(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Myanmar ceasefire extended to June 30 despite consistent violations The military junta ruling Myanmar announced last week that it would extend a temporary ceasefire, originally established in early April, to June 30, reports International Christian Concern. A massive earthquake struck the country in late March, killing 3,700 people and necessitating extensive relief work in hard-hit civilian areas. Opposition militias agreed to the extended ceasefire, creating hope for improved humanitarian conditions in June despite regular junta violations of the ceasefire up to now. In the first three weeks of the ceasefire alone, the U.N. tracked at least 172 junta attacks, including airstrikes and artillery assaults. The open-source research group Bellingcat documented that at least 22 villages were bombed by the junta in violation of the ceasefire agreement. Senator Cruz wants June to be “Life” month because Roe was overturned Last Thursday, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas introduced a resolution to designate June as Life month to honor the anniversary of the Supreme Court's monumental Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022. CRUZ: “Three years ago, the Supreme Court made an historic advance in the cause of life in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. The court overturned Roe v. Wade, a flawed decision that for nearly 50 years enshrined one of the most disturbing notions in our constitutional history: that the Constitution somehow protects the right to end the life of an unborn child. “The fact is, Roe had nothing to do with the Constitution. It was invented whole cloth. It was the product of judicial activism, nine justices legislating from the bench. And that dangerous path took decades to correct. “Thankfully, in 2022, Roe was overturned. Dobbs did not impose any new policies from the bench. Instead, the task of protecting life falls where it always should have been -- not in the hands of unelected judges, but in the hands of the American people.” Canadian pastor imprisoned for objecting to Drag Queen Story Hour Calgary Pastor Derek Reimer, a street preacher who has had the courage to object to drag queen story hours for children in libraries, is back in jail in Alberta, Canada, reports the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The conviction came after Reimer confronted a library manager over a Drag Queen Story Hour event, reports Rebel News. Wearing a GoPro, he walked into the library, spoke to a few attendees, and eventually found the room where the event was taking place. He told the manager the program was "pervert grooming" and warned, "We're going to make your name public and hold you accountable." Security escorted him out peacefully. Later, he posted the video online — along with the manager's name, workplace, and the library phone number — calling on viewers to voice their opposition. Only one person reportedly contacted her, but the librarian testified that she became afraid of what might happen next. She shut down her social media accounts and said Reimer's words left her anxious and fearful. The 38-year-old pastor was arrested and accused of breaching the house arrest condition of his sentence for simply participating in a public rally before his own court appearance. Pastor Reimer, who has now been jailed unjustly at the Calgary Remand Centre for over a month, has been treated badly. The judicial officials have blocked all visitors from seeing him, even the ones who were pre-approved. The only ones allowed to visit Pastor Reimer are his wife, Mona, and their baby. Derek's lawyer, Andrew Mackenzie, hopes that media attention on Reimer's unfair treatment will lead to a more positive outcome. Concerned Christian friends have been gathering for a rally of support at the Remand Centre every Sunday afternoon at 4:30pm, protesting Pastor Reimer's incarceration and bail denial. Please pray for justice to be served on Pastor Reimer's next court date on Monday, June 23rd. On June 5th, Pastor Reimer posted Psalm 138:7 on his Facebook page. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Iran arrested two Christians Article 18 reports that authorities in Iran arrested two Christians last Thursday. Nasser Navard Gol-Tapeh and Joseph Shabazian are both in their 60s. They had previously spent a combined six years in prison for leading house churches. They originally received 10-year sentences, but were released part way through. It's not clear why officials arrested Nasser and Joseph again. But the Middle Eastern country is known for arresting anyone who is not aligned with the Islamic regime on “security” charges. Iran is ranked ninth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian. In Matthew 5:10, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” British Christian teacher vindicated for objecting to transgender agenda Yesterday, an appeals court in the United Kingdom ruled in favor of a Christian teacher who lost her job over her Facebook posts. A Church of England primary school in Gloucestershire fired Kristie Higgs in 2019. This came after she posted a petition on Facebook that opposed mandatory sex education