Some are old, some are new, some are wild, and some are blue. Bachelorette parties can often be too much or too little. It can be hard to please everyone, especially with a group of different personality types. In reality, the only one who needs to have the time of their life is the bride, but it's always better when everyone has a great time!When I flew to Austin, Texas, for my future sister in law's bachelorette party, I did not know what to expect. I had never been to Austin, and I had never met any of the girls coming besides Jess (my now sister-in-law) and her maid of honor, Natalie. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire trip and the people I was with. We had an absolute blast, getting along famously, and got a little bit of everything Austin had to offer in just a few short days.When to Go and Where to Stay.The best time to visit Austin is in March when there is lots of sunshine, but the weather isn't too hot yet, and the air is breezy and filled with the blooming of Texas spring. For a bachelorette party, there are many excellent Airbnbs to choose from. Their price ranges are very fair. Plus, staying in a house with a group for bonding is always better!Lunch/BrunchFor a fantastic Tex-Mex spot, try Gueros Taco Bar. I had some of the best breakfast tacos I have ever had, and I also got a frozen margarita that was top-notch. My favorite lunch spot was, hands down, Terry Black's BBQ. The brisket melted in my mouth, and because I was so stuffed, I took my cornbread on the plane ride home with me!ShoppingThe streets of downtown Austin were lined with thrift booths and handmade jewelry. From cowboy boots to handmade copper jewelry and unique fringe jackets, this little shopping area was such a blast! I got a super cute floral blazer at one of the vintage vendor booths. When moseying around downtown, don't forget to get an "insta pic" with the famous "I love you so much" wall downtown!Dinner My favorite dinner spot was at the Oasis. This is a MUST-do when in Austin. The entire restaurant, bar, and shopping center sit on the cliff overlooking the gorgeous Lake Travis. The view is spectacular and unlike anything I have ever seen. It had a serenity, and you felt like you were looking at a coastal area in Greece! You can eat excellent Mexican food on the cliff with the view of the setting sun. The stars come out after and set in a rich blue-shaded sky that looks like the ocean. For a fancier dinner night, try Il Bruto. Il Bruto is a charming Italian-inspired eatery nestled within the heart of the city. It is a mix of rustic, stylish, and cozy! Renowned for its handmade pasta dishes crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, Il Bruto is basically traditional Italian cuisine mixed with innovative twists. SnacksMy favorite local culinary delight had to be the Kolache. Originating from Central Europe, this delectable pastry is a sweet treat filled with an array of delightful fillings like fruit, cheese, jam, or meat. Crafted from a yeast-based dough, it's then generously stuffed with the chosen filling before being baked to perfection. Kolaches are widely enjoyed as a breakfast staple across various countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and the United States. In the late 1880s, Czech immigrants brought the tradition of Kolache to Texas, and it soon found its place in Texan culture!DancingAustin has a poppin' party scene! Whether you are looking for a club vibe or boot scootin', you will be pleased. Some hot bars were the Neon Grotto, Shangri-La, Sam's Town Point. Also, check out Rainey Street, where a local told us the fun is at. The night we went out on the town, we stopped at Domo Alley-Gato Tatsu-Ya for drinks, went to Il Bruto for dinner, and learned to western dance with some real cowboys at The White Horse. Texan VinoIf you are with a group of wine girlies, check out The Duchman Family Winery in Driftwood, Texas. This hidden gem sits at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, and they're all about crafting wines that scream Texas pride. From their vineyard tours to tasting sessions, they're all about letting your group hang out while letting you sip on some funky vinos. And guess what? They only use Texas-grown grapes, so you know you're getting a taste of the Lone Star State in every glass. When we went, the weather was perfect, and we continued bonding in the breezy yard out front of the winery. Whether you're into a zesty Vermentino or a bold Aglianico, a trip to the Duchman Family Winery is a fabulous place to hang out in the sunshine and taste Texas charm.Outdoor ActivitiesAustin has beautiful scenery with a mix of rolling hills, rivers, and cityscape. It also has quite a few natural hidden gems. The two-mile hike to Hamilton Pool Preserve was quiet, & relaxing. It was non-strenuous, and the rocky cliffs and sparkling streams were serene. The pool was spectacular, but the water was cold! I took a relaxing nap in the warm sun with the sound of the trickling water. Another must-see spot is Zilker Park. Here, you can relax in the cool river or rent kayaks and adventure through the calm water. We saw so many turtles tanning on logs and Grackle birds. We kayaked through the tranquil water under bridges, getting a great view of the city. Afterwards, we relaxed in the park and had a little picnic with the view of the city behind us. Austin, Texas is the ultimate destination for an unforgettable bachelorette party. With its lively atmosphere, diverse entertainment options, and vibrant nightlife, Austin offers the perfect backdrop for celebrating the bride-to-be in style. From indulging in mouthwatering barbecue and craft cocktails on Rainey Street to dancing the night away to live music on Sixth Street, there's no shortage of excitement in this bustling city. With its abundance of trendy boutique hotels, scenic outdoor activities, and pampering spas, Austin provides endless opportunities for relaxation and adventure alike. Whether cruising down Lady Bird Lake on a party barge or exploring the city's eclectic shops and art galleries, Austin promises a bachelorette party experience that's as unique and memorable as the bride herself.

