Read Online“And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:17–19Saints Peter and Paul are often referred to as two of the great “Pillars of the Church.” They each played an incredibly essential role in the establishment of the early Church. And though each of their roles was essential and foundational, their roles were as different as they were different as persons.Peter was a family man, a local fisherman, uneducated and quite ordinary. From what we know about him prior to being called by Jesus, there was nothing that made him uniquely qualified to become one of the pillars of the new Church to be established by the Son of God. Jesus simply called him, and he responded. Jesus got into Peter's boat, ordered him to lower the nets, and produced a huge catch of fish. When Peter saw this miracle, he fell down at Jesus' feet and acknowledged that he was “a sinful man” who was unworthy of being in Jesus' presence (See Luke 5:8). But Jesus informed Peter that he would from now on be catching men. Peter immediately left everything behind and followed Jesus.Paul describes himself as “a Jew, born at Tarsus in Cili′cia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gama′li-el, educated according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as you all are this day” (Acts 22:3). Paul was well educated in the strictest interpretation of the Jewish law, understood philosophy and was quite zealous as a young man. Recall, also, that prior to becoming a convert to Christianity, he “persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it” (Galatians 1:13). In many ways, Paul would have been seen as the most unlikely person to be chosen to be a pillar of the Church, because he so vigorously opposed it at first. He even supported the killing of Saint Stephen, the first Christian martyr. Though each of these men would have been considered by many as very unlikely founders of the Christian Church, this is exactly what they became. Paul, after his conversion, traveled far and wide to preach the Gospel, founding several new Churches throughout Asia Minor and Europe. Eventually he was arrested in Jerusalem, brought to Rome for trial and was beheaded. Over half of the New Testament books are attributed to Paul and half of the Acts of the Apostles detail Paul's missionary journeys. Paul is especially known for his missionary activity to the Gentiles, those who were not Jews. Peter's role was truly a unique one. His name was changed from “Simon” to “Peter” by Jesus. Recall Jesus saying, “And I tell you, you are Peter (Petros), and on this rock (petra) I will build my church…(Matthew 16:18). “Peter” in Greek is Petros. However, the Greek word petra means a rock as a solid formation that is fixed, immovable, and enduring. Therefore, Jesus chose to make Peter a solid foundation of immovable rock on which the Church was to be built. You, too, have been called by our Lord to a unique mission within the Church that has not been entrusted to another. In your own way, God wants to use you to reach certain people with the Gospel as He did with Saint Paul. And like Saint Peter, God wants to continue to establish His Church upon you and your faith. Reflect, today, upon these two holy and unique pillars of our Church. As you do, ponder how God may want to use you to continue their mission in this world. Though Saints Peter and Paul are among the greatest and most consequential Christians within our world, their mission must continue, and you are among the instruments that God wants to use. Commit yourself to this mission so that the preaching of the Gospel and the rock foundation of our Church will remain strong within our day and age just as it was of old. Saint Peter, you were uniquely chosen to be a rock foundation of faith upon which the Church was established. Saint Paul, you went forth to preach this faith far and wide, establishing many new communities of faith. Please use me, dear Lord, to continue the mission of Your Church so that the faith may be firmly planted in the minds and hearts of all Your people throughout the world. On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank reflects on the end of the fiscal year, underscoring Christian unity and global missions while warning about The Church of Almighty God (Eastern Lightning), which claims a Chinese woman is the reincarnated Christ and the fulfillment of Jesus' Olivet Discourse. Doctrinally deviant and sociologically subversive, this group masquerades as a persecuted Christian movement to advance dangerous dogmas. In CRI's special issue of the Christian Research Journal, believers are equipped to recognize and confront such cults. Hank shows how your prayers, partnership, and generosity make an eternal difference in fulfilling the Great Commission.

