This week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, I am delighted to welcome Julie and Art of The Places Where We Go podcast and accompanying YouTube and blog. The Places Where We Go chronicles Julie and Art's reflections of traveling throughout the world and across the US. Their mode of travel varies—cruises, land resorts, road trips, and hikes—and the places where they go are just as diverse. Julie and Art recently returned from an almost month-long dream trip beginning with five days in London. They then boarded Princess Cruises Island Princess in Southampton for a 14-day Baltic and Scandinavia cruise. What an itinerary: Bornholm, Denmark; Stockholm, Sweden; Tallinn, Estonia; Riga, Latvia; Klaipeda, Lithuania; Gdansk, Poland; Visby, Denmark; and disembarking in Copenhagen, Denmark. Julie and Art capped off their trip with five days in Copenhagen before flying back to their home in southern California. I was excited when Julie and Art indicated they were available to share a recap and highlights of their journey. I wanted you the listeners to enjoy the trip through Julie and Art's eyes and words, and selfishly speaking it's a part of the world that I am unfamiliar with and am anxious to get some insight about.Support the show

Only joint European-wide effort will allow us to overcome the crisis and emerge stronger from it. Wojciech Dąbrowski is the President of the Management Board of Polish Electricity Association (PKEE) and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna. Time for reunion Europe is in a serious crisis that has affected not only the entire continent but also a large part of the world. Just when it seemed to us that we were recovering from the perturbations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine started. The effects of this invasion are visible in many areas. Therefore, in the face of the collapse of the existing security architecture and cooperation systems, it is particularly important that we build strong and stable relationships with appropriate, trusted partners. With this in mind, on the initiative of the Polish Electricity Association, the Central and Eastern European Energy Forum was held in Warsaw on November 7-8. During the conference, representatives of the largest energy groups from the region and industry experts discussed issues such as energy security and the future of the EU energy sector. Central and Eastern Europe – many countries, one spirit The countries of Central and Eastern Europe share a common history. It combines comprehension and understanding of certain phenomena. We have emerged from behind the Iron Curtain, we are part of the European Union and we are implementing many projects aimed at increasing the energy security of our region. Investments such as the Polish gas terminal in Świnoujście or the Lithuanian LNG terminal in Klaipeda, the Baltic Pipe, Poland-Lithuania interconnector, Poland-Slovakia interconnector and the Poland-Czech Republic gas pipeline confirm that diversifying sources is an effective method of minimizing the negative effects of dependence on supplies from only one direction. In addition, created in cooperation with Polish Transmission System Operator – Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne and Lithuanian Litgrid the LitPol Link grid connection has been operating since 2015. The synchronization of the Baltic republics with the European energy network will be completed by a second connection – the Harmony Link submarine cable.

*Kas TalTech on nüüdsest medalipretendent? *Tartu Bigbankile kaks väärt võitu lähikonkurentide üle. Kes olid võidu arhitektid? *Taktikaline lahendus, mis tõi tartlastele viiendas geimis mängus Selveriga edu. *Pärnu Võrkpalliklubi ja nende lätlased. *Saaremaa ja Leedu ainsa klubi Klaipeda mäng pakkus ootamatult palju põnevat. *Robert Tähe ja Timo Tammemaa hetkeseis Poola tippklubis Resovias. *Nädala tsitaat kuulub Raivo Jeenasele. *Ootamatu uudis: Friedrichshafeni kodusaal otsustati päevapealt maha lammutada.

In realtà stavano cercando a Amesbury.
In realtà stavano cercando a Amesbury. Musik: Jesper Norda
Eastern Europe has been taking LNG deliveries while reloads have been prevalent in western Europe. ICIS natural gas and LNG experts Ed Cox and Tom Marzec-Manser discuss the reasons for this and whether it can continue.

Litauen, Baltikum, Kurische Nehrung.
