This week, Bellator MMA Star AJ Mckee stops by to talk about his passion for all things fighting and chasing adrenaline. In this short and fun-packed episode, AJ shares why they call him "the Mercenary". He takes us back to his youth, growing up the son of a professional fighter in Antonio McKee. He remembers being on the mat from an early age, getting into competitive wrestling at the age of 6. AJ talks about how fighting has always just been a part of him, so it was natural that he would sign to Bellator in 2015.  Since joining Bellator MMA, he has not only fought but also broadcasted fights. Will asks McKee if he would consider pursuing broadcasting full time, but he says he needs more adrenaline in his life. He then goes into his passion for action sports like snowboarding. Later, The boys share a few laughs as Brock shares a memory about an encounter with Mike Tyson and make predictions for the upcoming Tyson v. Paul fight in July. This is a great episode for any fans of MMA, any fans of AJ McKee or anyone who loves fighting or adrenaline. Check out AJ: https://www.instagram.com/ajmckee101

Snowboarding mishaps, mechanical bulls, and the nostalgia of early 2000s humor—strap in as Jimmy Coates and Ana Santos take a trip back to a time when baggy snow pants were all the rage and punk rock ruled the soundtrack. Our latest episode careens down the slopes of memory to revisit "Out Cold," a film that's part comedy, part snowboarding extravaganza, and maybe a cult classic. We're laughing our way through the standout scenes and cringeworthy moments alike that have kept this movie lodged in the hearts who loved it and those who didn't have just left it in the past like an old lift ticket in a winter coat pocket.Zach Galifianakis's hot tub escapades, the stark contrast between critics' scoffs and audiences' chuckles, with potty humor, token black characters, and other 2000s stereotypes—this movie has it all, and we're breaking down why it still elicits such a warm, if not slightly embarrassed, glow. We're not ignoring the elephant in the room, though: we grapple with the movie's more problematic elements, sifting through outdated slang and questionable plot points with the kind of care one might take while navigating a mogul field on a snowboard. To wrap up our powdery plunge, we take a goggle-eyed look at how this film lands its jumps and faceplants in equal measure. Whether it's worth a watch on your next lazy streaming binge, or best left in the past along with your old snowboarding VHS tapes, we've got our hot take ready. And a heads-up: you might encounter some language that didn't age as well as the memories. Join us for this episode that's like the après-ski to your day: full of laughs, good company, and just a touch of cringe.Do You Remember Liking This Movie?

Remember the teen comedy, Out Cold? David's teen choice this week is the 2001 snowboarding flick starring Jason London, the late Willie Garson and Zack Galifianakis. A parody of Casablanca, this teen movie has an eight percent on Rotten Tomatoes, a killer soundtrack and castmates that include Lee Daniels, David Koechner, Thomas Lennon and Victoria Silverstedt. In the likes of movies from the early 2000s, it's humor is reminiscent of American Pie and EuroTrip but doesn't quite hold up. Join us as we discuss Zack Galifianakis black out scenes, why Victoria Silvstedt is in this movie and why we love the soundtrack.