June 30-July 6Joseph Smith was tasked by the Lord to do something rather unique for a backwoods, upstate New York farmer now living in Northern Ohio. The Prophet Nephi had seen a vision some two thousand four hundred years before that many of the plain and precious things which were in the Bible had been taken out by the great and abominable Church, and because those plain and precious things were taken away, “an exceedingly great many do stumble, yea, insomuch that Satan hath great power over them.” (See 1 Nephi 13: 26-29) This commandment from the Lord and branch of Joseph's calling would be to carefully go through the Bible and begin to restore many of those plain and precious things that were lost. He was commanded to translate the Bible. And the results would be astounding. We'll talk about this in detail in this episode.

On this episode of the SSPX Interview Series, we sit down with Fr. David Fulton, a diocesan priest of twenty-one years who has spent the last two immersed in the Society's Priests' Training Program. In this episode, Father speaks openly about the challenges he faced in a diocesan environment, particularly the limitations in liturgy, catechesis, and the transmission of the Faith to souls hungry for clarity. We hear what first prompted Father to look more deeply into the traditional liturgy, why the SSPX stood out as the right path forward, and how he navigated the difficult break with his diocese. He gives us an inside look at the Priests' Training Program, especially its intellectual formation, liturgical training, and strong community life. Finally, he offers encouragement to fellow priests who may feel the same longing for Tradition. Now preparing for his first SSPX assignment in Phoenix, Fr. Fulton joins us for Episode 11 of the SSPX Interview Series, reflecting on what he's learned, what he's gained, and the work that still lies ahead View this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/I9CQU0RmqTo See all the episodes: https://sspxpodcast.com/interview We'd love your feedback on this series! podcast@sspx.org – – – – – – – The Society of Saint Pius X offers this series and all of its content free of charge. The main goal of the Society of Saint Pius X is to preserve the Catholic Faith in its fullness and purity, to teach its truths, and to diffuse its virtues, especially through the Roman Catholic priesthood. Authentic spiritual life, the sacraments, and the traditional liturgy are its primary means of bringing this life of grace to souls. Although the traditional Latin Mass is the most visible and public expression of the work of the Society, we are committed to defending Catholic Tradition in its entirety: all of Catholic doctrine and morals as the Church has always defended them. What people need is the Catholic Faith, without compromise, with all the truth and beauty which accompanies it. https://sspx.org
Patrick opens this episode by confronting the struggle parents face with teenagers glued to their phones, offering down-to-earth tools from no-phones-at-the-table rules to the undeniable simplicity of charging stations outside bedrooms. He fields calls on topics like Catholic teaching on medicinal cannabis, quoting Church sources and distinguishing between therapy and recreational use. Listeners bring up Marian doctrine, struggles of being a convert, and the often-misunderstood nature of Confirmation, pushing Patrick to share both personal reflections and resources from the Thomistic Institute. He doesn’t shy away from tough questions either—how a Catholic might find confidence in salvation or what makes Catholicism compelling even for lifelong members—circling back to the raw reality of hope, trust, and the struggle to believe. Expect practical tips, honest guidance, and the kind of off-the-cuff encouragement you rarely get anywhere else. Trending with Timmerie - Catholic Principals applied to today's experiences.