in schools. She also posted an article that challenged transgender ideology. Higgs has spent the last six years fighting the school's decision to fire her. HIGGS: “Nobody should lose their job for raising concerns. The biggest thing for me was that it was a Church of England School. They should be going by what God says, but now they're changing it, and that's just alarming. Just to see a boy in girl's clothing. Another one, My Princess Boy. To some people, it may appear to be okay, but when you know the Lord, you know His ways, and you know a boy cannot be a princess. A boy shouldn't dress up in Princess' clothing. “I knew what these books were. I knew that it was wrong. I could see through it, and I praise God for that. I encourage others to stand up against the ideology and the agendas that are being pushed. You know, we don't have to, don't have to agree to everything. We don't have to go with the flow. The Lord is with us and will help us through it all.” After her victory yesterday, Higgs said, “I pray that today will prove to be a landmark day for Christian freedoms and free speech. … The Court of Appeal has now set a clear standard to protect people like me, and the countless other Christians in this nation, to express their beliefs without fear of losing their jobs.” Trump chatted with Russian President Vladimir Putin U.S. President Donald Trump spoke over the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday. It's the first known conversation between the two leaders since the start of Trump's second term. Trump described the conversation as “lengthy and highly productive.” He announced the two countries would begin immediate negotiations for ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. Trump said he also had a good conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy yesterday. The conversations come as the United States and Russia complete a prisoner exchange this week. Tulsi Gabbard confirmed as National Intelligence Director Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who became a Republican and endorsed Donald Trump for President last October, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the position of director of national intelligence, reports The Epoch Times. Gabbard was confirmed in a 52–48 vote on Wednesday. Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was the only Republican to vote against Gabbard. SENATOR: “Yays are 52. Nays are 48. Nomination is confirmed.” Yesterday's confirmation follows a contentious few weeks of debate over Gabbard's qualifications and judgment, in which lawmakers from both sides of the aisle asked probing questions about her views on Russia, ousted Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, and Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who leaked classified information. Listen to this exchange between Republican Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas and Gabbard on the topic of Russia as she appeared before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. MORAN: “I want to make certain that in no way does Russia get a pass in either your mind or your heart or in any policy recommendation you would make or not make.” GABBARD: “Senator, I'm offended by the question because my sole focus, commitment, and responsibility is about our own nation, our own security, and the interests of the American people. In carrying out the responsibilities of the Director of National Intelligence, if confirmed, no country, group or individual will get a pass in my fulfilling that responsibility of providing that full intelligence picture so that you all can make the best informed policy decisions for the safety, security, and freedom of the American people. “You have my commitment to be completely objective, unbiased, and apolitical. And I hope you understand my commitment to our country's interest.” MORAN: “I absolutely do. You have answered my question in the manner in which I wanted to hear, that you will do this in an objective manner, provide the information necessary, and that Russia, if it's a threat, you will tell us so and tell us the details of that threat.” GABBARD: “Yes. Senator.” After President Trump introduced her at the Oval Office, Gabbard was sworn in by Attorney General Pam Bondi. GABBARD: “I, Tulsi Gabbard, do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I'm about to enter. So help me, God.” CDC website purged references to LGBTQ lifestyle and affirmed adoption The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is changing its website under the Trump administration. The CDC is editing or removing references on its website to “transgender” individuals, “LGBTQ+ health,” and diversity, equity and inclusion. Its website also suggests adoption when people search for abortion. Trump: No more drag shows at Kennedy Center And finally, President Trump announced last Friday that he is removing liberal agendas from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The national cultural center of the United States is located in Washington, D.C. Congress authorized the center in 1958, requiring it to be sustained through private funds. Trump said he fired multiple people on the center's board of trustees, becoming