we're on the precipice of the most dangerous weekend on the 2023 city of Austin calendar,  an event so rife with potential for mayhem, it's worse than the Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally, Clyde Littlefield Relays and the Austin Psych Fest combined. I am of course referring to Zilker Park's annual orgy of ultra violence the AUSTIN KITE FEST, which aside from being BORING A.F. This new mRNA Shot also features warnings about myocarditis, pericarditis and capillary leak syndrome flare-ups, which cause fluid leakage from small blood vessels, rapid swelling of the arms and legs, sudden weight gain and low blood pressure. Roll up your sleeves, suckers! CNBC should be deplatformed and permanently banished from the internet after posting this article: ‘Do Americans Have a Vitamin D Problem?”. CNBC insists that it's “irresponsible to even test patients for vitamin D deficiencies”. And don't even think about taking Vitamin D supplements. You might overdose and put yourself in danger. Want proof? CNBC reports that some guy in England was taking 150,000 IU's of Vitamin D per day, and it didn't go well for him. Who could have imagined that swallowing an entire bottle of Vitamin D pills every 48 hours might not be an effective health strategy? CNBC claims that it's “irresponsible” to test for Vitamin D levels, and you should wait until you start breaking bones during simple activities before you consult your doctor. I'm totally serious. CNBC interviewed a doctor that actually said: “If you're breaking bones during simple activities, experiencing bone pain to the touch or feeling enough muscle pain or weakness to keep you from being able to comfortably get out of chairs, you should consult your doctor about a potential vitamin D deficiency.” China announced it has started geoengineering rain to alleviate drought conditions. China has already started seeding clouds using silver iodide rods to induce rainfall. Almost the entire state of Texas is now in a state of drought, with about 16% now in exceptional drought, including the the Hill Country and watershed areas critical to replenishing the Colorado River. Confirmed monkeypox cases in Texas have climbed to 20. Meanwhile three local counties - Blanco, Lampasas and Milam - have risen to High risk status for COVID-19 spread according to the CDC. Local hospitalizations continue rising steadily, now up to 142 from 118 one week ago. Gas prices continue dropping - the statewide average price is now down 16 cents over the last week, hitting $4.33 per gallon, which is still way higher than this time last year when it was $2.81. GasBuddy reports the cheapest gas in central Austin this morning is $4.19. Airport news: ABIA set a third-straight all-time monthly record for passenger volume in May, topping 2 million in a single month for the first time. Meanwhile, the Austin airport is to receive $15 million for expansion, via President Joe Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Texas Football is ranked #4 in predicted outcomes among the Big 12 in its media preseason poll, behind Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Baylor, who place at the top of the preseason poll for the first time. Free outdoor entertainment: tonight marks the return of Zilker Theatre Productions free presentation of Newsies at Beverly Sheffield Hillside Theatre at Zilker Park. Shows run Thursday thru Sunday evenings at 8:15 through August 13. Uvalde updates: The Robb Elementary School building, where last month's mass shooting occurred, is set to be demolished. School district police chief Pete Arredondo has been placed on leave from those duties by Uvalde CISD administrators. Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez has filed suit against the Texas Department of Public Safety, demanding that they hand over all records and information related to the shooting. And Texas Senate hearings on the crime at the Capitol that have been ongoing all this week have included very little discussion of guns. Speaking of guns - earlier this week, a man tried to enter the 7-11 store at Ben White and South 1st with an AR-15 rifle after the clerk declined to give him free gas. He's charged with first-degree felony aggravated robbery. And, another man was arrested Sunday after firing rounds at people near Zilker Park and threatening a mass shooting at a weekly Sunday drum circle there. Median home prices inside the Austin city limits have hit another all-time new high: $667,000 on average as of May, a 21% year-to-year jump - we're now considered the second-most overpriced market in the U.S. Historic Ski Shores Cafe on Lake Austin has re-opened after a remodel by new owners McGuire Moorman Lambert, while the equally historic original Threadgill's site on North Lamar will see a 100-unit apartment building go up behind the restaurant structure, which will be preserved as part of the project after a request to tear it down was denied by the city. The director of the Texas Department of Public