Timmerie shares a sense of awe and joy at the incredible increase in Catholic conversions happening globally... especially in places like France, the U.S., and the U.K. We’re talking up to 70% increases in some dioceses! The Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas had a whopping 72% jump in conversions from 2023 to 2024. Most of these new Catholics are Gen Z and millennials. Yep... young adults in their 20s and 30s are filling the pews and receiving the sacraments like never before. Why the Shift? Culture, COVID, and the Call of Beauty Timmerie mentions interviews from The New York Post, where recent converts shared what drew them to the Church. Themes like: -A deep dissatisfaction with the "feel-good" culture of non-denominational churches -A hunger for reverence, beauty, and structure, especially found in the Mass and its ancient tradition -The disorienting chaos of the world during the pandemic, which made people pause and re-examine their faith. Take Sydney Johnson, a 30-year-old from California. The hustle culture had her burned out. During COVID, she slowed down, turned to prayer, and was captivated by the depth and order of the Catholic tradition. Same for Adrian Lawson, also 30, who struggled with mental health until the Rosary and Catholic community gave him a new lease on life. He said, "Since I started praying the Rosary and converted, I haven't had any of those issues." Lost in the World, Found in the Church A New York priest, Fr. Raymond La Grange, echoed a powerful point: young people are realizing the world can't give them what they're looking for. Everything is arbitrary, and that’s exhausting. They crave something solid, something with order, and they want something real. The Movement Goes Global And it’s not just the U.S. In France, over 10,000 adults converted this Easter alone, a 45% increase... with nearly half aged 18 to 25. Another 7,400 teenagers received the sacraments, up 33%. In the U.K., 41% of young adult churchgoers are now Catholic, compared to just half that being Anglican. Timmerie even heard from French priests and sisters, many from the Community of St. John, who said some conversions are even coming secretly from Islam, with people risking everything to follow Christ. The sisters emphasized that, even in secular and anti-religious environments, God is still calling hearts, and people are responding. Evangelization Is Working... And We’re All Part of It A French sister told Timmere that this surge is happening because people are evangelizing boldly: sharing the Gospel, standing for truth, inviting others into the Church. That’s our mission too. People are yearning for something more... something whole, transcendent, and healing. The Catholic Church offers exactly that.
In the ninth episode of "The Fundamentals of Prayer," Brother Duane teaches the importance of understanding the different kinds of prayer. Scripture focuses mainly on the prayer of faith and the prayer of agreement. In Timothy 2:1, the apostle Paul mentions supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks. Knowing how to pray is crucial to the effectiveness of our prayers.https://pastorduane.com/fundamentals-of-prayer/

It's Friday, June 27th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Court acquits Christian man of blasphemy against Islam On June 25th, the Pakistani Supreme Court ordered the acquittal of an elderly Christian man on death row for 23 years on a blasphemy against Islam conviction, reports Morning Star News. A three-judge bench acquitted Anwar Kenneth, age 72, of the blasphemy allegations. His attorney, Rana Hameed, himself a Muslim, explained that a person of unsound mind could not be held liable for such a crime. He added that this case highlights the plight of dozens of other blasphemy prisoners who are also suffering from mental health challenges, yet their cases have been pending for years. Defense Secretary Hegseth defends success of bombing Iran Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth defended President Trump's characterization that the Iranian nuclear sites were obliterated. HEGSETH: “President Trump directed the most complex and secretive military operation in history. And it was a resounding success, resulting in a cease fire agreement and the end of the 12 Day War. “There's been a lot of discussion about what happened and what didn't happen. Step back for a second. Because of decisive military action, President Trump created the conditions to end the war, decimating, choose your word, obliterating, destroying Iran's nuclear capabilities.” At a press conference at the NATO Summit in The Hague, Netherlands on June 25th, Secretary Hegseth added this. HEGSETH: “There's a reason the President calls out fake news for what it is. These pilots, these refuelers, these fighters, these air defenders -- the skill and the courage it took to go into enemy territory, flying 36 hours, on behalf of the American people and the world to take out a nuclear program is beyond what anyone in this audience can fathom. “And then, the instinct of CNN, the instinct of The New York Times is to try to find a way to spin it for their own political reasons, to try to hurt President Trump or our country. They don't care what the troops think. They don't care what the world thinks. They want to spin it to try to make him look bad based on a leak. “What do leakers do? They have agendas. And what do they do? Do they share the whole information, or just the part that they want to introduce? And when they introduce that preliminary report, that's