Episode 23 – our Christmas Special featuring Pat Daddy. First, we start things of with a segment called The Naughty, Nice, and Shit List. In this one we cover some of the most horrible and funny Christmas gifts ever. Like an Old Burnt CD. A fake cat turd. Racoon urine. And how would you feel if you got a car crash kit as a gift?! We then move on to the Wheel of Christmas gifts – a new “spin” on the Wheel of Shots. We spin the wheel to see who gets to open four gifts courtesy of Matt Daddy. The catch is that three of the gifts are crap – one even had live mousetraps in it! Only one of the gifts had something good in it! Following that, we play a good old round of Guess That Vid. Can you guess what happens in these videos based off the titles – I Went Down Hard. Big Black Rubber. Tree Hugger. And of course – Out Cold! It's then live chat challenge time – and that meant turning Mr. J into a Christmas tree. He got wrapped up in a huge strand of Christmas lights! And after that, he had to chug some Eggnog. It was glorious! We then end the show with a segment called The Best Only Fans Requests – and you won't believe some of these! Can you guess what the requests were based on these titles? Pepto Flamingo. Tub Bubbles. And what about Sweaty Belly Press? That and so much more! Out Cold is like someone spliced Caddyshack and Mallrats. In principle, that sounds awesome, right? Well, unfortunately, that's more in terms of concept—a group of shiftless park rats bumming around their place of work—and the presence of a London brother. In Out Cold, it's Jason, rather than Jeremy. I guess there's slightly more to it. They do have to save their fledgling ski resort from an evil corporate stooge, John Majors (played by the legendary Lee Majors, how clever). And there's a baffling love triangle that makes less than a semblance of sense. If this sounds too harsh, I apologize. After all, this wonderful film does contain a polar bear licking salt off someone's balls; that same someone having sex with a whirlpool jet; and a mechanical bull appearing to climax during a rough ride. I'd say the 90s were a lawless time, but this came out in 2001. Anyway, sit back, chug some Christmas Ale from Great Lakes Brewing Co., and hit the slopes! I, the Thunderous Wizard (@WriterTLK), Mayor McCheese, Capt. Cash, and Chumpzilla are shredding some fresh gnar sans pants to determine who's King of the Mountain! Home Sweet Home Alone is the epitome of a lazy, soulless rehash; and, quite frankly, it is the antithesis of how you leverage a valuable IP. Disney should be ashamed. With their abundance of resources, they trotted out not only one of the worst films of the year, it's one of the worst of the decade. Home Sweet Home Alone is never funny. It is quite often painful, though, and that's not including the myriad of death traps the "burglars" are forced to endure. I use quotes because the "antagonists" are anything but that. They're actually just a struggling family attempting to retrieve a priceless doll they believe to be stolen. Thus, instead of relishing in the pain of two would-be felons, you are essentially tasked with laughing at two broke parents. Hooray! Not really, this whole endeavor is about as bad as taking a bag of sugar to the privates or a well-aimed pool ball to the cranium. Hence, to watch it, you must drink. So sit back, knock down a few Big Shanty Graham Cracker Stouts from Burnt Hickory Brewing, and prime the dart gun! I, the Thunderous Wizard (@WriterTLK), Mayor McCheese, and Chumpzilla are avoiding that little jerk's boobytraps! This Week's Segments: Introduction/Plot Breakdown – This movie is an absolute travesty. (00:00) Lingering Questions – We hear from our brothers in beer at Hop Nation USA, and then lament all the idiotic gags this movie throws at you. (40:53) The "Look What You Did, You Little Jerk" Trivia Challenge – The Double Turn Podcast rigs the turnbuckle to break, and then Chumpzilla challenges the field to trivia about the movie. (1:04:12) Recommendations – We offer our picks for the week and next up: We continue "Hops and Jingle Bell Flops" with Out Cold, which isn't technically a Christmas movie, but there's snow in it! Read along to practice your English and to learn the English phrases OUT COLD and COLD FEETIn this English lesson, I wanted to help you learn the English phrase out cold. The driveway behind me is very icy right now. If I slipped on it and hit my head, I would probably be knocked out cold. When someone is out cold, it means they are unconscious. Sometimes when you're watching a boxing match and people are fighting, the one boxer might punch the other boxer and then the other boxer might be knocked out cold. So when you say that someone is out cold, it means that they are unconscious. It means they have been knocked out. That's another way that we say it. So again, the driveway behind me was all snow, but things are melting now, so there's ice with a thin layer of water on top. It's very, very slippery. If I slipped on it and hit my head, it would probably knock me out cold. That wouldn't be very good.WANT FREE ENGLISH LESSONS? GO TO YOUTUBE AND SEARCH, "BOB THE CANADIAN"#englishlesson #englishvocabulary #speakenglish #bobthecanadianThe other phrase I wanted to teach you today also has the word cold, and it's the phrase cold feet. Now, you can use this phrase literally. You can say, "I have cold feet because the house is not warm enough," but we usually use this phrase to talk about when someone is nervous about doing something, maybe nervous to the point that they don't do it. We could say this. Let's say a friend and I were planning to go skydiving. We were going to jump out of a plane with a parachute, and then the day of the event, the day when we were going to do it, if I was at the airport and my friend never showed up, I could say, "Oh, he must have gotten cold feet." So he must have gotten to the point where he was just too afraid to do it. We sometimes use the phrase cold feet to talk about people when they're about to get married. Sometimes the bride or groom on the day of the wedding might start to get cold feet. That means they might start to think about, "Do I really want to marry this guy?" or, "Do I really want to marry this person?" Usually they do, but sometimes on the morning of their wedding, they might start to get a little bit of cold feet. So again, you can say that they have cold feet or you can get cold feet. You can say it either way.To review, when you are knocked out cold, it means you are unconscious. Clunk, hit your head, out cold. I have actually been out cold once in my life. I'm not sure why that happened again. I hit my head really hard and I was out cold for a little bit. And when you get cold feet or when you have cold feet, it means you're nervous or a little bit worried about doing something. But hey, let's look at a comment from a previous video. This comment is from Maggie, and Maggie says this. "When my junior high school daughter has finished her assignments for school and is doing nothing except browsing her phone, I ask her to earn her keep. For example, doing the dishes. Sometimes it's hard to keep it together, though, when I lose my temper." I think the comment got cut off a little bit there. I don't have the rest of it here, but I'll put it on the screen anyways. And my response was this to Maggie. It's good for kids to help around the house and to earn their keep. Someday they will be adults, and if they don't learn how to cook and clean now, who will teach them?Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/bobthecanadian)