Safety characterized the police response to the Uvalde school shooting as an "abject failure" yesterday during a hearing held by a Texas Senate committee. The Texas power grid has held up well so far this blazing hot summer - but all that extra capacity is costing Texas (and eventually, Texans) hundreds of millions of dollars in extra charges. Elon Musk has plans to expand his industrial footprint east of Austin as SpaceX is set to build in Bastrop County. In spite of area-wide burn bans, the selling and use of fireworks in the Austin area will actually be legal this 4th of July. Ever wonder exactly why we're not supposed to swim in Lady Bird Lake? KXAN has an explainer. A new free park and shuttle service for Zilker Park will launch on Saturday. "Name Image Likeness" or NIL endorsement deals among athletes at UT generated $2 million in its first year, led by football but also including softball and swimming. The San Antonio Spurs have announced a multi-year jersey patch partnership with Self Financial, a credit building financial technology company based in Austin, starting during the 2022 NBA Summer League. A slight uptick in COVID cases lately is thought to be connected to gatherings during SXSW - even Elon Musk is down with COVID right now. Another Red Flag Warning is issued today as major wildfires burn near both San Antonio and Fort Hood. Austin's airport fails to keep up with heavy traffic on Monday morning, and is continuing to struggle to catch up. Gas prices have dropped a bit but are still over 50 cents higher than this time last year. A study has found that 40 percent of working Texans earn less than $15 per hour. Meanwhile, real estate data shows the Austin market features more homes priced at $1 million or above than any other Texas city. Austin has also moved up on an annual survey of the best performing cities in the U.S., we're now ranked number 2. The University of Texas is considering a self-described "pro-life evangelical" political science professor to lead its controversial new conservative think tank. A new survey finds Texas State University to be one of the top R2 high-research activity universities in the country, and boasting particular personal success for female graduates. Texas Football enlisted NFL exes Colt McCoy and Sean Ehlinger to help woo legacy high school phenom QB Arch Manning during last week's visit to UT. Texas Longhorns Baseball hosts arch-rivals Texas A&M tonight, seeking to beat the Aggies in the regular season for the first time since 2017. Circuit Of The Americas is set to develop a new amusement park, complete with multiple rides and at least five roller coasters. The new Zilker Park train, the Zilker Eagle, is undergoing safety tests with an opening date to be announced soon. The new Moody Center adds Florence And The Machine and Roxy Music to its already impressive inaugural concert lineup. Major rainfall expected today across Central Texas is perhaps good news for drought conditions, but could also bring strong storms including strong winds, large hail and maybe even tornadoes - we need to watch the weather today, especially after noon. One in eight mail-in ballot applications for the recent primary election were rejected - the Texas Tribune calls that vote suppression, and Travis County Judge Andy Brown spoke out against new curbs on voting access in a U.S. House discussion last week. With the close of SXSW, organizers report close to the same degree of attendance and revenue from the last live event in 2019, exceeding their expectations for the pandemic return. A shooting in the East Sixth Street bar district on Saturday injured four people and followed the seizure of dozens of illegally carried guns across downtown Austin during SXSW. Austin EMS treated over 100 patients over the course of the festival. Texas Longhorns men's basketball was eliminated from the NCAA tournament last night by Purdue, final score 81-71, while Texas women's hoops have made the Sweet 16 for their second straight season in a convincing win over Utah - the Frank Erwin Center's final event before closing officially. The women play again on Friday, opponent remains to be determined. Austin FC managed to fight their way to a draw with the Seattle Sounders yesterday, final score 1-1. There was a bomb threat at Austin Bergstrom International Airport overnight last night, resulting in several delayed or diverted flights - it's been cleared and the airport is operating normally this morning. The City of Austin fails in an appeal against a lawsuit claiming it did not provide sufficient notice to property owners about impending code changes - while a study finds that Californians may not be solely responsible for skyrocketing home costs after all. NASCAR racing returns to Circuit Of The Americas this weekend, and the ABC Kite Festival returns to Zilker Park on April 3. And, Austin makes a new ranking of the top 50 places to live in the U.S. - while we've also made a ranking of America's fattest cities.