deemed to be a low assessment, you know, a low assessment means low confidence in the data in that report. “And why is there low confidence? Because all of the evidence of what was just bombed by twelve 30,000-pound bombs is buried under a mountain, devastated and obliterated. So, if you want to make an assessment of what happened at Fordow, you better get a big shovel and go really deep, because Iran's nuclear program is obliterated. “Somebody, somewhere is trying to leak something to say, ‘Oh, with low confidence, we think maybe it's moderate.' Those that dropped the bombs precisely in the right place know exactly what happened when that exploded. And you know who else knows? Iran! “That's why they came to the table right away because their nuclear capabilities have been set back beyond what they thought were possible because of the courage of a Commander-in-Chief who led our troops, despite what the fake news wants to say.” Supreme Court rules South Carolina can defund Planned Parenthood In a 6-3 decision yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that South Carolina has the right to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business, reports LifeNews. The pro-life state wants to be able to block taxpayer funding for the abortion business under Medicaid, but the abortion company sued to block that action. The Supreme Court ruled that South Carolina has the power to block funding. In the decision, written by Justice Neil Gorsuch, the Supreme Court said Medicaid laws do not give individuals the right to bring federal lawsuits against states. The high court's ruling means that the state can direct Medicaid funding—funds intended to help low-income individuals obtain necessary medical assistance—to comprehensive health care rather than entities that exist primarily to perform abortions. South Carolina Republican Governor Henry McMaster issued executive orders barring the pro-abortion organization from receiving reimbursements for non-abortion services like cancer screenings, STD testing, and contraception -- arguing that the funding just frees the abortion business to spend funds killing babies. Governor McMaster is living up to the command of Proverbs 31:8 which says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt weighed in. LEAVITT: “As for the Supreme Court ruling, the President has always maintained that Americans should not be forced to violate their conscience and their religious liberty by having their tax dollars fund abortions, and we're glad the Supreme Court ruled on that side.” Two who stopped gunman at Michigan church hailed as heroes Two members of CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan are being hailed as heroes for helping to stop a gunman who attempted to carry out a mass shooting during the church's worship service this past Sunday, reports the Christian Post. The men, Deacon Richard Pryor and Ron Amann, a member of the church's security team, are being celebrated for their efforts in stopping 31-year-old Brian Browning. According to the police report cited by the Detroit Free Press, Browning, the gunman, was dressed in camouflage clothing and a tactical vest as he approached the church entrance armed with an AR-15-style rifle and 500 rounds of ammunition. He opened fire at the church shortly after 11:00am. Steven Lewellyn, a fellow church member, wrote, "Richard was in the parking lot and saw the shooter walking towards the door. In a moment of quick thinking and incredible bravery, Richard sped towards the man, hitting him with his truck and giving armed security crucial extra seconds to get to the scene and prevent further harm." The gunman shot multiple rounds into the truck, but thankfully did not hurt Richard Pryor, who was running late for church that morning. Providentially, just three days before the shooting, Ron Amann told WXYZ that he was one of three members of the church's safety team who attended training at Peacemakers Shooting Range. AMANN: “When we formed this team, I just knew it was my calling to protect my family and my church family.” Amann described what he heard last Sunday. AMANN: "Popping, a pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop noise that I couldn't quite identify. It stopped. I heard it again, and probably within a few seconds after that, someone came running in the back of the sanctuary and said, there's a shooter out there.” After he sent his family to safety, he ran toward the shooting. AMANN: "He [shooter] was sitting on the ground with a rifle, and he was sitting away from me, so he turned to make a sweep of the glass with his gun and just held the trigger and shot through. "He just started spraying bullets into the lobby, went through the glass, shattered it, and then, that's when it caught my leg and spun me around.” Another member of the church's safety team, Jay Trombley, fatally shot Browning. Amann is convinced that God prepared them for that moment. AMANN: “Being a person of faith and having a relationship with God, I believe He orchestrated all of the preparations and prepared us exactly for what we encountered.” Kate Dunphy, the organizer of the GoFundMe campaign for the church security volunteer who was shot in the leg, wrote, "Ron's tibia was shattered and required extensive surgery to place a rod at the leg injury. This injury will have approximately 3-5 months of physical recovery and rehabilitation. God spared Ron's life and was mighty in His protection over the security team and congregation.” She cited Psalm 37:23-24 which