the chairman himself. Tuesday, July 4th, 1944. It's been twenty-nine days since the Allies first stormed the beaches of Normandy. They've continued to slowly push inland, but the battle for control of the Caen has raged onward. CBS is there with up-to-the-minute news. On Saturday July 1st, A counterattack by German Panzer Corps failed to dislodge the British Second Army around Caen. When OB West Gerd von Rundstedt phoned Berlin to report the failure, Chief of Staff Wilhelm Keitel asked, “what shall we do?” Rundstedt replied, “Make peace you fools!” He was fired the next day. Meanwhile the U.S. 133rd Infantry Regiment captured Cecina in Tuscany, Italy. They'd enter Siena on Monday the 3rd. At the same time Allies and Japanese forces began battling in New Guinea and The Battle of Imphal in India ended in Allied victory. On the morning of the Fourth, Minsk, the last big German stronghold on Soviet soil, finally fell. This kind of war created a need for fast news relays, so much so that for the first time, news was being recorded on the battlefront. On Independence Day 1944, needing to push further inland from Normandy, the task fell to the 79th and 90th Divisions as well as the 82nd Airborne, all of whom had to assault uphill and around a large marsh in the low ground, while twelve Nazi divisions lay in wait, including several Panzer units. The troops fought yard by yard, making slow but steady progress at a high cost. The 90th Division alone lost over 500 men that day. This same day, General Omar Bradley had artillery units in the US First Army open fire on the German lines precisely at noon. Some units fired red, white, and blue smoke shells at the Germans. The message was clear: The Americans were in Western Europe and they wouldn't be leaving until victory was achieved. ____________ The man you just heard was Norman Lewis Corwin. He was born on May 3rd, 1910 in Boston, Massachusetts. The third of four children, his mother Rose was a homemaker, and his father, Samuel, a printer. Norman graduated from Winthrop High School, but unlike his brothers, he did not attend college. Instead, he got a job at the Greenfield Reporter as a Cub newsman at seventeen. Corwin was later hired by the Springfield Republican where he worked as an editor. He became known for his column "Radiosyncracies." His first exposure to professional Radio broadcasting came with an opportunity to air an interview regarding one of the human interest stories he'd written. Station WBZA soon needed a newsreader and sought to have the position filled with someone from the local paper. Corwin got the job. By 1929 Corwin fashioned his own broadcast over WBZA, a combination of piano interludes interwoven with Corwin's original poetry readings. He called the program Rhymes and Cadences. In 1931, Corwin traveled to Europe with his older brother, witnessing the growing fascism, social and religious unrest, and political turmoil. It helped shape his broadcasting career. In June 1935, he went to Cincinnati to work at WLW. He soon learned that any on-air reportage of collective bargaining efforts were grounds for immediate dismissal. Objecting, he was fired. Eventually he got the ACLU's backing and got the policy changed. Corwin came to New York, finding work as a publicist for 20th Century-Fox. He soon proposed a poetry and music program for WQXR. The program was called Poetic License, and it wasn't long before both NBC and CBS took notice. A few days shy of his twenty-eighth birthday in 1938, CBS hired Corwin as a director for One-Hundred-Twenty-Five-Dollars per-week. Within a few months he directed his first Columbia Workshop experimental drama, “The Red Badge of Courage,” airing July 9th, 1938. On the night of Sunday October 30th, 1938, Corwin was rehearsing the pilot for a new program, Words Without Music. Downstairs, Orson Welles was broadcasting his infamous Mercury Theater “War of The Worlds.”

Unless repeated questioning crosses the line into harassment, it can be an effective technique of cross-examination. Objecting “asked and answered” is a way of coaching the witness because it is not actually objectionable to ask a question multiple times. Saying “asked and answered” can be a way of telling the witness not to change his testimony from what he said before. Also, as every lawyer knows, when the defending attorney objects “asked and answered,” often the question really wasn't answered, so the objection becomes a suggestion to the witness to continue refusing to answer the question, which is what happened here. Defense counsel's instruction not to answer based on his “asked and answered” objection is overruled. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Similarities between Communist persecution & U.S. COVID shutdowns An expert who tackles Chinese Christian persecution sounded the alarm this week on parallels he sees between crackdowns perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party and America's COVID shutdowns, reports FaithWire.com. Bob Fu, president of ChinaAid, said, “It is very shocking and horrible to see American society's transformation evolving from its constitutional basis.” The nonprofit leader, who became a Christian in the Chinese underground church and even went to prison for leading house churches before escaping in 1996, said he believes the American Left is increasingly turning to “dictatorial” tactics, refusing to allow diverse voices. Fu said, “I saw the governor of California, [Gavin Newsom], basically proscribe and order the church to shut down and say not only when they can worship, but how. The ways that he threatened to punish those churches and pastors sometimes were word-for-word exactly the same as what the Chinese Communist Party is using against the Chinese churches.” Russian Christian fined for objecting to war against Ukraine Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Christian Russians who express their opposition to it on grounds of their faith, continue to be detained and fined under Russia's wartime laws punishing "discrediting the Armed Forces,” reports Evangelical Focus. Police arrested Rostislav Charushin in Moscow because he made a poster that quoted three of the Bible's Ten Commandments including “Thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20:13) He was fined twice on March 9 for both “discreditation” and violating the so-called Demonstrations Law. The political game at play in Trump's possible arrest Despite former President Trump's prediction that he would be arrested this past Tuesday over alleged hush payments he made indirectly to a disreputable actress, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg did not arrest him. Appearing on Fox News, Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio, the House Judiciary Committee Chair, pointed to the political agenda at play. JORDAN: “First, they went after President Trump on Russia. Then, it was a phone call with [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy. Then, they wanted his tax return. Then, they go after his business records. Then, they go after his children. And now it's some misdemeanor alleged bookkeeping error. “And this is from the prosecutor who initially didn't want to do this. In fact, he had people resign because he wasn't going to do this because no one else would bring this case. I mean, the DOJ didn't bring the case. The federal district in New York didn't bring the case. The previous prosecutor in the district there in Manhattan didn't bring the case. Mr. Bragg himself didn't want to bring the case. But then, he got pressured I think from the Left. The one thing that I think is changed his mind is President Trump announced he was going to run for president again.” Keep in mind, Alvin Bragg's election in November 2021 was funded by a $1 million donation from a political action committee, the Color Of Change, funded by Leftist billionaire George Soros. Colorado looked at banning all abortions On January 26th, Colorado Republican State Rep Scott Bottoms introduced a bill that would have banned all abortions in the Centennial State. Jeff Durbin, Director of End Abortion Now and a teaching elder at Apologia Church in Mesa, Arizona, urged Colorado lawmakers to support the bill. DURBIN: “They used to say, ‘I know it's technically a human. I know it looks like a person. It's not a person. It's a black man. I know it's technically human. It looks like a person. It's not a person. It's a Jew.' “Humanity is filled with this evil in this tyranny where we draw circles around ourselves and we dehumanize and butcher and tyrannize other human beings. This is a simple bill: human from the moment of fertilization. That's a fact. Equal protection for all humans -- in the womb and outside of the womb. “We all agree with the injustice of a white man killing a black man unjustly. But the pro-choice position is essentially saying, ‘We don't have a problem with that as long as it's in the womb.'” Sadly, on February 17th, in an 8-3 vote, the Colorado House Committee on Health & Insurance postponed the bill indefinitely. Christian wrestler says Muhammed false prophet And finally, a champion wrestler has come under fire for comments he made on Saturday about his Christian faith and suggesting that Muhammad is a false prophet after winning an NCAA title, reports Fox News. Penn State wrestler Aaron Brooks, age 22, shared his Christian beliefs after securing the victory, crediting the Lord for his triumph. BROOKS: “Christ's resurrection is everything. Not just His life, but His death and resurrection. You can only get that through Him, the Holy Spirit. Only through Him. No false prophets. No Muhammad, no anyone else. Only Jesus Christ Himself.” REPORTER: “Power and finesse, your calling card.” BROOKS: “The Holy Spirit. Acts chapter one, verse eight. Power, Holy Spirit power, is everything. That's where it's from.” Brooks won his third consecutive individual NCAA title on Saturday after beating a wrestler from Northern Iowa. REPORTER: “And put in perspective winning three of these in a row.” BROOKS: “God used me. He gives me this platform for this right here. It's all for His glory.” Brooks came under fire on social media for saying that Muhammad, the founder and main prophet of Islam, was a false prophet. Hemant Mehta tweeted, “It's wild to see a Christian athlete trash Muslims during a post-match interview by calling Muhammad a ‘false' prophet.” And Randy Patriot tweeted, “If it was a Muslim wrestler saying that Jesus was only a prophet, it wouldn't even be newsworthy. Militants with the Allied Democratic Forces are trying to take over the eastern Christian part of the African country. Mulinde Esemo, a church leader in the area who noted that the body of Christ is suffering great anguish, said, “We are living in a very tense situation here in Eastern [Congo], both in towns and in the villages. Scores of believers have been killed in cold blood by the [Allied Democratic Forces] rebels. It is a massacre, like one killing animals.” Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Congo, the 37th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Uganda affirms its opposition to homosexuality On Tuesday, Uganda's parliament unanimously passed the “Anti-Homosexuality Bill.” For years, homosexual behavior has been illegal in the Christian-majority African nation. However, the new law further prohibits people from identifying with sexually perverted lifestyles and imposes penalties up to death for certain acts. Musa Ecweru, Uganda's Minister for Works, said, “In our country, we will have our morals. We will protect our children. We are making this law for ourselves. We are making this law for our children. We are making this law for the children of our children. This country will stand firm; … homosexuals have no space in Uganda.” Pastor arrested 2nd time for objecting to Drag Queen show for kids Canadian officials arrested a pastor last Wednesday for a second time for protesting a drag queen story hour at a public library. Pastor Derek Reimer of Mission 7 Ministries was initially arrested for protesting a similar event on March 2. Last Tuesday, the Calgary City Council in Alberta banned people from peacefully protesting drag shows. Pastor Reimer protested the council's decision through silent prayer at the latest drag event. He received a trespass notice for the silent prayer and was arrested for protesting the event. Pro-abortion vandals strike a pro-life center again Meanwhile in the U.S., a pro-life pregnancy center in Amherst, New York was vandalized a second time in less than a year. Last Wednesday, a vandal spray-painted pro-abortion graffiti on the CompassCare Pregnancy Service building. He wrote the word “liars” in red paint. Pro-abortion activists and politicians often allege that pro-life pregnancy centers — which provide expectant moms with psychological and spiritual resources as well as needed supplies including formula, diapers, and strollers — are “fake clinics” that “lie” to moms experiencing crisis pregnancies by not promoting the murder of their preborn babies. Last June, attackers firebombed the pro-life center. Churches and pro-life centers have faced increased attacks since the leak of the anticipated Dobbs Supreme Court decision which was set to overturn Roe v. Wade. However, the Biden administration has done little in response. Even though there have been hundreds of pro-abortion vandalisms, there have only been two arrests. Ecclesiastes 8:12 says, “Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before Him.” Wyoming to ban male students from female sports As The Worldview reported on Tuesday, Wyoming will become the 19th state to ban male students from competing in female sports. Republican Governor Mark Gordon allowed the legislation to become law last Friday without signing it or vetoing it. The law states, “A government entity or licensing or accrediting organization shall not entertain a complaint, open an investigation, or take any other adverse action against a school … for maintaining separate school athletic activities and teams for students of the female sex.” Non-Evangelicals view Evangelicals negatively A new study by Pew Research found that Evangelicals are viewed relatively negatively by Americans. Thirty-two percent of non-Evangelicals view Evangelicals negatively, compared with 18% that view them positively. This makes Evangelicals among the most negatively rated religious groups by people who are not members of the group. Some of this negative sentiment is tied to politics. Democrats are more likely than even non-Evangelical Republicans to view Evangelicals negatively. In general, Americans view Jews, mainline Protestants, and Catholics positively. They tend to view atheists, Muslims, and Mormons negatively. Most Americans view Evangelicals somewhere in the middle. 248th anniversary of Patrick Henry's “Give Me Liberty or Death” speech And finally, 248 years ago today, Patrick Henry delivered his famous “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech. The American statesman gave the speech at St. John's Church in Richmond, Virginia in 1775. Listen to the dramatic conclusion of that speech by this re-enactor. RE-ENACTOR: “Gentlemen may cry, ‘Peace, peace,' but there is no peace. The war is actually begun. The next gale that blows from the north shall bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms. Our brethren are already in the field. Why stand we here idle? “Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it Almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but, as for me, give me liberty or give me death!” (applause) Patrick