A crawfish festival held near Austin over the weekend was a dismal failure - if you attended and didn't get what you paid for, you may have options. Texas Parks and Wildlife are strengthening their prescribed burn protocols in the wake of January's Rolling Pines fire in Bastrop County. Travis County election officials point to new statewide voting restrictions as part of the cause of a website crash on Election Night. Texas Men's Basketball claims the #4 seed in this year's Big 12 Tournament and will open play against TCU on Thursday night. A student group at UT has issued a report saying the University's inclusivity of LGTBQ students is lacking. Three options are being considered by the city for major improvements to Zilker Park. Austin's rent prices have spiked more dramatically over the last year than those of any other Texas city. A bat flying around a northwest Austin theater during a screening of the new Batman movie was brought in as a prank by a theater patron. And wet, chilly weather today is a preview for a potential freeze on the way this weekend.

New York U.S. Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will appear with Congressional candidate Greg Casar at a rally at The Mohawk on Sunday. Early voting for the March primary election starts Monday and the Austin Bar Association has released its preferences in local judicial races. A retrial is set in a murder case in Greece related to the 2017 killing of an Austin man. Environmental conflicts arise over the proposed Violet Crown development near Bee Cave, and also the landfill that serves as a parking lot on the western end of Zilker Park. The Kerrville Folk Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary this spring, tickets are available now. Season passes for Austin pools have also gone on sale. Austin alt-rock outfit Spoon releases their new album Lucifer On The Sofa today. Local restaurant workers may be eligible for free child care. Michael and Susan Dell have made a major investment in the WNBA. Austin makes rankings of the friendliest American cities, and the best American cities for quality pizza, but a Fox News report that we're one of the ten unhealthiest cities in the country is found to be Pants On Fire.

Local COVID hospitalization stats keep dropping, but are still quite high - we're now at about the same level as the peak of the second wave last winter, which was the all time record prior to the Omicron wave. The big freeze is here: temps will hit freezing around 7am Thursday and hard re-freezes will happen nightly thru Saturday night. Widespread shutdowns Thursday include most area school districts, UT Austin's main campus, We Are Blood, and Capital Metro. Austin Bergstrom International Airport will remain open, but individual flight delays and cancellations are likely. Government and energy sector officials remain optimistic that the Texas power grid will perform smoothly thru this winter event, but localized problems with power lines are also a potential service interruption, while Austin Water would rather you didn't drip your pipes. Local COVID hospitalization stats edge ever closer to Stage 4 - while our hospital mortality rate continues to rise and ICU's remain basically full. AISD sees a much lower rate of confirmed new cases among its student body than those found in neighboring districts over the first month of classes. Of 200 use of force complaints against Austin police officers during last summer's demonstrations, only 27 were investigated and only 11 ended in officer discipline. APD will go into "no refusal" mode every weekend, Thursday thru Sunday, for a full year starting October 1. Georgetown Fire Department officials consider changes to fire codes after the tragic loss of 75 dogs in a fire at a boarding facility on Saturday. The University of Texas sees its biggest incoming freshman class ever, and sets new highs for overall diversity. Zilker Park closes for ACL Fest prep - but still no special events permits from the City. And while cooler weather is welcome, it brings wind and lower humidity as well - raising our risk of wildfires.

The new Field Guide Festival will celebrate our local food and farming scene in late October. Blues On The Green returns to Zilker Park on July 27, and The Killers announce an Austin concert in the fall of '22.