says, “The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when He delights in His way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand.” I want to hear from children under the age of 18 I would love to share 3 emails on Monday, June 30th from kids between the ages of 5 and 17 who listen to The Worldview. What do you like about this Christian newscast? And why would you urge listeners who have not yet given, to make a donation to help pay for our team to put it all together? Parents, for the younger ones, please include their full name, city and state. Just ask them those two questions and type up their answers. Better yet, if you record a short 15 to 30-second video on your phone, you can email that to me, and I'll grab the audio from it. Send the email to Adam@TheWorldview.com One last thing. Don't forget to include their age. 6 Worldview listeners gave $1,393 to fund our annual budget And finally, toward our $123,500 goal by Monday, June 30th to fully fund The Worldview's annual budget for our 6-member team, 6 listeners stepped up to the plate yesterday. We're grateful to God for Pat in Park Ridge, Illinois who gave $25, Joshua in Goddard, Kansas who gave $50, and Jody in Westerlo, New York who gave $100. And we were touched by the generosity of Rose in Everson, Washington who gave $118, Ann in Albuquerque, New Mexico who gave $500, and David in Crestview, Florida who pledged $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600. Those 6 Worldview listeners gave $1,393. Plus, we've tallied up the one-time donations to The Worldview between January 1, 2025 and May 31, 2025 and they total $8,625. In addition, we totaled the existing monthly pledges to The Worldview which preceded June 1st, and they total $23,160. Between the 6 new donations which came in yesterday and the donations which preceded the beginning of this month-long fundraiser, listeners have given a total of $33,178. Ready for our new grand total? Drum roll please. (Drum roll sound effect) $104,086.55 (People clapping and cheering sound effect) That means by this coming Monday, June 30th, we need to raise $19,413.45 in just 4 days. That's $4,853 per day! He is counted as one of the Holy Unmercenary Physicians. "This saint was born of rich and eminent parents in ancient Rome, where he studied all the secular wisdom of that time, devoting himself in particular to the study of medicine. Sampson was a compassionate and liberal physician, and gave the sick medicine for both soul and body, counselling each man to fulfil the requirements of the Christian faith. He moved to Constantinople, where he lived in a tiny house from which he distributed alms, comfort, advice, hope, medicine and all possible aid to those suffering in spirit and in body. The Patriarch heard of Sampson's great virtue and ordained him priest. At that time the Emperor Justinian the Great became ill with what his doctors believed to be an incurable disease. The Emperor prayed with great fervor, and God revealed to him in his sleep that Sampson would heal him. When the Emperor summoned Sampson to court, the old man had only to put his hand on the diseased place and the Emperor was healed. When Justinian offered him an immense sum of money, Sampson thanked him but would accept nothing, saying to the Emperor: 'O Emperor, I had silver and gold and other riches, but I left it all for the sake of Christ, that I might gain heavenly and eternal wealth.' When the Emperor insisted on doing something for him, Sampson asked him to build a house for the poor. In that home, Sampson cared for the poor as a father cares for his children. His compassion for the poor and weak was second nature to him. This holy man, filled with heavenly power and goodness, entered peacefully into rest on June 27th, 530. He was buried in the Church of the Holy Martyr Mocius, his kinsman. After his death, Sampson appeared many times to those who called upon him for aid." (Prologue)
Here's a brief selection of headlines representing news stories that made the cut as Jim presented another edition of the News Round-Up. Numerous stories included audio as well. --After the U.S. strike on Iran earlier this week, Israel's Prime Minister and President Trump agreed to a rapid end to the war in Gaza and expansion of the Abraham Accords. --Mohammad Eslami, head of the Islamic Republic's Atomic Energy Organization told the state-run Mehr news agency that Tehran aims to avoid any disruption in its nuclear industry, although he didn't clarify whether that included military activities. --Following the Iranian parliament speaker's announcement regarding the suspension of cooperation with the IAEA and the acceleration of Iran's nuclear program, members of the parliament stood up and chanted, "Death to America. Death to Israel." --With his nuclear program in tatters, Iran's supreme leader declared victory over America on Thursday. --President Trump said on Wednesday he's fully prepared to authorize further strikes on Iran's nuclear program if the hard-line regime attempts to reconstitute its heavily damaged atomic infrastructure. He signaled that such an outcome is unlikely since America's air strikes knocked it out for years to come. --A top Iranian military commander who was declared dead by the New York Times during the 12 day war with Israel is apparently still alive. --President Trump said he would likely seek a commitment from Iran to end its nuclear ambitions at talks next week. --Senators remain divided about the success of the American military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.
