support

Teen movies where much raunchier in the 80's but were they better than they are now. Going to the beach was also a lot easier when no one cared about sunburn, ahh SPF 15. At least we can have a cooler while we COMiTs sit and watch the waves. Don't forget the Chubb Rub, you'll thank us later.
Mr. Skin is widely known for his appearances on The Howard Stern Show, as well as his infamous “Anatomy Awards” and he is the world's foremost authority on celebrity nudity. So let's discuss the ins and outs of nudity in movies and television.

Ahoy, Motherfuckers! We were joined by Shanta from the Single Simulcast to discuss Real Genius, which is a sarcastic gem of an '80s flick that is designed to go over all of our heads for the most part. Brandon had never seen it before, and so the allure was lost to him as we discussed the quips, comebacks, and comments made by each of the characters in this weird ecosystem where everyone is brilliant. We also discussed the differences between this movie and other '80s movies such as Revenge of the Nerds and Porkys, which are both extremely problematic and do not stand the test of time at all. In 1981, 20th Century Fox released a little family film called "Porky's" about a precocious lad named PeeWee with a knack for revenge against strip clubs and putting his privates where they probably shouldn't be. THEN, they made the obvious brilliant marketing move of turning that movie into an Atari game. In episode 263, we play PORKY'S...because listener Patrick told us to. We're still a little mad about it. No shower scenes in the episode though...or are there? Plug your peepholes and earholes and give a listen. THIS WEEK'S BAD POETRY CORNER - BOOBS: A POEM Listener Patrick started an ATARI BYTES message board and has put up one of the covers from BLIP magazine, a 1980's game-themed comic. Check it out. Schlabunsen!

We startup this episode with the Honch trying to play footsie with the D, so we're not really sure what is going on. Whatever it is...completely disgusting. We tackle the topic a woman that was arrested after blasting AC/DC's Highway To Hell and other loud music from her home, and she threw a frying pan at a member of her family. She was arrested 4 times in 26 hours. And apparently, she should just use headphones.Would you look at a hotel special if you got a free room for getting pregnant? Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and listen to this episode of REWIND all about '80s teen movies, you could miss it. In 1978, 74% of the movie-going audience was between the ages of 12 and 29, fertile ground for the next decade of films geared towards a young demographic. Pete talks with James King, author of the 2019 book The Ultimate History of the '80s Teen Movie. The Breakfast Club, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Porky's, Weird Science, Say Anything, Risky Business - it's all covered in this episode of REWIND.
Toga! Toga! Toga- 2000! Continuing our coverage of director John Landis' filmography, Kieran and I discuss 'National Lampoon's Animal House'. But does this beloved comedy classic hold up in the #MeToo era? Along the way we compare this to The Young Ones (also, bizarrely, 'A Birth of a Nation'), we bring up the brilliant British sitcom 'Nathan Barley', food fights, 'power shandies' and we touch on (amongst other things) 'Porky's', 'Revenge of the Nerds', Kevin Smith's 'Mallrats' and 'Road Trip' (starring Tom Green- remember him?). We also talk about a band named Blubber, that you almost certainly haven't heard of....
I discuss how I got into the strip club industry in Miami, Florida. I go into who I worked with at Porky's in Hialeah, and how from Miami we opened up a brothel in Panama City, Panama. I also discuss how I avoided through the "Grace of God" being locked up in a Panamanian prison. My best friend, boss @ Porky's, and mentor Anthony 'Fat Tony' Galeota, then turns his back on me (after 20+ years of friendship) as all of these stories are about to be made into a movie or TV series. His greed kicked in as he decides now to "cut me out" of the mix. All this after following this man through hell AND high water! But I am the only one that can verify all of the stories and secrets. Todd goes a mile a minute with horror film mastermind - Eli Roth - as they chat about Eli's love of 80's sex comedies, filming in the jungles of Chile, which Disney film served as the inspiration for Hostel and their upcoming film collaboration - Haunt!
In the first of our two-part special looking at Eli Roth's HOSTEL movies, we're giving our uncensored queer views on Hostel (2005). Always an interesting watch for a queer horror fan with its toxic protagonists throwing the word 'fag' around with gay abandon whilst they fuck their way around Eastern Europe like ill-conceived throwbacks to the Porkys era, Hostel is easily written off as shallow macho trash. But we're digging deeper into the layers of Hostel (yes - there are layers!) and looking at the social and political influences on this film and the torture porn explosion in general. Is the film offensive for anything other than being a bit banal given the hype that surrounded it on its release? Is it a critique of American patriarchy riding rough-shod over 'poor backwards Eastern Europe'? And most importantly, will Eli Roth ever succumb to my embarrassing advances? Spark up a doobie, spitroast a hooker and indulge in some heavy-handed bro-talk with us. If you don't? You're so gay.
Surprise: We kinda liked Porky's. Also surprise: It's wasn't because of boobs (hardly any, actually) or jokes (so many bad ones). The 1981 Canadian-American teen sex comedy actually had some depth to it, dealing with child abuse, misogyny, racism, and possibly the fallout of war. Seriously! This just may be the most tangent filled, off the rails insane Episode of Cinema PSYOPS as we get maniacally punchy due to recording early on a Saturday morning. I hated cutting it down, so I made a nice clip segment of our tirades, our fuck-ups, and Bill’s educating Matt about Todd Cock-ring at the end of the episode set to the music of CIV. Don’t Forget the contest guys and gals once we get 20 total honest reviews in iTunes and Stitcher, Cort will give away one brand new copy of Macabre from William Castle on DVD picked from those reviews and the winner will be given a chance to review the movie on the show with Cort and Matt! Just email Cort your screen name or a screencap of your review and you are entered to win! This week, Johnny and Joanna each pick 5 sequels (unbeknownst to the other) that they enjoy more than the original -- attempting to avoid the obvious, i.e. Aliens and Evil Dead 2. What ensues is a pretty rad conversation -- as some choices are a little, ahem, controversial. Drinking game options: Every time you hear Johnny yawn. Look for more goodies at BloodyPopcorn.com.
During the harsh days of the early European 15th century landscape there were many fears in the world. There was sickness that would kill millions of people. The constant threat of not having food or shelter. Then there was the biggest threat from criminal activity. Animal Criminal Activity. The Bros discuss a wacky time when lawyers were paid to put on trial animals and in some cases defend the animals in a real courtroom. The animals ranged from Pigs, Chickens, Mules, Bulls and even Dolphins.
A Christmas story is a classic and Eric had never seen it prior to this year. It was also directed by the same guy who directed the original Black Christmas, Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things, and Porkys. Brother J and Eric also discuss Christmas candy, boozy desserts, Basken and Robbins ice cream cake, and lots and lots of family nostalgia. Toward the end they drift off into politics since this episode was recorded just after the Paris terrorist attacks. Episode 10 begins with Henry Phillips and Craig Robinson (Darryl from The Office) singing an original song to Bob about his podcast. Henry Phillips is a guitar playing stand up comic who has been on Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Friday's, and is a favorite on the Bob & Tom radio show. Most recently he wrote and starred in the hilarious semi autobiographical film Punching the Clown (available on iTunes, Netflix, and Amazon). In this episode Henry discusses his start in comedy, his Dad's turn in Porky's 2, bagels, and life in Hollywood.