I was looking at my very old ten-speed bicycle and reminiscing about all the good times we’ve had together. That bike has been through three moves and mile upon mile of exploring neighborhood streets. We’ve sloshed through the muddy trails of Zilker Park in Austin and raced ahead of barking dogs in Minneapolis. I’ve been forced to get a few replacement parts like tires and brakes but mostly it’s the same bike. I’m told newer models are lighter, faster, and easier to transport. My friend has a bike from Tokyo with a tall unicycle-type seat and small tires. It folds like an accordion. Rah. I don’t care. My bike is irreplaceable. The seat of my bike is molded comfortably to my shape. The grips on the handlebars fit my fingers like custom gloves. We have history. I know my bike. I know it’s hard to shift gears if the chain is too tight so I let up on my stroke to adjust the tension when I upshift or downshift. When anyone else rides my bike, invariably the chain comes off. That’s when they tell me, “You need a new bike!”, not because of how it looks but because they don’t know how to handle it. My bike shows minimal wear and tear because I always use the kickstand when I’m not riding it. Thefreedictionary.com has two definitions for a kickstand (kĭk stănd′)  n. 1. A swiveling metal bar for holding a bicycle, motorcycle, or other two-wheeled vehicle upright when it is not being ridden. 2. An attachment for a tablet or other electronic device used to prop up the device when it is resting on a surface. Every day of this journey, we encounter the unexpected: potholes in policy, rain on the day of the parade, inexplicable coldness in places that were previously sunny, and miles of traffic delaying the execution of our dreams. When we’re forced to temporarily stop pedaling, there’s no substitute for a good kickstand. We all need something to keep us upright when we are too tired or frustrated to go on. See, I love my bike because I know what it feels like to be older, slower, and less shiny than the competition. I know what it feels like to be on the bubble of someone else’s opinion. I know how it feels to be underestimated. And, conversely, how wonderful it is to have a trustworthy prop that allows me to smile inside when I tell the world “!”. In popular culture, everyone wants a ride or die. Not me. I’ll take this old frame, the wind at my back, and a really good kickstand.

If anybody ever wondered what Pink Floyd would look like in 2020, this is it! A bit on the political side, but that is Roger Waters. But more great visuals, of course! It's Friday night, I catch Guns 'N Roses on their Not In This Lifetime Tour, with a reunion lineup for the last several years, the 17th annual Austin City Limits (ACL) music festival held in Zilker Park which is held on two consecutive three-day weekends. Sympathy for the devil that we speak of... Simpson was chosen as the opening act for several shows during GnR's "Not in this Lifetime" tour in the summer of 2017. But I get home and watch "Sound & Fury" and was completely blown away! Not what you would typically expect from a country artist. It is like a Pink Floyd movie, but with a Samurai. This was something extraordinary! Here is Make Art Not Friends, my favorite song on the album. I read some reviews about the album, many of them are not favorable. Many of them point to the comparisons with ZZ Top's "Eliminator" album. Sure. But this song here, it's like The Cars , Ric Ocasek recently deceased. It's like a marriage of "Just what I Needed" and let the "Good Times Roll". And if you do like this, check out Shooter Jenning's Hierophant "Black Ribbons" album from 2009. A dystopian rock opera concept companion to "Sound & Fury". It too surfs the radio dial and genre. This has now quickly and easily become my favorite album of the year. "The most important country record since Red Headed Stranger." - Matt Comer And just announced today, an arena tour for Sturgill Simpson! He's coming to the Erwin Center on March 28, 2020. Along with fellow Kentucky singer/songwriter Tyler Childers, whom Sturgill produced his last 2 albums. Tyler is great, too! I caught him this Summer at Robert Earl Keen's 4th on the River in Kerrville. He really brings out the rowdy crowd! And I, along with my friends, may have somehow been mistaken for him and his band afterwards at a hotel pool... Are you sure Hank done it this way? I don't know, but Hank lead his own way. And so did Waylon and so many others. The ones that we still talk about to this day. And Sturgill he is on his own path, too. And him doing an arena rock show, WOW! He has swept previous Austin Music Awards and even won a Grammy. Soon out of the gates, he was cast and stared alongside Danny Glover in a move, "Honeydripper" from 2007. Over the past few years and on the festival circuit, he has enjoyed a lot of success. And this past year, he played the many late night shows, performing, my favorite song of 2019: "This Land". He lives on his land in Kyle. One certain nosy neighbor came poking around his property and inadvertently became the muse for the song. There is a radio edit version of the song, but it takes a little bit of the punch out of it. So let's hear how Gary intended this song to be in all of