Send us a textWhen we've been hurt or rejected, vengeance may be something we desire. Christian maturity helps us build capacities to defer and fend off the need for vengeance. In this episode, Melissa and Bishop Wright have a conversation about vengeance. Using Luke 9:51-62, they unpack Jesus' response when his disciples wanted to "rain fire and brimstone" on a Samaritan village that rejected them. Jesus rebukes their desire for vengeance suggesting that vengeance distracts those who have decided to pursue the kingdom of God. Whether we're discussing global conflicts or personal relationships, the space between being triggered and responding represents our opportunity for growth. "Whatever triggers you is trying to set you free," Bishop Wright notes, suggesting our reactions point to places where healing is needed. Listen in for the full conversation. Full Text of ReadingsSolemnity of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Lectionary: 172The Saint of the day is Saint Cyril of AlexandriaSaint Cyril of Alexandria's Story Saints are not born with halos around their heads. Cyril, recognized as a great teacher of the Church, began his career as archbishop of Alexandria, Egypt, with impulsive, often violent, actions. He pillaged and closed the churches of the Novatian heretics—who required those who denied the faith to be re-baptized—participated in the deposing of Saint John Chrysostom, and confiscated Jewish property, expelling the Jews from Alexandria in retaliation for their attacks on Christians. Cyril's importance for theology and Church history lies in his championing the cause of orthodoxy against the heresy of Nestorius, who taught that in Christ there were two persons, one human and one divine. The controversy centered around the two natures in Christ. Nestorius would not agree to the title “God-bearer” for Mary. He preferred “Christ-bearer,” saying there are two distinct persons in Christ—divine and human—joined only by a moral union. He said Mary was not the mother of God but only of the man Christ, whose humanity was only a temple of God. Nestorianism implied that the humanity of Christ was a mere disguise. Presiding as the pope's representative at the Council of Ephesus in 431, Cyril condemned Nestorianism and proclaimed Mary truly the “God-bearer”—the mother of the one Person who is truly God and truly human. In the confusion that followed, Cyril was deposed and imprisoned for three months, after which he was welcomed back to Alexandria. Besides needing to soften some of his opposition to those who had sided with Nestorius, Cyril had difficulties with some of his own allies, who thought he had gone too far, sacrificing not only language but orthodoxy. Until his death, his policy of moderation kept his extreme partisans under control. On his deathbed, despite pressure, he refused to condemn the teacher of Nestorius. Reflection Lives of the saints are valuable not only for the virtue they reveal but also for the less admirable qualities that also appear. Holiness is a gift of God to us as human beings. Life is a process. We respond to God's gift, but sometimes with a lot of zigzagging. If Cyril had been more patient and diplomatic, the Nestorian church might not have risen and maintained power so long. But even saints must grow out of immaturity, narrowness, and selfishness. It is because they—and we—do grow, that we are truly saints, persons who live the life of God. Saint of the Day, Copyright Franciscan Media

Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to have back on the show for a second time: United Church Minister turned whistleblower, Canadian Hero, humanitarian, father of two, published writer and author, public speaker and podcaster, documentary filmmaker, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, co-founder of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State, righteous soul, and Eagle Strong Voice: Kevin AnnettIn case you missed either of Kevin's past 2 episodes or the ‘Movie Night' feature where we aired his acclaimed documentary, ‘Unrepentant', here is a brief intro to his testimony and background along with some information on what we will be talking about today: Born in Edmonton in 1956, Kevin's early life was steeped in a deep sense of justice and curiosity about the world. Educated at the University of British Columbia, he earned degrees in Anthropology, Political Science and beyond preparing him for a life of service. Ordained in 1990, he began his ministry in Port Alberni, British Columbia, in 1992, unaware that this small coastal town would become the crucible for his life's mission. It was here, among a community scarred by poverty and historical trauma, that Kevin first heard the heart-wrenching stories of Indigenous survivors of the residential schools - stories of abuse, cultural erasure, and unimaginable