Henry's powerful oration is credited with swinging Virginia's convention in support of committing troops in the War for Independence to oppose the British Empire. Notable delegates who were present at the convention included future U.S. presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. What is less known about Henry's speech is that he gave it shortly after the tragic death of his wife, Sarah, who had battled mental illness. However, from his position of grief, God used Henry in a pivotal moment in the history of America's development. In 2 Corinthians 12:10, the Apostle Paul wrote, “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) State Dept. urges Burmese military to release Christian leader On February 23rd, the U.S. government condemned the Myanmar military's arrest and detention of Baptist leader Hkalam Samson, reports International Christian Concern. Samson is the former head of the Kachin Baptist Convention, a group located in northern Myanmar's Kachin state that represents much of the nation's Christian minority. He was detained in December 2022 by authorities under the military junta that seized power two years ago. State Department spokesman Ned Price issued this challenge. PRICE: “We condemn the Burma military regime's arrest and detention of prominent ethnic Kachin Christian leader Rev. [Hkalam] Samson. We are extremely concerned for his wellbeing and safety and encourage our partners and allies to join us in calling on the regime to drop all charges and immediately and unconditionally release Rev. Samson.” Pastor arrested for objecting to children's drag queen story hour Yesterday afternoon, Pastor Derek Reimer was arrested by members of the dictatorial Calgary Police Service after being warned the previous day there were two warrants out for his arrest because he protested at a children's drag queen story time at a public library last weekend, reports LifeSiteNews.com. A video, posted online by Rebel News, shows Reimer, who serves as the pastor of Mission7 street ministry, being put into the back of a police cruiser by two female officers. Tucker Carlson of Fox News described the scene that had been videotaped by Rebel News, one of the few conservative Canadian outlets. CARLSON: “The pastor, sitting in a car with bars on the windows, getting hauled away to jail for being thrown to the ground at Drag Queen Story Hour.” Before the Canadian policewoman raised the rear window of the cop car in which Reimer was detained, he said, “This is what happens when we go against the drag queens.” She was able to cut off the last word of his sentence. (Watch this video between 1:28 and 1:37.) Listen. REIMER: “This is what happens when you go against drag [queens.]” This past Saturday, Reimer had been protesting at a kids' Drag Queen Story Time event held at the Seton Calgary public library. Outrageously, the pastor was ruffed up and thrown to the ground for simply verbally opposing the sexualization of children at taxpayers' expense. Ezra Levant, Founder of Rebel News, appeared with Tucker Carlson on Fox News. LEVANT: “Tucker, you have done more journalism on Christian pastors being jailed in Canada than most Canadian media. In fact, the Canadian media either ignore it or cheer it on, calling these people bigots.” He explained who inspired the arrest of Pastor Reimer. LEVANT: “The Left wing mayor of Calgary, [Jyoti Gondek], went on a Twitter rant saying that anyone who lies or engages in vitriol or is full of hate should be arrested and charged. Now, those aren't crimes, by the way. Some of them are a matter of opinion. I could think that the mayor is full of hate. STARNES: “I know that Speaker McCarthy said a couple of months back that he's seen nothing that Biden's done that would be worthy of impeachment. But it seems violating the oath of office and not protecting this nation from enemies foreign and domestic, letting that balloon invade our airspace, that is worthy of impeachment.” Lesbian Chicago mayor defeated Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who made headlines a couple of years ago when she became the first black woman and first homosexual to lead the Windy City, has lost reelection, reports The Christian Post. She entered into a faux marriage with Amy Eshelman in 2015 when it was first possible to do so. On Tuesday, Lightfoot came in third place, finishing behind long-serving public school official Paul Vallas and Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson. Vallas, who ran on a staunchly pro-police platform, and Johnson, who had strong backing from liberals and labor unions, will square off in a runoff mayoral election on April 4. FCA ships $1 million of sports equipment to Ukrainian coaches and athletes And finally, Fellowship of Christian Athletes is partnering with Convoy of Hope to send a full shipping container which includes 40 pallets of sports equipment to Ukraine. The total value of the materials is over $1 million. Sasha Aleksandrov, FCA Ukraine Director, said, “Because of the war, sports equipment has been destroyed or abandoned.” Hundreds of FCA staff, volunteers, and donors came together from across America to donate new and used equipment for Ukrainian coaches and athletes.