it's glory, as he recorded in the Freddy Fletcher's Arlyn Studios on the legendary NEVE recording console, similar to the one highlighted in Dave Grohl's "Sound City" documentary from 2013. Actually, this very NEVE console was featured with both Grohl and Clark in episode 4 of the Foo Fighters Sonic Highways documentary program. Here it is, protect your land! Here is "This Land" from this year's album of the same name. This is the state of Modern Blues in 2019!. That song "The Governor" was included, as they were together in the great video for "This Land", check it out! And there were many references to his Governor in "This Land". And he is not referring to the Texas Governor who just late yesterday threatened the City of Austin to intervene over some questions about how this land can be used in our city. He is talking about a different kind of "Governor' that most other Texans are well aware of... Gary plays tonight and tomorrow night at Stubb's BBQ, which just 2 days ago won a settlement to remain named Stubb's BBQ. Holding up the handshake deal that C.B. Stubblefield would have wanted. And rather than being renamed to the Austin favorite, Liberty Lunch, that closed in the 90's. Then this Saturday, next Friday and next Saturday he will be playing at the 17th annual Austin City Limits (ACL) music festival held in Zilker Park which is held on two consecutive three-day weekends in Austin, TX. We survived 2 weekends at ACL Festival! And we couldn't be happier about it! Thanks to HAAM for inviting us to talk about their important efforts in helping Austin musicians be healthy contributors to our city's cultural identity.    Austin music veterans AJ Vallejo and Kendall Beard brought Love & Chaos to the ACL Cares Stage, where we talked about how they collaborate together and what we can expect from them in the near future.   AJ also shared how HAAM helped him during his recovery from a heart attack a decade ago, and how they continue to help him to this day.   We look forward to Kendall's new album (produced by AJ), coming out on October 19th. You can find her writing at R We There Yet Mom?, or follow her on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.   VISITING AUSTIN WITH KIDS Austin is known for South by Southwest Interactive in the Spring and Austin City Limits in the fall, but there is so much to offer families from a vibrant Hill Country with hiking and waterskiing, to a ton of history and family attractions. A long weekend is sufficient for exploring the city but ideally families should plan on four to five days. Sometimes families may combine a trip to Austin with a visit to San Antonio.   Texas State Capitol is 131 years old and made of pink granite to create a beautiful building with a whispering gallery, a Texas history museum for kids and memorials. Across the street you will find Bullock Texas State History Museum.   Another must do is to to experience the outdoors at Zilker Park in downtown Austin where you can fly kites and swim in the Barton Springs Pool. Barton Springs Pool is manmade but fed by a natural spring so it is 68 degrees year-round. The springs feed into Town Lake and you can rent kayaks, paddle boards and water bikes. After your water activities, you can ride the Zilker Zephyr, a miniature train with excellent views.   At night, you must see the Congress Avenue bats, which live under the Congress Avenue Bridge from March through October. Every evening at dusk, the bats fly out from under the bridge en masse.   However, don't go to the legendary Sixth Street -- it is for college kids and above. But there are plenty of fun and eclectic shops on South Congress.   Some off-the-beaten path places to visit in Austin: Tom's Coffee Shop with a set up a Tom's shoes and a back yard garden Austin Murals Cathedral of Junk WHERE TO STAY IN AUSTIN Rebecca recommends staying in downtown Austin at the Driskill Hotel on the edge of Fifth and Sixth Street with unique, beautiful rooms. She also likes the Four Seasons by Town Lake and the J.W. Marriott, which are both in great locations to walk to the main sites. WHERE TO EAT IN AUSTIN Rebecca recommends: Franklin BBQ -- great BBQ but really long waits and there are many other options Salt Lick BBQ in Dripping Springs Matt's El Rancho -- Tex-Mex that really caters to the kids with face painting, balloon animals... Home Slice Pizza on South Congress -- NY-style pizza with dough balls for the kids Hopdoddy -- unique burgers BEST PLACE TO TAKE FAMILY PHOTO Greetings from Austin Mural -- on South First and Annie I Love You So Much Mural -- on South Congress on the side of Joe's Coffee house Zilker Park field with downtown Austin and the Congress Avenue bridge in the background Hike up Mount Bonnell and on the northwest side you overlook Lake Austin and the downtown is behind you FAVORITE TRAVEL GEAR Rebecca loves LuLaRoe leggings (just like Kim!) and Tom's shoes because they are comfortable and easy to slip on and off. TIP/APP OF THE WEEK Google Maps is a great app to use when walking around the city to find a walking path to your destination and get voice-guided, turn-by-turn directions. Plus, if you turn it on while you are in WiFi it even works when you have data turned off or if you are out of cell coverage.