loss. What began as an effort to open his church's doors to Indigenous congregants quickly transformed into a profound awakening. Survivors shared accounts of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, including deliberate programming designed to silence them through fear, shame, and self-destruction. Kevin learned of the sinister mechanisms of mind control - techniques rooted in trauma-based programming, akin to the CIA's MKULTRA experiments, used to break spirits and ensure compliance. Kevin's pursuit of truth came at a profound personal cost. His refusal to stay silent led to his dismissal from the United Church in 1995, followed by a campaign of defamation, blacklisting, and the painful loss of his family. Yet, these trials only deepened his resolve. He saw the parallels between the survivors' programmed silence and the societal denial that shielded the perpetrators. Undeterred, he founded the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) in 2010, uniting survivors across 26 countries to seek justice. The ITCCS prosecuted figures like Pope Benedict and Canadian officials for crimes against humanity, sparking global awareness of child trafficking and institutional abuse. Friends of the Rosary,Today, on the Friday after the Second Sunday after Pentecost (Corpus Christi Sunday), is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, signifying that Christ loves every one of us, without exception, with a human heart."The Son of God... loved me and gave himself for me" (Gal 2:20).The Catechism of the Catholic Church (478) explains, "Jesus knew and loved us each and all during his life, his agony and his Passion, and gave himself up for each one of us."The Sacred Heart of Jesus, pierced by our sins and for our salvation (Cf. Jn 19:34), reflects the infinite love of the divine Redeemer. The institution of the feast was a result of the appearances of our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1675. The celebration of the feast was extended to the General Roman Calendar of the Church by Pius IX in 1856.Today is also the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Are all kids tech-obsessed these days? Maybe—but some young minds are uniquely wired to build, create, and tinker. Today's episode shares how to connect Tech Obsessed Kids to God's Word. Expert guest Allen Brokken joins host Tina Yeager to show us how to reach and disciple kids who might otherwise feel left out in traditional church settings. Here are some highlights and practical takeaways from the conversation: Understanding the Tech-Obsessed Child Allen shares from his personal journey as a lifelong “technology kid,” explaining how classic Sunday school—full of singing, listening, and sitting—often feels alienating for kinesthetic learners who need to use their hands and engage deeply with how things work. Biblical Crafts & Hands-On Faith Did you know the Bible is full of design blueprints and craftspeople? From the Ark to the Temple, scripture is teeming with detailed constructions and creative talents. Allen suggests inviting kids to sketch, build, or even 3D print biblical objects, helping them see themselves in God's story. Not Just More Screen Time While we often link technology with screens, Allen encourages us to broaden our definition of tech engagement. Let kids craft, sew, tackle puzzles, or model biblical artifacts—offering them tactile, service-oriented projects that echo examples like Dorcas in the New Testament. Resources for Parents & Leaders Free projects & workbooks: Allen's website, towersoflight.net, offers free resources and a blog series with hands-on activities to align with scripture. Tech tip: For screen-loving kids, try Bible-based builds in Minecraft or digital Lego tools like BrickLink Studio. Homeschool curriculum: Check out multimedia language arts units combined with hands-on projects and audiobook learning for kids. Intentional Inclusion Catch subtle cues—like glazed eyes or restless fingers—that signal a disengaged child. Simple strategies, such as leading questions during scripture reading or collaborative design projects, can transform frustration into inspiration. Get Connected Find more project ideas, curriculum details, and Allen's award-winning children's fiction at towersoflight.net/subscribe. You'll also receive their free newsletter with regular, creative ideas for engaging tech-minded kids. Let's inspire every child to find their place in God's story—not just as learners, but as creators, problem-solvers, and world-changers. In this series we're going to study through the book of 1 Corinthians to deepen our spiritual maturity. All of us need to be more intentional with our spiritual growth. Paul, the author of this letter, will challenge us, just as he challenges the church at Corinth, to move into a deeper level of spiritual maturity.