Trodde dere virkelig vi hadde gitt oss for i år? Vi kunne ikke avrunde vårt første år uten det lille ekstra helt på tampen! Du kan sammenligne oss litt med Jimmy Gresshoppe i dette med "from all of us to all of you" osv. Sam Lobban has been working in men's fashion for nearly a decade. His career has taken him from the shop floor of a boutique in the U.K. to his current post, vp of men's fashion at Nordstrom. Throughout his expansive career, Lobban has had a front-row seat to the rapidly changing fashion industry. As he sees it, understanding the evolution of the industry is pretty simple: Things are moving faster, and more people are watching. Since joining the team at Nordstrom in 2018, Lobban has launched a handful of New Concept pop-ups in stores, which offer a carefully curated assortment of products tied to a central theme. Some previous concepts include Concept 001: Out Cold, which was designed to showcase cold-weather performance wear, and Concept 004: Patagonia, which was in collaboration with the popular outdoor brand and hosted a wide variety of sustainably produced, fair-trade products. Now, following his fifth and most recent New Concept launch with Nordstrom, Lobban wants to continue to push the boundaries of wholesale menswear by redefining his relationships with brands and the way he tells the story of their products. On this week's episode of The Glossy Podcast, Lobban joins Hilary Milnes in the studio to discuss the changing landscape of men's fashion, the modern retailer-designer relationship and the internet's increasing impact on menswear.

Michael fell into film score composition by chance when The Greyboy Allstars were asked to score Jake Kasdan's first feature Zero Effect and worked on the music for the highly regarded (though short-lived) TV series, Freaks and Geeks.  In 2000, Richard Kelly commissioned Michael to do the soundtrack for the film Donnie Darko. Its original score album went on to sell over 100,000 copies (in part because of Michael's remake of Tears for Fears' song Mad World, featuring Gary Jules).  Michael has since gone on to compose scores for the movies Out Cold, Nothing, Cypher, Orange County, Me and You and Everyone We Know, The TV Set, a segment of Paris, je t'aime, Unaccompanied Minors, and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. More recently, Michael has composed for: Funny People, Bridesmaids, The Five Year Engagement, Cyrus and Jeff Who Lives At Home for The Duplass Brothers, and the upcoming film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist for Mira Nair.