Where do we worship God? Everywhere! To present our bodies as a living sacrifice is our "reasonable" act of worship, Paul writes. That Greek word denotes something "pertaining to the mind and soul." More than just physical service: we're offering every part of ourselves - spirit, soul and body. And that happens everywhere! One more word that we need to know for today's study, is "publican." That's a tax collector; a man of low status in the first century. This summer, we're taking a short break from our regular podcast format, and instead have selected various installments from past message series given by James Emery White at Mecklenburg Community Church where he serves as the Senior Pastor. Today's episode comes from a series we called "The Science of God" with this installment focusing on "The Science of Faith." You see, there are many deal-breakers for those who are unchurched when it comes to the Christian faith. The biggest deal-breaker, though, seems to be what lies in the realm of public truth, meaning science. The existence of God, creation, evolution, the latest discoveries in astrophysics... that's where people long for answers. But how do you find answers when it comes to something like faith? Episode Links Below you'll find the link to the full series if that's something you are interested in checking out, along with the sources that were used in the development of the message itself: "The Science of God" Ed Stetzer, “When Will Churches Be Back? We are not in World War III. We are not in the Tribulation. What we are in, is a season of separation. God is once again calling a remnant to rise. Not a popular people—but a set-apart people. Not those caught in the tides of the world, but those rooted in the Spirit of the Living God. We are entering a new phase—a time where deep trust in the Lord will be non-negotiable. His presence must be our oxygen. His Word must be our compass. And yes, this will require sacrifice. Some relationships won't come with us. Some comforts will have to die. But His glory is worth it. 1. Matthew 24:6–8 (NKJV) “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” 2. Hebrews 12:26–27 (NKJV) “…yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven. Now this, ‘Yet once more,' indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.” 3. 2 Timothy 3:1–5 (NKJV) “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 4. 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 5. Romans 12:1–2 (NKJV) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” 6. Psalm 91:1–2 (NKJV) “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.'” 7. 2 Corinthians 6:17–18 (NKJV) “Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.' ‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.'” 8. Isaiah 60:1–2 (NKJV) “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.” 9. Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” 10. John 15:19 (NKJV) “If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” We are not in World War III. We are in a spiritual crossroad. The end is not yet. But the separation has begun. • God is separating wheat from tares. • He's calling His remnant to the secret place. • He's asking for trust, sacrifice, and obedience. • Some relationships won't survive this season. That's okay. • What matters is your alignment with the Spirit. CCLI: 21943673 Be the remnant.
Church of England rev with a difference Jamie Franklin sits down to talk about the biggest stories of the week. On the agenda this time can only be the passing of laws in Britain decriminalising abortion up to birth and legalising state-sponsored suicide. We also look at the Bishop of Manchester's denial that so-called "grooming gangs" had anything to do with race, ethnicity or religion despite this claim being flatly contradicted by the Casey report. In a world that is looking increasingly dark, how should Christians and the Church respond? Buy Jamie's Book! THE GREAT RETURNYou make this podcast possible.
